Time seemed to speed up when Aptera had joined the crowd and it didn't catch her with so much surprise that she found herself having to dodge a number of collisions in seemingly quite rapid fire succession. She did not realize that she had been holding her breath until she sighed out in relief that she somehow accomplished moving out of harms way a number of times over a span of seconds. And then when she transitioned to observing what the consensus was for the next course of action, she grabbed two folded bundles from the cart that had assisted her thus far and brought them along as she followed the surge of Order taking a stairwell, perhaps the linens might again serve as distracting projectiles, nets, or another helpful aid of some makeshift sort.

Sailor Cadmus, Chibi Senshi of Cranberries
Cadmus cast Ambrosia a smile and greeted, "Hey!" but seemed late in his regard when she took to the stairs.
When Iduna mentioned that she was heading down there as well, Cadmus seemed reluctant to go. But he had company, so that was better than venturing down by himself. "Yea, I'm coming," he said to Iduna, nodding his head. Taking her hand, he added, "Let's get going then," and followed with the group down the stairs.

Sorry I couldn't greet your chibi earlier; got eaten by RL. D:
Sailor Etamin, Senshi of Hieroglyphics Etamin followed a long hallway and came a door. There seemed to be familiar voices behind it. He attempted to open it.

Chibi Oort -- At the bottom of the stairs with a whole bunch of people
As Oort had continued down the stairs it had started to get darker and darker and as a consequence Oort had ended up having to slow his run to more of a cautious walk because otherwise there was a real danger of tripping...
And whilst he knew that he was still being followed and there was a very real danger of being caught, Oort also knew that tripping and falling was probably the bigger danger out of the two - well at least he was hoping it was.
He looked sideways to where he thoughtTomlinwas for a moment as he continued to keep walking as he said as quietly as he could "Hey Tomlin, you should keep going if they catch up to us" because Tomlin was a star cat and so could probably see better in the darkness and he was also small so perhaps they wouldn't notice him so much.
Although it was kind of weird how the people following him hadn't managed to catch up to them yet, but that wasn't going to stop him to continue on for as long as he could, because perhaps they were having problems with the dark staircase too.
Focused as he was in his careful attempts to navigate the stairs, it a took a while for Oort to realise that it sounded like there were suddenly a lot more people on the stairs than before and when he chanced a glance back he thought he could spot the glimmer of a glow...
Although turning back would mean running into the people following him and so Oort continued downwards - because he figured that the stairs had to end sometime.
As it turned out he was right, the bottom coming up almost unexpectedly - and it turned out that there had been others up in front the whole time.
There was enough time to take in the glow from a fish tank in a nearby room and then the two Lieutenants reached the bottom of the stairs.
Although Oort wasn't really sure what to do since he had left his broom up the stairs and he wasn't sure whether using his magic would work a second time...
Except at that point some of the others from before had also made it down the stairs.
One of them was the brown-haired boy from earlier who had helped him at the cupboard and who was apparently calledOberonand the brown-haired girl also from earlier who was apparentlyPerditaalong with another guy who was apparently calledChara.
He looked over at Oberon at his question, shaking his head as he admitted "We met at the green crystal thingy" before turning in time to catch Perdita whacking the two Lieutenants with her broom.
There was another girl (Halley) relatively close to Perdita who appeared to have recently come down the stairs, although Oort wasn't sure he remembered seeing her earlier.

kind of assuming that Oberon is at the bottom of the stairs, but let me know if I'm wrong and I will edit
If Etamin tried to open any of the closed doors upstairs he would find they were all locked and without a key in sight there was nothing seemingly that could be done to open any of those doors. The agents that were locked up were doing their best to get the doors open, random shouts and attempts to ram the doors could be heard. However, with all of the officers shut behind various doors, there was nothing blocking anyone upstairs from following that desperate magical pleading down the stairs to the rest of the group.
The Captain managed to duck the dove that Phact threw at his head, however it did smack one of the Lieutenants in the face. Causing him to trip a little bit. When they reached the bottom of the stairs they hadn’t been expecting to be shoved into a room and well practically threatened by kids - particularly Perdita, whose fire seemed to startle one of the Lieutenants particularly badly.
Surprisingly, one of the Lieutenants actually did lock themselves in the room. Sliding the key under the door. Shortly after, they could hear what sounded like the one who locked the trio into the room being punched and faint words that sounded like “You idiot now how are we getting out!?” It seemed the answer was not by teleportation, if that happened to be the captain.
With all of the negaverse officers finally out of the way, the group was free to look around what little bit they could see of the basement, and the only thing was a pair of doors at the end of the pitch black hallway that was noticeable. A soft glow came from just under the threshold, and it seemed that the pleading they had been looking for may be sitting behind that set of doors. When the door was opened, the group found they had located a literal mountain of Starseeds. There was a soft glow from them that caused enough ambient light that there wasn’t a need for another source of light.
Quote:
For Order:Those of order who are now in the basement have found a cache of starseeds. Much like a dragon’s lair, they’re piled into a fairly large mountain. How many of those Negaverse officers actually realized these were here?
Anyone still upstairs may proceed downstairs with nothing to stop you!
Those thinking about attempting to rescue these starseeds, the apparent source of that desperate plea, roll 1d100 and see what happens! You have 24 hours from the time stamp of this post to roll.

Avalon!
Avalon looked at the starseeds. Maybe the starseeds looked back. ******** weren't conscious and ******** didn't have eyes, so she really had no way of knowing. Anyway, the point of the matter was: whoever these starseeds had once been, they were now dead. It was totes possible that whatever force sustained the Rift also sustained the starseeds for longer, but bodies just didn't last without a soul or mind or whatever somebody wanted to call it to drive. Much like a car without an operator, to be frank. Eventually it'd rust and get full of bees, where the bees here meant death.
The plea had to be coming from somewhere else.
Ignoring the starseeds (as much as she could; their presence made her skin crawl) Avalon scouted the room for another exit.
Babylon made it down the stairs just as the door was flung wide. The effect was somewhat like if they'd opened the door and found a mountain of crystalized corpses - at least in theory. Whoever these starseeds had belonged to, they were well beyond anyone's help... at least in this life. This was truly a job for Sailor Cosmos... but unfortunately, she wasn't here.
They'd have to make do.
Raising his voice, Babylon instructed those nearest to him - Cordoba and Harmonia. "If we can get any of those starseeds out of the rift, we can summon Sailor Cosmos later and return them to the Cauldron," he said, making his way towards the door.
So it seemed as if they had finally reached the source of the pleading. Myrrha felt a little out of breath and a little bit lost as to what they could do now that they had found this cache of starseeds. The senshi of scents had never come across an individual that had been close to losing or had lost their starseed. Her gaze locked on the man who was speaking and then on the woman who had looked into the room before walking away.
She still had her bag with her and she made the decision to dump what she had picked up earlier onto the ground at her feet. She could use it for transporting these things.
Wordlessly she grasped the straps of the bag in her hand before clearing her throat. Her voice was tentative and soft as she spoke up. "I have this bag if it'll help sir."
Goretti had minded his own business for nearly all of the trip so far; he heard voices, but no one was screaming in danger…he'd just fished around in the medical supplies. Ultimately, when things had gotten too silent, he'd run after the noise of the group. He didn't immediately know what they had discovered; he was not particularly tall and, being at the back of the group, it wasn't until he was very much in the room that he realized what was there.
Starseeds.
Starseeds, like the ones that Negaverse agent had grabbed. That they were hoarding here, for some…for some reason. These were all people's lives. Lives that they'd stolen.
The sheer number made his blood run cold, but Goretti ran towards the nearest stack. He had only grabbed one of the medical boxes, and while he had expected it might help them if anyone was hurt, the thought immediately left his mind. He unlatched it and dumped the contents on the floor before scooping as many starseeds in as he could—and when the box was nearly overflowing, he latched it shut again.
But there were still so many, and he looked around, frantic for anything to help him collect more.
He had to do something to make up for the woman whose life he'd seen stolen from her—and then he eyed his sash around his waist. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it was something; he tugged at it and held it out before he began shoving as many starseeds as he could there. He could tie it in a bag and hold it over his shoulder when they were leaving. Nothing good could come from a single starseed being left down here.
Adria, Senshi of Sunsets
This entire trip had been mildly traumatizing for Adria; he wasn't used to seeing senshi and knights act so deranged, and while he knew there were a thousand shades of gray between the white and black of good and evil, he had a distinct feeling that so much of this was wrong.
He barely knew what he was doing, but he knew that if they took the Negaverse's resources, they'd have a hard time getting back on their feet. And he knew that starseeds were people. Or, at least, they used to be. And while he didn't know what to do with them, he knew what the Negaverse would have done, so he started snatching them up. Others seemed to have the same idea, and it was reassuring; he shoved them in his pockets, his gloves—anything he could think that would hold them. He made a makeshift bag out of his sash and gathered as many as he could before tying it off.
He wasn't a fighter—or, at least, he didn't want to be.
But he could help like this. Maybe someone could find some way to bring them back—or, at least, find some chance to give them a happy ending. Or a fresh start.
Anything was better than being a quick snack, though.
When Sabine saw the literal pile of starseeds, she covered her mouth with both her hands. Her face went livid, and she bit her lip. Her body shook a bit, and she shook her head after. This was... This was an abomination is what it was. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she looked to Myrrha when she offered the bag to Babylon. That was good. Yes. They needed to free as many of these as they could.
Looking around for any container that might be of use, Sabine attempted to gather up - gently - as many starseeds as she could to carry out with her and any others who would take them.
Once the officers had been taken care of, Perdita looked over to the Senshi who'd spoken to her (Halley).
“I've never met agents as stupid as these ones,” she said. “Not that I've met a whole lot, but the ones I've seen have at least been competent. I don't know why the Negaverse would bother to recruit these loser, but I guess everyone makes mistakes.”
She gave an eye-roll to the locked door before turning on her heel and walking toward the door that'd just been opened. She eyed the piles of starseeds with fascination. She'd never been able to see one before. It was an amazing sight, especially so many in one room. The soft glow they were giving off made them seem beautiful and alive. This was obviously the source of the pleading.
Now it was just a matter of figuring out how to transport them all and deciding what should be done with them.
“Hey, Oberon come here,” she instructed.
Perdita started picking up as many starseeds as she could fit in her free hand.
“Fill up your pockets. We might not be able to carry all of them, but we should at least take as many as we can.
“You guys,” she added, turning to Chara, Oort, Tomlin, and the newly acquainted Halley. “Do you guys have any pockets? Well, except for the cat. Sorry, you don't look like you have anywhere to stash any of these.”
Not that she did, either. But she was hoping there were enough people there to at least make a noticeable dent in the pile.

Cortdoba, room of Starseeds
There were hundreds, maybe thousands of small crystals, small shining pricks of light.... That made the page freeze, eyes wide as her hand flew to her chest.
Souls. Thousands upon thousands of stolen souls, lives, hearts, whatever one believed, and the page felt her stomach turn, ice cropping in the cirners of her vision as she nodded to Babylon with a dull noise of acknowledgement, and the page approached slowly, stricken and horrified into a mute shock as she approached, to attempt to save as many as the page could. Whatever pockets her uniform had, she was going to try to fill to save; every space that could hold... Something.
She would not let these souls down, and knowing she was almost like this due to Cavansite....
The page grit her teeth, and breathed slowly as she began to move.

Cordoba wants to save people's souls. Insert obligatory jokes her.
Etamin tried all the doors but they were locked tight. There were no keys. He followed a pleading that seemed to come from the stairway, and yet he only heard them from his hearts. There were some that his heart knew, and a tear slid down his face. He rushed down the stairs, finding other Order members down there already. And he found Starseeds... He had to save them - even now in death, these Guardians were not allowed to rest. It was wrong. He attempted to save them...

Sailor Alsafi, room of Starseeds
JACKPOT IN THE SHINY DEPARTMENT. Alsafi, of course, had no idea why these felt like pleading, or really understood half of why she was here yet - really, she was following all the other magic folk down into this place and saw oppotunity present itself to indulge her inner fur. But this - THIS was a motherlode, and Alsafi made a loud squeal of delight before bounding for the starseeds like a dragon about to steal another dragon's treasures, happily beaming as she moved along.
"Shiny! SHNY SHINY SHINY SHINY SHINY SHINY!" Alsafi cheered. The senshi was crooning, ignoring any horror or shock to focus on the fact there was freaking loot[/i[, and beamed as she dove to collect a well deserved, in her mind, reward for whatever she was doing. At least something seemed right so far, now if only people stopped looking so serious!

”Woah,” Oberon let out a breath as he caught sight of the starseeds. The old people seemed to think they were nothing to concern themselves with, but there was something strange about them that he couldn’t quite ignore.
“My pockets?” he chirped, clearly taking it as a challenge. “I’ve got something better,” he said with a grin, setting the mop down so he could lift his hands up and pull his sash over his head, and then take off his shirt. He twisted the collar and sleeve holes closed and took his new bag over to the mountain to scoop up as much as he could.
He would fill his pockets too, of course, but the more he could get, the better.
“Can you take off your little cape thing?” he asked Perdita, before turning to eye the others. “You could probably just shove yours down your pants, Chara,” he said, pointing to how they cinched shut.
