"Me too." He murmured. He did have nice moments. More than he knew, and Chance likely never had. He felt bad for even comparing.

"But it's fine. Forget it." He murmured, fiddling with his fingers. Finally, he got up to take out the disk. Deus had a way of giving the hunters false memories and dreams of better times. It wasn't always a blessing.

Chance just gave Otto an easy smile, relaxing back into the couch. He was silent for a few minutes, turning thoughts over in his mind and contemplating them quietly, a little hum escaping him without actually intending.

His eyes strayed around the room, looking for a clock.

"Hey, do you mind if I..." Chance hesitated, and then decided to just ask. "Do you mind if I stay over? It's just easier to sleep when there's someone near, I think. If you're not cool with that, I totally get it, it's not a big deal."

He didn't mean necessarily right next to each other; but just having the presence of someone made it easier to remember that he was not alone in certain ways.

Otto blinked at Chance, putting the DVD back into it's case. "Yeah, I don't mind." He said after a minute. It wasn't as if the man was asking to stay a week or anything. He didn't feel apprehensive, did he? No, surely not. Not a big deal. It was fine. Casual. Cool. Whatever dude.

He realized he was still standing with the DVD case, shaking his head free of the white noise in his head before returning to his media shelf.

He looked somewhat relieved, Chance exhaling a little breath. The last thing he wanted was to make Otto uncomfortable, but having someone else nearby had turned out to work wonderfully well the last time he had slept, and that made it much easier when he attempted to fall asleep.

"I can stay on the couch," said Chance lightly, not wanting to put him on the spot.

"You can sleep anywhere you want." Otto offered. Otto himself wasn't sleepy yet, somehow. He was sure a few chapters of a book would put him out soon enough. He was suddenly hungry again. Or just fidgety.

This was dumb. He was being dumb. He needed to relax.

"Are you tired?" He asked conversationally, taking up the empty cans and taking them to the kitchen.

He gave Otto a studious look, attempting to figure out if he was being polite or he actually just didn't care. Chance tugged at the hem of his sleeve, pulling them down over his hands in an idle sort of gesture and leaning back on the couch.

"No," he said truthfully. "I mean, I'm relaxed. I'm not sleepy, but I think I could maybe doze off after a little while."

Chance rubbed a hand over his face and smiled a little.

"Am I making you uncomfortable?" he asked. "Seriously, you can be honest with me, I won't be offended."

"No, you aren't." He replied honestly. Otto was making himself uncomfortable. Why, he wasn't sure. Probably his reflexes; always attempting to keep him on edge. He fought it down as best he could with willpower alone. The Southern Comfort on the counter was tempting, but Otto didn't want to rely on it.

"Maybe I'm tired." He replied. Fatigue made him cranky, so he pretended that's why he was feeling fidgety. What time was it? They did just watch three movies, so it was pretty damn late. "C'mon. I got a closet of blankets you can choose from. Pretty sure three of'em got stars."

He beckoned with a wave of his hand, wandering into his bedroom to rifle through his linen closet.

It wasn't entirely convincing, but Chance wasn't going to push it. He gave a little nod and got to his feet, running a hand through his hair before sticking both into his pocket, ambling along behind Otto. "I do like stars," he said lightly, and then smiled. "Not that one could tell or anything."

Otto's room was made up of windows on one side that showed it was definitely sometime late into the night, nothing but darkness and a few scattered, watery lights here and there. A large bed - larger than Chance had anticipated - was in the middle, and the linen closet where the man in question was currently standing off to the side.

Chance stood where he was, peering curiously around without trying to seem too much like he was snooping.

"I really need to get promoted," he said with a laugh. "These rooms are a helluva lot better than the trainee ones."

"Not obvious at all." He murmured back. He couldn't imagine what gave him the idea that Chance liked stars.

"It sure makes all the pain and near death worth it!" Came Otto's muffled voice from within the large closet. Soon he emerged, holding a thick and large blanket, white with black and blue stars scattered across in clusters. Otto Graves had a tendency to collect and keep large amounts of comforters and duvets in his closet.

"N'like I said. Couch or bed is fine. The bed is huge."

He winced a little, but he understood the somewhat sardonic comment anyway, and Chance reached out to take the blanket from Otto, smiling widely at the stars printed across it.

"If you're sure, then, the bed looks more comfortable," said Chance agreeably, and he padded over to it, setting the blanket down and tugging at the sheets already on it. He didn't need to change or anything; he was already dressed in just a pair of sweatpants that had stars around the hips and ankles, and a comfortable, long-sleeved shirt that just had a smiley face on it.

After only a moment's hesitation, Chance climbed into the bed and tugged the blanket up around him, trying to make himself comfortable.

"Way more comfortable." Otto agreed. He'd made himself take the couch for a long while the month before. It was fine for sitting. Sometimes napping. Not so great for a good nights sleep. Especially a guy with insomnia like Chance.

Otto decided he wanted a shower first, collecting his PJs and a towel. "I'm showerin' first." He said aloud, leaving Chance to get comfortable in the strange bed. Otto shut off the light, revealing the night lights and glowing stars on the ceiling that glowed a calming blue. He knew CHance would appreciate the stars.

And oh how the shower helped. The hot water calmed Otto down and numbed his thoughts. It also made him realize he was pretty tired. After suffering five long yawns during the process, he finally shut off the water, got dressed, and came back to the bedroom while drying his hair. The towel was half-hazardly tossed on a chair before the blond flopped into bed. He wormed his way under his blankets, a hand dragging pillows closer.

Bed. Comfy, soft beeeeed~. He nearly forgot Chance was there.

While Otto was in the shower, Chance made himself comfortable, burrowing down beneath the blankets and letting the darkness of the room and the comforting glow of the stars ease him into a state of relaxation. The stars in general were a large help in keeping him to feel at peace, and he found himself lulled strangely easily into a half sort of sleep, drifting in and out to the sounds of the shower.

He felt the bed dip sometime later as Otto climbed in, and by this time Chance was in that state of half asleep and half awake, not entirely conscious or aware of much anymore except the fitful snippets of dreams that flitted in and out of his thoughts. He rolled sideways, shifting automatically and unconsciously closer to the warmth that was someone else; but didn't invade the space too much, instead curling halfway over in on himself, a pillow wrapped in his arms in lieu of another person.

It was a very nice bed. He decided it was way more comfortable than his own.

Otto had just come out of the shower. As such, he was likely a larger conduit of heat than normal. And of course, the man was not unthankful for the extra body in bed. It was still not something he wanted to rely on for his every day. Part of his self imposed rehabilitation into independence and grabbing hold of his individuality. He didn't want to cling to others more than he'd already come to do. But there was no shame in sleepovers now and then. And Chance was becoming a good and solid friend. There were few males he trusted. Gale was one. Actually, truth be told there were so few guys Otto felt comfortable just hanging out with. Talk to and seek advice from, sure. But.. Well..

This was nice.
