Super Sailor Cybele: G1

The sound of Paradise crying out made Cybele visibly flinch, but she did not turn back. The Pages had each other. They had Anser, and her half-remembered feelings told her the chibi was more than capable.

Her eyes were locked on Albite. Her job was to occupy this one, so that the others would only have the basic corrupt to worry about.

Antlers earned him an eyebrow raise, even with everything else that was happening in the periphery. "It's Cybele, technically," she said, her voice level, if a bit cold, as if they were simply chatting, as if they both did not know what the other was here for.

They did, though. She stayed a half pace away from him for a moment longer, making a show of looking over his outfit, from the vest down to the fancier shoes.

"Mmm," she said, her violet eyes snapping back up to meet his gaze. "A shame." It wasn't a surprise. She'd suspected that the Chaos had its claws deep in him already, but that didn't make her happy to see him stronger. "I suppose this means we have unfinished business, doesn't it?"

That was all the warning he would get before she came at him, swinging her fist at his face.

Her voice lowered to a growl. "And that you've used up all your chances."

General Sylvite: F5

Sylvite's dagger chipped into wood instead of any part of the Page, and she gave an annoyed little huff. Weren't Pages supposed to have the worst stuff to fight with out of everyone in the war? Not that Pages necessarily were useless, she was sure they could do plenty of nasty stuff, but she found that she was suddenly very curious where he'd gotten such a big stick.

Especially when he jabbed it right in her stomach and sent her stumbling back. Ow.

"I mean, you say that," she said, or tried to say. It came out as more of a wheeze. "But then you stab me, so like, fair's fair."

It was gonna take more than a big stick to stop her. The feeling was coming back into her other hand, finally, so this time as she stepped forward, she feinted with the first knife before summoning the other again and slashing out.

Knight Whisler C-3
Whistler scoffed, his expression growing rather dark for a moment as he stopped his spell and grabbed the squire by the arms, looking at her, and ignoring all of the fight around them, glowering. “Is this a trap? Are you working with that skunk? You know I’ve been through this before, and little girl, I will not hesitate to kill you before I let anyone get corrupted because you and ******** Ashanite think it’s fun.”

His words came out forcefully, louder than he meant them too, but his anger was burning hot.

All this chaos. All this pain and bloodshed. Everything was the fault of this little miss right here. Her and the ******** General that stood in a small crowd of cronies, with Hyperborea glaring daggers and working hard to stop them.

“This is the same spot, you know. Don’t think I'm stupid. He told me about his little game. Strung me along for so long while I mourned him. So if this is all part of your little dance? I’ll snap your neck right here and now. I won’t fall for this again.”

Empyrean, Page of Jupiter - G1

He checked his wife over, searching for wounds beneath the shredded part of her dress, but there was no blood to be seen. Either she’d gotten lucky, or the spotted Senshi’s magic didn’t leave a lasting reminder of the pain.

“Are you alright?” Empyrean asked.

There was little time for conversation, so Empyrean didn’t expect a response. Anser used magic of her own, which was… unique, to say the least. Geese. If they weren’t in such a dire situation, Empyrean might have been amused. The honking was a nice touch, and as the magic washed over him, he felt more nimble, his reflexes enhanced, just as Anser said.

Empyrean curled an arm around Paradise’s shoulders and led her around. While Anser moved in to throw a punch into the Corrupt Senshi’s face, they could come up behind and pincer their foe in.

Only when they were successfully behind the Corrupt Senshi did Empyrean summon the unwieldy anemometer that was his weapon, and throw it.

He could have gone for the head, but this one seemed young, too, so he aimed for the legs.

---

Corrupt Sailor Cymophane- G1

Cymophane saw the punch coming and reacted fast enough for the Senshi’s fist to do little more than graze his cheek. He righted himself quickly and put a step’s worth of distance between them, only to trip over a rusty, busted looking hunk of metal that collided with his calves.

“What the what.”

The two pages had circled behind him. Cymophane almost laughed. They must think themselves clever.

He smiled, because that’s what he always did, and before any of them could attack him again, said, “Whoa whoa whoah, okay, I get it, I’m outnumbered here. I’m pretty sure I could still take all of you, but…”

Did he want to? Meh. This wasn’t how he’d planned to spend his night. He could be flexible, but…

Cymophane brought a hand to his cheek, felt the skin for any tender spots.

“I’m only here because General Ashanite said he needed help. You know, during all the missions I’ve been on, I’ve never met an Ashanite. Couldn’t tell you who he is, so I don’t even really care what he wants with this Squire person. Seems like there are easier ways to get someone corrupted, if you ask me.”

The more he talked about corrupting people, the more he had to agree with his BFF Kamacite. It really sounded horrible when they put it like that. Corrupted. They should come up with better terminology.

“My General’s not too happy about it either,” he continued in a conversational tone, like they all got together to chat and gossip on the regular. “It’s just another mess he’ll try to clean up, probably end up in the General King's office again. Poor Jet. He works so hard, and this is what he gets. Axinite, too, actually. Maybe they just sit in his office together and cry.”

Læraðr, Page of Neptune—E5

Læraðr chuckled breathlessly and rolled them over so he was on top, arching a perfectly manicured eyebrow. "Oh, that's what you think. You can have a lot of fun with clothes on."

He was getting dangerously close to saying things aloud that he shouldn't, but he was trying to keep mostly calm in the middle of this... Oh, goddamnit. It was a dark and stormy night... Jesus, could that be any more cliche?

General Jet - C3 judging everyone

Jet was beginning to think that his squire really wasn’t worth the effort. There was the Captain and Lieutenant going after her, and some Chibis running around, and some kind of magical orbs bursting into light when they were hit.

“What a ******** mess,” he grumbled to himself and crossed his arms over his chest. “Why are we even here? We should have just cut our losses at the beginning,” he complained to Faustite as he glanced at the weapon that he supposed was a suncatcher. He had no idea.

“What are your thoughts on attacking the children?” he asked Faustite as he tried to decide where he wanted to put most of his effort, or if he wanted to get Cymophane and leave. “Everyone gets so pissy about the children, but they’re old enough to make the decision to fight. Seems like a threat to me.” As if he hadn’t been a child when he joined the Negaverse.

Transcended Eternal Scylla, Senshi of The Kraken - b***h teleported to C3 don't ask questions, it happened

She was so comfortable for a minute, that as Acubens approached Scylla like one would a cornered dog, the Senshi wasn't even inclined to fight it. The smile she gave Acubens was placid and dreamy, because wouldn't being nice to Acubens make Ariadne happy? Scylla liked Ariadne.

      Ariadne deserved to be happy.

"I don't like fighting," Scylla agreed with Ariadne, because yes, fighting was awful, but also- "But I really hate your court. I'm sorry, I don't mean to. Please don't be upset."

She was about to say something else when a noise met her ears- one she was intimately familiar with. "MOMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! HELP ME, MOOMMYYYYY!!!!!!"

It was kind of like how in the Exorcist, when that head went swiveling and then the pea soup exploded? Yeah. That. Except the pea soup was about to be tentacles. "Charybdis," Scylla snarled under her breath, exasperated and alarmed- and then took off running.

Still attached to Ariadne. In fact, with the magic still riding her, she felt the terrible need to keep Ariadne happy and safe- and obviously, safest would be with Scylla.

Some part of her now regretted having used her Eternal powers on the DMC, though it wasn't a very big part. Because, really, if Giulia deemed herself in trouble enough to scream for mommy like the child she was, instead of trying to act like the big, strong senshi she wasn't, then Jada wanted the extra control and the rage that her other powers brought.

She burst into the group, trying to take in what she had been ignoring before- the Generals, Hyperborea, the chibis, with the lieutenants and a squire- a squire being threatened by one of their own.

"Put the ******** Squire down," Scylla snarled at the Transcended Knight Whisler, "And you- get the ******** away from my daughters." Poor Wavellite and Leifite. Ara was not, in fact, her daughter, but really, who cared? "AND YOU!" Short, glowing, and ready to throw down, Scylla shoved a middle finger in the air at the Generals Ashanite, Jet, and Faustite.

"SCYLLA'S HUNGER!" the scream probably hurt poor Ariadne's little ears, but the other senshi's magic was fading, and Scylla found herself dropping the Dark Mirror senshi as she streaked forward, and her magic erupted from the ground ahead of and around her, the Kraken's arms flying towards the Negaversers- and one towards Whisler as well, who was distinctly threatening one of their own.

She didn't have TIME for this s**t.

      Quote:
So, small note: Technically, these tentacles are "cinematic" sized in ORPs, with the caveat I added post-approval limiting these tentacles to uh... 15-foot long tentacles. Basically. "Unless desired for cinematic purposes." So if you are a Negaverse/Chaos player/WHISLER, and you want a terrifyingly massive tentacle coming for your face, aiming to punch your buttcheek out your eyehole, then I mean... have fun.

      Quote:
Sailor Scylla is able to create what looks like tentacles, but instead of suckers on them they appear to have tiny teeth. These tentacles can either grab and hold the opponent, the small mouths tearing at the enemy's flesh, or strike the opponent. Scylla can create up to 12 of these tentacles at once, an absolute maximum. One tentacle can be maintained for up to a full 120 seconds, each subsequent tentacle draining time off of this maximum. The full 12 tentacles averages 30 seconds and leaves her able to walk- they could last for longer, but the effort of maintaining them would leave her severely drained from their use and therefore completely helpless when they wore off. Maintaining them longer would therefore be a last-ditch resort, only if she knew help was on the way. She can use her maximum number of tentacles once per day, and any mix of the other tentacles would vary on usage and stress.

Basic Dark Mirror Bellerophon

Bellerophon had immediately rushed to Itokawa's side as soon as the tentacle had let go and was glad to see that the other was mostly okay, but he appeared to either be seriously bruised or the wind had been knocked out of him. Bell answered him in Thai to say that he was okay, he had managed to avoid the attack.

Itokawa appeared to be okay enough to stand up on his own and Bell took the offered hand. He took a look around at what was clearly chaos, and not the kind that gave them their powers and he had to agree. This wasn't their fight and he wasn't sure that they would be gaining anything by staying here and fighting.

He nodded to the other. "I agree, though I can't mirror walk. Do you have enough energy to do so? If not we can try to get out of here the normal way." Or to call it "running away". But what were they supposed to do about a fight that clearly didn't need to involve the Dark Mirror? What would they prove by staying?

If they fought more of the Order, then it would mean they would be targeted even more by Order than they already were. They appeared to be on thin ice for some. And if they fought any Negaverse Agents, they would be added to their list of targets to defeat.

Sometimes he thought that being a Dark Mirror was a lot more trouble than an Order or Corrupt. But he still wouldn't change it if he had the chance.

General Chambersite

Chambersite was glad that the Lieutenant was confident in her skills. It meant that she likely knew how to fight. Different compared to most Agents who entered. Somehow the Negaverse still felt the need to corrupt random people instead of going after the perfectly battle-ready students from Romano's. He had only been corrupted early due to begging for it. One of the most humiliating things he had done in his life, but something that needed to be done.

It was then he noticed the Senshi that was near the both of them, though he was interested int he magic that the Corrupt spoke of. Before he could say anything to either of them however, they were being confronted by another Senshi, this one an Eternal and transcendence.

So if Chambersite had to, it would be death the usual way then. He decided not to summon his weapon for now. Even if he knew how to use the darn thing, he still wasn't used to using a weapon like an... actual weapon. It was weird.

He grinned at the Eternal. "As much as I disagree with this plan of forcing corruption, I can't just leave without doing a bit of fighting first. Then it would just would have been a waste to come here." He said before teleporting next to the Eternal and throwing out a punch. It was a risky first move, but someone had to make it. Besides, he wanted to see what this Senshi's powers were. If he needed to, he would summon his weapon.

General Ashanite — C3

Ashanite watched the wisps whiz out of Hyperborea's bracelet, and inhaled, sharply. He didn't like this new variable added to the pile--and as he dismissed his weapon to twist and dodge Hyperborea's fist--that was a clever tactic, he liked it and he'd have to remember it for the next time he fought another person with a polearm--Wavellite went for them, and he spun away from Hype to warn her away--

"Wave, be careful!" It wasn't that he didn't trust her, but she was his Captain and he wouldn't see her hurt. But it was too late; she was already attacking them, and each hit made him flinch until he watched her crumple to the ground.

Worse, there was an Eternal now, threatening his Lieutenant.

"I hate to interrupt our dance, Hyperborea; you've always been such a lovely partner, matching me step for step." His tone was dry, but he wasn't looking at her; his eyesd were fixed on the melodrama playing out around Caer Sidi, as Whisler hauled her away from her defenders and grabbed her.

He was suspicious. How quaint.

For a moment, he considered playing into that suspicion, but Whisler was too smart to believe him, and Hyperobrea seemed particularly attached to this Squire, so she probably wouldn't either. Besides, with Scylla's tentacles whipping up, Ashanite had a much more important priority--

"Razikale!" he bellowed, pulling on his bond with his youma. At the same time, he reached for the power within him that let him call more of them from the Rift, to unleash around them.

As his dragon appeared next to him, he gestured forward. "Get Wavellite and Leifite. Keep them safe," he ordered. "No matter the cost."

Razikale nodded.

"Understood, General," she said, and she launched forward towards the tentacles, interposing herself between Wave and Leif and the Eternal's magic. It meant he wasn't defending himself, and so one raced towards him and knocked him back, but that was better than letting the girls in his care be hurt. That, if you asked Ashanite, was utterly unacceptable.

[Caer Sidi Squire of Cosmos - C3]

Caer had thought she was saved, being pulled in by another Transcendent Knight. But the way he was looking at her...the hate in his eyes...Her own went wide with fear, and for a moment she thought to conjure her magic again to defend herself from the threats he was hurling at her and to maybe make him let go.

"I'm not working with anyone, I swear," she said, shaking her head. "Especially not that--that monster, he--" She swallowed, tensely. "I saw him attacking a civilian, and I didn't want to get involved, because I was just a Page, but I--" She held up her hand, so that Whisler might see the Oathmark tattoo there. "I'm Oathsworn to protect those weaker than me, and of course a civilian is....very much that. So I went in to fight him, and I powered up to Squire, but I couldn't fight a General alone and I didn't want to die or be corrupted, so I called for help, I swear, that's what happened--"

She winced, as an Eternal Senshi came crashing in, and she suspected this was the "mommy" Charybdis had called for. Especially given her blinding rage, which was just another piece of fear for Caer Sidi.

This was a whole lot of screaming, and a whole lot of anger, all around her, and--

She was an idiot. If anyone got hurt here, on either side--that poor Captian, unconscious after attacking the wisps Hype had sent to defend her!--that was her fault. She had done this, and even if she wasn't playing whatever game Whisler was accusing her of, she still carried that weight.

Overwhelmed by fear, Caer Sidi's knees went limp, and she inhaled sharply.

"I'm sorry!"

As if that would help, at all.

Transcendent Eternal Encke & Viatrix [Square D2]

Encke side-eyed Viatrix as she confidently sat herself next to him, side-eyed Basiluzzo a little harder as he also decided to come up next to him -- he wasn't surprised, just worried, honestly -- before the yelling of a child distracted him. He glanced over his shoulder in the direction of the fountain, taking in with some alarm the sheer amount of energy signatures and people over there.

Basiluzzo headed that way. Encke stayed back to stare down Chambersite.

He couldn't help something of a barked laugh at the concept of having to fight, immediately adopting a defensive position and knowing the general would not back down. He had expected, to some degree, for the general to use his powers to his advantage, hadn't quite expected the angle but rolled with the punch so it didn't knock him too badly off balance. "Have you generals ever thought of, I don't know."

Encke rounded back with a kick, aiming for Chambersite's side.

"Letting it go? Just leave if you don't agree!"

Viatrix, for her part, found herself scrunching down and observing Chambersite's legs very closely. Maybe she could get a good shot on him and derail his efforts -- she squinted hard, waited, and then lunged as she unsheathed her claws and attempted to slash at his leg.

Whether she was successful or not, she jumped back; Manxes were not particularly large cats, Viatrix was no exception, and she had no interest in either Chambersite intentionally or Encke accidentally stepping on her.

Lieutenant Ransomite -- E5

He went along with the reversal of position well enough, even if it caught him by surprise and pulled an impolite word from his lips. Ransomite looked up at Læraðr, mirroring that arched brow with his perhaps less shapely one.

"Oh, sure, that I know." His chuckle rolled low in his throat. "But I have to warn you--I don't have my fun in this position." He shoved up to flip them both back over. "Better.." Though they needed to make this look more like a fight than questionably appropriate wrestling...

Basiluzzo, Page of Uranus -- C3

The tentacles erupting absolutely everywhere gave Basiluzzo a moment of pause, but remembering the children made it only a moment. He moved to put himself between Charybdis and Ara and any of the Chaos agents that might have managed to avoid the rage inbound. At least it looked like Faustite was otherwise occupied, and Basiluzzo was going to have to swallow his desire to see that get worse for Faustite for now. It was more important that he make sure no one came after the kids.

Not to mention Caer Sidi was now on the ground--

Basiluzzo turned so that he could try to keep all three of them in view without moving too far from any one of them. The rock he scooped from the ground in one smooth motion was not a light one.

Deneb, Senshi of Bubbles - F5

This was very much becoming Very Not Worth It, not that it had ever been worth it to begin with, save for the thought that this senshi maybe knew a cat that he could sing her praises to about how she had come to his rescue. Other than that, the fact that he could apparently use his magic to create shields made her wonder- was he really that pathetic as to that he couldn't handle things on his own?

A Page had shown up, and was challenging the General, which, well, good for him? It wasn't like she hadn't challenged an eternal corrupt to a fight before, though the last time she did, it had ended in talks of didn't she want to join the Negaverse? At least, that was how she remembered it, anyway. It'd been years, since she'd seen that corrupt.

The Dark Mirror senshi she had taken on referred to her as a kid, and Deneb bristled at the comment. She was fairly certain they were similar in age- who was she calling a kid? Didn't anyone teach you it's rude to barge in on private fights? Sansuna had said, but since when was Deneb concerned with being rude? If it weren't for the fact that she was trying to get herself noticed by coming to a stranger's rescue, she would have otherwise just left Athalia to his own fate, but with such a large scale battle going on everywhere, this seemed like the best opportunity to try and leave an impression on someone.

The DMS moved to strike Deneb, and she prepared herself to brace for impact, to try to dodge somehow. Suddenly, though, Sansuna then seemed to change up tactics, and was apparently going to aim for Athalia instead?? Deneb wasn't particularly sure how much she really wanted to help at this point, since he seemed to have things at least somewhat covered with his shield, and the page seemed to have the general occupied, but whatever, she could at least try and throw Sansuna's trajectory off course before the DMS made contact.

"Bubble Blast!"

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Bubble Blast
Deneb sends a volley of magical bubbles blowing out toward a target, which burst upon contact; they do not pop on their own. The bubbles leave temporary marks, mostly some minor bruising, that fade when the magic ends, unless the player wishes for them to linger afterwards. The magic lasts for twenty seconds, and can be used up to three times.

Læraðr shuddered as they flipped back over and Ransomite had him well and truly pinned. Oh. Oh, wow.

"Hah. Well. I have fun this way, but you never know if you don't go beyond basic b***h," he said with a slightly feral grin. "I don't suppose you want to just... let me up and go so we can ditch whatever the ******** is about to happen over here?"
