 Kratos continued on his way. He looked back at the other. "I do not have time to waste fighting you" He said. "I have things to do and I'll be punished...but if you really wish to fight, meet me tomorrow at Uzuikai mountain pond"

 "Fine, tommorrow then scum." Taini nearly growled it out, his anger was so great. All he wanted was to protect Tsukiko in every way he could. It was just in the gehaka's nature now. He bent and picked up his things, continuing to carve the waves.
The blonde gehaka had finished the wedding present the sleepless night before. He hadn't been able to sleep, after what had all happened with Tsukiko the day before... so he had moved on to the chairs and table Tsukiko wanted. Taini kept a wary eye on the other gehaka though.

Throughout all of it, Kratos remained calm and collective. He finished gathering the herbs that his mother wanted and sat on a boulder, staring at his reflection in the water. His ears falttened out. A mistake, that was what he was.

Taini was still but feet away from the other, and watched the look. Was the gehaka like this to Tsukiko because... he was considered a lesser son? All gehaka who had haka brothers were treated thus. Taini himself was the youngest of three gehaka... so he was treated less just because he was the youngest.
The blonde turned the wood in his hands around, to the other side and continued the carving. This piece would be done soon.

Kratos stared at himself for a while longer, before waving his hand through the water, breaking his image into ripples. He was a disgrace, born out of a forbidden love and for that he is looked down upon. Without a father to teach him necessary skills, he had to teach himself everything and was often beaten from lack of knowledge and skill.

"Is there a reason you hate Tsukiko so?" He had to ask, even as he carved with care into the wood. The detail would be grand for the chair the chocolate haka would sit in.
Taini had long ago gotten use to the bracer around his wrist. At first it had affected his work...but now it didn't. He loved to stare at the leather, as it reminded him of Tsukiko often.

Kratos was snapped out of his trance and he looked at the blonde one. "It is something that one of your standards will not be able to comprehend" He replied but then started anyway. "I was hated since the day I was born. My brothers all thought lowly of me, it didn't matter if they were haka or gehaka. But, Tsukiko was different. He treated me kindly. I cannot accept his kindness. That is why I do not like him"

"You cannot accept his kindness? Why? I am mistreated as well, the third gehaka son. All hopes rode on me to be a haka, because my mother cannot bare any more children. But I was a gehaka. I am beat as well, even by my brothers. Tsukiko was kind to me. The only one. But you cannot accept his kindness?" It made Taini sick to hear it. Kratos must have been the one dropped on the head.

"I told you it was something that you would not be able to comprehend" Kratos stated. "My father...was married to another haka but he still let my mother bed him. Because of that, I was born, as a mistake and my father was executed. I cannot except kindness fro I must bear the sins my father carried with him to the grave"

Well....that wasn't what he expected. At all. He had never even heard of such a thing... but he supposed it would have been covered up.
"Maybe I don't understand. But if you cannot accept kindness from your brother...would you accept kindness from others?" It was a thought. Taini would help him, and treat him as a brother if Kratos allowed. It was all the blonde could think of, and despite the slight maybe fight, Taini was willing to try.

Kratos shook his head. "I will not accept any companionship. The path that I've chosen is to continue on alone until the day that I die, which I hope is soon." He replied to Taini. He slid off the boulder and put the basket on his back. He started to beside the river, heading down stream, towards the direction of main street.

Taini watched the other leave with a frown. Now, he had no intention of fighting Kratos. The guy was just...depressing.
"I will not show tommorrow. I hold nothing agaisnt you Kratos." He yelled, then went back to his carving. He needed a nap....that much he knew.

Kratos stopped walking and looked back at the other. "I wish to duel you. When I win, it will be a reason for Tsukiko to hate me but if you do not wish to fight, then I will note force you" He stated before he turned around and started to walk again.

"I'm not giving him a reason to hate you. But I will spar with you." Taini made the compromise and picked up his things. He needed a nap soon, as he was tired from a long day, and a night before with no sleep. "Blunted swords then Kratos." He grinned.

"hn...fair enough" Kratos said. "meet me there at noon. I shall be waiting. Bring a sword, I promised myself that I woudln't fight with my hands after an incident" he told the other as he walked futher and further away.
