Family outing! And Masamune-sama a bit not himself. ((This happened over IMs. XD))
Mitsutada: -watching Hasebe- Something tells me I never want to meet Hasebe-kun in a dark alleyway when he's in a bad mood. -laughs-
Kuri::.... *tries to cover Mitsu's eye* >_>
Mitsutada: -blinks- Where'd everything go?
Kuri:: *smug little s**t eating smirk*
Mitsutada: -eyes the hand and goes to n** at the fingers-
Kuri:: *frowns, but doesn't yank his hand away when Mitsu nips his fingers*
Mitsutada: -chuckles and soon turns to look at Kuri- What a nice surprise
Kuri:: What were you expecting?
Mitsutada: -blinks- I dunno. -chuckles-
Kuri:: *chuckles* Well, at least it wasn't a bad surprise.
Mitsutada: True... -looks at him and smirks- You behaving yourself today?
Kuri:: *gives just a slight nod* So far... You?
Mitsutada: -nods- Mhm. Hasebe-kun and I tried our hands at selling some produce because there was waaayy to much corn.
Kuri:: *eyebrow twitches slightly* Oh? How did that go...
Mitsutada: It went really well... I even had a little left over and sold it on my own... -digs through his pocket and pulls out a small pendant necklace that has a dragon on it- ... -offers it to him- For you...
Kuri:: *blinks* Ah? You didn't have to do that, Mitsu. *smiles slightly* I was working with Hira and her sword work today.
Mitsutada: ...I wanted to! -smiles- Come on, turn around so I can put it on you... =w= Oh? How is Hira doing with her sword training?
Kuri:: *turns and gathers the ends of his hair up out of the way for Mitsu* She's doing much better. We haven't started working with real swords yet, but she's at least learning the basics.
Mitsutada: I'll see if I can come by tomorrow and watch you two. -smiles and steps closer to Kuri, gently placed the necklace around his neck and closes the clasp-
Kuri:: *nods a bit* I think Hira would like that. She's also wanting to go shopping with you.
Mitsutada: -kisses the back of Kuri's neck quickly before the other puts his hair back down, chuckling a bit- She knows she can always come to me if she ever wishes for something, right..? I am her "Mama" after all
Kuri:: *turns back to Mitsu and reaches over to hold one of his hands* She knows, but she doesn't want to be a pest about it. *chuckle*
Mitsutada: -shakes his head- No child of mine is a pest. [[xDD ;slfksdf ; w; momma mitsu <3]]
((*chuckles*)) Kuri:: *grins* I know that. Especially with this one since we changed her name from that.
Mitsutada: -smiles- We should invite her to dinner =w= Or go shopping as a family!
Kuri:: Heh. She wants to show off her cooking sometime too. *grimaces a bit at the thought of going out, but sighs and nods* I suppose I could put up with idiots for a time if it'll make you and Hira happy.
Mitsutada: Our little tantou is growing up so fast ;w;... -hugs Kuri's arm- ...Ah.. really, Kuri-chan~?
Kuri:: *smiles and nods, hugging Mitsu back* Yeah, really.
Mitsutada: Since you're doing that for us... you can pick when we go.
Kuri:: *thinks for a moment, then shrugs* I really don't mind when we go, to be honest.
Mitsutada: Then we should see when Hira is free?
Kuri:: *nods* Yeah, she should be cooled down from the workout we went through earlier.
Mitsutada: Let's go pay her a visit then ^^?
Kuri:: *nods and motions for Mitsu to come along*
Hira:: *relaxing out under one of the sakura trees*
Mitsutada: -walks along side Kuri, holding his hand-
Kuri:: *leads Mitsu over to where Hira is at, not caring if they drew any stares* Hey, Hira, Mitsu wanted to ask you something. *glances at Mitsu*
Hira:: *smiles and looks up as her dads walked up, then tilts her head and peers up at Mitsutada* Oh? What's up?
Mitsutada: I've heard you've begun your sword training. I'm very proud of you Hira. I was wondering if you would like to come with Kuri-chan and I to the village for some shopping?
Hira:: Eh? Ah, thank you, dad. *stands up and bows quickly at the praise about her training* Oh! Yes, please!
Mitsutada: Is there any local shop you had in mind or shall we just wander and see what we find?
Hira:: *thinks for a moment, then shakes her head, skipping over to hold Mitsu's left hand since Kuri usually was on Mitsu's right side* Why don't we wander around and see what catches our eye, mom?
Kuri:: *just shakes his head and smiles a bit*
Mitsutada: -blinks at the switching between names and just smiles warmly at Hira- Works for me! Off we go!
Hira:: *grins and nods, walking in step with both Mitsu and Kuri as they head off*
Mitsutada: -smiles as he goes to the village with them- We should find you a cute kimono, Hira! I saw some beautiful ones earlier today, I think they would look gorgeous on you.
Hira:: Ooo? Shall we go look at those first then?
Mitsutada: If you'd like. =w= -looks at Kuri- Maybe they have some nice yukatas for us? Oh! We can all find matching ones ;w;... [[what is it with you and matching, mitsu xDDD]]
((lol Maybe it helps him affirm that they are a family?))
[[aww maybe ;w; ]]
Kuri:: *raises an eyebrow, then shrugs slightly* I suppose it can't hurt to look.
[[they're all just so cute alkjsdfsldfjdf ]]
((lol Yessssssss)) Hira:: *smiles wide at Mitsu and Kuri* Alright, so, matching outfits for us all then?
Mitsutada: Mhm! -leading them to the shop he saw earlier-
Hira and Kuri:: *follow along without complaint,Hira looking at things as they go*
Mitsutada: -enters the shop with his family and lets go of their hands- Go on and look around. If you find anything you like, let me know? ^^
Hira:: *nods and happily goes to browse*
Kuri:: .... *just eyes Mitsu for a moment, then sighs and slowly wanders towards the yukatas, just sort of staring at them for now*
((XD Kuri.. You need to learn how to shop.))
Mitsutada: -heads off with Hira to help her pick out a proper fitting kimono- =w=
[[yup, at least pretend like you're looking, because when mitsu goes over you dont wanna look like a tard xDDD]]
((*snicker* He's going to look like a tard no matter what. XD))
Hira:: *has found a few kimonos in black white and red with different patterns and is looking them over* Hrm.. What do you think of these mom?
Kuri:: *starts looking through the yukata, his expression making other customers give him a wide berth, which suits him just fine*
Mitsutada: Hm... -looks at the kimonos and smiles- Want to try on this one..? I think it would suit you nicely.
Hira:: *smiles and nods* Yeah, I think it looks neat.
Mitsutada: -carefully takes it off the rack- There should be a place for you to change the next room over. The lady there is very nice, if you need help putting on the kimono just ask her. -smiles-
Hira:: *smiles and nods, carefully taking the kimono and heading to the area she was directed* Once I've got it on, I'll come out so you can see it too!
Mitsutada: -chuckles and nods as he follows her to the doorway- I'll be right here waiting. -w- -nods and smiles over to the lady who greets Hira, waving to her-
Kimono Lady: Oh my.. what a lovely kimono you've picked out! -leads her over to where she can change- If you need any help my dear please don't hesitate to ask me. =w =
Hira:: *smiles and bows her head a bit to the lady* Thank you. *heads into the changing area and after making sure she was safe from sight, starts trying to put on the kimono*
((XD She'll probably end up asking for help. Armor is much more familiar to her lol))
[[hhaha aww x3]]
Mitsutada: -wonders how Kuri is doing but doesn't dare move from where he's waiting as he is a man of his word- =w=...
Kimono Lady: -gives Hira some privacy, walking over to talk to Mitsutada in the meanwhile-
Kuri:: *is honestly not sure why he's looking at things, since Mitsu had a better eye than he did and wanders around, now trying to find where Mitsu was at*
Hira:: *mutters some unladylike curses that she picked up from daddy Kuri before she huffs in irritation and pokes her head out of the changing area* Ah... Can I... get some help please...?
Mitsutada: Actually, she is my daughter. -smiles- Adopted, her father went off to some war and was unsure if he would return.
Kimono Lady: Oh... that's so sad... You are doing a wonderful job then. She seems so happy. This must be her first kimono, right? She looks so nervous. -chuckles and smiles warmly- Oh..! Coming my dear. -bows to Mitsutada- Excuse me. -heads over to Hira- My my, let me help you sweetie.
Hira:: *scoots back into the room* T-thanks. I've never really had to wear one of these before. I'm lost on how it goes.
Kimono Lady: Once you get the hang of it, it will be a breeze. -nods- They are intimidating to look at but I promise you its not that scary. Here... -helps her get the kimono on-
Hira:: *watches where things go as the lady helps her get the kimono on* Thanks. Ah, does it look alright?
Kuri:: *finally spots Mitsu and wanders over, standing nearby* Hira in there...?
Kimono Lady: Any time. -smiles and adjusts a few things so its not frumpy anywhere or too tight in other places- ...There~ -looks around and finds the mirror in the stall, soon holding it up for Hira to see-
Mitsutada: -nods- She found a really pretty kimono. =w=
Kuri:: *blinks a bit* Oh? Are we going to have to be threatening any young men if she wears this kimono..?
((XD Kuri. Overprotective much?))
Hira:: *looks at it in the mirror, then smiles* Thank you for your help. Can I go show my parents now?
Mitsutada: Ah... -chuckles- Kuri-chan... I made sure it was an approperate length =w= ;;
Kimono Lady: Of course you may. I will watch your things ^^
Hira:: *smiles and nods, stepping out of the changing room and heading to where she could see Mitsu and Kuri, stopping in front of them and turning so they could see how it looked* Well?
Kuri:: *just snorts a bit at that, then looks over as Hira comes out and shows off the kimono* Looks nice *is most definitely going to be threatening some people that get too close to her*
Mitsutada: -looks over at Hira- Oh wow.. -smiles warmly- You look so lovely, Hira! ;w; -goes over to her to get a better look- I think it suits you very well... but what do you think about it? I want you to be happy with the choices you make <3
[[THEY'RE SUCH CUTE PARENTS. OMG I CAN'T.]]
((XD Iknow, right? Masa needs to see these dorks parenting. lmao))
Hira:: *smiles* I really like it. And I watched how it was supposed to go on, so I think if I practice enough, I'll be able to do this by myself in the future.
Mitsutada: -nods- I'm sure one of the ladies at the castle can assist you if you need help until then =w= Well..! Now we have a base to go off of for the yukatas. If you find anymore you like Hira, please try them on <3
[[he dooooes omg ; ; precious]]
((XD Kuri is going to be one of those dads that tells potential boyfriends "Anything you do to her, I am going to do to you." etc etc, overprotective daddy dragon threats lol))
Hira:: *smiles and nods, then heads back to the changing room to get changed back into her armor*
Kuri:: *stays where he is until Hira is back out of the changing room*
[[Mitsutada would be the 'cool' mom until someone crosses a line then is that 'crazy lady' you never want to ******** with xDDD]]
((lmfao Yesssssssss))
[[xDDD god they're like the best parents]]
Mitsutada: -waits along with Kuri, smiling as Hira returns- Alright, Kuri-chan and I will be right over there. Hollar if you need us. =w= -fixes Hira's hair a bit then walks over to go look at the yukatas-
((lol Yessssssssss 8D))
Hira:: *smiles and nods* I will. *has the kimono waiting up at the counter for when they are all done browsing, then goes to look at other kimonos*
((She chose the black/white/red combo because of Kuri and Mitsu's normal outfits lol))
[[sfskjdfs ;w;... <33 super cute reason]]
Kuri:: *trails after Mitsu*
Mitsutada: -spots someone eyeing Hira and walks past them, purposely stepping on their foot- Ah... my apologies. -bows apologetically, gets away with it since they were on his right side and the person saw the eyepatch- -w-... -leads Kuri down to where the yukatas are- Did you see any that you liked?
[[xDD or mitsutada can do that too]]
[[though kuri would be muuchh more violent imo xDD]]
Kuri:: *walks behind that same guy and growls low in his ear* Get your eyes off my daughter or I'll rip your eyes out. *continues on as if he didn't do a thing, but turns his head so he can keep an eye out* You have more of an eye for this sort of thing than I do. *chuckles just a bit and motions to his usual outfit*
Mitsutada: -pays no mind to Kuri's threats to the other man and starts to look for red/black/white yukatas- Hm... You dress well enough though, Kuri-chan. =w= Oh... hmm.. no no not that one. It would look too busy on you considering the engravement... -doesn't refer to kuri's tattoo as a tattoo xD-
Kuri:: *continues trailing after Mitsu as the other looks over the yukata*
Hira:: *finds a few more that she likes and are about the same size as the other, so takes them up to put with the first one and waits there for Mitsu and Kuri*
Mitsutada: -finds one that would suit Kuri perfectly, taking it and holds it up to the other's body- ...Hmm.. it would fit you perfectly = w = <3
Kuri:: *blinks and glances at it as Mitsu holds it up to him, having been keeping an eye on Hira* Then we'll go ahead and get it. *does not want to go try things on unless they are back in their room*
Mitsutada: You're not going to try it on..? -blinks-
Kuri:: *blinks* You think it'll fit me, so... why not wait until we get it home? You've never been wrong before about something fitting me. *if Mitsu presses the matter, however, Kuri would go try it on*
Mitsutada: -looks at him and shakes his head- I won't force you. =w= If you want you can wait with Hira while I look for one for myself?
Kuri:: *nods a bit* Alright, we'll be waiting, but if you need us for anything, call. *carefully takes the yukata Mitsu picked out and gives the other a smile and a nod, then heads over to where Hira was, scowling at anyone he thought might be making googoo eyes at Hira*
Mitsutada: -nods- Alright =w= -takes a few minutes picking out a yukata for himself, going off the colors the others had, opting for a bit more black for his own though xDD-
Kuri:: *eyes the other kimonos Hira picked out, then glances over to check on Mitsu*
Hira:: *seems to be oblivious to the scowling Kuri was doing at some of the other customers, humming happily as she stands near him*
Mitsutada: -eventually strolls back over to his family and smiles warmly- Alright, everyone ready to check out ^^?
Kuri:: *nods slightly* Yeah, I think we are.
Hira:: *smiles* Ready when you are!
Mitsutada: Alright~ "Let's go". -smirks a bit and goes to check out, paying for their clothes-
Kimono Lady: ..Thank you so much for your purchase. Have a good day. Hope to see you all again soon ^^~
Kuri:: *smirks slightly at Mitsu's use of English, carefully scooping up their purchases and nodding slightly to the kimono lady before following Mitsu and Hira out*
Mitsutada: -bows respectuflly to the lady before exiting- Where to next, Hira~? ^^
Hira:: *bows to the lady as well before heading out* Hrm... Can we see if we can find another koi or two for Masamune-sama's pond? Do you think he'd like that?
Mitsutada: Oh... Hm... -thinks for a moment- Oh! I know where there's a koi stand. = v=...
Hira:: *smiles* You sure Masamune-sama won't mind? I don't want to make him upset if he doesn't want more fish. I just thought it'd be a nice gift for him.
Mitsutada: I don't see why he would be mad. -smiles- Its a very sweet gesture
Hira:: Then yeah, can we go look at them then and see if there are any he'd like?
Kuri:: *nods* I think it'd be neat too.
Mitsutada: -nods in agreement- Of course. It's down this way. =w=
Hira and Kuri:: *follow after Mitsu*
Mitsutada: -gets to the koi stand with the others, looking at the various large wooden barrells with the koi swimming about-
Kuri:: *stands next to Mitsu and looks through the various koi as well*
Hira:: *looks over the koi as well before pointing at a bright orange-gold one* I'd like that one please!
Mitsutada: -smiles and watches them pick out the fish-
Kuri and Hira:: *bring their fish over after paying for them to show them to Mitsu*
Mitsutada: -looks at the fish- Masamune-sama is going to love them!
Kuri:: *grins* Were you going to pick one out too, or I can tell Masamune-sama that this one is from both of us.
Mitsutada: I don't wish to take away from your gift, Kuri-chan. -nods- Would you like for me to pick one?
Kuri:: *frowns* I don't consider it taking away from my gift, Mitsu. If I didn't want to share, you know I wouldn't have offered. *smiles*
Mitsutada: -looks at Hira- What do you think? Is two enough or should I pick a third?
Hira:: *smiles* I think I'll leave it up to you and dad to argue about between the two of you. *grins impishly*
((XD Not helping, Hira lol))
Mitsutada: -sighs- -w-;; -looks at Kuri-
[[hmmm I know what one mitsu would get too xDD]]
((lol Another Kuri-koi? XD))
[[lmfao yes and no xDD]
Kuri:: Hehehe. Smart girl, our Hira is.
((lol))
Mitsutada: -shakes his head and looks at the koi again- I think we will just go with these two. -glances at Kuri- And my name is not to be included. Understood?
Kuri:: *blinks* Alright, alright. *holds his hands up in a surrender gesture*
Mitsutada: -chuckles- Then it's settled =w=
Kuri:: *sighs* Well, where do you two want to go now? How soon do we need to get this to Masamune-sama so he can have them put in the pond?
Mitsutada: I would think we would need to return soon. This way we don't stress the koi out.
Kuri:: *nods* Alright, then let's head back.
((XD If Mitsu's upset he didn't get to see Kuri in the yukata, Kuri will probably put it on when they get back home. lol))
Hira:: *nods* Alright
[[haha how did you guessss~~? xDDDD]]
Mitsutada: -smiles at them both and holds out his hand for Hira- Shall we?
((lmao))
Hira:: *smiles and nods, taking Mitsu's hand*
Kuri:: *follows after*
((XD It was just a guess lol))
Mitsutada: -returns back to the castle with the family- -w-
Masamune: -outside training, using one of the dormant swords since three of his swords are currently elsewhere xDD-
Hira and Kuri:: Hira - *still holding Mitsu's hand and smiling, glancing down at the koi she'd picked out*; Kuri:: Oi.. I want to drop these off at our rooms first *glances at the kimonos and yukatas he was carrying* I'll catch up with you both inside if you want? Unless you two want to go with me. I just don't want to drop these.
Mitsutada: -stops and looks back at Kuri, nodding- We will wait here for you.
Kuri:: *nods, then hurries to Hira's room first, carefully setting her kimonos up to where they wouldn't get dirty, then heads back to his and Mitsu's room, hanging the yukatas off the privacy screen* ... *heads back to where Hira and Mitsu are* I'm back
Mitsutada: -looking at Hira's fish- I think it's going to be really happy under Masamune-sama's care =w= Are you gonna name it? Masamune-sama doesn't name the fish.
Hira:: Oh? Why doesn't he name them? *looks down at the shiny fish* I wouldn't know what to name it. I hope it's happy with Masamune-sama though.
Mitsutada: Names bring attachment... Attachment can bring pain. -nods and looks over at Kuri- Welcome back Kuri-chan. Shall we go see Masamune-sama now?
Hira:: *thinks on that, then nods slowly* That sounds like good reasoning.
Kuri:: *nods* Yeah
Mitsutada: Sometimes naming things can bring good results though. I mean, Kuri-chan and I wouldn't be here if we were never cared enough by our owners. -smiles and leads them off, finding Masamune-sama with ease as he's drawn to his lord-
Masamune: -slices through the air a few times, his swings a lot more wild and aggressive since his right eye vanished, has nothing to keep him grounded anymore-
Hira:: *blinks and nods* And if you two weren't here, then I wouldn't be here. *smiles and follows along, stopping a bit behind Mitsu as they come up on Masamune*
Kuri:: *follows Mitsu, also drawn to Masamune* Hrm... *frowns a bit, noticing the difference in the swings* That's not good. *mumbles that so only Mitsu can hear*
Mitsutada: -shakes his head- ...Hira stay with Kuri-chan. -slowly approaches Masamune, hand on the hilt of his sword just in case Masamune is too deep in thought- ...Masamune-sama.
Masamune: -spins around, swinging his sword and stops, the tip just a mere two inches from Mitsutada's face- ...Yo.
Kuri:: *frowns and makes his way closer, Hira directly behind him* Masamune-sama..? *slowly tries to tug Mitsu back a bit further from the sword*
Mitsutada: -doesn't flinch and just stares at Masamune, making direct eye contact- Masamune-sama, we've returned.
Masamune: ... -takes a deep breath, slow to let it out, lowering the sword before sheathing it- ...I see. "How's it going guys"? -cracks a smirk, tilting his head-
Kuri:: *relaxes and steps up next to Mitsu, pulling Hira up with him and raises up the bag with the koi he'd picked* It was a good day. Hira and I picked these out for you, Masamune-sama.
Hira:: *holds up her koi at that, giving a small smile in response to Masamune's own*
Masamune: -looks at the two offering the fish- Ahn..? -blinks and leans closer to look at each koi individually, whistling after- You picked nice ones.
Kuri:: Where would you like us to put them? *smiles a bit*
Masamune: Hm..? There's a smaller pond where I usually put new koi in until I know they're not diseased. -walks off, not saying for them to follow but expects them too-
Mitsutada: -gestures for Kuri and Hira to go first-
Kuri:: *follows after Masamune, Hira following behind him*
Mitsutada: -follows the three of them- -w-
Masamune: -heads out to the garden, going past the usual koi pond the two dorks frequent, stopping in front of a much smaller pond that only has one or two koi in it- You may release them in here. When they've gone a month without showing signs of illness then they can be transfered over.
Kuri:: Alright Masamune-sama. *kneels and carefully sets his fish loose in the pond, Hira following suit after*
Mitsutada: -smiles- May the grow to be big and strong.
Masamune: -nods and crosses his arms across his chest, smirking- Yeah.
Kuri:: *nods, standing up and stands near Mitsu* Yeah. *glances at Masamune* Were the officials even more idiotic than normal today?
Masamune: "No." There was no meeting today. -looks at them- Why do you ask?
Kuri:: *shrugs slightly* You seemed... off... earlier...
Masamune: ...Tch. We all have our off days. -looks away-
Kuri:: *glances over at Mitsu* That's true....
Mitsutada: Masamune-sama, would you like to join us for tea?
Masamune: ...I guess.
Kuri:: *waits for Mitsu and Masamune to head for a tea room before he goes with them, Hira behind him*
Mitsutada: -walks after Masamune, frowning a bit, wondering what is bothering their lord-
Masamune: -silent as he walks-
Kuri:: *opens the door to the tea room when they get there, waiting for Masamune and Mitsu to be seated, then moves to get some tea*

Tempers Flare
[[Happened over IMs]]
Kuri:: *also wrong person to ask, for anything involving a peaceful solution, anyway*
Hasebe: ...I suppose such an answer is acceptable. It is very dismissive though.
Mitsutada: Yeah but what else could be said? -looks at him- Anything else really could pose a problem.
Masamune: "Who cares".
Kuri:: *agrees with Masamune-sama* >_>
Hasebe: If that is what master thinks. -simply gives a small smile and reaches over, fixing the collar on Mitsutada's suit instictively-
Mitsutada: -chuckles- Masamune-sama.. -sighs and shakes his head, smiling then blinks- Hm..? Oh, thank you Hasebe-kun!
Kuri:: *scowls a bit*
Masamune: -crosses his arms and just watches his swords-
Hasebe: It was nothing. -smiles a bit more at Mitsutada before looking at Kuri, eyes narrowing slightly, a bit of a smirk on his face-
Mitsutada: I wonder when Sada-chan will wake up ovo...
Kuri:: *gives a short near silent growl, narrowing his eyes at Hasebe, then snorts and glances away to keep from causing a scene* Hopefully soon.
Hasebe: You are very fond of this "Sada-chan", Mitsutada.
Mitsutada: Huh..? Yeah well.. -smiles- I just am. I care about Masamune-sama's swords. We are a team after all. All six of us.
Masamune: If you guys keep on awakening, I'm going to have nothing to fight with.
Kuri:: *frowns a bit* You can always use my sword, Masamune-sama, all you need to do is ask for it.
Hasebe: Whatever master wishes, it shall be done.
Mitsutada: -nods- We are your swords. What you do with us is up to you. -smiles warmly-
Masamune: Ahn..? -looks at them- Fight along side me then?
Kuri:: *nods* If that is what you wish, Masamune-sama.
Hasebe: I will cut down anything you want me to. -smirks faintly and looks at Mitsutada-
Mitsutada: -bows to Masamune a bit- We'll fight with style! -grins-
Masamune: -smirks- Hah! "Way to go guys!"
Kuri:: *inches over to stand at Mitsu's right, shooting a glare at Hasebe in the meanwhile*
Hasebe: -has a bit of a amused look on his face, noting Kuri's fascination with Mitsutada's right side- Hiding?
Mitsutada: -completely oblivious to the growing tension and focuses on Masamune- Masamune-sama, when is the next festival?
Masamune: Hm..? -looks up as he tries to recall- Ah... Next month I believe.
Kuri:: *gives another low growl and tightens his grip on his sword at his waist slightly since he always carries it around with him, at Hasebe's little jab*
Hasebe: It isn't polite to stand where someone is unable to see, Ookurikara. Unless if you've been given permission?
Mitsutada: I'm so excited! I've never been to a festival beyond well... as a sword. -laughs- Can I cook for it? Oh oh and I want to make sure everyone looks their best.
Masamune: We both can cook up a few dishes together for the local folks. -smirks- And I will trust your word that my swords will look their best. You represent me both on the battlefield and off. -looks over at Hasebe and Ookurikara- ... -raises a brow-
Kuri:: *snorts at Hasebe* Whether I have Mitsu's permission to stand at his right or not is none of your damn business. *managing to keep his tone civil, for now, at least*
Hasebe: As his former partner, I believe it is. His well being is of concern to me. As it were my former master's as well.
Mitsutada: -starting to realize something is going on and turns, taking a step to see what's going on his right side- ...My well being? I'm not sick! I promise!
Masamune: -very tempted to just leave the swords to their own business but remains there for now- ...
Kuri:: *frowns at Hasebe* I am not going to stand here and argue with you over this. It's idiotic. And Mitsu is not sick or an invalid. And I am his current partner, so... Again, it isn't your business. *seems to realize both Masamune and Mitsu are watching him and Hasebe and frowns again, bowing quickly to the both of them* I... think I need to excuse myself. *will wait for Masamune's approval that he can leave first, however, rather than storm off as he wants to do*
Masamune: -nods to Ookurikara and just remains silent-
Hasebe: -only smirks, knowing he struck a nerve and turns to Mitsutada- Forgive me, Mitsutada.
Mitsutada: -blinks- ...Kuri-chan..?
Kuri:: *as soon as Masamune nods, turns and stalks off to his and Mitsu's room*
Masamune: I think giving him some space is good, Mitsutada. -nods and looks around- I'm going to go see what the gang is up to. "See ya." -waves his hand and walks off-
Mitsutada: ... -frowns and looks at Hasebe- It's okay Hasebe-kun.
Hasebe: Would you like to be alone?
Mitsutada: -nods- Yeah, I think I'm going to go for a walk.
Hasebe: -smiles at him, bowing- As you wish... -heads off to go do his own thing-
Kuri:: *is swinging a wooden practice sword around in his and Mitsu's room, growling all the while*
Mitsutada: -waits a few minutes before heading off, walking around the castle, wondering if he should see if Kuri is okay or not- ...Kuri-chan...
Kuri:: *finally a bit more calm and heads back out, wandering over to the koi pond and sitting to watch the fish*
Mitsutada: -fretting over Ookurikara and goes off to find the other despite masamune saying he should leave him alone- ...
Kuri:: *sitting with his bare toes in the water again, watching the fish nibble at them*
Mitsutada: -doesn't find Kuri in some of the places he looked, soon heading to the garden and spots him by the koi pond- ... -smiles sadly and slowly approaches- ...Kuri-chan?
Kuri:: *glances up at Mitsu calling him* ...Mitsu?
Mitsutada: ..May I join you?
Kuri:: *nods a bit* Sure, if you want.
Mitsutada: -takes off his shoes and socks, sitting down besides Kuri and dips his feet into the water- ...
Kuri:: *watches Mitsu out of the corner of his eye and pulls his feet up out of the water to see how the other reacts to koi nibbling at his feet* ...I'm sorry. For earlier. With the b*****d...
Mitsutada: -watching the fish just swim around and brush up against his feet- ...I just want to know if you're okay..
Kuri:: *shrugs just a bit and watches the pond again* For now... *frowns* I can't help but think the b*****d is intentionally baiting me. *pulls his knees up to his chest and wraps his arms around them, resting his chin on his knees and sighing*
Mitsutada: -chuckles a bit, his leg jerking back slightly when one of the koi first nibble at his feet, wasn't expecting it at all- S-sorry.. I'm not laughing at you.. it just tickles a lot. -trying so hard not to crack up, has really ticklish feet-
Kuri:: *feels himself smiling a bit at that* Heh. You should walk around barefoot more or something.
Mitsutada: -was starting to crack up, laughing and pulls his feet out of the water- I give... I give... You koi are just too much. -chuckling and looks at Kuri, smiling- I'm not sure if that will help. I've always had ticklish feet. -pauses and looks out at the koi fish again- ...I don't think Hasebe-kun means ill.
Kuri:: *chuckles a bit at Mitsu and the fish* Well, at least you tried seeing what it was like having them nibble at your feet. *frowns again as talk goes back to the b*****d and looks out at the pond again* You were talking to Masamune-sama, so you probably didn't notice until I was close to drawing my sword on him. *shrugs slightly* First he accused me of hiding when I went to stand where I usually do on your right side. Then he questioned whether I had permission to stand there and spoke like you couldn't take care of yourself.
Mitsutada: ... -silent for a few moments and closes his eyes- Hasebe-kun... can speak with a double tongue. But I do not think he meant it was insults or in a degrading way. -opens his eyes- He probably was looking out for me... When I was younger, I never liked people on my right side because I couldn't see them. It's a handicap I grew to overcome.
Kuri:: *frowns* I might be inclined to believe that, if it wasn't for the smirking on top of it. *shrugs* Again, he seems to do that when your attention is focused elsewhere.
Mitsutada: ...Is that so..? -blinks and sighs- ...I'm sorry Kuri-chan. -scoots a bit closer to him and leans over to rest his head on kuri's shoulder- ...
Kuri:: *leans his head against Mitsu's on his shoulder* It.. isn't your fault. And I don't want to be a constant problem or cause you to stop being his friend... You two have more history together than I do with you, after all.
Mitsutada: I know it will take sometime.. and if you want me to give you your space after things like this... just let me know.. otherwise I will come looking for you.
Kuri:: *shakes his head* No, it's alright. I just went to our room and swung a wooden sword around to get aggression out, then came out here. That will probably happen alot if the b*****d insists on taunting me like that.
Mitsutada: -chuckles- ...Wanna spar against me? It'll get your aggression out.
Kuri:: *thinks for a moment, then shakes his head* Probably wouldn't be a good idea if I'm pissed because of the b*****d. I would end up hating myself if I hurt you because I was in a rage.
Mitsutada: -thinks for a moment then smirks- I can just do a little dance to calm you down then~ -chuckles-
Kuri:: *outright laughs at that idea* Ahaha. More like make me pass out from blood loss. *turns his head slightly to kiss the top of Mitsu's since it's on his shoulder* That.. might not be a bad idea. Mitsutada: -smiles warmly and closes his eyes- ... -still considers himself Ookurikara's and will allow the other sword to do as he pleases with him, even though Kuri didn't accept his sword offering- Next time I might just have to dance then >w>
Kuri:: *chuckles and tries to hold Mitsu's hand* And we'll see if that helps calm me down then, I guess. *still curious about what Mitsu was offering his sword to him for, mainly because his lack of knowledge had obviously bothered Mitsu, which bothered Kuri himself*
Mitsutada: -laces his fingers with Kuri's and remains besides him, content- Works for me
Kuri:: *rubs his thumb across the back of Mitsu's hand* I'll need to apologize to Masamune-sama later as well for the trouble. *grimaces a bit*
Mitsutada: I'm sure he'll understand... -brings their hands up and kisses the top of Kuri's- Don't fret about it...
Kuri:: *nods* You're right, worrying about it won't change how he reacts either way. *brings his free hand up and fiddles a bit with the dragon pendant Mitsu had given him the other day before sitting up, as if he suddenly remembered something* Oh! I... ah... have something for you. *digs around in one of his pockets, pulling out a silver necklace that had an ebony dragon that was almost in the same style as his engraving on it*
Mitsutada: -almost fell in the water by Kuri's sudden movements, flailing a bit to keep himself out of the water then blinks- Huh..?
Kuri:: Sorry. I had picked this up for you earlier and forgot about it after the incident earlier. *holds it up for Mitsu to look at*
Mitsutada: It's okay... -smiles and leans a bit closer to get a better look- ...It's really pretty Kuri-chan. -looks at the dragon and soon it clicks- Oh! It's like your engravement > w <
Kuri:: *smiles and nods* I wasn't entirely sure you'd like it, none of the others I saw really looked like anything you might wear to me.
Mitsutada: ...I love it. -smiles- Here... -undoes his tie, slipping it off and unbuttons his shirt a bit, turning so his back is to Kuri, so the other can put the necklace on him- -w-?
Kuri:: *carefully puts the necklace on, kissing Mitsu's neck after* There. *lightly ruffles the hair on the back of Mitsu's neck with his fingers on impish impulse*
Mitsutada: -blushes a bit, feeling a shiver down his spine but soon frets about his hair, moving to fix it, chuckling- Thank you, Kuri-chan... I'll wear it every day <3
Kuri:: *smirks slightly at the other shivering, then fretting over his hair* You're welcome. And you don't have to feel obligated to wear it every day. Only if you want to. *is only going to take the one Mitsu gave him off when he showers* ... *scoots to Mitsu's side and sits up on his knees, attempting to fix up Mitsu's shirt. Would try to put his tie back on too, but does not really know how to tie a tie*
Mitsutada: Hm...? -chuckles and looks at Kuri- What, I can't be a bit casual? -smirks, was going to leave his shirt unbuttoned-
Kuri:: *chuckles, blushing a bit* You could have swatted my hands away if you didn't want me fussing over you. Or you can just unbutton it again. I just felt like fussing over you a bit.
Mitsutada: ... -takes Kuri's hands and places them back on the buttons of his shirt, smirking- You can decide.
Kuri:: .... *stares at Mitsu for a moment, then nods slightly and unbuttons his shirt to how he had it before* Then I suppose I'll go with this.
Mitsutada: I'll trust your decision... -brings one of Kuri's hands to his lips and kisses it again- "I love you" Ookurikara.
Kuri:: *smiles and tilts his head closer to Mitsu's, kissing his cheek* "I love you" Shokudaikiri Mitsutada.
Mitsutada: -blushes brightly and soon looks down towards the koi- Ah.. -chuckles and motions to the kuri and mitsu koi watching them-
Kuri:: *blinks and glances in the direction Mitsu's motioning* ... We have an audience, apparently.
Mitsutada: -nods- That we do. -chuckling- What shall we do about it?
Kuri:: *shrugs* We could just go back to our room. You never did get to see how that yukata you picked out looked on me, after all.
Mitsutada: Hm..? Oh, that's right. I hope it fits you. -smiles and looks at the fish- We'll be back tomorrow to feed you guys. -chuckles- See you~ -gets up and offers his hand to Kuri- Let's go?
Kuri:: *takes Mitsu's hand and follows him*
Mitsutada: -goes back to their room and looks at Kuri- I'll give you some privacy as you get changed. -smiles-
Kuri:: *chuckles a bit and picks up the yukata, heading behind the privacy screen for once and changing, coming back out shortly after in the yukata*
Mitsutada: -sits down as he waits, looking up as Kuri steps out from behind the screen, gasping a bit- You look very stylish Kuri-chan! -can feel his cheeks redden, falling in love with Kuri all over again-

Tempers Calm
[[Happened over IMs, pt 2]]
Kuri:: *slowly turns in place so Mitsu can see all the yukata, then walks over and sits next to him* Heh. Only because of your eye for style. Your turn. I want to see how yours looks on you.
Mitsutada: -reaches over after Kuri sits down and adjusts the yukata a bit- There <3 -smiles- Huh..? Oh.. okay. -smiles- Wait here. -gets up and picks up his yukata and goes behind the privacy screen to get changed-
Kuri:: *stays sitting in place after Mitsu adjusts his yukata a bit*
Mitsutada: -fixes his hair and makes sure he's presentable before stepping out from behind the privacy screen- What do you think~?
Kuri:: *stares at Mitsu for a moment, then lets out a low whistle* Amazing.
Mitsutada: -spins around slowly for Kuri and winks at him- And all yours.
Kuri:: *blushes and smiles at that* And I'm all yours.
Mitsutada: -sits down next to him- I can't wait for the festival... Masamune-sama said its next month. I want to go with you and Hira... as a family.
Kuri:: *leans on Mitsu after the other sits next to him* I'm glad you mention it now, because I missed it earlier. I would love to go with you and Hira as a family. That's what we are, after all.
Mitsutada: -wraps an arm around him- Mhm! -chuckles- Masamune-sama is going to be in the parade. He might have us swords in it too but we get to enjoy the festival first.
Kuri:: *scoots closer after Mitsu wraps an arm around him* ... *sighs* What exactly do we need to do in the parade...? I mean, I'll do it, obviously, if it's what Masamune-sama and you really want. And I will try not to scowl or look like my usual grouchy self....Try.
Mitsutada: Some ladies are into that stuff, Kuri-chan. You'll be a big hit. But.. .I might get a bit possessive -w- -chuckling- I think Masamune-sama said we just march. And here or there there's stopping points where we show off our skills as 'samurai'
Kuri:: *wrinkles his nose up a bit* I don't want to be a big hit. Tch. *smiles a bit at Mitsu saying he might get a bit possessive, however* So are we going to be having to wear samurai armor? What will we be wearing?
Mitsutada: -tries to recall- Uhhmm... our same outfits but we will be donning the Date clan crest. Also a bit more gold I was told. -blinks- Masamune-sama must really like gold.
Kuri:: *shrugs at that* I think Masamune-sama really likes the color blue too. He going to have these special made then? *frowns at the thought of that, because that meant a tailor coming in and measuring to get everything right*
Mitsutada: I think.. -nuzzles him a bit- I'll be sure they'll get our measurements on the same day.
Kuri:: *sighs and relaxes a bit, nuzzling Mitsu back* Well, the sooner it's decided and over with, the better. Do you know how we'll be showing off our samurai skills?
Mitsutada: Probably mock fights. -nods-
Kuri:: *thinks on that for a bit* I suppose that means we'll both have to practice more. And.. I'll probably have to try to practice with the b*****d if he's going to be involved.
Mitsutada: Oi.... that would be a good idea... We don't need you two trying to kill each other in front of the villagers...
Kuri:: *frowns and nods* Because knowing Masamune-sama, he just might decide that the b*****d and I mock fight eachother. Which would most likely end up in a real fight.
Mitsutada: -frowns a bit and reluctantly nods- ..Yeah... probably. Don't forget the new recruits as well. They might be in the festival.
Kuri:: *nods* That's true. Tch, who knows, maybe it'll help me keep my cool the next time he smirks at or tries to belittle or undermine me.
Mitsutada: Maybe... -says nothing more since he can't really comment because he was obivious to the whole thing, too into finding out when the festival was-
Kuri:: *gives Mitsu a quick hug* Sorry. I'll stop bringing it up. I hope Sadamune wakes up soon, even if that will leave Masamune-sama with fewer swords.
Mitsutada: Ah... -smiles and hugs him back- Yeah I wonder too... Sada-chan might stay around Masamune-sama oftne though. I noticed Masamune-sama uses Sada-chan whenever he feels like his life is in danger to protect himself. -nods-
Kuri:: *nods a bit* Like the other night? That was Sadamune he was using when he stopped so close to your face, wasn't it? *frowns* We never did find out what exactly was bothering Masamune-sama.
Mitsutada: -nods- ...Yeah, it was. But I knew with that sword he wouldn't hurt any of us... -smiles a bit and soon sighs- ...Masamune-sama is missing a huge part of his life. Kojuro didn't die. He just... vanished. And that is what is bothering him I think. All reports come back without answers.
Kuri:: *sighs* I hope for Masamune-sama's well-being that Kojuro comes back. And if not that, then that he can find someone else to trust as much as Kojuro.
Mitsutada: Yeah... For now though, we shall do our best to protect our lord, right, Kuri-chan?
Kuri:: *nods* Right. Perhaps we should look into getting some replacement swords for Masamune-sama too, so that he'll still have six swords to protect himself with if we ever get separated on the battlefield.
Mitsutada: -nods- Yeah. I think he might be hesitant to use us... due to what happened when he fought Sanda Yukimura.
Kuri:: *nods* It might be good to get some other swords for each of us as well because of that. If we break on the battlefield, I don't imagine he would take it very well.
Mitsutada: ...We've already broken once, Kuri-chan. I don't want to go through that again.
Kuri:: *nods* That's why I'm suggesting we get some other swords for ourselves as well. We can make it a group event, even, and see if the bas... Hasebe... would want to help with anything.
Mitsutada: -nods- I like the idea of that. -smiles and soon pouts- ...There's not that many black blades though Q_Q.... -adores his uniqueness-
Kuri:: *thinks for a moment, then chuckles* What about that swordsmith Masamune-sama said fixed us in Kai? Do you think he might know how to make one? We'd have to find two of them in any case, since I think it'd be good if Masamune-sama's replacements were at least close to our own, even if not exact.
Mitsutada: ...We could see. I suggest writing a letter first.. It might bold ill for us to just go marching into Kai without permission from both Masamune-sama and Sanda Yukimura.
Kuri:: *nods* Makes sense. We'd have to get permission from Masamune-sama anyway to leave for a long trip like that, I would think.
Mitsutada: Yeah. -smiles and pulls Kuri in closer, cuddling him- Maybe we can pick up a nice blade for Hira when she completes her training <3
Kuri:: *nods* Yeah, that'd be another thing we need to do. Because she is going to need the best, just like Masamune-sama and ourselves.
Mitsutada: What type of sword do you think she seems more suited for..? You've trained with her so far, I haven't had a chance yet. Does she do better with distance or close quarters?
Kuri:: *thinks for a moment* She seems to do better with distance, but she should have a smaller blade too, in case anyone gets inside her reach.
Mitsutada: Regardless... she needs a smaller blade to protect herself in case if she ever goes out late at night = x =..
Kuri:: *nods* That too.
Mitsutada: -chuckles and closes his eyes- We'll get things set into motion tomorrow... I'm tired...
Kuri:: *smiles and nods* Alright. So, should I set up the futons then so you can nap?
Mitsutada: Hmm... -opens his eyes, tilting his head as he looks at Kuri- Will you lay with me?
Kuri:: *nods* Of course. Talking with Masamune-sama about things can wait until you wake up from your nap or tomorrow. *smiles*
Mitsutada: Mm.. alright. -smiles warmly- I'm going to change my clothes, I don't want to ruin this one before we get to go out with Hira.
Kuri:: *smiles and nods, then goes to the section where the futons were stored, debating on if he wants to drag them both out or just one* ... *ends up dragging just one of them out, with both sets of pillows and blankets and sets it up, then changes into his usual sleepwear while waiting for Mitsu to get back*
Mitsutada: -gets up and goes off to get into something lighter and more comfortable for sleeping in, hesitates for a moment and decides to remove his eyepatch, placing it ontop of his usual jacket neatly before returning to Kuri, fiddling with the bangs over his blind eye-
Kuri:: *looks up from where he's sitting and smiles* Hope you don't mind. *motions to the one futon* You did ask me to lay here with you, so I figured this would do just as well too.
Mitsutada: Why would I mind? -chuckles and soon goes over to the futon sitting down-
Kuri:: *shrugs slightly* I don't know. I guess I was just worrying over nothing. *smiles, then blinks at seeing Mitsu without his eyepatch, but says nothing of it, thinking Mitsu was showing how much he trusted him by not wearing it* ... *scoots closer to Mitsu and brushes a finger at his bangs, not moving them out of the way* You know you don't have to hide that from me, right?
Mitsutada: Ah... -reaches up and catches his hand, holding it, soon lacing their fingers together- ...I know, Kuri-chan... That's why I took off the patch. ...I... believe you deserve to see all of me. Even my imperfections. -smiles warmly-
Kuri:: *snorts* In my opinion, you have no imperfections.
Mitsutada: -blushes brightly at that- ... -reaches out and pulls Kuri-chan into a bear hug- .."Thank you"...
Kuri:: *smiles and hugs Mitsu back* "You're welcome"

All aboard the Feels getting squished train!
((This happened over IMs. XD))
Masamune: -staring at the food Mitsutada is cooking- ... -stomach is growwllinnng, hasn't eaten all day, doesn't take care of himself, more like doesn't function without kojuro nagging him all the time-
Kuri:: *stumbles sleepily into the kitchen and yawns, plopping down tiredly at a seat*
Mitsutada: -sighs- Masamune-sama, you need to eat to keep up your strength. -has been mother henning Masamune all day-
Masamune: Tch... It's no fun to just cook by myself. -looks away-
Mitsutada: -was going to say something but knows who he's referring to and just gives a sad smile- Oi, hello Kuri-chan~ So kind of you to finally join us.
Kuri:: *mumbles something unintelligible and raises his head up slightly from where he'd rested it on his arms on the counter* 'mornin *yawn* Masamune-sama n Mitsu.
Masamune: Morning. -glances over at him and smirks a bit- Slept in late, huh? Up all night?
Mitsutada: -hums to himself as he proceeds with cooking food, had already made enough for three since he had a feeling Kuri would be up soon-
Kuri:: *yawns again and gives a small nod* Had some thinking I had to do. Couldn't sleep. *seems a bit more awake as he smells the food*
Masamune: Heh... If you need an ear, I'm willing to listen.
Kuri:: *seems to debate with himself internally for a moment, then nods* First, I wanted to apologize for the other day, Masamune-sama. My allowing Hasebe to get under my skin caused a scene. *glances away*
Masamune: ...Understandable. We all have someone we can't get along with. Some more than others. But you're both a part of the Date clan and more importantly, my swords. I expect you to at least pretend to get along on the battlefield. I could care less what you do when I'm not looking.
Mitsutada: -adds a few spices- =v=.. -totally not paying attention to the conversation, too into his cooking-
Kuri:: *frowns slightly and nods* Understood, Masamune-sama. That brings up another topic that Mitsu and I talked about last night. The festival. If we are to be sparring with eachother at certain points throughout, I thought it best I at least attempt to practice with Hasebe before hand in case we are to spar against eachother during the festival so that we don't try to kill eachother. I don't like the thought, but Mitsu and I feel it should be done to prevent injuries both now and out on the battlefield.
Masamune: Hm..? I suppose you're right. Avoiding him forever won't work. -smirks- If you're both free after we eat, I'll oversee a match. I'm sure Mitsutada would watch as well.
Mitsutada: Huh..? -stops placing the food in bowls for serving- ...What's going on?
Kuri:: *nods slightly, then glances at Mitsu* One of the things we talked about last night. Involving my dislike of Hasebe. *glances back at Masamune* And one more thing we talked about was possibly seeing if Sanada Yukimura would allow us to perhaps borrow his swordsmith for a time to see if he could make replacement swords for us to use in combat situations to try to prevent the possibility of one of us breaking on the battlefield..
Masamune: -whistles- Both of you have been very busy. I'll send a letter Sanda Yukimura's way. I'm sure the cub wouldn't mind but then again, can't be too sure. -smirking-
Mitsutada: Oh... Okay. -smiles a bit and finishes serving the food, placing it on the table- Come eat you two.
Kuri:: *stands up and bows to Masamune* Thank you, Masamune-sama. *waits for Masamune and Mitsu to be seated before he sits down*
Masamune: -grins a bit more at Kuri before sitting down at the table- "Okay", let's eat!
Mitsutada: -smiles and sits down after Masamune-
Kuri:: *sits down next to Mitsu* *finishes eating and starts gathering up any empty dishes to take to the basin to wash*
Mitsutada: -helps Kuri clear the table-
Masamune: .... -watching them for a moment in silence then sighs- Do you guys think Kojuro is ever coming back?
Kuri:: *falters a bit at the question and glances back at Masamune* I am unsure, Masamune-sama. I am hopeful he will, though.
Mitsutada: ... -looks away as he frowns a bit- ...Kuri-chan is right. -looks back at Masamune with a smile- We must believe in him...
Masamune: -sighs and leans back a bit- I want to believe... He's always been there. Watching my back. Guiding me through the darkness. But... without him here... -sighs- ...I don't even know what happened to him. I... -slams his fist down on the table, growling a bit- ...That's what bothers me the most. No one can find any trace of him.
Kuri:: *frowns* You can't give up on him, Masamune-sama. *thinking that Kojuro might be a captive somewhere, since it's been so long without any sign of the other, but doesn't say this outloud, not wanting to upset Masamune more*
Mitsutada: ...With your permission, Masamune-sama... send us, your swords, to go find him... We will find out where he is.
Masamune: ...I can't do that. You're needed here.
Kuri:: *frowns* Then send just one of us, Masamune-sama. One of us might be able to better find information without drawing too much attention rather than all of us out at once.
Mitsutada: -nods-
Masamune: Tch... -looks away, teeth clenched- ...Which one of you has better interogation skills?
Kuri:: *blinks, then frowns* That might be Hasebe. But...I'll volunteer if you do not wish to send him or he does not wish to go.
Mitsutada: Hasebe-kun is the best at getting answers by any means neccessary. He also is more likely to kill someone if they do not give into his demands. Kuri-chan is capable of searching for a long time without showing signs of fatigue. His presence is intimidating and often causes people to slip. However, Kuri-chan also cannot contain his temper after awhile.
Masamune: ...Hah. -gives a half-hearted smirk at the fact his swords all are tempermental bastards like himself- ...And what about you, Mitsutada?
Kuri:: *frowns a bit* I think, for this, since it is extremely important to Masamune-sama, I would find ways to contain my temper. *turns to the basin and starts washing off dishes, letting Mitsu answer Masamune's question*
Mitsutada: ...I am perhaps the more personable of your swords. Yet that does not always yield answers. -pauses- Besides, I would request to stay by your side, Masamune-sama. To ensure you eat and remain healthy in Kojuro's absence.
Masamune: -grumbles and sighs- ...I'll think about it.
Kuri:: *nods slightly, rinsing the dishes off and setting them up to dry* I would prefer Mitsu not be sent as well, because you do need someone to make sure you stay healthy, Masamune-sama. Mitsu is the best one of us suited to that task.
[[you know if kuri goes Mitsutada is going to switch their swords before Kuri leaves insisting Kuri takes him with him ;; ]]
Mitsutada: -nods and takes the finished dishes, drying them off with a towel- It ultimately is your deicions, Masamune-sama. We can only provide our opinions, but your orders are absolute.
((D'aw))
Masamune: -remains silent and looks down at table- ....Ookurikara. The task is yours. Find out what you can about Kojuro's disappearance and if able, bring him back home. Mitsutada, you and Hasebe will remain here.
Mitsutada: ... -nods and bows to Masamune- As you wish, Masamune-sama. Hasebe-kun and I will protect you with our lives and blades.
[[/honestly just wants the cute xDDD ;; mitsutada will still be a fretting mess xDD]]
((lmao))
Kuri:: *bows to Masamune as well* I shall do my best, Masamune-sama.
((And.. also need to decide what happened to Kojuro, why he was missing for so long, and how Kuri brings him back. XD Should he carry him over his shoulders or what? lol Gdi brain. XD))
[[hmm owo...]] [[perhaps Kojuro went off to go try and settle things with the provience they've been having trouble with?]] [[and got captured but they haven't yet used it as leverage to get Masamune to agree to the trade agreement because they think Masamune is close to agreeing?]]
((Yessssssss. Kuri will enjoy destroying them if that's the case.. XD))
[[haha okay x3 <33 then that is what it shall be o vo b ]]
Mitsutada: -looks over at Kuri and chuckles- You must dress properly if you are going to be out of Oshu for awhile.
Masamune: -gets up- I'm going to go inform Hasebe of what is going on.
Kuri:: *sighs, then nods, watching Masamune leave, then glances at Mitsu* Would you help me pick something that would be more appropriate then...?
((XD Kuri depends on your sense of fashion even if he puts up a fight about it at times, Mitsu lol))
[[mhm xDDD <33 ;w; so cute]]
Mitsutada: -waits for Masamune to leave then turns to Kuri- Hm..? -chuckles- Of course.
[[MAYBE THIS TIME KURI WILL ACTUALLY TAKE THE DAMN SWORD D<]]
((XD PROBABLY))
[[and not just stare at mitsu like why are you handing your sword to me ]]
((lol))
Kuri:: Thanks... *glances around a bit* Should we go help me get packed up then..? The sooner I go, the sooner I can be back with news, hopefully.
Mitsutada: ... -nods and places the towel down- ..Yeah, let's go get you ready. -smiles-
Masamune: -finds Hasebe outside and calls him over-
Hasebe: Hm..? -walks over to Masamune- Yes, Masamune-sama? What is it you desire? Temple burning? Retainer killing..?
Kuri:: *nods, smiles a bit at Mitsu, then falls in step beside him as they head to their room*
((XD lol Hasebe))
Masamune: None of that. Your orders are to remain here with Mitsutada and protect myself and Oshu. Ookurikara is going to see what he can find out about Kojuro's disappearence.
Hasebe: Is that so..? -smiles and bows- As you wish, Masamune-sama. Nothing will invade the gates.
((Kuri might even let Hasebe help kill the bastards that keep trying to make Masamune take the bad deal if they are still about in Oshu. *shotflee*))
[[xDD hehee >w > Hasebe would looovee that.]]
((Is it sad I also think that Kuri might be handy with a needle and thread? Think how often he might have to repair that skirt he loves. XD))
[[yesss >w> he can sew up all of Mitsu's clothes when they get ripped in exchange for all the times Mitsu dresses him xDDDD]] [[and washes them. I can see Mitsu being the laundry man xDDDD]]
((XD Yes. And maybe make Mitsu the cop outfit in black.))
[[mhm >w > ]]
((He'll probably have that hidden away in pieces in their room somewhere. XD))
[[daww >w >lets just hope mitsu doesn't get the urge to do spring cleaning xDD]]
((lmao))
Kuri:: *brings a travel bag out of one of the drawers designated as his when they get to their room* ... *drags various clothes out of it, setting them out for Mitsu to look over before seeming to busy himself looking for more, when he's really hiding things he's been working on in secret at the bottom of his drawer, hoping nothing gets found*
((Also, I would imagine that the news that his competition for Mitsu's affections will be away might make Hasebe a bit happy too. XD))
Mitsutada: -begins to look at the various outfits, picking them a part, pairing certain shirts with certain pants and jackets, bundling them together so Kuri knows what to wear with what, occasionally swapping out a shirt or pant for a different one entirely- Hmm...
[[hahaha truuuueeeee]]
Kuri:: *brings out a couple more clothing items and sets them out, putting away the ones Mitsu doesn't bundle together* Something on your mind, Mitsu?
Mitsutada: ...Kuri-chan... I'm just worried. -sighs- That's all. -gives a sad smile and looks at him- I can't protect my partner when I'm miles away...
Kuri:: *walks over and hugs Mitsu* That's true, but if we don't do this, Masamune-sama will most likely keep declining.
Mitsutada: ... -wraps his arms around Kuri and holds him close- ...I know. Just... be safe, okay, Kuri-chan..? -touches his cheek and smiles at him-
Kuri:: *smiles a bit at nods* As safe as I can be while fulfilling the task I asked for. *frowns a bit* I don't really like this, but what other choice do we have? None of the recruits could handle this. And you're better at getting him to eat.
Mitsutada: ...True. -sighs- ...Ah.. One moment. -smiles and steps back, pulling his sword out of where it sits at his hip- ...Here. -hands it to him and closes Kuri's hand- ...Not the meaning I had before... but... to let me know you're safe.
Kuri:: *eyes the sword Mitsu hands him, then nods, drawing his own and handing it to Mitsu, carefully putting Mitsu's sword where his previously was* I'll keep it safe. I'll be picking up another sword on my way out in case I have to fight.
Mitsutada: ... -nods and places Kuri's sword where his used to be- And I will keep yours safe as well. -takes a deep breath- ...Well, when are you planning on heading out?
Kuri:: *thinks for a moment, then shrugs* I'm not sure, but I probably shouldn't delay too long... Long enough to at least say goodbye to you and Hira and grab some other supplies, maybe.
Mitsutada: Alright.. why won't you go gather your supplies and I'll go tell Hira... -frowns- I hope she'll take it well...
Kuri:: *nods* Alright. Should we meet up in the kitchen or where?
Mitsutada: -thinks- Garden? -smiles-
Kuri:: *smiles* Alright. Garden. I'll see you and Hira there in a bit. *gives Mitsu a quick hug, then heads out to go get another sword and supplies*
Hira:: *making her way to the kitchen with a basket of apples she'd picked*
Mitsutada: -nods and watches Kuri leave, has a sinking feeling in his chest, wishing that he could be going with his partner- ... -takes a moment to collect his thoughts and heads off to find Hira-
Hira:: *still puttering about in the kitchen, washing the apples she'd brought home off and setting them to dry nearby*
Mitsutada: -eventually finds her in the kitchen- Ah... Hira! -smiles and walks over to her-
[[I'm wondering if he should call Hira, Hira-chan?]]
((owo Up to you. I don't think she'll mind either way. XD))
Hira:: *looks up from what she's doing and smiles as Mitsu walks into the room* Hey mom. You were looking for me?
Mitsutada: Yes. -smiles and spots the apples- Are you going to be baking a pie? -chuckles-
Hira:: *smiles and nods* I thought it might be a good thing to try to cheer people up.
Mitsutada: It might be needed.. -chuckles- Just keep me away from it so I don't eat it all. -soon looks very serious- Hira... There's something very important I need to tell you.
Hira:: *had smiled again at Mitsu's saying to keep him away from it, then frowns as he looks serious* What's wrong?
Mitsutada: ...I'm not sure if you're aware, but a man by the name of Katakura Kojuro has gone missing. He has been with Masamune-sama since our lord was a child. He is better known as Masamune-sama's "right eye". Despite any attempts at acquiring information, there is little known about his disappearance... -pauses- Masamune-sama has ordered Kuri-chan to investigate. Which means he will not be in Oshu for quite some time...
Hira:: *frowns, worry on her face* There's no one else that can go, I'm guessing... And this man Katakura Kojuro must be very important to Masamune-sama... So dad is going by himself...?
Mitsutada: ...I would go but I found out Masamune-sama hasn't been eating right and is neglecting to take care of himself. -sighs- I must make sure our lord is healthy. -looks down- Kuri-chan can handle himself, I'm sure... -looks at Hira and smiles- We must do our best here while he is away, so when he returns he has something to look forwards to!
Hira:: *nods* I'll help you take care of Masamune-sama then. He shouldn't be able to avoid both of us fussing over him.
Mitsutada: -chuckles and shakes his head- Probably not. Hasebe-kun will be around as well.
Hira:: *blinks, trying to think if she'd met anyone with that name or not* Is that the man with the long gold fabrics on his shoulders that looks like they'd trip people walking too close to him?
Mitsutada: -blinks and laughs- Yes... that is Hasebe-kun.
Hira:: *smiles a bit* Ok. Then that at least gives me a name for the face now if I ever run into him. So, you trust him to help keep everyone safe?
Mitsutada: Before Kuri-chan and I fought side by side, I fought with Hasebe-kun. -doesn't go into detail about the relationship and tilts his head- Hasebe-kun is a very loyal sword to whomever is his master. If you're not his master, then I feel bad for you. -smiles-
Hira:: *blinks, then nods* Ok. So then it's a good thing he serves Masamune-sama too then. *generally doesn't ask questions about her parents' pasts, believing that if they wanted her to know, they'd tell her*
Mitsutada: I would think so. -smiles- Kuri-chan went to go get some supplies.. We should meet him in the garden soon.
Hira:: *nods* Alright. *will be fussing over Mitsu as well while Kuri is gone to make sure he eats too* Should we go see if he's there now then?
Mitsutada: Hm... Sure. -chuckles and leads her off to the garden-
Hira:: *follows after Mitsu*
Kuri:: *back from gathering supplies, the new sword at his waist near Mitsu's, his bag filled and at his feet, waiting in the agreed area*
Mitsutada: -spots Kuri with ease and heads over, walking a bit slower to let Hira run up to her dad if she wants-
Hira:: *runs up to Kuri and hugs him as soon as she's close enough, leaving space for Mitsu to hug him too if he wants*
Mitsutada: -follows after Hira, waiting a moment before hugging the both of them- ...-w-
Kuri:: *wraps his arms around Hira and Mitsu when they both hug him* You two stay safe, ok? Make sure Masamune-sama sticks around, too. Wouldn't be a very happy reunion if I manage to find and bring Kojuro back and Masamune-sama is ill or worse.
Mitsutada: -nods- Of course Kuri-chan... We'll be waiting for you.
Hira:: *nods* Right, dad.
Kuri:: *nods and hugs his family one more time* And Hira, you make sure Mitsu eats as well. *smiles a bit at Hira's nod* I'll be back as soon as I either find information about Kojuro's disappearance or find and get Kojuro himself.
Mitsutada: .... -nods- Stay safe, Kuri-chan... -remains smiling for Hira and Kuri's sake- "Put your guns on." -laughs-
Kuri:: *smiles a bit at Mitsu, ruffles Hira's hair, then picks up his things and heads for the gates with a nod*
Mitsutada: ... -watches Kuri leave, placing an arm around Hira, pulling her close to comfort her-
[[do you know how hard it must be for Mitsu to watch Kuri leave ; ; ]]
((Yessssssss. Poor bby.))
Hira:: * hugs Mitsu as Kuri leaves*
Mitsutada: It'll be alright... -not sure if he's saying that more for himself or for the both of them, rubbing Hira's shoulder a bit- ...Let's go make that pie, hm? -looks at her-
Masamune: -standing at the gates, figuring Kuri would have been eager to head off and was right- ...Yo. You take care, you hear? I don't need to lose anyone else.
Hira:: *frowns and nods, following Mitsu to the kitchen*
Kuri:: *blinks, having obviously not been expecting Masamune there, then nods* I'll do my best, Masamune-sama. *bows slightly to him, then continues out the gates*
Masamune: -waits until Kuri is about to pass him then speaks- "Thank you." -says nothing more and lets the other leave-
Mitsutada: -heads off to the kitchen with his daughter-
Hira:: *silently gathers what they'll need to make the pie*
((XD I feel sad for Mitsu and Hira right now lol))
[[same here ; ; ]]
((*cuddles them all*))
[[ ; ; ufldsjf my feels just are like nope. no sadness]]
((XD I know, right?))
-And with this, Kuri will be MIA from RP for quite some time-

In which Masamune-sama is asked to go to the festival and Hasebe has questions for Mitsutada
Mitsu: ;~;' -misses his Kuri-chan, Hasebe-kun is cool and all but he can't fill the void that is plaguing his heart-
Hira:: *misses Papa Kuri too* *has to make sure Mama Mitsu and Masa both eat*
Mitsu: -looks at Hira and smiles- Masamune-sama said that you can go to the festival if you'd like, Hira.
Hira:: *frowns* I won't go unless you and Masamune-sama are going as well.
Mitsu: Hm..? Well.. I guess we can all go. -smiles a bit- Hasebe-kun might want to go as well.
Hira:: *nods* He should go. He's supposed to help keep Masamune-sama safe, after all, and it wouldn't do for you all to miss the festival.
Mitsu: Yeah, I guess it would be uncool to miss it. -chuckles- Plus Kuri-chan would be very upset with me if I missed it due to him... -nods-
((*thinks it'd be great if Tsurumaru woke up/showed up during the festival*))
[[....oh my god.]] [[don't eat the food.]] [[don't play any games.]]
((lmfao))
[[lock up the women and children]] [[the men too while we're at it]]
((XD))
[[xDDDD]]
Hira:: *nods* Yeah, Papa Kuri would be pretty peeved if we all didn't go. So, why don't we go and pester Masamune-sama into deciding to go too?
Mitsu: -perks up a bit- Sure. -chuckles-
Masamune: -sitting down with Hasebe- ...Uh huh... and you two dated?
Hasebe: -nods- Yes. Ookurikara probably knows of this and that is where the hostility lies.
Masamune: -rubs the back of his neck- I can't really blame him. Mitsutada is a loyal sword, that much I can say, but to keep his ex around so closely has to raise some flags.
Hira:: *smiles and latches onto one of Mitsu's arms in a hug* C'mon, let's go then.
((XD Kuri's disliked you since before he found out about you and Mitsu, Hasebe lol))
[[truuue but hasebe don't know that xDD]]
((XD Also true))
Mitsutada: -ruffles Hira's hair a bit, smiling and leads her off to where he believes Masamune is resting-
Hasebe: ... -shakes his head- There is nothing going on between Mitsutada and myself. In fact he has rejected any advances I made. It is clear to me he loves Ookurikara very dearly.
Masamune: Heh... "You see"? Dragons are very loyal and protective.
Hira:: *fixes her hair from the ruffling, then follows along with Mitsu*
Hasebe: -nods- Yes, they are. -smiles-
Masamune: -leans against Hasebe, using him a like a pillow- In all honesty, I'm surprised you fell into my care. The demon king and myself never did see eye to eye.
Hasebe: -tenses a bit at the mention of his previous owner- He was not a likeable man.
Masamune: Hah! You can say that again.
Mitsutada: -eventually finds Hasebe and Masamune, bowing a bit when he enters the room- Ah... hello Masamune-sama, Hasebe-kun.
Hira:: *bows alongside Mitsu as they approach* Hello Masamune-sama. *smiles in greeting at Hasebe since she hasn't officially met him until now*
Masamune: Ahn? -looks up at him- Yo. -grins and gestures for them to sit-
Hasebe: Mitsutada.. -nods to him, smiling then looks at Hira- Hm..?
Mitsutada: Ah.. this is Hira, my daughter. -smiles and sits down with her-
Hira:: *bows again before sitting beside Mitsu* It's nice to meet you.
Hasebe: Heshikiri Hasebe... -bows faintly to her- Please, call me Hasebe.
Masamune: What brings the two of you here?
Mitsutada: Ah.. we were wondering about the festival.
Hira:: *smiles again at Hasebe* As you wish, Hasebe. *nods in agreement with Mitsu*
Hasebe: -wondering what Mitsu meant by daughter, will ask him later in private- ...
Masamune: Festival? What about it?
Mitsutada: Would you like to go with us...?
Hira:: *nods again* Yes, it wouldn't be right to go to the festival without you and Hasebe as well, Masamune-sama.
Masamune: Oh..? ...Hm... What about Ookurikara?
Hira:: *sighs slightly* I do not believe dad would want us all to miss the festival because he is not here to join us. And while I do not know Kojuro-sama at all, I would like to think he would not wish you to miss it either, Masamune-sama. Forgive me if I am over-stepping bounds, but... that is how I feel.
Masamune: ...Tch.. -looks away, thinking it over-
Mitsutada: ... -nods- I agree with Hira, Masamune-sama... Please, come and have a good time.... You've been so stressed lately...
Hasebe: ... -listening to them and closes his eyes- Masamune-sama, a small break from your duties would prove refreshing.
Hira:: *smiles and nods*
Masamune: Enough... I will think on it. -sighs- ...
Mitsutada: -nods- Of course...
Hasebe: -remains silent-
Hira:: *also stays silent*

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
[[Little drabbles of Mitsutada dealing with being separated from Ookurikara while the other searches for Kojuro.]]
------------
The first night was easy. A little too easy. Mitsutada went about his routine of smiling and pushing aside his fears and own sadness for the sake of others. In this case it was for his daughter - no their daughter - Hira. She needed him to be strong and strong he would be. He laughed and smiled and acted like he had no care in the world. His laughter and light-hearted nature seemed to make Hira smile and take the transition easier than it could of been. After baking a pie or two, he walked Hira back to her room, hugged her goodnight and went back to his room.
He didn't think too much of it when he got ready for bed and laid his head down for the night. When he awoke Ookurikara would be there, maybe biting him, or ripping off the covers, mumbling something about being starving and wanting breakfast. ...Right?
----
The next morning he awoke and rolled over to greet the usual grumpy face with a warm smile. As his eye opened and vision focused, a frown replaced the smile. "Good morning Ku---" Mitsutada felt a horrible feeling in his stomach as he frantically sat up and looked around his room. It wasn't until he remembered Masamune's orders and Ookurikara's departure that he calmed a bit. "...That's right." He sighed and brushed his bangs to their usual side. "I hope you're eating properly, Kuri-chan.." He chuckled a bit and reached down beside the futon and picked up the other's sword. "...Good morning Kuri-chan." He gave a sad smile and gently ran his fingers over the covering. It was silly, but he wanted to believe by some miracle the other could hear him.
----
A few weeks passed. Mitsutada had went about his days busying himself fretting over his lord. Masamune had gotten better at eating his meals [Mitsutada swore it was because his lord couldn't handle the nagging anymore]. Yet Mitsutada wasn't eating as properly as he should. He ate around Hira but when she wasn't around he'd miss a meal here or there. At night it was worse. He couldn't sleep. He would lay there staring at the ceiling fretting over scenario after scenario of what ifs. It wasn't only Ookurikara Mitsutada was worried about, there was Kojuro as well. And Masamune. If anything horrible happened to the Right Eye of the One Eyed Dragon... Heavens wrath would be unleashed on all of Nippon. The thoughts themselves were maddening.
To ease these thoughts during his waking hours. He would focus on his usual tasks, keeping Ookurikara's sword with him at all times. If he felt the need to comment on something, he spoke to the sword, as if the other could hear him. It was silly but it was how he was coping.
----
One night Mitsutada had found himself once again unable to sleep. Tossing and turning, the one-eyed sword was growing extremely irritable at his inability to get the much needed sleep his body pleaded for. Hasebe had noted the unusual snap to his tone when they spoke earlier. Hira also pointed out the bags under his eyes. Masamune even picked up that something was bothering him. Was it that noticeable? He missed Ookurikara tremendously. Perhaps too much. ...Maybe it was written all over his face after all? Ever since falling into Masamune's hands, Mitsutada had taken a liking to Ookurikara. Sure they started out a little rough due to personality clashes but they grew on one another. It got to the point they pretty much represented their lord's nickname and were always seen together. Eventually their closeness developed further into a romantic sense. For them to be separated for so long was a true test - One that was slowly eating away at Mitsutada.
He rolled over and closed his eyes, begging himself to fall asleep. Time passed and he found himself, yet again, staring up at the wall in a defeated gaze. Sleep was not going to come easy. He reached out and pulled Ookurikara's sword closer and clutched it to his chest. The sword had never left his side since day one. As he closed his eyes, silent tears streamed down his face and his voice but a whisper as he spoke, "Ookurikara... please return to me safely... I can't lose you..." Mitsutada couldn't remember how long he cried.

Thinking of you
((Little snippets of Ookurikara dealing with being separated from Mitsutada and Hira, his little family, and his intense dislike of Hasebe as he searches for Kojuro for Masamune.))
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
That first night away from Mitsutada was not the easiest on Ookurikara. While the surly sword was not usually a very talkative or friendly one around most, he had become more so the more time he'd spent with Mitsutada. He'd traveled as far as his horse could go that day, trying to make traveling between provinces take less time so that more time could be spent seeking out information on where Kojuro was last seen. His only company so far was the horse he rode. As he set up his little make shift camp that night, he kept Mitsutada's sword on him, reaching down every now and then to rest his hand on the hilt, telling himself he'd be home before he knew it. When he finally went to sleep for the night, it was with Mitsutada's sword close by, one hand on it, as if afraid something would snatch it from him in the night.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The next morning, Kuri woke, as early as he always does, at first expecting to see Mitsu's sleeping form across from him. He found himself frowning when instead of the familiar mop of black hair, his eyes saw the canvas of a tent. His grip on Mitsutada's sword had never changed during the night, he noticed. He hoped Mitsutada was remembering to take care of himself as well as look after Hira and Masamune-sama. He sighs and gets up, throwing on another change of clothes that Mitsu had helped him pick out and pack, then takes apart the tent and puts it and the bedding away before making himself something to eat. He could almost imagine Mitsu reprimanding him if he didn't eat enough and it brought a small smile to his face for a time.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The next few weeks passed much the same as the first day and night had, with perhaps a few exceptions when Kuri had come to a new province and started asking some discreet questions to try to discover Kojuro's trail. He was growing frustrated. It seemed nobody in the first couple provinces had seen anyone matching Kojuro's description. He refused to give up, however. Masamune-sama needed his Right-Eye back if he was to keep functioning and not unleash his wrath on all of the land. He made himself keep eating, even when he had no appetite. He'd need his strength to continue his task and return home to Mitsu and Hira, after all. He decided he would back track and head to the provinces west of Oshu. East had yielded no results, after all. He found himself frowning more and more, though, wondering if his partner was remembering to take care of himself in his absence. They hadn't been a couple for long, but even before then, Kuri had been the one to remind Mitsu to take care of himself as well as those around him. The other had a habit of ignoring his own health and needs at times. He still kept Mitsu's sword on his person at all times, taking to checking on it frequently when not around other people, almost as if looking at the blade would let him know the state of his partner. "You'd better be taking care of yourself, Mitsu." He murmurs to the black sword before putting it back in its sheath.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Finally, he seemed to be on the right track. Some of the locals in the provinces to the west had vague memories of seeing a man matching the description Kuri gave many many months ago passing through, but none had seen him come back that way. He thanked the farmer he was speaking to, giving the man a small bit of money as payment for the information, then he mounted up on his horse and continued along the path the farmer had pointed. When he set up camp that night, he draws Mitsu's sword by the campfire. "I've finally found the right trail, Mitsu... Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I can find Kojuro and return home." He very much wanted to return home to his family. At first, when Mitsutada had first come into Masamune's possession, Ookurikara hadn't cared for the other and his 'mothering' nature. The other had seemed to make it his goal to make sure Kuri was doing alright, whether they were in battle or at rest. Eventually, however, he'd found himself going from disliking the other to a grudging friendship and respect. That had led to Kuri reminding Mitsu to take care of himself as well when it seemed the other was neglecting himself. Over time, as their friendship deepend and they were rarely seen without eachother, Kuri had realized that his feelings for the other were more than friends. He found himself wanting to be around the other as much as possible, to hear him laugh, make him smile. When that day had come that Mitsu had brought up the topic of being able to find love in their current forms, it hadn't taken Kuri long to realize that Mitsu was the only one for him. He'd made his awkward confession, expecting to be turned away, and had been greatly surprised and pleased when the other seemed to return his affection. When Hasebe had entered the picture, Kuri was surprised at himself at the level of possessiveness that came over him whenever Hasebe was around Mitsu. He'd never really liked Hasebe before, but it was definitely worse knowing Hasebe and Mitsu had been together and Hasebe's taunting him whenever Mitsu and Masamune-sama had their attention focused elsewhere. He knew his attitude towards Hasebe was probably bothering Mitsu, and he had wanted to change that. That would have to wait until he found out what happened to Kojuro and returned home, however. Ookurikara glances back down at Mitsu's sword, wishing the other were there with him. "You better be taking care of yourself, Mitsutada. I'll be home soon enough." He then puts the sword back in its sheath, puts out the fire, and heads into his tent to sleep, Mitsu's sword with him, as always.

Forgive Me
[[Another Mitsutada rambling <3]]
The summer was in full swing. It had come on quite abruptly and the heat was making fieldwork difficult for the farmers and villagers alike. Many flocked to the local rivers, ponds and lake to find some form of refreshments. Mitsutada offered his aid to the local farmers that tended the fields by the castle. After he worked in those fields, he took it upon himself to weed and tend to what he could of Kojuro's original fields. They were vastly overgrown and lacked anything edible. Kojuro had put so much work into the fields. There were rock retaining walls to hold raised beds, pathways directed around the field and in between rows. Mitsutada would pause on some days and laugh to himself. Why were the paths there? A certain warlord must have trampled one too many plants! He would have to ask his lord someday or Kojuro himself if he returned... No, he would return. And then he can be asked.
Mitsutada staggered into the desolate garden. His clothes were caked with dirt and sweat from the hours he spent outside before in the other fields. If it weren't for Hira, he would have been sunburnt to a crisp. She made sure he took the proper steps to keep himself from getting burnt. Hira even gave him a spiffy hat! [Well, to be honest, it was a woman's sun hat... But Hira gave it to him and there was no way he could turn it down. He actually wore it with pride since his daughter offered it!] He pushed up on the brim of the hat and wiped away the sweat from his brow. "Alright... just a little bit more then I can rest." He smiled through the exhaustion and got to work weeding.
Hours passed. No one had heard or seen Mitsutada since he left the farmers' gardens. Hasebe was growing concerned due to the circumstances at Oshu lately. Political figures were at unrest with Masamune's decision to not allow trade to commence between Oshu and the other provinces. While Hasebe understood Masamune's reasoning behind it... many others thought it selfish. Due to being in service under Oda Nobunaga's care, the blonde sword knew well what that meant. Uprisings, revolts, ambushes, hostages, betrayal. So when Mitsutada had not returned from his field work, Hasebe naturally was worried.
He searched in the areas around the farmlands before returning to the castle. He recalled the conversations he held with the other sword just days earlier. Mitsutada was staring off at Kojuro's fields speaking about how neglected they were. That he felt bad and knew Kojuro would be mortified to see his hard-work overgrown. ....The idiot couldn't have, could he? With a hastened pace, Hasebe set off for Kojuro's fields. It was there he found Mitsutada collasped in the dirt. "Mitsutada!" He cried out and rushed to the others side.
Quickly he scanned over the other sword's body and found no signs of struggle. No blood. The only footsteps were Mitsutada's and now his own. "...You moron." He spoke silently and gently scooped the larger yet thinner sword into his arms. "...I will never understand why you neglect yourself for others. No one had ordered this of you..."
Mitsutada slowly began to stir upon feeling the world move beneath him. His eye opened and hazily looked at Hasebe. "....H-hasebe-kun..." He forced a smile to his dry cracked lips.
"...Don't speak." Hasebe sighed and rose to his feet. He noticed a sword fall to the ground. "...Hm..?" Looking down he saw the familiar purple sheathe - it was Ookurikara's. A bit of jealous rage ignited behind Hasebe's calm facade. Did they really exchange swords? Or was he looking too far into this? No... Mitsutada couldn't officially be Ookurikara's... could he?
Mitsutada took a few moments to realize in his dazed state that he had dropped the precious sword of his lover. "...K-kuri-chan..." He moved to lean down as if to pick it up, forgetting he was in Hasebe's arms.
Hasebe shook his head. "You're going to pass out if you move much. Let me get it for you." He carefully knelt down and picked the sword up, handing it back to Mitsutada before walking inside the castle. "Come... let's get you washed up and hydrated."
Mitsutada smiled at the sword and clutched it tightly in his hands. "....Sorry Kuri-chan... Guess I'm no good at taking care of myself.." He laughed weakly before nesting comfortably in familiar friendly arms.
Hasebe kept his thoughts and feelings to himself as he carried the other sword inside and to the bath house. He knew without Mitsutada saying it that this was between them. It would be a huge blow to Mitsutada's pride if Hasebe went and told Masamune-sama or even worse Ookurikara about how the one-eyed sword fell to the summer's sun. Only once they reached the bath house without anyone catching glimpse of them he sighed. "You've always been a handful, you know that?"
Mitsutada was beginning to pass out again, not from exhaustion, but from feeling safe and content. It wasn't until Hasebe spoke that he snapped out of the feeling and looked up. "...Have I? I'm sorry Hasebe-kun..."
Hasebe shook his head and gently placed Mitsutada down. "Get undressed and I'll wash you." He offered the other a towel to cover himself with once undressed. "Next time you wish to work in the garden, please enlist my aid. What happened will be our secret but I do not wish for it to happen again."
Mitsutada took the towel with a sheepish smile. "Alright, alright... I promise." He chuckled faintly and proceeded to get ready for his bath.

When you coming home dad? ((Hira blurbs))
Hira had not liked the thought of Papa Kuri leaving on a mission for who knows how long to who knows where. She knew this was important, however, for the lord she served along with her parents, since it was to find any information and hopefully retrieve his Right-Eye. She had done her best to keep up the smiling face around Mama Mitsu, baking apple pies with him to try to lift everyone's spirits. After she had helped clean the dishes from the baking and eating of the pies, Hira had wandered out to the training yard, picking up a wooden sword and practicing the various moves Kuri had been training her in. She wished she was better trained in sword work, thinking then she might have been able to accompany him on his mission. She frowns slightly at herself. That was selfish thinking. That would have left Mama Mitsu all alone, without Papa Kuri or Hira around. She shakes her head, focusing once more on her training, pushing selfish thoughts like that aside. She would do as Papa Kuri asked and do her best to try to make sure Mama Mitsu took care of himself too. Masamune-sama needed Mama Mitsu around to make sure he took care of himself as well during the Right-Eye's prolonged absence. Hira works herself until she is practically tripping over her own feet, tiredly putting the practice blade back and stumbling to her room after a quick bath, flopping down on her futon and off into sleep shortly after.

The days progressed much like the first, after doing any work Masamune-sama had set for the day and trying to make sure Masamune-sama and Mama Mitsu ate and rested, she would head back to the practice yard and swing the sword around until she could no longer. Then and only then would she allow the smile to fade from her face. Putting the practice blade away and bathing quickly again, she heads to her room once again, looking out the door that led outside. "Come home safely, Papa Kuri." She said softly, then crawls into the futon and goes to sleep, tossing and turning uneasily all night, nightmares of something bad happening to her dad plaguing her thoughts.
~*~*~*~*~
As the days wore on, Hira found it harder and harder to smile, even for Mama Mitsu's sake. She had just finished fieldwork for the day and noticed Mitsu had nothing to cover his head with to protect him from the sun. She had walked over and offered her sunhat to him, forcing a smile for him and telling him she did not wish him to burn in the sun. She had noticed a set of fields off by themselves that looked neglected, but had thought, rightly so, that they were for one who was currently missing, Kojuro, so kept her distance from them. She followed the routine she had set from the day Papa Kuri left, going to the practice field and practicing until she had no more energy.

The One Eyed Dragon
(( Masamune Drabbles! ))
Masamune day after day had to deal with nagging officials. They simply could not leave him alone for more than 24 hours. As if he'd forget what they had told him a thousand times over - Hah! He wanted to forget. A few nights ago he tried drinking himself into a stupor and well let's just say one of the doors was sliced into confetti causing Mitsutada and Hasebe to come running in as if on cue to defend their lord... Only to find him drunk and arguing with the sake bottle. The rest of that night was a blur and Masamune couldn't recall it. A part of him believed he didn't want to. Mitsutada and Hasebe never spoke of it so either something humiliating happened or they took care of it and put him to bed. Tonight though was one of those nights he itched for a drink. After a long meeting he was left with little desire to mingle with his gang or swords, retreating to his room. Unfortunately for him all the sake was removed by Mitsutada to prevent another rough night and to protect the poor castle from their would-be drunken lord. He sat down at a small table and stared at some paper and ink he had. "...That's right... Ookurikara and Mitsutada wanted that swordsmith to come to Oshu." See? He doesn't forget. Sometimes it just takes awhile! Running his fingers through his hair he sighed, pushing his bangs back a bit which fell right back in place. "...Replica swords, was it? Heh." He grabbed the brush and dipped it in the ink, getting a sheet and began to write the letter addressed to none other than Sanada Yukimura. He would give it to one of his most trusted messengers to see that it reached Yukimura himself or his ninja safely.
-----
It was a rainy day, pouring, and all of Oshu hibernated inside. Their lord was no different. Masamune leaned against a doorway, looking out at the garden Kojuro had started. When did it get so overgrown with weeds? For a long time the dragon stood there, arms crossed, staring at the ruins of a former garden of glory. Kojuro often came here to relax. Masamune didn't understand it. After a long day of dealing with officials, training, horse keeping or running other errands [read - babysitting Masamune], how could doing more work be relaxing? "...He always was here." Masamune muttered under his breath. Since Masamune was known as Bontenmaru, Kojuro had worked on the garden. Countless interactions occurred in those fields. A good majority of them were scoldings. Masamune closed his eye and stifled a chuckle. "...Heh."
'Bontemaru! How many times have I told you not to pull the carrots out of the ground!' Kojuro shouted at the muddy child.
A young Masamune looked up at Kojuro, puzzled as to why he was being yelled at. 'I'm only helping you! They have to come out anyways.'
Kojuro's expression softened a bit as he sighed. 'Bontemaru, look at the carrot. See how small it is? It still is being nurtured. It still needs time to grow.'
Masamune looked down at the carrot in his hand then to the ones half-haphazardly thrown on the ground. '...So what if they're small? They're still carrots.'
Kojuro walked over and knelt besides the child. '...Patience is what makes them grown with more purpose.'
Masamune wrinkled his nose and tossed the little carrot on the ground. 'That makes no sense!'
Kojuro reached out and ruffled Masamune's hair, a small smile on his face. 'It might not but things take time to reach their full potential. Some day you'll see... Remember that.'
Masamune opened his eyes and sighed. "Take time, huh, Kojuro? How much time?" He sounded disappointed. Stupid carrots. Stupid rain... "Tch..." He pushed off the doorway and walked back into his room. "...Thanks... even food reminds me of you." He sighed but a slightly amused smile played at his lips. "...Stupid carrots."

'Mother'/Daughter time ((Happened over IMs))
Hira:: *just coming back in from doing fieldwork*
Mitsutada: -was assisting Masamune and Hasebe all day so wasn't out in the fields like he usually is, waiting outside in the training area where Hira usually goes after work- Hm...
Hira:: *makes her way to the training area, looking at the ground as she walked, not expecting Mitsutada to be there*
Mitsutada: -waits a moment before making himself known, can see the sad look on her face- ...Hira-chan?
Hira:: *blinks and looks up, a bit startled that anyone else was there* Huh...? *eyes widen when she sees Mitsu standing there* M-Mom?
Mitsutada: -walks over to her- You remembered to dress properly for the weather. I'm proud of you. -gives a warm smile- ...I know Kuri-chan usually trains with you... but do you mind if I am your partner today?
Hira:: *doesn't really feel much like smiling, but forces a small one on her face anyway* I-if that's what you feel like doing, I don't mind, mom. With dad.... busy... I've just been coming here and practicing on my own.
Mitsutada: I wouldn't be here if I didn't. -remains smiling, and squats down a little bit to be at eye level with her- I've actually rearranged my schedule so I can come watch you more often...
Hira:: *blinks at that, a real smile coming to her face* You didn't have to do that, mom. *heads over to pick up a couple of the wooden practice blades, offering one to Mitsu* Shall we then? I'm still learning...
Mitsutada: -chuckles- ...Being a parent is learning experience, Hira.. So we can learn together, hm? You with a sword and me being a parent. -grins at her, taking the sword- How... how has Kuri-chan taught you to hold a sword? -tilts his head, thinking it would be just like how Kuri stands with the sword in front of him-
Hira:: Ok. I think you've been a great parent though, mom. *thinks on the question for a moment, then takes the stance she'd been shown, which was like how Kuri stands* Uh... Like this.
Mitsutada: ... Ah... thank you Hira... That means a lot to me. -smiling, trying not to tear up and soon watches her- Huh... A minature Kuri-chan. -chuckles- Alright.... I fight a bit different than Kuri-chan. So I will do my best not to throw you off too much. -brings the sword up in his usual fighting stance- Care to show me what you've learned?
[[Mitsu seems to keep his sword up at all times, like... by his chest. Kuri starts off that way then drops it down later xDD]]
((XD Yeah))
[[-looking at their arts- .w.]]
((But then Mitsu does have a blind spot he has to cover. Makes sense he'd keep it up all the time.))
[[yeah owo]]
Hira:: You're welcome mom. Learning with different fighting styles should help me learn to better defend myself and others though, right? *fixes her stance slightly and makes a couple slashes with the practice blade to show what she'd learned so far*
[[owo she's attacking him, right? or just attacking the air ?]]
((Just attacking the air to show him right now. XD))
[[ oo okees x3]]
((XD She didn't think it'd be fair to attack him first. lol))
Mitsutada: -nods- One day maybe Masamune-sama will even show you a trick or two. -chuckles and watches her- Oh, very good! -grins- Now, pretend I'm an enemy and attack me. Don't worry about injuring me, just focus on your attack. I'll be blocking.
Hira:: I... I'll try. *blinks a bit, then nods, frowning a bit and slashing in Mitsu's direction, attention not fully on attacking since she didn't want to hurt the other* ....
Mitsutada: -blocks the attack with the sword- ...Focus, Hira. -smiles-
Hira:: ...right... *re-sets her stance and attacks again, a little bit more focused, but still not quite there*
Mitsutada: ... -purposely knocks the sword from her hands with his block- ...This is why you focus, Hira... Anytime you draw a blade you must have your mind and heart set on using it. Whether it be for defense or offense... You never know who you may have to draw it on...
[[and I wanna say kuri is just teaching her to fight, not the rules or anything like that xDD]]
((XD Pretty much lol))
[[so mitsu can teach her the rules and stuffs . w . ]]
Hira:: *blinks as the sword is knocked from her hands* ...understood mom. *goes to where her sword landed and picks it back up, taking her stance and attacking again, blue eyes narrowed as she focuses*
Mitsutada: -brings the sword up and blocks when she strikes, noting more strength and accuracy behind the hit- "Okay!" Now you're getting the hang of it! Again. -smiles-
Hira:: Right! *attacks again*
Mitsutada: -blocks again and starts to apply pressure, starting to push her back but doesn't knock her sword out- ...In a real battle if you were to lock blades with someone, to gain the upper hand... you apply pressure on their blade. You can choose to hit their blade upwards as I did earlier or overpower them, knocking their sword downwards which would give you a safer and cleaner chance for an attack.
[[-thinks- or it could be reversed... depends on the speed of the two I guess xDDD]]
Hira:: *frowns slightly as she was pushed back a bit, listening to what Mitsu was saying and nods* Ok.... *while blades are still locked up, she tries to push back*
[[cause if the sword is knocked upwards, it leaves you vulnerable to be tackled as you go to strike down.. if the sword is knocked downwards it makes the other person have to take longer to recover and its easier for you to dodge if they go to strike again but you in return have to bring your sword back up]]
[[-thinking- ._o]]
Mitsutada: ...-not using his full strength, allowing it to be an even deadlock- ...If you're quick. If you're not quicker than your enemy, they can easily turn the tides of battle regardless of how you choose to go. Bring my sword downwards and stop once my blade's tip hits the ground. I will show you what can happen.
Hira:: O-ok... *struggles a bit with trying to figure out how exactly to force someones sword down until she finally figures it out, watching closely and stopping when she was told to*
Mitsutada: -watches her struggle, giving no hints or indication on which way to move to overpower him but smiles as she figures it out, bringing his blade around to touch the ground, his arms lowered- Bring you arms up as if you were going to slice down. -waits for her to start moving- ...A quicker opponent would take less time to recover from this... bringing their arms up halfway, using their body weight to knock into you like so... -gently taps her in the side with his forearm- The force would make you stumble... in which they can step back and allow their blade to follow you, potentially injuring you. And that is one way you can lose your advantage.
Hira:: *blinks and stores this information away, nodding a bit* So I should keep practicing so that I can hopefully be quicker than my opponent, right?
Mitsutada: -stands up right and shakes his head- Gaining speed is good but you must also pick your fights wisely... and if you cannot beat them with speed, you must learn to outsmart them with your wits.
Hira:: I see. *curious why Kuri didn't try teaching her this before, but thinks he wanted to focus more on her sword work before throwing other things at her, or maybe it had been his plan all along for Mitsu to help teach her as well* ... *stands up right as well* So what comes next..?
[[something tells me its the latter xDD]]
((XD Yeah))
Mitsutada: -chuckles- If you had knocked my sword out of my hands or up in the air, what do you think my options would have been?
Hira:: *thinks for a moment before speaking* If I had knocked it out of your hands, your options... would maybe have been to either go after your sword or try to tackle me while I was off stance...? If up in the air, maybe bump into me to knock me further off-balance...?
Mitsutada: "Bingo!" -cheers a bit for her and chuckles- Or in a last ditch effort I could try to attack you with my sword regardless, or meet your blade to block.
Hira:: Understood. So it takes being quick on your feet and thinking quickly in different situations to be successful in battle then?
Mitsutada: -nods- As you get better with wielding a sword you can experiment and try new ways and styles to create one that works best for you and how you think. Kuri-chan and I can only make sure you have the know-how to get started...
Hira:: *nods, frowning again* So how are you, Masamune-sama, and Hasebe doing...?
Mitsutada: ...Ah.. -blinks- Masamune-sama is eating again. It took a lot of persuasion but he's doing much better. Hasebe-kun has been going out during the day to fend off some small revolts that have been occurring. We think its a political movement.
Hira:: *frowns, listening and noticing Mitsu hadn't said how he was doing exactly* Do Hasebe and Masamune-sama think it's going to get worse soon?
Mitsutada: -pauses, thinking- Hm... Hasebe-kun never trusts any riots or revolts... He actually thinks whomever is behind them may have more information on where Kojuro is. Masamune-sama has been trying to figure out which official is the unhappiest but with so many uneasy with our lord... -sighs and throws his hands up- It's anyone's guess...
Hira:: *frowns at that* I wish dad could send a letter or something to let us know how he is and if he's found anything. It would help Masamune-sama, I'm sure. But if it were intercepted, there'd be trouble, so I understand why we haven't gotten anything yet.
Mitsutada: ... -blinks- ..I've never seen Kuri-chan write anything to be honest.
Hira:: *blinks* So... he might not know how to write..? *hadn't thought of that, to be honest*
((XD I'm going with he can, he just can't do it very well and it looks like chicken scratch. lol))
[[yeah xDD Mitsu probably practices his handwriting so is like super neat in comparison to Kuri]]
[[ ;w; opposites <3]]
((XD Yeah))
Mitsutada: No, I think Kuri-chan can write. Just chooses not to. -nods-
Hira:: *nods a bit* It's probably safer that he doesn't, but that doesn't help us out...
Mitsutada: ... -gives a sad smile and walks over, placing the wooden sword on a rock- Come here, Hira... -takes Kuri's sword out from where he hooks it under his belt-
Hira:: *blinks and follows Mitsu, recognizing the sword when it's brought into view* Isn't that the sword dad carries everywhere?
Mitsutada: -nods- ...Kuri-chan is as much this sword as he is what you know him by. -gently runs his hand over the sheath before drawing the blade- ...I look at it every morning and night for any changes... Right now it looks dull, there is no shine. Kuri-chan must be tired. -chuckles and kneels down, holding out the sword for her to look at- ...You can speak to him if you want. I don't know if he can hear us but, it's a nice thought.
[[I'm going to guess only swords can pick up on small things like that]]
[[to Hira the sword probably looks like any other sword xDDD]]
((XD Yeah, I would guess that too))
[[and yes I'm going off your little drabble >w> ]]
((XD))
Hira:: *blinks, not quite understanding what Mitsu meant with that* I don't understand, mom. So... you're saying this is like... a piece of dad, in a way? *doesn't notice any difference in the blade, but then again, she had not been around many of them* ... *steps closer to the sword anyway, feeling a bit silly for talking to it, but thinking it might help in some way for some reason* So... just talk to i..him? *frowns a bit, then takes a breath and lets it out* Ok, here goes... Hi dad, it's Hira... I hope you find Kojuro safe and sound and both of you come home soon. We miss you.
Mitsutada: -nods- ...We are swords, Hira. If our blade breaks, this version of us will disappear. That is why we keep our swords on us at all times... -forces a smile and lets her speak to Kuri-
[[xDDDD]]
[[then why don't you have your sword, mitsu, hm?]]
((XD Because he gave it to Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuri. XD))
[[mhhmm xDDD]]
Hira:: *blinks at that* I'm guessing Hasebe is as well? Where's... *stops herself, thinking back to the day Kuri had left; remembers seeing him with two swords, one of which had looked like the one Mitsu usually had with him* You sent yours with dad. That's why you don't have it with you. And that's why he had that other sword then, right? So you wouldn't get hurt if he had to fight.
Mitsutada: -nods- Hasebe-kun is a sword that originally was owned by Oda Nobunaga. A master we both served before coming here. -blinks then nods again- Yup! Kuri-chan has my sword... It's just so we're still together... It... doesn't have the same meaning as it should... -looks a little heartbroken at that-
[[xDD mitsu you realize she has no idea what you're talking about]]
Hira:: *blinks in confusion at the information, not sure what to ask for clarification on first; focuses on the last bit since that seemed most important, what with Mitsu looking heartbroken* What is the meaning? Maybe dad didn't know what it meant...? Depending on what it meant, he probably would have gladly accepted, mom. He's probably upset at himself for not knowing, if it affected you like this. *motions to his heartbroken expression*
Mitsutada: Huh..? O-oh.. I'm sorry.. I was lost in thought.. I'm a bit old fashioned. -chuckles, and looks down at Kuri's blade sadly, gently resting a hand on it- ...Not many swords follow this custom. It's becoming more and more archaic as time goes on... When we are given to our masters or our master finds us, we swear a silent oath to always protect and follow orders. There is little choice when it comes to our master. What choice we do have is who we offer our blade to. I love Kuri-chan deeply... so much that I would bestow to him the most intimate offering I could. My very being. And by that I mean giving him my blade to use as he sees fit. If he chose to fight with it instead of his own, I would not complain. If he chose to keep it safe, again I would not complain... I willingly would accept being his and only his. This oath goes deeper beyond that of Master and sword. -thinks- ...It is like a proposal, the sword being a ring.
Hira:: *blinks wide-eyed at that* I'm certain if dad knew what that had meant, he'd have accepted in a heartbeat, mom. I'm sure he loves you just as much as you love him. You should.. explain it to him when he comes home. I'm sure it isn't his fault he doesn't know, if no one ever explained it to him before.
Mitsutada: -sighs- ..What if he knew though, Hira...? Maybe he doesn't want such a big commitment... -sheathes Kuri's blade and returns it on his belt where he keeps it- Perhaps I was too quick to offer him mine... but... I do love him... and don't want to lose him to anyone else. Perhaps I'm just worried I will be rejected again... -looks down, was pretty crushed the day Kuri didn't accept but figured it was due to the other being a younger sword and not knowing-
Hira:: *wraps her arms around Mitsu in a hug* I'm positive he just didn't know, mom. I've watched how you two are with each other. *smiles a bit* It's like you two are off in your own happy little world when you're together and not doing some task that requires your attention. And from what I've heard, dad started to change when you two became a couple. I'd say that's a sign he loves you. I'm sure if he wasn't interested he'd have outright said no. Did he say no when you first offered, or did he just look confused?
Mitsutada: -blinks then smiles a bit, hugging Hira in return- ...Thank you Hira... I needed to hear that... -smiles warmly and thinks back on that day- ...Pretty confused...
Hira:: *smiles* See? So it's possible he just doesn't know. Oh, you have to tell him and propose again when he gets home, mom, you HAVE to. You two deserve each other.
Mitsutada: -blushes a bit- Ah... alright... alright. -chuckles- When I find a good time to try again... I'll give it another go, promise.
Hira:: *smiles wider at that* Good. I'll remind you when he gets back and things calm down.
Mitsutada: Of course. -ruffles her hair gently, fixing it right after- So, Hira... how do you like living in Oshu?
Hira:: *laughs as her hair is ruffled, not caring if it were messed up or not* Hrm? Well, it is my home. I love it here. I don't think I'd ever want to live anywhere else.
Mitsutada: I'm happy that you like it here... =w=
Hira:: *blinks and tilts her head slightly* I'm curious now... Why did you ask how I liked living here?
((Like... I think she figured out she wasn't Mitsu and Kuri's real kid. Neither of them have blue eyes, after all. But other than that, she'd have no clue she probably would have been raised elsewhere if she hadn't been dumped on Kuri.))
Mitsutada: Well.. I'm sure you've figured out by now you're adopted... I just... wonder if you ever think about the what ifs?
[[yeah xDD PFFT. She's much better off with Momma Mitsu and Poppa Kuri ;; ]]
((XD Indeed she is lol))
Hira:: *smiles at that* I've known for awhile that I was adopted. Neither of you have blue eyes, so unless one of you ran away from my mom with me and she had blue eyes, you would have had to have adopted me. *blinks, then shakes her head* No, I've never thought about what I would be like if I hadn't grown up here with you and dad as my parents. *hugs Mitsu again with a grin* You're the only mom I ever want. And Papa Kuri is the only dad I ever want.
Mitsutada: ... -blinks, a bit wide eyed then smiles warmly and hugs her tightly- ...I'm so happy you came into our lives, Hira....
[[ ;w; daw]]
((<3333))
Hira:: *hugs Mitsu back just as tightly* And I'm glad to be here. Were you worrying about what I was thinking about being adopted this whole time?
Mitsutada: ... Yeah, I wasn't sure how you were taking it...
Hira:: *grins at that* I think I'd have told you if I wasn't happy here, mom.
((XD Yes, she takes after Kuri with saying when she doesn't like something. lol))
[[daww x3 <333]]
Mitsutada: ...Ah... -looks at her and just chuckles- You take after your father.
Hira:: *grins at that* I'm sure I have picked up traits from both of you. I like cooking too, after all. I've not once seen dad cook. So I know I didn't learn it from him.
Mitsutada: Oh...? -smiles- And soon enough you'll be using a sword like us too.
Hira:: *nods* I hope I'm able to learn to use it as well as the rest of you. I want to help out more than I have been.
Mitsutada: You're doing really well so far!
Hira:: You think so? *frowns a bit* We never did hear back whether Masamune-sama was going to the festival too with us and Hasebe.
Mitsutada: You'll be a force to be reckoned with in no time. -nods and blinks- I think Masamune-sama will come... we just need to get him out of the castle, that's all. -smiles- Which should be easy granted how many times a day he's bugged by others.
Hira:: *chuckles* Good. I'd hate for him to miss it too because he's sad. He should join us because the one he misses probably wouldn't want him moping about so.
Mitsutada: We simply must tell him its a "party". I'm sure he'll get "fired up" and want to come along. -w-
Hira:: Ehehe. And I think it will do the people good to see him out there too. *nods* Oooh? That will work with him?
Mitsutada: Hm..? Unless if he's really upset I don't see why he wouldn't want a chance to parade around. -w- -a trait he shares with his master xDD-
Hira:: *thinks for a moment on that* Then those visiting officials better not upset him. Otherwise I will smack them with this sword. *brings up the wooden sword she's been practicing with*
((*horribly amused at the thought of Hira chasing anyone around with one*))
Mitsutada: -blinks- ... -laughs- Hira... I don't think that would be smiled upon by the other officials...
[[xD its very amusing <33]]
Hira:: *frowns* I don't care if they smile upon it or not. They should know by now not to upset Masamune-sama. *sets down the wooden sword and crosses her arms stubbornly across her chest*
((XD))
Mitsutada: There's been more and more new faces during the meetings... And it's very obvious this is all tied into what's been going on both here and outside of Oshu. Actually, the ones who support Masamune's decision... I haven't seen many of them at the last few meetings...
Hira:: *frowns* That doesn't sound good at all. What are we going to do if they are behind Kojur's absence, mom?
Mitsutada: ...Knowing Masamune-sama... it will be war.
Hira:: Well, the bastards would have brought it on themselves in that case if they were behind his disappearance.
Mitsutada: -grins- You're right. Masamune-sama talked to Hasebe-kun earlier today... -tilts his head- I wonder why.
[[some official is probably missinnnngggg]]
[[and Hasebe is most likely attending future meetings. And after each of the meetings he attends, another opposing official goes missing xDD]]
((XD YAY))
Hira:: Ooooooo. I'm glad Hasebe is on Masamune-sama's side, since you said he is very loyal to whoever he pledges himself to.
Mitsutada: -nods- Hasebe-kun can be quite terrifying. -chuckles-
Hira:: *blinks at that* He seemed nice enough the few times I saw him, but I would guess if I were an enemy he wouldn't be so nice and would be terrifying.
((XD She's getting the 'nice' bit from him letting Masamune use him as a pillow and being polite when they were first introduced lol))
[[xDD! oh hira... he can be the sweetest devil you've ever met.]]
((lmao))
Mitsutada: May I ask why you think he is nice? Not that you're wrong, I am just curious. -smiles-
Hira:: *blinks* I don't know, really. I guess because he didn't seem irritated or anything when Masamune-sama was using him as a pillow. And he seemed very polite when we were being introduced. I guess it's because I've not seen him often enough to see him act any other way. *shrugs slightly*
Mitsutada: -chuckles- I see... would you like to go see him? He should be back by now.
Hira:: *blinks* Only if you think he wouldn't be bothered. Not that I'd really know what to say to him aside from asking him how he's doing.
Mitsutada: In a way he could be considered your uncle... so you should get to know him better. -nods- Let's go say hi.
Hira:: *follows along behind Mitsutada* So.. I could call him uncle Hasebe, do you think? Or would he not like that?
Hasebe: -had just got done washing his clothes to rid them of blood and is in more comfortable clothes, sitting down in the garden nearby where Masamune's room is so he's in earshot if anything happens-
Mitsutada: Hm..? -chuckles- I think he needs a little time before you can call him that.
Hira:: *nods at that* Alright.
Mitsutada: Hm... -thinks and eventually finds Hasebe out in the garden- Hasebe-kun! -waves over-
Hasebe: Hm...? -looks up- Hello Mitsutada. -looks at Hira- ...Hira. -nods-
Hira:: *following Mitsu rather like how a duckling follows its mom; smiles and bows a bit to Hasebe* Good evening, Hasebe.
Mitsutada: -smiles at Hira then to Hasebe- Mind if we join you?
Hasebe: Evening. -looks to the empty spots besides him- Be my guest.
Mitsutada: -walks over and sits down besides Hasebe, patting the spot next to him for Hira to sit down- ^^... -soon smells blood- ... -looks at Hasebe and raises a brow-
Hasebe: -looks at Mitsutada and just gives the faintest of smiles-
[[hasebe smelled like... smoke and ash with a faint hint of blood, right? xDD]]
((XD Yeah, I think that was it. Hira wouldn't really notice since she's not a sword, I think, and not quite a warrior.))
[[yeah but she probably could smell the smokey/ashen scent xDD]]
[[like a fireplace ov ob]]
Hira:: *follows and sits down by Mitsu, smelling a faint hint of smoke and looking around for a moment curiously before shrugging it off and smiling again* Thank you, Hasebe. *doesn't notice the glances shared between the two swords; decides to let them speak for now while she tries to figure out what exactly to say*
Mitsutada: -leans back on his hands and looks up at the sakura tree- ...It's lovely, isn't it? We've had nice weather lately...
Hasebe: Hm..? -chuckles- Yes, we have. -looks at them before looking at the tree- Do you like flowers, Hira?
[[my headcannon is mitsu dry pressed the dahlia flowers ]]
((XD Ok))
Hira:: *blinks, having looked at the tree when Mitsu commented on it, looking back when she was spoken to* Huh? Y-yes, I do. *has some little flower pots just outside the outer door of her room with some tiny flower bearing plants growing in them* I really like the ones I've seen on my way to the fields. I forget what they were called, but they were all sorts of colors.
Mitsutada: The dahlia flowers? -blinks- Or are they wild flowers?
Hasebe: -listens to them, waiting for Hira's answer-
Hira:: *blinks* That first one sounds familiar. The blue-black ones in the front caught my attention when I first walked by them.
Mitsutada: Ah... yes those are dahlias then.
Hasebe: Did you know that different types of flowers represent different things? -opens up his hands and looks down at the orange lily and white chrysanthemum in his hands-
[[orange lily - revenge, white chrysanthemum - death and grief]]
[[xDD it fits considering he just killed someone]]
((XD True))
[[he might also now and then pick yellow tulips without realizing it. it means one-sided love]]
Hira:: Dahlias. *says the name so she hopefully doesn't forget it again, then looks at Hasebe* I found a book that I was planning to read through when I wasn't busy that seemed to mention that. I haven't gotten very far in it yet.
((Poor Hasebe. *refrains from petting him though* <3))
[[mhm ;; but its okay <333]]
Mitsutada: Dahlias mean good taste. So they're "cool". -chuckles and looks down at the flowers Hasebe has- ...Hasebe-kun.
Hasebe-kun: Hm..? I was planning on bringing these to a grave in the morning. -smiles-
Hira:: *chuckles slightly at Mitsu* "Cool", is it? *looks from one to the other, getting the feeling there was something else going on that wasn't being spoken about, but refrains from saying anything* Oh? That is nice of you, Hasebe.
Hasebe: ... Hm. Hira... do not trust any man that approaches you if you go out for a few days. -looks at her-
Mitsutada: ... -gets a more serious look on his face and sighs- ... -nods- If you want to go out somewhere, ask Masamune-sama, Hasabe-kun or myself. Remember what we were talking about earlier?
Hira:: *blinks, then nods* Alright, but... that includes when I go out to do fieldwork, I'm guessing..? *frowns slightly, since she likes helping with the fields*
Hasebe: Mitsutada usually goes to the fields, today he had other things to attend to. If he does not go, I will go instead.
Mitsutada: -nods- Mhm. -smiles-

Sanada Yukimura blinks at the letters before him at his desk. One was from his friend and rival, Date Masamune, requesting the use of the swordsmith that currently worked for Yukimura. Something about needing replacement swords made up. Yukimura was more than happy to help Masamune-dono. It wasn't often that the one-eyed dragon asked for help, after all, so it must be of the utmost importance. The other letter was from one of Masamune-dono's swords, the one named Ookurikara. It was hard for Yukimura to read, if he was being honest, the writing barely legible. Yukimura's brow was scrunched up in concentration as he tried to decipher what was being said. Within that letter had been another, and from what he was able to gather, he was politely asking Yukimura to make sure that the letter went directly to Masamune or Mitsutada, as he wasn't sure who else could be trusted with it. Yukimura carefully tucks the other letter into a pocket on the inside of his jacket as he stands up from his desk. He walks out of the room and looks around before spotting Guy. "I am going to Oshu on business. I am entrusting the safety of Kai and it's people to you and our sons, Guy. I'll be taking the swordsmith with me." Guy frowns a bit at that, but nods. "Very well. Will you be taking any of the troops with you for protection?" Yukimura shakes his head. "I am not going out to fight, and a large group would attract attention. Date Masamune-dono has asked if he could borrow our swordsmith for a time." He thought about mentioning the letter as well, but refrains. "I shall return when I have delivered the swordsmith to Oshu and seen how Masamune-dono is doing. Do not worry." He smiles at his mate, hugging him quickly before turning and heading out the door, grabbing his spears and packing some clothes. He speaks with the swordsmith, who agrees to help in whatever way he can. The two head off through the gates of Kai, on their way to Oshu. ~*~*~*~*~ Yukimura stops outside the gates of Oshu, smiling cheerfully at the guards. "Sanada Genjiro Yukimura is here to speak with the One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu, Date Masamune-dono." He says in his politest tone, he and the swordsmith standing near their horses to await Masamune's response.

Mitsutada was currently assisting Masamune with some political matters. Things had gotten confrontational and Masamune was facing a small riot. Not wanting to draw blades or harm his people, he was forced to try and peacefully come to negotiations. Which was proving difficult. As a result, Mitsutada had arrived to try and smooth things over. Hasebe had originally accompanied the other sword but Mitsutada and him both agreed the gates of Oshu should be watched by a trusted member of the clan before all hell broke lose. And who better suited, and more loyal, than Hasebe? None really. For all his bad points, if you wanted a job done - send Hasebe to do it. And as such when Yukimura spoke up Hasebe stepped out from behind one of the gate's doors. He eyed the young tiger cub warily. "Masamune-sama is currently attending to other matters. What business do you have with him...?"

Yukimura blinks at Hasebe, having not met him before, then smiles again, figuring he was a newer recruit of Date Masanune's. "Date Masamune-dono had sent a letter to Kai requesting the use of our swordsmith. There is another matter that I was directed to speak of only with Masamune-dono or Mitsutada-dono, however, so I accompanied the swordsmith here so I could make sure it gets to them as requested." His spears were attached to the saddle of his horse, so while he was armed, it had been more for the protection of himself and the swordsmith if they had been attacked on their way to Oshu. He wasn't going to demand entry, no, that would be quite rude and Yukimura was definitely not that. He even bows slightly to Hasebe before reaching up and petting his horse on the neck slightly before reaching into a bag hanging off the saddle and producing the letter Masamune had written and sent to him, offering it slowly to Hasebe so the other could read it over.

Hasebe raised a brow when the other began to reach into the bag. His hand instantly went to rest on the hilt of his Uchigatana but he relaxed very faintly upon being offered a letter. "Oh..? I was not aware." He mentions in passing and takes the letter, opening it and reads it over. It certainly was Masamune-sama's penmanship. Taking a moment he raised the letter up to the sun and scanned the document for authenticity. As he spotted the hole through the eye of the bird, a very faint yet accurate indication it was administered by Masamune-sama himself, he folded it back up and nodded. "Very well.. you may enter Oshu but until Masamune-sama is done with his duties, I will be forced to accompany you."
