"I'm so glad you're not allergic to me then." Kingston laughed happily. "Ya know, I'm not really that brave. At least I don't think I am. Maybe I'm a really good actor." His tail wagged a little when she decided to come with him and Vanna to meet this Eilwen.

"Oh? You're his little sister? That's fantastic. Vanna's pretty great. I agree you likely got the best big brother in the program." Yes, he was trying to embarrass Vanna just a little. "It's a pleasure to meet you Eilwen. I'm Kingston, and this is Coco." He didn't really know why he took it upon himself for introductions.

In the time it had taken to get Coco to stop crying, and get over to Eilwen and make introductions, it seemed things had calmed down, and people could go to their dorms. There were also some crafts that people could do. That sounded like fun. Kingston realized he was still in his stick man costume. "Hm? Oh yeah, you can absolutely go change. I might actually do the same." He looked over at Vanna. "Hey, if you're tired, you can crash in my dorm. Heck, Coco, Eilwen, you both can crash with me too if you like." Even though the ladies likely had their own rooms. But Coco has seemed so scared, and Eilwen seemed upset too, she had lost sight of her sibling? All the more reason to try and get everyone together for a sleepover! The idea excited him. Was it wrong that this evening was still... fun? "Like a slumber party!"

"And truth be told, I think making bracelets would be a lot of fun." Maybe he should make friendship bracelets for Mai and Ren and Vanna and himself. Maybe even for Coco and Eilwen too! Cause he already figured they were friends, because why not?

Kunibert was starting to like this kid more and more. Immature children were...difficult. It was difficult to tell what they were trying to say or do, it was difficult to talk to them...most of all, it was difficult for Kuni to be able to emotionally connect with them. That was why he avoided small children so much--he just...struggled to interact with them, to build up the ability to care about them as individuals.

This kid, this Bambina, was different. He liked her already--she was sad, but she had a philosophical outlook on her situation. He didn't even need to repeat the classic platitude, as she already seemed to know it! "It's a pleasure to meet you, Bambina. My name is Kunibert, but you can call me Kuni for short." He looked her over. Okay, so she was bald, but...she still looked cute in spite of it? It was like she was owning that look. "I guess you do look different, but I agree, zat is not a good reason to treat you so badly." He hesitated. Okay, now what did he say? He wasn't offering assistance anymore--that wasn't needed. So what could he do now? He had no idea what else to say! "Vhere is your brother?" he settled for. As he said it, he could hear how lame he sounded, but he really couldn't think of anything better to ask...

While kids were normally very irritating to Lilo...they couldn't help but smile at small Kumiho. This was a kid that was going places in life and he was such a little spitfire too! Could things get any better? Well...actually...they could, they could go back to their normal lives and not be in lockdown, but hey whatever.

Lilo bent over and nudged the child with their elbow. "Look at you, picking on a poor defenseless little girl. You know, I think this like those old stories about boys pulling girls hair and picking on them because they like them. In this case though you have to make an exception and make fun of their big bald head." Lilo snickered lightly, "You know I'm just kidding with you, right? Though opposites do attract and she has no hair and you're...well you have so much fur that you could probably make her like four wigs."

Yes, poking fun at people made Lilo feel better about the situation. Did Lilo feel bad about what they had said? Absolutely not. It was the truth and if it hurt someone's feelings then they needed to toughen up a bit. Making fun of people was at least better than sitting around like hippies and making bead bracelets.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. The new freshling that had approached Kuni looked almost identical to Bambina, except this one had a green eye instead of a gold one and wore black instead of pink. That didn't mean he knew the kid, though, but he felt that, in a way, he did. He had three younger siblings back home in Above, and he would have reacted more or less the same way that the new kid had if he'd been in the other's position. Even if he'd been as short as this kid was, yes, he would have gotten in his face and implied that the bigger kid was in for a lot of trouble if his sister answered the wrong way.

Kuni decided he'd like to get to know these kids better. He fished some beads out of his pocket and strung them on cord. As he did, he said to the newcomer, "My name is Kunibert. I vas just asking your sister if she is okay. Here." He handed each of them a bracelet. "Just...dunno." He really had no idea what to say. What did one say when giving someone a bracelet that you'd made for them? "So vhat's your name, Bambina's brother?"

Chunli fell silent, her mind running over what Raven had said. As soon as something intense happened - the power cutting, a caretaker vanishing, a loud noise even - everyone would scatter in panic.

"Huh? Oh." She had been thinking for so long that her mind had gotten hazed over. At least Raven didn't seem upset at the sudden silence.

Joining him at the table, she sifted through the beads, picking up the teal colored ones, "Sorry, I was lost in thought," from the corner of her eyes, she could see his happy smile, "Do you like crafting?"

Yuta gave a sigh of relief that they were finally talking to him. He was starting to feel a bit awkward with all the staring. So they didn't know what race he was? "Oh, was that all?" He had honestly gotten that a lot since he started going to the school, but he didn't mind. He had to learn what all the other races were too! "Well, I only have two tails, but both my parents have five, my grandpa and one of my brothers has seven!" Out of all of his relatives, he had the least amount of tails, but he didn't like to mention that.

"I'm a Kumiho!" He said proudly. "Ku-mi-ho~" He said again in a sing-song way. "I'm from the above and lived basically all my life in my village in the forest until my family sent me here." He nodded, feeling important. "Oh, a Bakeneko? That's silly, they have split tails! Like you! You're a Bakeneko, right? And Roshan, you're a... Geist... And something else? I'm still learning all the races.... And there are so many hybrids!" He giggled, a wide grin on his face. Yuta was surprised when the freshling reached up to touch his velvety ears. He leaned into the touch for a moment, enjoying the comforting feel, but then he snapped back to smooth his fur back into place. His face felt hot, glad his parents weren't around. "A-ah, yeah! My fur is very soft! And all Kumiho have large ears!"

The distraction of making a plushie was helpful, and Enomu quickly saw how he could use it to protect himself and so he made two. Carefully choosing the lightest and the darkest fabrics and following the directions, he created Shiroi and Kuroi.

Shiroi was the decoy that he would offer to the monsters in his place, just like in stories. Kuroi would be his protector and mask his true face so the monsters would be confused and go for the decoy. Then he would be safe. He hoped.
