Alice awoke with a sensation like she had run into a brick wall. The last thing she remembered was wandering through the meadows. It took her a moment to realize where she was. A sudden panic took over as the became increasingly aware of the fact she was suspended in the air. Normally didn't mind heights when she could see the ground but there was clearly no ground to see. Looking up she saw a small army of bugs crawling in the trees above her head. Alice slunk down trying to put as much distance between herself and the creatures as possible. Why did it have to be bugs. Her mind was racing as almost as fast as her heart. This only worsened when she reached her bag but was nowhere to be found. Her supplies, her phone, and .. oh my god her fathers book! She was almost in tears. Unfortunately she failed to notice her fellow travelers in the cages around her. Alice gripped tightly to the bars of the wooden cage as if she let go she would fall to her doom. She never should've come here now she's trapped and alone and probably going to starve.
Character Name: Maarika Score: 1 RP Response: Maarika woke up, slowly, holding her head. "********, what did I DO last night? I never drink to hangover anymore..." She slurred, in pain and in desperate need of water, and maybe some Latorade. She lifted her head, slowly, and looked around... Before swearing under her breath, as she processed the cage she was in, and all the other cages too. What she had been up to was coming back to her and... She looked down, checking herself for her camera and her new friends and her bag... And swore again, because EVERYTHING was gone. "Oh for the Nine's sake!" She tried to stand, but found the way the cage wobbled, with the headache caused by... whatever they got her with... nearly caused her to hurl, so she gave up instead.
Character Name: Maarika Score: 0 RP Response: After a moment of sitting in silence, recovering from the urge to dry heave, Maarika looked around, trying to get an idea of who all was here... Had everyone been captured? Were the very people they had been seeking been captured as well? She could not tell, because there were so many cages and she could not see them all. She took a slow, deep breath, shifting until she was kneeling. Maybe if she worked her way up, slowly, she would be able to stand. She wanted to see how these cages locked. Was it a metal lock, or was it something else? Her eyes focused on that.

Character:Lycos Score: 1 Response: It hadn't been so bad, for a while at least.
Lycos had found themself humming cheerfully as the litch, a doctor, and probably the best one they've seen at that, talked to them and their twin. Seemingly concerned about their, uh, ingestion. But there had been nothing to worry about! Lycos and Latros were perfectly fine, and so were those funny little bunnies hopping around. Gosh, but they seemed to have a lot of eyes...Maybe they were a new breed? Undiscovered?! They hadn't found the doctor they were looking for, but maybe this would be a discovery worthwhile. Maybe worth half a degree? Maybe? At least?
Character Name: Maarika Score: 0 RP Response: Maarika finally managed to reach her feet, and stood, clinging to the wooden bars of the cage, eyes closed, because even though she had managed to make it upright under her own power, the world was, once again, spinning. She had to take several slow, deep breaths, because she really did not want to cause herself more problems then she was already having. It took several minutes of standing there before she felt she was able to open her eyes again. She hissed softly, wishing she had had stronger protective jewelry on when she had left, and began to examine the door of the cage, trying to work out how it locked.

Character:Lycos Score: 0 Response: The bliss over the many-eyed rabbits was short-lived. The fields turned into a tangle of thorns, every blade of grass grew and their companions themselves grew their own thorns. Out of their eyes, out of their mouths. Their voices were so loud they were booming, the sky bled and they could see the sounds of everything around them.
Their own hands peeled. The fur slid off as they watched, and muscle tore away from bone. the bones themselves crawled as something underneath even them moved.
Along with Latros, they booked it into the forest. It was safe, it was secure, there were no thorns, no nightmares, no blood.
Character:Lycos Score: 0 Response: Upon stirring, Lycos already felt far too constricted. the cold, hard bottom of the cage gave no grip, and when they tried to sit up, they felt far too dizzy for their own good. Their eyes still swam with disturbing imagery, but they were...
...They were alone.
"Latros...?" Their voice was quiet.
"L...Latros...?!" It was raised.
"Latros!?!!" The panic set in the moment they heard, but could not see, their twin. Calling out Latros' name slowly delved into simply screaming almost unintelligibly, and it only was cut short by a squeak of terror as a particularly horrifying creature passed by their line of sight.
Character:Clare Score: 0 Response: Clare sat silently in her cage, huddled in a small ball. Her tail occasionally tried to nuzzle her neck, but Clare showed no response."Murderer..."She finally muttered, her head still buried in her knees. She heard conversation around her and desperate cries. It was her fault. She was so ashamed, she didn't dare show her face, simply hugging her legs closer to her chest.
After what seemed like an eternity, Clare finally lifter her head to stare ahead of her, quickly wiping away the teras from her face. She was suppose to be their leader, but she was more than useless. Her head was aching and her body felt weak - she couldn't even muster up a measly spell. Staring dead ahead, Clare avoided making eye contact with any of her fellow captors, but her eyes laid squarely on a... bug? She stared at it in fascination, watching it's leaf body shake lightly as it slowly walked along its branch. What the...

Character name:Devon Points: 0 (Out of rolls for the day) RP response: "My name is Doctor Devon Holloway." Devon closed their eyes and dropped their head to their chest. Everything still felt very fuzzy and they felt slightly nauseous. They didn't remember the last time they had felt so awful. Whatever was in their system was a doozy and they had no way of telling what exactly it was. Even if they had their medical supplies, it wasn't as if they could run blood tests.
"I do not think they are aliens. They have six legs, that seems very insect-like to me." They shrugged again, before realizing that they hadn't ask for the other's name, nor had they asked how they were doing. They were not good at this, were they? They should not be here. Useless. "I am sorry, what is your name? How are you feeling?"
Their ears perked up at the familiar voice, though it was hard to tell where it was coming from. "Lycos?" It was a bit of a relief to hear their voice, but only a bit since they couldn't reach or even see them.
"Lycos! Are you hurt?" They grabbed the bars of their cage and tried to stand, instantly regretting this decision as their legs buckled beneath them. They groaned a bit as their pulse started pounding in their head as well, grumbling slightly. "Ugh. I don't think I'm rescuing anyone in this condition..."
Their ears perked up as their twin became more frantic, they shook the bars of their cage as they tried to break themselves loose. "Lycos! It's okay! We're gonna get out of this!" They tried to calm their sibling, whose shouts had melted into general screams, not sure if Lycos could even hear them now.
Character:Cian Points: 1 [1 /3 rolls] Rp Response: He'd been reading the piece of paper he'd found within the woods, the large bird still perched on the skull at his shoulder, when the avian began to unfurl its wings and screech.
The warning came too late--Cian barely turned when sharp pain bloomed in his neck. He stumbled, trying to shake it off, but whatever he'd been hit with worked all the quicker to dull his senses. It was a sharp strike to the back of his head that sent him heavy to the ground.
Waking up in a cage was the first of such an experience, to be sure. That there was the large bird haphazardly in his lap, squaking and lashing its wings around in the close quarters as it came about, only added to his ire. "Enough," he snarled, catching the great bird's wings close to its body, using his immense claws to further restrain the creature as it thrashed in his grip. Its beak peirced the skin on his fingers and he grit his teeth as blood oozed from where the creature tore up flesh. "Enough," he said again, drawing himself slowly onto his knees. The cage was... small, but he could somewhat stand if he. Crouched. Bent over. Okay so he couldn't stand but still. He could manover. He set the paniced bird onto the ground of the cage, letting it fumble around till it got its feet beneath it and no longer needed to thrash its wings to mantain some balance.
"I like this no more than you," he told the distressed avian as it pecked at the wooden bars of their confinement. It was then he looked down at himself and realized... he had no armor. "What the..." A broad chest was bare and exposed, streaks of scar tissue mixing over pale skin and places where dark fur errupted. The dark tendrils that ghosted from his forearms and shins flared suddenly in his anger. No weapons, no supplies, no armor... He at least had his breeches.
Not far from him, he could see other cages swinging, suspended. In one near him, a small figure (Lycos) screamed and Cian flinched at the piercing sound. They'd been calling for another, that much he'd gathered. Hadn't he seen them in the caravan? Bouncing around while he'd tried to meditate atop one of the carrages? "Hey, fox spider," he called, keeping his voice even and lower, attempting to draw the panicked kid's attention to him. "Take deep, slow breaths, alright? Try to focus on me, and your breathing."

Character Name: Troy Score: 5 (gpt one bug) RP Response: As time passed, he could hear more and more voices...commotion....desperate and panicked cries; Troy opened his eyes and looked around, some of the blur having cleared and he could see more cages. Was....everyone here? "It's going to be ok. We're still alive...." He called out with a confidence starting to come out in his voice, hoping those around him would hear. Troy's eyes scanned around until he saw a familiar figure. "Miss Honeymint? Are you alright?" He had to get his head straight; his status was not the priority. There were people around him who were more important.

Character:Guadalupe Score: 1 (No more rolls) Response: "A doc you say?" Lupe twirled the stick that he was holding in his hand. "Nice to meet you, Devon. I can call you that right? Or would you rather be called Doc. Doctor Holloway?" Nah, he didn't like the sound of the latter. It was too..formal. Blech.
He stared at the little buggy that was in front of him. Not an alien? "What a shame." Mao was going to be disappointed. And disgusted. If Mao was even around here. Dieties, he hoped he was safe. Safe and far away from here. Not...dead. He gulped, closing his eyes and hitting his head against the bars.
Ow. That only made his headache worse! Stupid..situation. "The name's 'Lupe!" He smirked. "I'm alive, got a bit of a headache but it's nothin' a few aspirin's can't take care of." He just had to get his hand on it. "Ya don't happen to know how to get out do ya? Do ya have some on ya?"
He heard a commotion across from him, and his eyes immediately tried to pinpoint the source. It was...well. It was a big guy. "Hey, big ol' fella over there with....the bird." he waved his hands as wide as he could. "Think ya can break out of these cages? You look big and strong." [wc: 215]

Character:Cian Points: 2 [2 /3 rolls] Rp Response: From amongst the other cages, Cian caught a voice (Latros) calling out Lycos. Coincidence that it sounded similar to the name the panicked kid near him had called? Possibly. He watched them (Lycos) in silence for a moment, to see if they would respond to the potential sibling's call.
Beside him, the long-tailed bird continued to peck and scratch at the wooden bars, and Cian eyed them himself against his claws and the dense muscles in his arms. But then his eyes went down, past the feeble floor of the cage. Down, down, down to the interwoven branches of the canopy they sat within. He couldn't even determine how high up he was.
Well that made things more problematic.
His ears twitched, another voice ringing out. Golden eyes swerved, slowly locating the vibrant blue nixie (Guadalupe) that was waving his hands. He considered the question before giving a grunt and a scowl formed on his face. "Likely. However, I'm not capable of flight." He pointed down. "I can't see the forest floor through the branches beneath us. They don't look promising to hold much weight, and I'd rather not crash through all of them only to find myself far above the ground."
He grimaced at the thought. It was one thing to get broken bones from a fight, or unescapable events. But something like that? He could hear Briala's laughter all the way from Wolf's Breach even now, and winced.
