"And its about more than having easy access to a quick ********. I think I have already proven that I can have any woman I want, haven't I." Riko said pointedly. Before snorting. "What's this about Mercy. Honestly."

Mercy nearly forgot her original motivations as she stared Riko down, eyes narrowed and teeth clenched. Suddenly, for a moment, she felt gross. Gross and regretful for ever having let last night happen. The beeping of her phone snapped her out of her anger, however, and she felt her stomach drop. s**t. Mercy tore her eyes from Riko and pulled out her phone.

Ouch!
Tick tock.
Mercy closed her eyes, drew in a deep breath, and let it out slowly. She pushed her phone back into her pocket. "Nevermind. Forget I said anything," she said, her voice tense, but, for the most part, neutral. She had said she would handle the werewolf situation... Mercy handed the baby to Riko and started cleaning up the props. This photoshoot was officially over. "If we're going to make memories with her, this isn't going to cut it."

(Yea Riko = the meanest) Riko didn't back down from Mercy's glare even when she saw how the girls jaw tightening in a way that would suggest that violence could very well be a possibility at this very moment if things didn't cool down. However Riko didn't attempt to be the cooler head in this situation. Mercy's phone pinged and that seemed to be the ice breaker, as the girl averted her eyes to read the screen. She seem to deflate and give up after that, opting out of the conversation. "I will forget it, and I hope it never gets brought up again." Riko said, standing up after Mercy had handed her Elle. "So how do you suggest we make these memories then?"

(One day, Mercy's going to stab Riko with a stake if she's not careful.
Sidenote: definitely spelled stake "steak" first time through. But that could still happen...)
Mercy was pissed at Riko--this was her house, too, wasn't it? Didn't she have any kind of say in who lived here? But it wasn't that. Not really. Riko was just so goddamn smug and had such a goddamn inflated ego. As much as Mercy wanted to leave, however, she knew Riko would call her out on being childish, and Mercy didn't want to give the vampire more reason to bark at her. (Ironic.)
"I don't know, Riko," Mercy said, exasperated, as she, standing, turned toward Riko and placed a hand on her hip. "You're the one that doesn't care about anything and doesn't have a sentimental fang in her body. What do you do to make memories?"

"You know," Riko started noticing that Mercy was more than a little irked after their conversation which was something that was without a doubt to be expected. "If you have something you want to say, now's the time to say it." Riko said turning to Mercy and tilting her head in that standofish sort of way. Riko was the type to say whatever she felt when she felt it. There was no point in holding back. That was just dumb. "As for how I make memories, that's simple really." She said, standing up from her chair finally, making sure that she had Elle nice and secure against her side. "I don't"(mmm steak, fresh out the packet, covered in blood.)

Mercy snorted and shook her head. "Of course you don't," she muttered under her breath. Initially, she had planned on ignoring Riko's invitation to say what was on her mind, but she was finding it hard to stop herself now. "Y'know, now that we have a child together, you can't just slap me in the face when I make a suggestion you don't like. You have to ******** talk with me about it, Riko." This wasn't about Delorna and the house anymore. This was about Riko recognizing she had been an a**, about establishing some semblance of equality in their dysfunctional relationship. Or whatever the hell having Elle in common made them. "We're partners."

(I sure did, and Riko doesn't much get along with anyone.) "Well what did you want me to say huh?" Riko demanded. "Yes, lets kick out our long standing roommate just like that?" Riko asked incredulously. "You think being partners means I shouldn't think a suggestion like that is a bit crazy?" Riko asked again, giving Mercy a look that stated just how insane she thought Mercy was being. "On top of that. You expect me to believe that you want Delorna gone because of Elle? Really? No, I don't buy that s**t. The fact that you think I would buy that s**t is insulting. If you got a problem with Delorna you handle it on your own, but you leave me out of your s**t because I'm not going to fight your battles for you. That isn't what this," Riko stated gesturing towards Elle in her arms. "Is about."

"Of course I don't expect you to go along with everything I say! But you don't have to shoot me down like that, without even letting me make my case," Mercy countered, fuming, her voice inching louder. "The way you responded was condescending, like I wasn't even worth your time. Yeah, well, even if you think I'm not, you have to at least ******** pretend, for the sake of the partnership." Ugh, and Delorna. I'm ******** fighting your battles for you, Riko, she wanted to scream. You picked up that baby, took her from the tribe. I don't have to be helping you. But then she would need to explain what she meant, and if she had to explain what she meant, Shiva would know. Mercy had already received confirmation via the pointed text messages that she was being watched. If Shiva found out Mercy was playing her, the werewolves would be storming into the house before she could throw the camera at Riko's head. (Which she also wanted to do.)
"Yeah, I do have a problem with Delorna, but what's really insulting is you thinking that's my motivation," Mercy said, folding her arms across her chest. "I know this is hard for you to believe, but I can, in fact, take care of my own s**t, Riko. Elle was the only one on my mind." Which was true. She had done it to protect Elle.

"Alright, fine." Riko said suddenly holding up her hand. "I'm sorry for being so condescending" she said very condescendingly. "Is just that when you first spoke, I thought that maybe you would be joking or something because what you proposed was honestly a bit crazy. But you are right, I'm being unfair. So how about this," Riko started, sitting back down. "You are doing this for Elle you say, well I can get behind that, so how about you go ahead and restate your offer, and I'll even hear you out completely before I react this time." Riko said smiling sweetly. "Go on, I'm listening. I promise. And once you are done, I'll see if it is worth it to keep on pretending"

Mercy's glare bore a hole so deep into Riko, it might've reached the girl's soul--if she'd had one. Arms folded over her chest, Mercy listened, unamused, to Riko "trying" to be fair. Damn this girl. <******** damn her. Over the past few days alone, Mercy had come to understand why werewolves and vampires hated each other so much. "It's for Elle's safety," she said simply, voice low, irritated. Riko wouldn't understand, though; it wasn't Delorna Elle would be safe from. And even if she had understood, something told Mercy that they had both reached a point in their conversation where neither of them were going to give. I sure hope you're ******** wandering the woods during next week's full moon, 'cuz that's where I'll be. Not to kill Riko. Just to... rough her up a bit.

"For Elle's....safety." Riko repeated slowly. Her eyes narrowed until they were narrow slits, in her scrutiny of the werewolf before her. Her eyes then shifted down to the toddler that she held in her arms. There seemed to be a quiet ticking between them, like the timer on a bomb Going on and on and on and on. Tensing her up as its detonation came closer. "What did you do?" She whispered now dangerously. She held Elle closer to her defensively, because Mercy's words confused her. She didn't know if she could trust the wolf now. "What the ******** did you do?"

Mercy was caught off guard by Riko's reaction. Her sudden suspiciousness caused the wolf's eyes to widen slightly and her heart rate to quicken. "What?" she asked, confused. Well, not that confused. Riko had reason to be suspicious, but Mercy hadn't expected her to make such severe inferences from her comment. Mercy had been waiting for Riko to make a sarcastic comment about how her dislike for Delorna was clouding her judgment. Now, instead, Riko was holding Elle close to her chest, like she thought Mercy was going to go full-on wolf right then and there and tear the child to pieces. "What are you talking about?"

"You said she was in danger!" Riko yelled not caring for the volume of her voice. As she glared daggers into Mercy "In danger of what? Danger from who?" Riko demanded stepping forward. "What makes you think this, and what the hell does it have to do with Delorna!"Not liking the loud noises around her Elle began to whine, and her whining slowly developed into tears, and while Riko wanted to stay angry, wanted to continue to glare into Mercy's soul. Her expression softened, and she cursed turning away from the wolf and giving her attention to the crying toddler. "It's ok, everything is ok. I got you, nothing is going to happen to you. Mommy's here, everything is safe." Riko soothed. Bouncing the girl as she spoke softly turning her back to Mercy so that having the girl in her sight couldn't bring her anymore anger.

A waterfall of expletives fell from Mercy's mouth, all whispered under her breath, and she looked at Riko. "Get Elle out of here," she yelled as she ran to the windows. She took a moment to study the outside; she didn't feel a supernatural presence yet, but they were coming. They were definitely coming. Glancing over her shoulder, she instructed Riko hurriedly, "Now! Get Elle out of the house and far away from here!"

Riko narrowed her eyes at Mercy not knowing how to act. She believed she should run, she could almost feel the danger coming now. But she felt so betrayed. She didn't know if she even trust Mercy to actually have her best interest in mind now. Mercy had hidden things from her, vital information that was crucial to her safety. Her LIFE was at risk, and so were Elle and Delorna's and if Harry wasn't dead already he could very well die now. Riko worked her jaw's slowly, before turning and running, barging through the kitchen doors and taking off, no need for a vehicle or any other means of transportation she was faster than anything she could hop into, and she had a head start. She had a goal in mind, she had friends after all, those who would harbor her, and would rather die before they let a uninvited wolf into their territory, and for now that list of uninvited wolves included Mercy. Riko skid to a halt, within the district where this all started, near the night club where she picked Elle up, speaking of she checked on the girl, who seemed to be more so confused than shaken up by Riko's mad run, which was a relief she was grateful that she hadn't hurt the girl. Moving through alleyways she made her way to the back entrance of a bard, and started beating on the door, blowing protocol at the window because there was a code to follow, a rhythm that her knocks required but she didn't give a s**t. "Who the hell is- What the ******** Riko?" Xian exclaimed swinging the door open, he clearly hadn't been expecting her. "I need to speak with Siobahn. Let me in." Was her reply, and after a moment's pause in which Xian eyed Elle closely before sighing, he stepped to the side and let her enter. "Siobahn is going to love this."
