The leaves seem to shrivel as the attacks continued; green acid seemed to be running low and the leaves and vines alike were quickly becoming dark and brittle. A good hit might snap off some of the thinner vines. It put up a fight for as long as it could, flailing and thrashing until sparks began to ignite across the browning foliage. It continued to shrivel into itself and then--suddenly--it exploded entirely in a burst of colorful light. It wasn’t quite as blinding as it had been in the past; even those closest to the strange alien plant will only cause spotty vision if they are staring right into the explosion. The light fades slowly, revealing nothing more than a charred hole in the ground. It isn’t hard to piece things together--the great burst of light in the sky a few nights ago wasn’t a firework display gone awry--it was a meteor crashing into Earth. It was this thing crashing into Earth. The plants are no longer leaning towards the crater in the ground, and all the strange, beautiful fireflies are gone. All traces of the shadow are gone, though the sensation of guilt seems to linger for a short while. The night is beautiful--and, when the thin layer of clouds peel away from the moon, the light catches something on the ground. By the feet of every participant is a Firework Flower, a beautiful glass-like flower. The alien plant had been covered in many beautiful flowers, and it seems that when it imploded on itself the heat must have interacted with some of the flowers. The hardened flowers are almost as clear as crystal, though inside they are filled with what seems to be a strange iridescent fiber with an iridescent glean to it. It glistens, almost holographic, in the moonlight. It almost looks like an exploding firework is trapped within the glass. More than just that, there are a few strange seed pods, brown and brittle, by the feet of a select few. Quote: If you rolled a total of 20 or higher for any one of your characters, you may claim one Brittle Seed Pod to give to one of your participating characters. No matter how many characters you played in the event, only one of these characters can find an item. Only players who rolled a 20 or over can pick one of these up, but they can give it to any of their participating characters in the event. If you rolled over 20 for any one of your characters and weren't quoted, you can still claim an item, it just means we missed it when quoting people! Thank you for participating! Your characters are now free to leave! Each character can only pick up one Firework Flower! The Firework Flowers are just mementos; they are beautiful to look at but have no magical properties! Any examination of the flower will yield no results; it seems to appear as a beautiful paperweight. Quote: The Brittle Seed Pod is dry and brown; it feels as though it will crumble if you squeeze it too tightly, however if you hurl the pod onto the ground it will explode in a harsh light that will blind everyone in the area for up to two minutes. The light does not discriminate, so make sure that if you are using it you close your eyes before it hits the ground! This item can only be used once and will completely disintegrate upon use! If you return to the scene after the explosion you may find up to three clear marbles that glisten with small, iridescent fireworks inside. They catch the light beautifully and can be kept as mementos. If your character was powered, this roleplay will count as a battle towards their requirements! If you wrote at least 500 words you may also claim a Luna-P Growth Item! If your character participated as a civilian, this roleplay can only count as a regular roleplay towards requirements (if applicable), but if you wrote at least 500 words you may also claim a Henshin Pen growth item! Regardless of how many characters you played, you can only claim one growth item. Make sure you post for this in your growth item log!

Sailor Adorea - Senshi of Optimism
They had won.
Somehow, she'd not managed to disappoint herself and the trio of other individuals who had been close by. Abeosamu had survived, as had Arthur and Ananke; all in all everyone was in one piece but she couldn't say the same for others. With most of her energy spent, she knelt down for a few moments to take a breath and caught sight of the peculiar seeds that lay at her feet. Lips pursing, she reached out to grab it and turned it in her palm several times; it seemed inactive but perhaps it would be in her best interests to put it somewhere more safe and secure.
The other glimmering objects looked less questionable, a now crystalline flower from the beast they had slain and what else was that twinkling? Her brow lifted as she carefully scooped up the flower to clear the way for the rest of her excavation, soon picking up another item as well in the form of the violet star charm. Ah, but someone must have dropped that in their attempts to flee, she'd hold on to it in the event that someone came back to look for it.
"Are you guys all right?" she asked after she had finally regained her composure and rose to her feet, cupping the three items in her palm as she gazed at Ananke, then Abeosamu and then Arthur. "No one needs any paramedics, right?"

Abeosamu Chibi Senshi of PenguinsVictory! They had won! Abeosamu stared in disbelief as the plant shriveled away and crumpled in on itself, until it finally burst into a colorful bright light! She took a deep breath and gave a sigh of relief. She has been worried there for awhile. But she had made it out in one piece. She looked down at her feet and noticed that the plant had left behind some very beautiful, almost crystal-like flowers. Abeosamu picked one up and held it in her hand, examining it carefully. It was very pretty. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to keep it. So she pocketed the firework flower for safe-keeping. She heard Adorea call over, and her attention snapped back to the others. “I’m okay!” she called back, heading over to them. “That was definitely a close call though I think…” she trailed off, a sweatdrop forming on her forehead. But she offered a smile to show everything was alright. Abeosamu’s mauvian friend reappeared too. “Pyper!” Abeosamu gasped. “Where were youuu?!” she asked while wearing a frown. She was ticked off that the cat had disappeared at such an important time. But Pyper reassured her that was okay. “You’re fiiine,” Pyper replied. “I would have jumped in to save you if need be.” She winked and grinned. But Abe just rolled her eyes. “Here take this,” the cat said, offering an item. ((also picking up one Luna-P growth item))

Sailor Ananke - Super Senshi of PortalsStaring down at the items that were left behind... some flower and seeds Ananke could only pick them up quickly before heading over to her fellow senshi. Walking over to the group she brushed her hair over her ear. "I'm glad everyone is looking okay." She paused for a second. "I think I got out relatively unscathed maybe I'll get bruises but I don't think I'll need to go to the hospital."

Battered and burned, her head still reeling, Orah squeezed her eyes shut as the light grew and flashed... and then disappeared.
Everything seemed suddenly quiet. She peeked her eyes open, spots still dancing in her vision, but there were no more lights. Nothing crashing into her, or exploding. She felt exhausted... like weights dragged at all her limbs.
What had that been? Unpowered, Orah couldn't have said if it had been a youma or not... but she doubted it. There had been people she couldn't place when she arrived, people in dark colors that likely marked them as Negaverse. It wasn't often that she saw them attacked by their own monsters. Was this something like the Blight? Chaos seeds apart from the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror.
It was too much to think about right now though. Pain radiated from the patches of skin that had burned and the sore spots would end up bruises, if they weren't worse. Without the threat of the plant, other threats might be drawn here and it safest to try and leave as soon as she could. Or as soon as she could gather the energy to get up off the ground.

Idavollr Idavollr was vaguely aware that she wasn't the only person attacking - no make that defending herself from the murderous plant, but it was hard to focus on them as she did her best to make her way over in the direction where she thought that the other had gone flying her–
Well at least she thought that it had been Orah that she'd seen although she couldn't be certain and even if it wasn't then she reckoned that the other could do with a hand.
The leaves appeared to be shrivelling as the fight continued, sap coating the ground, leaves and vines alike suddenly brittle making it that much easier for Idavollr to continue to press forwards.
It was only after the sparks ignited the, by now, shrivelled plant that Idavollr finally spotted Orah, the other's purple medical shrbs illuminated in the colourful glow of the plant's self-implosion, she took a step forward and frowned as something against the ground caught her attention, reaching down to scoop up first the strange glass-like flower that she had almost trodden on and then the even stranger brown and brittle seed pod that lay nestled against it.
It was something that would have to be investigated later - much - later as she tucked both away and stepped over, closer, to where the other woman still lay on the ground.
"Ora..?" Her voice was soft as she reached out with a hand that hesitated as she momentarily dithered over whether to try gently shaking the other–
And then it mentally occurred to her that she might not want her cousin's flatmate knowing about the whole Idavollr thing, given that it may toss up questions that she didn't particularly want to answer - and she most certainly didn't want the whole Idavollr thing getting back to Arian - especially as it wasn't particularly like she had any answers about it herself.
"Miss?" She eventually settled on, hoping that the other woman had missed her earlier lapse, nose wrinkling slightly as the stench of plant. "Miss can you stand?"
Truth be told, Orah looked like she needed to go to a medical facility and preferably - at least to Idavollr's way of thinking - a hospital.
She waited to see if she would respond, her hand still outstretched, although Idavollr was intending to take the other with her either way–
Because whilst she had no intention of Arian ever finding out the whole Idavollr business, she knew that her cousin cared about his dark-haired flatmate - and it was because of that care that she would step in to help - at least in the form of getting the other woman to some sort of medical facility.Whimsical Blue Hope this works Blue, I'll do an official exit on my next tag <3

Sailor Adorea - Senshi of Optimism
Adorea was relieved to say the least; so all three of them had managed to stumble out of this with a semblance of dignity. All in all they had done quite well all things considered, from a personal stand point she had honestly thought others would have had to haul her limp carcass out of a ditch.
...Maybe that training really was starting to pay off?
She smiled, the relief clear and then peered down at the objects in her hand. She had nowhere to put these, not without powering down first to recover her bag anyway. Given that she had been thoroughly drilled on when not to do that, it was going to have to wait. Instead, it was probably in her best interests to take her leave. It seemed that Abeosamu's companion had come to collect her as well, so one could only assume that there were others in a similar mindset to her.
"Well, if you do need anything apparently that phone's supposed to be pretty useful," she chuckled. She was referring to the senshi phone they had all been given, one she hadn't really been using as much as she should have. "So you can always hit me up?" she offered and peered down at her hands again. "I think I might get these to a safe place before anything weird happens in the meantime," she admitted and shook her head.
"Then get myself cleaned up," she added as she gave a careful wave and set off back towards home. She'd be taking a much longer route of course, one that wove through a variety of alleys and streets, but she would at least get there.
[Adorea exit stage right!]

Sailor Ananke - Super Senshi of PortalsAnanke gave a big smile. She gave a wave. "Ah, yes if we meet again we should exchange information." Looking at the items she was keeping safe as well Ananke nodded at Adora. "Ah yes... I should probably get these contained somewhere." With a turn to look at the remaining group, she was talking to she twitched her nose. "Ah, I don't think I caught your name..." She said looking at the Chibi Senshi. "You should probably ask Arthur or a Senshi you trust to walk home with you..." Ananke put on a gentle smile. "You don't have to but it dangerous to walk home alone after a battle." "I'd walk you part of the way but I managed to get away without using much of my power or getting injured, so I'm going to go and look around the area a bit more before going home." With a wave, Ananke took off to check out the other areas nearby to see if anything was left.

When the plant exploded, Sapphirine quickly looked away, squeezing her eyes tightly against the light. She was so sick of light! And honestly…she would crush whatever flowers she saw from now on, no matter what kind they ******** flowers. If she ever found someone who wanted to be in a relationship with her…they better not think flowers were a good idea.
Tears burned in her eyes suddenly and she wiped them away hastily before the redheaded senshi could see. Because honestly she knew that if Haumea would one day turn up with a bunch of flowers…
Well. She’d be utterly delighted. No matter the fact that she had nearly gotten eaten tonight.
…And had to rely on the enemy to keep herself safe.
…And had kept the enemy safe as well.
Oh she hoped that the Lady Metallia would forgive her.
Her dark eyes lowered and saw a sparkling object at her feet and she picked it up with a small frown, inspecting the almost crystalline flower with some interest. There was a cute Violet Star Charm attached to it and she blinked, taking it off of the delicate petal and looking at it with what almost passed for a smile. There was one other thing on the ground and as Sapphirine picked up the strange dry seed pod, she frowned slightly.
“…what a lot of junk on the ground…don’t you think?” Her gaze drifted to Caia and she hesitated. “…Thanks for your help…but…we can’t…I don’t think we can be friends.”

Nataniel Khellasati Roll Total: 4+1+5+1 (11)
Nataniel had known that for someone like him, there was nothing to be done in this situation. For all of the strangeness that had been occurring lately, he realized that he lacked the physical capacity to fight a creature beyond his scope of knowledge. He was only human, made of flesh and blood, and that tended to not be an excellent defense against the likes of explosions and large, heavy, lashing vines.
He had accepted that because there was nothing to be done to save himself, he should probably expect to simply not leave this place. The pull of hypnotic pollen and hallucination had brought him, and there was nothing to be done about it besides accept that he was simply prey in this situation.
Others were not.
'What war?' He'd asked of a strange cat-or-man he'd met on the sidewalk, after talking of a planet where cats were aliens or Mauvians or whatever it was and not understanding how anything he'd witnessed could happen. He still didn't understand, but it at least somehow didn't seem impossible to be here, as it might have only a few weeks ago. His gaze flicked from the girl who had pulled him from the monster, to others in the field, obviously wielding magic to combat the thing. Whether he understood or not, he wasn't blind and could see clearly that some were capable of doing something, and they had.
All that remained of the creature was a dirt crater in the ground, and a scattering of crystalline-like flowers from the bright implosion. Nataniel had thought that he might expect there to be few particularly unexpected surprises in life. There would be cause for everything. Anything could be explained.
He watched clusters of others mingle, gaze intent on oddly-dressed strangers while he dusted dirt and debris from his clothes. There was obviously more going on than he'd previously been fully aware of. It may be time to find out more exactly what all that entailed.
