Ora was focused on not losing it in front of people. Her nails were digging into her hand. Her body was telling her to give into the emotion. To give into her anger at herself. She needed to know if she even had the right to be mad at herself. She closed her eyes, not wanting Lena to see the demon she was about to become. She didn't see Henryk going pale at her words.
She would open her eyes towards Henryk, showing that they were without pupils, where their had once been pupils, with brownish red irises. She would move towards the other side of the wall. She was shaking in anger still, having a hard time controlling it still. She needed a medium to get it out of her system. She would go on her hands and knees, and slam her head into the boardwalk several times, to get the anger to disperse.

They had just met, even with their introductions, so it was nice to be trusted so readily. She didn't seem like she completely wanted to do so either, so he hoped this would be fast. He only had a few questions for her on how she knew of that phrase. While one option was that she had known his family from before, as he was not the best guesser at age at times, the other option was that she may have seen them after they were captured. And if she escaped... 'They may have escape as well.' He thought to himself. At the very least, the very darkest thought, she may know of their fate. Despite having repressed their memory for so many years, he could feel it threatening to rise again. The old wound suddenly about to open. He needed closure one way or another if he wanted to keep from relapsing to how he used to be with that in mind. As he was about to lead her back he noticed her eyes were slightly different. They were missing pupils for some reason now. Confused, but still desiring privacy, he would lead her to the other side of the wall. 'Is it normal for her to be able to do that?' He wondered to himself. He had never seen anyone do such a thing before but that hardly meant it was excluded from the realm of possibility. He was proff enough of that.
Once safely behind the wall he would turn to face her and begin speaking, noticing she was shaking but needing answers. "So how do-" He bagn to say before he saw her drop to her hands and knees. Moving closer to help her, thinking her body may have given out on her, he froze as he saw her begin to slam her head into the boardwalk several times. He stood there frozen in fear for a moment, wondering what the hell was going on and what he should do. Slowly he broke from his paralysis and took a step back in fear, in case she would suddenly get violent with him. He now feared the familiarity may have been a ploy of sorts as he had no clue why she would do this now. Hesitantly, and with far less confidence from earlier, he spoke."Are...are you ok?" He said, prepared to spring away if need be. He didn't know how stable she was at this instant and wanted to live a bit longer. His questions from earlier were forgotten as he now had his own life to worry about first. He was already trying to think of the best way out of here in his mind, a distant feeling of guilt to lena since he said he may be able to help her only for this to happen, but that was the least of his concerns. ✘ Post count: 7 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC: x.x short post
Turning around at the crunch of wood a ping of guilt rushed into the Faunus. Wanting to comfort Ora she took a few step closer. Kneeling down and taking one of Ora's hand. "Sorry Henryk. Ora, please stop." Small panic could be heard in her voice. Looking between the two Lena's smile turned to a frown. "I'm... just... yeah..." Walking away she went to the end of the pier sitting on the railing as she looked out at the water. "How badly did I screw up..."
'Creep, creep creep.' Eira mental spoke as she slowly made her way off. Being as discrete as possible. The edge of the ocean was just up ahead and the smoke screen a little ways back. Checking back she could tell Hizami must of gotten a lot closer to it than she was. Because it had iced up and was producing even more mist now. Though this was the kind of light vapor that comes off of quickly melting ice or anything super cold that is left out in high heat. She had completely missed the handful of shots HIzami had fired through it while her attention had been focused in front of her and towards sneaking over to the ocean to refill her water gun before it was completely dry. Between her distraction with Arthas and her ice making the mist screen linger a little bit longer Hizami had managed to miss noticing her which was good.
Arthas though placed his bets on every color and number it seemed. While she had been looking back a burst of water came out of the mist. The only saving grace to it was that it was s wild spray with nothing really targeted beyond a general direction. There was so much fire going into the mist screen that it had sort of tore it apart. The water droplets begin absorbed up into the the rain storm worth of water shots passing through them. Eira yelped out loud and made all kinds of moves to try and avoid it all. Too much though. She might as well try to avoid a wave. The fact that she didn't seem as light footed as before didn't help as Water was catching her on the legs and the arms since he just could always get out of the way in time. The volley chased her all the way to the edge of the water before it turned back to Hizami. Eira let out a breath. She bent over and topped off the water in her water gun and then ran right back up the beach. She headed for their umbrella where Momo had been sitting watching all this unfold so far. "Come on Momo. Help a girl out. That minigun isn't fair. Join me and we shall get Arthas good!" Eira fully expected that Momo would have something up her sleeve if she got into a water gun fight. A water balloon mortar or something...

Momo Illoto Demolition of YCEI, aka...Squeeks...aka Boom Mouse...x
Momo wasn't exactly sure how the water fight got started. Though she has been staying out of it for the time being. Honestly Hizami, Eira, and the new guy Arthas all seemed to be having together. The little mouse however was a little reclusive due to the new guy. It wasn't anything he did mind you, just she was a little weary of him. Well more weary of everything in existence then just him. She used her tiny frame to hide herself a little distance away. It wasn't tell Eira came over to her trying to convince her to join. The faunus stared at her for a moment before looking over the butler with the water mini gun. It was big and heavy with all that water it could dish out...which meant she did have something in mind.
Without a word she rolled over to her pack. Inside her pack was a kit of sorts she brought nearly everywhere. Momo would start humming to herself as she started to work. Funnily enough this relaxed her to no end. She was always in a different state of mind when creating and she was damned good at it too. Seeing that she didn't have much materials at her disposal, she started to break down her fire works and launchers she brought with her. She looked around for a moment before swiping one of Eira's water guns from her hand. In what seemed like a couple of minutes and she pulled out a weapon. Its design was rather janky, but it appeared to be similar look to a M79 grenade launcher. She even used the remaining ammo from the water gun to fill up several water balloons which she strapped to her chest. "All done." She would proclaim with a smile. Loading one of the balloons in into the tube she then fired it in the general direction of Arthas having it arch high through the air towards him. Before it even landed she reloaded and fired more in a volley one after another.
Hizami realized that Eira was finally not in the same place, and had in fact recruited Momo in her stead. The female looked over at Momo crafting a grenade launcher, then loading up the water balloons from her own cooler into it. She was about to sprint towards Arthas to help him, but then suddenly, her speed slowed. She groaned, her legs aching a bit form the sudden drop in gravity, but she managed to jug her way to him. It was then that she noticed that he was soaked, and his body was just… and her face turned bright red. He was so fine, and seeing him like that made her almost lose her mind. A few thoughts went through her head, and she had to physically shake her head and shut her eyes closed for a minute to clear it. His demeanor was so different, it was refreshing, but it was also something about his persona that she couldn’t shake. It was safe to say, the maiden had formed a rather great interest in him. Nudging his arm,†I’m not going to shoot at you, so rapid fire at Momo while I take care of Eira.†She suggested, snapping twice consecutively. The area in front of the two bursting into brilliant icicles. Once at the front, once at the side. This was to scare them, and again, Hizami would not hurt her teammates even if it was the last thing she had to do. Her tails would cover her body and partly cover his, shielding them from getting wet, but in return would take damage. Hizami shot at Eira, growling out loud at both her teammates,†You’re going to betray me like this Momo?! Okay! I see how it is!†She laughed, looking up at Arthas, who still had that smile on his face. Perhaps others deemed it creepy, but to her, it was a sign that he was enjoying himself.
Arthas waved the mini gun across his field of fire overlapping his own field of fire with suppressive fire. The weapon was roaring its challenge. Cutting through the mist he could catch glimpses of Miss Winters heading in the direction of the umbrella and the small mouse female that also made up their team. He released the trigger on the minigun and the barrel spun down. A bit of smoke rose from the end of the barrel of the weapon which he waved away before scanning again. Looking out he saw the smoke had dispersed and Hizami was missing. "Where has that mischievous fox girl gone off too?" He said as he scanned the area. Suddenly a nudge to his side caused him to jump just a bit. He had been so zoned in on his combat mindset that he hadn't seen her manage to get up to him. He brought the weapon around and pointed it at her but realized after she said she wasn't going to shoot him. "So the quick spirited fox is asking to team up with the butler." He said with a chuckle as he watched her create an area of ice projected at the two other girls. "Well Miss Yachiru shall we get to work?" The butler said rather confidently as he leveled his weapon at the two other girls. Suddenly he heard the discharge of hand held ordnance weapon. The Butler caught the glimpse of something coming down, as it got closer he saw it was a water balloon. "Oh Biscuits" He barked as he dropped the mini-gun and tackled Hizami. He took her at the waist and immediately went down. The water balloon exploded just where they had been drenching the area. Reacting quickly he picked up Hizami's rifle and began to return fire, coming up to the kneeling position. Each of the squeeze of the trigger was smooth and precise as the weapon discharged shot after shot. The butler had turned on his Safe mode, having completely ignored the fact he had laid his hands on Hizami's bare skin, physically tackling her to the ground, or even that he now was kneeling over the girl and returning fire. He had his body placed in such a way that he would take any shots for Hizami's down form.
Ora would look up after she hit the deck with her head several times. It was clear that she wasn't injured by doing that, but her eyes were back to their normal blownish red. She looked up at Henryk, and Lena. "I'm fine. She would say before getting up. "I have...issues with anger..." She would rub her wet suit on her arm gently. Her voice sounded like she took down her guard for the first time since coming to Beacon.
She would look Henryk, waiting for Lena to walk away. She planned on telling Lena some of this later. She couldn't give her the full explanation of why it was dangerous.Once Lena was gone, Ora would look down. "You probably want to know how I know that phrase." She would look down, she wasn't used to being in this role. She was trained as a fighter, not a recruiter. "I'll answer any question I can about the Demon Clan."
Immediately after Eira asked Momo for an assist against the water mini gun the little faunus looked over to Arthas after taking a short time to stare up at Eira. Momo rolled onto her side which made Eira sighed softly thinking she wasn't going to join in because strangers and all. But Momo kept rolling across the sand over to where he bag was. Eira padded along after her. Her much larger body leaning over her to peer down at what she was doing from over her head and shoulders. She was taking out her 'kit' Eira had seen that thing plenty of times before. She knew full well that Momo plus Kit equaled something interesting was about to happen. She started tinkering right away. Some of her fireworks getting dissected for parts and the like. Eira could of done without the part where Momo snatched her primary weapon away from her and in a matter of seconds had it taken apart. When it was back together again Eira didn't even recognize it. She sighed again as her shoulders slumped. That wasn't her gun no more. Momo had made it hers all together. It was hard to say if Momo looked adorable or impressive holding that thing and having a bunch of water balloons strapped around her petite chest like a belt of grenades. She definitely looked ready for action though.
While Momo proclaimed her readiness to join the fight Eira went back to her own bag and rooted out another of her water guns. This one like the last one but smaller. More a sawed off shot gun than an all there pump action. It had a lever action too so as Momo started round two by lobbing a water balloon at the others Eira pulled out one of the water pistols that was still stuck securely in her bikini bottoms along her hips. She then made her way up beside Momo and watched the water balloon as it lazily arced across the sky and then dropped down on the others. She had largely ignored the ice Hizami had thrown up around them. It would never be used to target them directly. But it was in the way so he would dangle the sawed off from one of her fingers by means of keeping the finger hooked around it's level action. That freed up her palm to allow her to blast away the ice so Momo and her were free to move.
When she looked back over at the others she blushed a little. When did the captain get into that situation? She was flat on her back with Arthas laying on top of her. The color on her cheeks probably cleared much faster than it would from Hizami's face. That was for sure because it was already gone by the time Arthas had gotten up onto his knees to shoot at them with Hizami's rifle. Eira laughed out loud feeling pumped up as she held out her palm again. A flash of light tore out from her palm and dug into the sand creating a much larger blast. The sand around the beach for a good 25 feet would tremble as a large 12 foot wide wall of sand was blasted a good 8 feet into the air. The new sand geyser Eira created made a wall to shelter her and Momo from Arthas's attack. "Let them have another Momo! We'll teach them to underestimate us." She chimed out as she spun the sawed off around her finger until she was able to get a proper grip on it once more.

I stand ready to run towards danger. I stand ready to protect the innocent and defend the weak. â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â” â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”â”
electric hues turned downward to meet sandy ones, and as he sear her her delicate gaze, he found something there he had seen but a fair few times. A sp as role, a glimmer, a spark that her expression so often lacked. It was at that moment that any second-guessing he might have been shoving aside for all the battering and begging he'd put her through flitted away on the ocean breeze. It was this moment that made it all worth it. Moments like these that he worked so hard to create. She'd been through so much. More than any individual should ever have to go through. She deserved this. This little bit of happiness that she could cherish and hold onto when it felt like the dark walls off her past were closing in on her. Eli would continue to work towards building these memories, until there was enough of them to outweigh the rest. Until their light shone bright enough to cast out the dark. Yet, he would not stop there. Cali had gone through life on her own for far too long and he had no intention of letting her wander to far from his side. "You know Cali, you put up such a fuss over this. I told you you would enjoy it." He teased, a gentle smile tugging at his lips as he gazed down at her. "I really thought you would have more faith in me by this point." He pressed, just a shimmer of that mischievous grin sneaking into his smile.
They walked in together in a comfortable silence for a few moments, the smile never fading from his lips. That is, until she pulled away from him, their arms that had been so carelessly caressing against each other with every step now several inches apart. His face fell, like a child who'd had his favorite toy taken away. Frowning down at her, he watched the emotions play out over her own face. At this point he had already stopped, and his sudden halt seemed to surprise her. Concern quickly conquered her expression, worrying for her hair and other such things that were completely menial to the real problem at hand. Plan already in action, he used his gentle hold on her wrist to pull him closer to him. He kept his hold on her, trying to maintain a serious expression but it cracked as her cheeks took on a red tinge and she worked to cover herself with her free arm. "Cali." He murmured softly, trying to break through her momentary pa ic, but to no avail. "Cali." He repeated, leaning closer to her this time. "You're hair is fine and I promise I would warn you the second there was any chance of indecency." Likely if it got to that point he would face an entire body full of her pestilence if that meant protecting her dignity, but he came prepared and he didn't plan on letting it get to that point. He would keep her safe, in all meanings of the word.
As his other hand came up to grasp the fingertip of her glove, her hand trapped so delicately between his fingers, there was now way to escape. Not to say that Eli would ever force her into anything, least of all anything that would hurt her, but the size difference made the face that he could easily over power her rather obvious. It didn't take her long to catch onto his ploy, and the smirk on his lips only grew as he watched her pale brown eyes widen. He watched her reaction with an amused expression on his face, clearly enjoying every moment of it. At her plea to let her go, he shook his head, dark locks pulling into his eyes and then back into place with another whip of his neck. "I'm not letting go and I'm not giving in. I think you should know who is more stubborn by this point." Her next tactic was far less rational, as she more than anyone should know how hard it was to fluster the guy. His smirk grew as he winked playfully at her. "It seems I'm pretty good at that, considering you're wearing less than half the amount of clothing you normally would." He teased, laughing softly to himself. However, yet again it seemed victory was his, even if for no other reason than the fact she didn't want to ruin the gloves. They already had to replace them on the regular.
As she pulled her other glove off with her teeth, he followed suit, slipping the other off and taking them both from her. For just a moment he let her own delicate palm rest against his own, the dryness spreading over his skin seemingly not even phasing him. Her skin was much softer than even he would have guessed, smooth and untarnished, unlike the scared surface of the rest of her skin. Not that Eli minded, they were each a part of her, a piece of her existence and her story and he would never dream of rearranging a single strand of hair on her head. Besides, it wasn't like Eli was free of his own scars. The most prominent of those glistening under the sun on his bare back, normally hidden by his clothing but bow there for the entire world to gaze upon if they so wished it. Moving the floral print bag forward, he tucked the gloves into the bag while Cali continued to pester him about the aloe. He rolled his eyes at the comment. "Don't fret so much... its really not a big deal." In truth, he had been, and would happily again, go through much worse for her. Still, figuring he deserved some sort of victory at this point, he pulled the green bottle from the bag with a smirk. It was followed by a box full of vinyl gloves and a bottle of sunscreen. "I told you, I came prepared."
Now really, if Eli had his way, he would apply her sunscreen without the gloves and vice versa. However, he knew Cali well enough to know that was s battle he would never win. She cared way to much about his well-being to give even a little on that one. So, pulling put a pair of gloves for himself while tossing another pair to her, he dropped the rest of their supplies into the sand. He pulled his own gloves on before squeezing a palm full of the sunscreen into his palm. "Come here, or this time it's going to be you getting an uncomfortable skin condition." He teased lightly, reaching out and drawing a line of white down the bridge of her nose. Next came the question of what they were going to do first. Eli mused over the thought while brushing a strand of hair gently behind her ear before working to smear the cream evenly over her face. "Well... there's always volleyball.. but we might have to make sure they have spares first. Or if you're more comfortable we can always just wade around in the water for a while. Sandcastles... I'm up for anything. Today is all about you."

Azura Knight
Even Azura smiled faintly when Cecil walked up with his cone several scoops high. "The flick was rather uncalled for." She commented it what would likely be the closest Azura would come to directly insult the professor. Even if she found the move incredibly rude, she didn't want to be rude herself. While Adam struggled with the intense pain of brain freeze and Ridley tried to help him, Cecil seemed rather focused on his ice cream. She couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking about so intently. It must have been about more than just ice cream since he didn't even seem to notice Adam putting round two of the cold treat right on his head. "Adam, don't put your ice cream on Cecil." He wasn't an ice pack or a table. Though it was said with a bit of a smile and a shake of her head, so she couldn't have been too annoyed. Or at least it was softened by the humorous way he suggested they go back outside. Her curiosity only increased when he made a soft squeaking sound. Sure, ice cream was good, but it wasn't that good. However, she was mostly relieved they all finally agreed to go outside, and it seemed to bring Cecil back into the room. Azura hadn't touched her own ice cream yet, cold as she was she had mostly been standing with her arms wrapped around herself and clutching the cone, but Cecil offered a bit of his own she smiled. "I would love too." Despite being freezing cold she took a small nibble out of the top scoop, opposite his bite. Had he spent that whole time debating on asking her? "Though unless you want to take an ice sculpture to the ball, we should follow Adam outside."
The sun was blessedly warm as Azura stepped out from the fridged temperatures of the ice cream shop. She could hardly stifle a laugh when Adam asked Ridley who flicked her. He certainly wasn't the most observant type. "How about volleyball?"

'Was this a common occurrence?' He thought to himself, wondering if she would get angry at any moment and be the end of him. Lena would soon leave so that it was only the two horned faunus left together. One with what she admitted were anger issues and another wondering what he had done that his life was going to end so soon. He noticed, however, that her eyes had pupils again and her voice was far gentler than earlier. So perhaps he would not die in the course of the conversation that seemed to apparently still be taking place despite her earlier outburst. She mentioned how he wanted to know why she knew it, and then seemed to jump again to this demonclan business. He had no idea why she was connecting the two as in his mind there was nothing in common with it other than Ora knowing the phrase and being part of it apparently. Feeling some of his old confidence returning now that it had been a little since her outburst, Henryk would speak. "I don't see how the two are related. My father would tell me that phrase when I was younger. I don't know anything about this demonclan but I do know he said the phrase and you somehow know it as well. So how do you know him or my family?" Henryk would ask, going straight to the point of bringing her over here. He wanted to know exactly how she had found it out and if she knew what had happened to his family as a result. ✘ Post count: 8 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC: x.x super short but need to keep things rolling.

A small smile pulled on the corner's of Ridley's lips as Adam mentioned this was quickly becoming one of his best days ever. The smile quickly turned into that playful smirk of hers as the topic changed to his inability to ballroom dance. "Can't say that's an ability I've added to my repertoire either, so perhaps we can figure it out together." She commented with a nod, nudging him gently in the side. The jest he through towards Cecil caused a small laugh to leave her lips between she turned her gaze on their ice-clad companion. "Gotta step up your game, Cecil... or someone may very well whisk the lovely Azura away." She teased, golden eyes twinkling mischievously. There was a satisfied smile on her lips and it could only be assumed that she would continue to tease the poor guy until she felt like she'd been compensated for his blunt comment that had gotten her so flustered earlier. Granted, this sort of behavior wasn't really that far from normal for their captain and it was all in good fun.
As Adam's brain freeze came to an end, he was swept with relief, but it seemed he still hadn't learned his lesson, as nearly immediately he rushed back to the counter to order some more. A collection of scoops that even rivaled Cecil's prior masterpiece. With his return, came a playful jest for revenge, to which Ridley simply smirked. "Oh no! I'm absolutely petrified, shaking in my bones." She teased, an air of sarcasm consuming her voice. She placed a hand dramatically over her face, feigning a frightened expression. "You know... as amusing as it was, and I'd be lying if I claimed it wasn't, I would never wish that frosty fate on anyone... except Cecil maybe... if that's even possible." She joked, letting out a soft laugh at her own comment.
Letting out a soft snicker at Adam's continued jests towards Cecil, she lead the group outside back into the blistering sun of the brilliant afternoon. A pleasant warmth spread over her, ridding her skin of the goosebumps and defrosting her slightly damp, chilled hair. The golden eyed huntress had been about to dip into her own ice cream, dished in a cup rather than a cone, when Adam asked his question. He had been so caught up with his brain freeze he must have missed the interaction between her and Kazuki. It would be a lie to say Ridley wasn't relieved by that fact. It hadn't been her proudest moment. When he referred to the pink mark on her forward, Ridley let out a huff of air, puffing her cheeks out slightly as she her gaze traveled upwards as if she were trying to look at the mark her self. Eyebrows knitting together, a small frown pulled her lips downwards as her eyes traveled out to the beach, omwandering if she could find him in the crowd. Maybe she'd accidentally trip and spill her icecream all over him... it might be a waste of a tasty treat but it would be well worth it. Then again... probably wasn't wise to assault her new professor.
Sighing softly, she pushed the thoughts away, buzzing her lips before turning her gaze back to Adam. When she met his eyes once more, her face was lit up with a grin. "Oh... you must have missed it while dealing with your brain freeze. A giant Beowulf lunged out of no where." She joked, golden eyes gleaming mischievously. "Its okay though. I took care of it. It was no match for me." She stated, sticking a dramatic posting and holding it for just a moment before hunching forward and letting out a laugh. It seemed even as she straightened up, she had no real intention of telling him the truth that was far less exciting and much more embarrassing. If he wanted the truth, he would have to go to Adam or Azura, see if they would betray her dignity.
Needless to say, she was grateful for a change of subject. Laughing at Adam's giddiness, spoken through a mouth full of ice cream, she nodded at Azura's suggestion. "I'd be down for hitting a ball around in the air. I bet Team DARK could kick som real butt too." She stated, gazing out towards the volleyball court. From the looks of it, this wasn't just the average game of volleyball either, which only spiked Ridley's excitement more. "Shall we wreck some havoc my delightful henchman?" She asked teasingly, smirking at the lot of them before making her way down the beach. She used the walk to finally take a bite of the slightly melted sherbet in her hand. It's delicious taste and satisfyingly sweet coolness slightly made up for the flushed-faced indignity she had experienced within the icecream parlor.

Ora would sigh. No one had ever told him about the clan. She wasn't even the best person to explain this to him. She would try to think back on how it was explained to her when she was still a slave. "The Demon clan are sheep and Goat faunus, that for some reason have extra durability or strength. She would reach behind her back, struggling to to get the zipper undone. Once she did, she started to pull down the wet suit, showing a purple bikini underneath it. However, her facing him, showing him the massive amounts of scars on her body. "This was done to me when my aura shielding was down. Thinking of it, at that point in my life, I didn't use my aura to protect me. It just caused much more pain." She would rub her bare arms. "Most of our kind are born into slavery. I was bred to look like this." She didn't like thinking that she was some kind of designer faunus, but she was.
She would look down. "You wanted to know about the phrase though. That is the phrase of our people, and the war cry we cried on the battle field. The groups name was ṾσÑα¢ισυѕ. We were made of Demon faunus, and anyone whom was downtrodden by slavery. Demon faunus are sold as slaves...We were a group that wanted freedom." She would then look up. She had lost tract of what she was saying, almost staring intently on Henryk.
"The first time I heard it though, was about 10 years ago. I was 7, and a man with black hair, and horns very much like yours came to where I was being kept. He was a goat faunus, but his anger changed him physically. That is what just happened to me. I was mad at myself, and mine causes me to black out completely...The man, he saw me and said I was about the age of his children. He named me, and tried to protect me. I haven't seen him since our losing fight though...." She didn't know if she answered his question or not. She felt like she was rambling at this point.
She would pull her wetsuit up to cover herself again. She felt so ugly.
XXXWords like that use to be daggers to the poor girl. Once upon a time, she couldn't even the slightest tease. A single voice that went against anything she did, with humor or not, would cut her deep. Eli had done so much for her. They had come so far since those days she'd snivel up at the faintest hint of tease or sarcasm. That surely made the boy's life hell. Now was different though, she could actually face the teases with a smile. Mostly. Her head simply drifted into a half-hearted nod, lowering her sandy brown eyes from his. "I know.. I always do. Old habits die hard." She said in a soft tone, her voice drifting away with the ocean breeze as the waves continued their backwash to form another. Freshly dampened sand radiating in a cluster of sparkles, she hadn't even noticed the tears escape the corner of her eye; matching the same glistening sparkle. Surely she was to remember this for the rest of her days, the day she and the one she cherished experienced such beauty for the first time. "I'm trying to get better, I promise. After all..." Her head bobbed up, showing her smile had never faded. All that was different the shining streaks that briefly stained her face. "You don't give me much of a choice; oh keeper of mine~" No matter how she improved, she would always find something to cry at. Even for such a brief moment, whether in happiness or sorrow. Surely he could be impressed by her own spat of sarcasm, though it held a good bit of truth.
Surely Eli's greatest amusement in life had to have been teasing her. After all, where else was he going to get such eccentric yet adorable reactions? God, she both loved and hated it. That she was such an easy target to pick, but it always put the biggest smile on his face. To think her reactions weren't exaggerated. Nope, just raw, unbridled emotion. That damn smile though, and that wink! Cali's gasped in disbelief as her cheeks puffed up in a fluster, her face turning bright red. "Of course you are! What else am I suppose to do when I feel a crawlie in my clothes?!" Sure, he didn't fluster easy, but it didn't help her only defense mechanism against it was to try and fluster him. "I should be thankful I ward off the creeps and perverts, but it doesn't help when you built up a tolerance!" Frankly, the decay was actually an excellent means of defense whenever something of that nature did happen. If she didn't have Eli by her side to protect her as always, she truly did have a natural defense against the unsavory sorts. His endurance really was like a tolerance to her decay though. Nothing she could do would ward him away, which she was truly happy for.
In a single motion, as if planned from the start. He slide the glove off so smoothly, then she'd feel the gentle caress against her palm as it settled into his own. Despite the fluster of embarrassment and such perversion. Cali's bright brown hues softened like dust. So desperately she wanted to object, her mind racing at the countless accusations or uproarious things she could say and rip her hand away from his own. Yet, all she ever wanted to do was feel his touch. A mutual feeling they seemed to share down to their core. It was something she felt terrible for. His skin had once been so untarnished and smooth, but she took that away from him. Even now, she could feel the dryness of his palm. He knew what he was doing, so... For just this moment, she wouldn't object. Any moment that she could feel her skin against his own. Untarnished by her decay, or riddled with the scars of the past. She would take his warmth and his touch to heart, truly as her most cherished pleasure; even above her work of art. She could finally find a means to breathe again the moment their connection broke. Now only left with the haunting image of a dried hand soon to turn red from rawness. "It is a big deal though! Especially out here. What if it gets infected in the water?" She exclaimed, clearly in objection to his lack of concern for his skin. It always frustrated her, but he had been like this since the day they met. With a light sigh, her advances clearly weren't working, and under a quiet breath, she'd simply murmur. "Or more scars..." Many of the scars, if not most, were all from her. Simply from existing with her over the years, and even the ones that weren't by her touch, she still had a role in. While it didn't change how she saw him, no, he was stunning. A canvas riddled with brush strokes that were truly a wondrous tapestry that held far more than a thousand words. What does change though is knowing that you're responsible for each of those brush strokes.
"Success!" It seemed this time she wouldn't have to even argue her way through. No, a passive victory was already in session as the vinyl gloves and the various tubes of miraculous healing and protecting cream was removed from their floral bag. Then again, who's victory was it? He had come prepared, but she was the one who always stressed the vinyl gloves. It was a draw, at the very least. What she wasn't anticipating was the gloves being tossed her way. Eyes wide in a brief surprise, she'd frantically reach to grab the gloves, tossing them up and down for a moment before ultimately failing to catch them. Her head hung in shame, she'd sigh as she bent down to grab them and sitting. "You know I'm a terrible catch, why do you do this to me?" She'd continue to pout as she began to slip on her gloves. Meanwhile, he was already prepared with a glob of wondrous SPF in his palm and even poked fun about avoiding a skin condition. "Imagine if I radiated like the sun. Would you still have a skin condition, a ridiculously well-done tan?" .. One could only dream, right? If she radiated like the sun, he could just slap some sunscreen on and be set. Then again, she might be too toasty to touch. Maybe that fate would be worse than this one; hard to believe. Once she managed to get the aloe in hand, it was too late. She saw it, the finger that made her go cross-eyed as she felt the cold cream curl down the bridge of her nose. It was startling and made her eyes cringe shut as her nose curled. "Hey now! Those are unauthorized boops. I demand you take those back!" She hissed, knowing very well one of his little pleasures. The slightest tap on the nose, and it always got her. It was almost as bad as the finger in the mouth during a yawn trick. Now that was actually the worst. Now it was time for the rest of her face. Cheeks puffed out, she actually prepared this time to be slathered in the SPF as he pondered on the thought.
With his varying list, her mind would drift to imagining the countless scenarios that was these beach activities. First and foremost was the one he pointed out explicitly. Volleyball was a no go. Cali could only imagine the horrors and the anger if she even tried to participate. Countless balls going flat, then a mob of angry beach goers chasing them back to their dorms. It just wasn't a good idea .. Unless. "I'd rather not get banned from here.. But but! If you wanted to play, I would happily watch~ I think you'd do so good too.. I wonder if you could use your webs..." She teased. Now that was an interesting thought as well. Maybe gunking up the ball so it stuck to the next person that hit it or using it as a slingshot to fling it over the net. Honestly, she'd be completely up for that. Sandcastles were an... Option.. Once again though, due to the nature of... Well, her existence. It just didn't seem like the best idea. "I mean.. I would love to be your queen for our new kingdom, but I don't think I can make the best contributions to its'... Structural integrity..." The idea actually really amused her, which was quite apparent in her splash of sarcasm. So then that only left one option really; drifting aimlessly in the water, and maybe just relaxing on the beach. "I.. Would really be content doing just about anything, as long as it was with you.. Even just watching. So.. Maybe just drifting in the water is best, unless you want me to cheer you on in a game or be the castle's calamity. Because... This isn't just my day, it's our day. I don't know when we'll get another moment like it.." Truly she had a way with her sweetness and offered an even sweeter smile to him. As long as they were together, they could just sit here in the overbearing sun all day. It didn't matter to her, she was already so happy to be here. Clapping her hands for a moment, she got an idea. "Oh, Eli! Did you wash your face before we left? You got a bit of something... Right... Oh, I'll just get it." Shifting to her knees, the smaller girl would lean up to the boys face wearing a genuine look of curiosity. After she had crept up to being just within but a few inches of his face, dusty brown looking into electric hues. Her look of curiosity would shift into a sly grin as her gloved hand found itself up to his nose; a small dab of aloe on it. "Boop. I gotcha."
