Sword was dumbstruck when he arced his sword down as Lucian turned into smoke. This ancient warrior is advanced. Sword could tell what would happen next, but from where? It won't end well.
"Damnit..."
He muttered covered by the dense smoke. It's hard to notice anything until suddenly a stab to the side and oncoming, relentless piercings, they went through by inches. Sword defended himself, but he is too slow, why? He only blocks few attacks provided. Hopeless. He tried the best he could and they kept going each one devastating and ruining the armor and chain armor.
"If only I kept the sphere."
Sword moved his hand forward to time Lucian's next move and grab him, but he can't do anything afterwards it's useless. Even if he did thoughts rang through his head. Lucian separated Sword from Nine, though his ears heard nothing outside the torment. Another laugh escaped his lips, drawn to his knees with arcs by pierces and torture that made the masochistic side curl in him while he endured. His endurance lasted long with the history of battle scars wielded. One hand placed itself on the ground, blood flowing downwards and dripping from every part of his body. To even the highest loss ever given, he hasn't died yet even through so much. Sword said as quiet as possible for only Lucian to here, head held high to eye him;
"I'll screw your dead wife too."
And laughed. It wasn't over to Sword, he couldn't do anything.

It was when Sword spoke that the fun and games ended. Lucian had clearly been angered. Each stab became stronger and each slash would cut deeper but Lucian hadn't let up. Sword must not have realized the full extent of Lucian's powers. As Lucian managed to block all of ones supernatural gifts, he also made the immortal, mortal. Sword could be killed, just as Nine was dying now. Lucian did not adjust his strategy because it was not failing him. Sword was not escaping, and in death, Lucian could have Dameon imprison Sword's soul. The torture would never end until Lucian determined it should and he never would.

When Nine had come to his feet an unseen force sen the numbered one hurdling across the room and into the wall, however the force then proceeded to wrap around nine and smash him into the walls before spiking him into the floor as a football player spiked a ball. Nine's body broke greatly under the force as broken ribs began puncturing internal organs. Nine coughed blood and rolled onto his side.

The attacks Lucian threw only gotten worse by Sword's stupid comment. The deadly stab after stab, the mortal slashes after slashes with each piece of his armor flying off stained in blood and he held on to his life only to keep Nine alive as long as possible. It was then he heard the man being thrown like a ragdoll and Sword sparked the pain and it must be stopped. In a casual throw, with all the strength and power he had from the feeling of wet concrete overwhelm his body, Sword threw his sword in all faith that it hit Lucian, but the blade also directs itself towards Nine. Next Sword fell, the horrid pain and flourishing crimson spreading the floor. The body of a horrible nightmare.

When Sword had fallen the fog condensed and reformed into Lucian's solid body. Lucia had been slightly curious as to why Sword had thrown his only weapon out of the fog but it became clearer when Lucian turned to face his son who now stood, his body shaking and Sword's blade in hand.Nine's internal damage was to great for the man to have any delusion of winning this fight, but he would not quit and he would not beg. Lucian's hands and sword were soaked in Sword's blood. That same blood had splatter up and onto Lucian's face. With a flick of his wrist he tore the sword away from Nine and took a step forward. "Stay down." Lucian spoke in an assertive tone as he swung his hand as if he was back-handing a vile servant. Nine's body was flung across the room. The young numbered one slammed into the corner of the throne room but he stood once again. When he did Lucian wasted little time in closing the distance between them. Lucian cast his own sword aside and brought a heavy fist, much like a hammer, down across his son's face. Nine fell to his knees but grabbed onto Lucian's arm. Pulling on Lucian so that he could stand. The King kicked his son's knee causing the boy to fall down again. As he knelt on the ground Nine realized Lucian was hesitating.

"What's.... the matter?.... This fight.... isn't over.... I'll kill you... and then the rest of... your army." Nine spoke through shallow breaths and half way through he delivered a light tap to Lucian's chest. To Lucian it was a light tap but to Nine, that was the total sum of all the power he had left.

"Stay down. Run away. Stop this madness and hide. Save yourself please. you are my son. Don't make me do this, don't struggle. Tell me that you will run. Promise me you will hide. Tell me that you can stop!" Lucian was pleading as he lowered himself to kneel so that he would look his son in the eyes. He didn't want this. He couldn't bare the thought of murdering his own son but Nine was not giving him any choice. Lucian was giving his son a way out. He was giving him an escape, Nine just had to take it.

Nine looked up at his father, with heavy and dark eyes. Then with a strained, but powerful voice Nine said "I will never stop." The words drained all the color from Lucian's face as he tightened his grip around the dagger in his hand. He looked into the eyes of his last son and then he drove the dagger into Nine's heart. Nine's body shook slightly and nine coughed only a little more blood before the spectral dagger faded into Nine's body. The Ancient One's heart stopped and cracks began spreading along his skin moving outward from where Lucian had stabbed him. A wave of power surged outwards through all the realms and Nine fell forward onto the floor. Lucian stood and backed away from his son's body as he began to crack. Tears began streaming down the Mad King's face and he fell to his knees.

The father, son, lover, mentor, savior, and outcast was gone. Nine had been slain.

Finally time to die.

"Just like him."
The reference unimportant he faded out anyway. Sword replied with his dying eyes fixated on Lucian killing his own blood, battles over. He won. Sword looked to Nine's departure. A spontaneous man of many great accomplishments. Anything other, irrefutable. Seconds later, the insane man passed.

TEN

Ten sat before the boundaries nine gave her, and every few seconds, she caught herself putting her hand out, to see if it would stop her. And it did. She couldn’t believe she was mentally doing this to herself, touching it every 30 seconds with anxiety, but finally, the moment came, when she went push her hand against it once again, but instead, her arm had become freed.

The rune had disappeared from her body, and she felt her body shake slightly, that same moment Nine’s did before death. He was gone—everything she had lived for was gone.

Ten had become emotionless, anger, that was all she felt. She wanted to destroy this life, the people here, the same feeling she had when she joined Gyouken the mage. Though, she tried to remember Nine did this for her and eleven, and no one else. No one else on this pitiful planet. She was bitter to the world, she felt she had no purpose any longer.

She walked through the halls of Valaria, and not a single being stopped her. Everyone had known what had happened, and not one army member dared to sting in her way.

Ten didn’t hesitate to walk herself into the throne room, not by any means, who was going to stop her? Anger fueled her power, it always had, and now would be the worst time for anyone to step in her way. But, anger, and a combination of sadness, and a whirlwind of emotions hit her when she saw her husband laying, dead on the tiled grounds.

Ten walked over to Nine’s body, she didn’t run, there was no hurry to help him, he was already gone. Kneeling beside Nine, she lifted his limp figure up into her arms, grasping him. She had cried, she had done a great deal of that, it was as if she didn’t have tears left inside her, just sadness as she looked down into her dead husband’s face, running her fingers over the cracks that formed into his flesh.

Her gaze went from Nine, to Lucian. She wondered what he would do, would he kill her, kill her as she held the person she had loved for more than half her life, dead, would he kill her, the wife he choose for his son.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lucian's tears had dried against his face yet he had not moved off of his knees. Instead the broken King remained kneeling on the floor only a few feet from his son's body. What had he done? Lucian hadn't wanted this. He had gone out of his way to keep his son alive, to protect those who he cared for, and now his son was dead. Murdered by Lucian's own hand. When Ten came in Lucian remained unmoving as he looked at his son's body. Lucian was breaking inside. The small fragments of peace and logic that he held onto were falling apart to reveal Lucian's true desire. They were breaking apart to reveal the true hatred Lucian harbored towards the outside world. Lucian blamed the world for everything. The world had corrupted the men who killed his wife, the world had corrupted him, his son, his entire race. Corrupted was a broad term but the dark and cruel world had forced them all to grow up too quickly. Lucian rose slowly to his feet as Ten scooped her husband's body off of the ground. The broken king looked over towards the entrance to the throne room where Eleven now stood. Eleven had seen the last few moments of the struggle and watched as his father fell yet he could show nothing. Eleven couldn't show any of his new feelings because he had a reputation to maintain. If people thought he cared, they would try to use it against him and he would not allow it. Eleven offered Lucian a slight nod and then turned his face away from the man who had killed his father. He turned away so that Lucian would not see the mixture of feelings that quickly flooded though Eleven.
Lucian himself had begun walking back up towards his throne in silence as his hatred began to build inside him. He didn't hate anyone in this room, he didn't hate Ten, or Eleven, or even any of the guards. Lucian hated the world and those who wanted to save it. Fire purified. Fire cleansed and now more than ever before, Lucian wanted to watch the world burn for taking his son from him. In time his anger would dull his emotions and his motives would shift again, but nothing could stop that this king had just become far more cruel. When Lucian reached his throne he dragged his hands along the blades that made the chair. He didn't want to sit in it. He didn't want a throne, or justice anymore. He just wanted his son back, but it was too late for that so Lucian sat upon his throne of iron and death. "Bury him, build a monument if you want, but do it in Valaria. Perhaps in the wilds. " Lucian spoke quietly and passively as he looked towards the floor. His son was gone and he couldn't change that.
TEN
Ten’s eyes stayed on her husband as she held him, she ran her thumb over his lips gently. She had never got the chance to kiss him goodbye before he left, it killed her, those moments before he left, and now, now she didn’t have words for how she felt.
Turning back, she saw her son Eleven, she could feel his emotions, the pain he held inside, it wasn’t more than hers, nor less, but different.
Turing back to her lifeless husband, she looked up from his corps. She stared at Lucian. She stared him in the eyes, she looked at the evil being’s pain through his gaze as he spoke. Ten, ten wanted to be hostile, she wanted to tell him to quiet himself when he spoke of Nine’s burial. He didn’t get to decide where Nine was buried, Ten did, Ten and eleven together would decide. But she realized anger wasn’t going to bring Nine back, nothing was—
Ten leaned her forehead against Nine’s as tears for a moment ran down her face. “They took your wife from you. And you—you took my husband from me.” Ten didn’t speak in an aggressive tone, she was quiet and soft as sadness leaked from her voice. “Our family, it was small, it had it’s problems, but we loved one another so much.” Lifting her head up, her eyes looked up at lucian. They were now missing an important part of that family, a strong piece that almost felt like the glue that held them all together. Ten wouldn’t go mad though, no, she promised her husband she would take care of their son, and she was going to do exactly that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lucian's gaze did not move from the floor. It didn't shift, it didn't waver, it just remained. the pain had numbed his body and mind. He couldn't be clever or manipulative right now. He couldn't use words to manipulate Ten or Eleven, he just sat there, on this throne of loss and stared deeply into the floor where nine's body had been. He didn't like how Ten acted as if she had been the only one to lose anything here. He didn't like how she was acting as if everything was Lucian's fault. It wasn't. Lucian had given Nine a way out, Lucian had given Nine the chance to leave, and Nine had said no. Nine's death was his own fault and nothing could change that. The only ones who could be blamed were the ones Nine was fighting for and he certainly was not fighting for Lucian.

"He came here for you. He came here to save you and the rest of this world. The world has taken my wife, and you have allowed it to take my son." Lucian paused as his gave shifted slightly to Eleven who had left the throne room to go somewhere he could be alone. Lucian then returned his gaze to Ten who stood in all her judgement but she was no better than Lucian. "You took my planet from me. You and your father. You took my son from me and I let you so that you and he could be happy. Look at what my mercy and kindness had done. Make no mistake. From here forward, there will be no half measures. I will not lose anyone else."

TEN

“My fault? My Fault?!” Ten raised herself with Nine in her arms, holding his body up as she stood. “Was it my fault when you and my father ripped me from my church, and forced me to marry a man I had never met, a man i didn’t want to marry in order to be apart of your ploy? I was innocent, weak and Nine taught me what life was, and Nine destroyed our planet because of you, and your dark and selfish ways. You took everything from us, from me and nine, and now you have taken everything from me and Eleven. Rather than awaking and loving your son with open arms, you started a rebellion, a kingdom against him and those he loved. You could have decided this wasn’t the way for you, you could have chosen to love your last living child, and the heir you have left, but instead, you blamed us and the world for your anger, you blame everyone but yourself for the things that have been done. No one can be blamed but you, for the dead man in my arms, the son you could have turned the other cheek, and taken death, but instead you choose death for your child. ” Ten turned from Lucian and began to walk farther from the throne and towards the direction of Eleven.

She stopped and turned to Lucian one last time.

“What nine did was a sacrifice, a selfless act, a selfless act you should have done for him, put your family before yourself. You have mistaken—Nine did not come here for the rest of the world, he came here for me and Eleven, because you possess something that can kill us—and he couldn’t live knowing he would have let the two people he loved the most Go. Even in my darkest time, i choose death before my son had to experience it. I told him to kill me, to save Nine. He refused. That is what a parent does. When I leave today with my husband and son, Eleven he will return to you, and rather then turning him away, you will accept him, and welcome him back to your kingdom with loving arms after he mourns over his father.” Ten turned her back to Lucian and walked towards Eleven. She had nothing else to say? What could she say? She could share her emotions, she could tell lucian how awful she felt, how she felt empty without her other half, but what would that do? what would anything she could say possibly do? No one deserved to have their spouse die, not even lucian, but he was too cold hearted to seem to care about how Ten felt, how Eleven felt, and their words would be worthless.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Do you think I want to be King? Do you think I want to rule over all of these cruel and selfish people who will always put themselves before others?" Lucian stood now and took a few steps down from his throne but stopped when he saw Nine's body still in Ten's arms. "This kingdom, these people, it was never about hurting him. It was never intended that he would have any involvement in my plans. I went out of my way to ensure he survived this war. I locked his away to keep him from the battles and then when he escaped I let him remain unharmed. I let him build the prison for me. I let him live in my land. Then you let him fight me. You let him come here to his death. You didn't stop him." As it spoke it should have become clear to Ten that Lucian knew far more than he let them believe. Lucian knew of the tomb,that didn't matter, the question was, how did he find out? And how had he known Nine was there all along. "I broke him, I did everything possible to keep him from fighting me but he wouldn't stay down. Then I gave him a chance, I begged him to run. I begged him to stop and return to you. but he didn't. He chose death over going back to you and living in peace." Lucian slowly migrated up towards his throne where he sat down once more. He was beginning to feel numb again.
As Ten spoke of how selfless Nine had been, as she praised him, Lucian cast a dull look towards her. "If you really believe that Nine died for you and Eleven alone, you never truly knew my son. None of us did and now none of us will." Lucian's words were true. Nine always had a plan, he was always one step ahead and when you felt he was a step behind he turned out to be seven steps ahead. So why would he simply walk into the throne room and accept death? If Nine knew he was going to die, what was his plan? What was his way out of death? Where was his escape? None of them would know, and few would even consider these questions. At least not yet, but soon, when minds developed and crowded bodies. When emotions ran dull once more, they would know what Nine had done.
]“And I begged him not to run—Good job king, for someone who wasn’t trying to kill their son, you didn’t succeed. Maybe you need to be over thrown.” Lucian knew nothing, he kept blaming Ten for letting Nine come to Lucian. She had no say in it, she was bound, she was stuck, and her son wouldn’t kill her. But she kept walking, she shook her head and ignored the Valarian king’s ignorant statements.
She kept her face emotionless, as she died inside, and walked towards her son. He would decide where to lay their father, she was going to let him choose.
"And for a wife who claimed to love her husband, you sure did a good job of protecting him." Lucian spoke the hollow words as Ten walked away. "Just remember you are a murderer far worst than I. I would be willing to bet you didn't feel half the sorrow I have felt when you butchered husbands and children. Innocent people. I may have killed my son, but I tried not to. I tried to save a man who's crimes were unmeasurable because I loved him and you let him die. You could have saved him and you know that don't you? That's going to haunt you for the rest of your life." But it will break me for what is left of mine. Lucian didn't say the last part. He let it linger in his mind where his agony built and buried itself. when Ten left Lucian would do something he should have done long ago. He would stop feeling. He would become the monster Ten wanted him to be and only because she was so convinced that he already was that monster.
Ten ignored Lucian at this point, Lucian had destroyed a planet, and Ten had destroyed a city, she felt there was no comparison.
Walking out into the hall, she called for her son with sadness, her voice was weak, and she felt like she was going to loose every ounce of sanity she had left in her.
Silas Thorn
User Image
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Idiotically Silas stormed into the throne room with his hand holding the hilt of his sheathed sword. He made a grand sweeping gesture with his left hand which evolved into a bow that Lucian waved off. Lucian could feel this man's intent. The fact that he was armed said enough. Lucian himself had yet to recover from what he had done to his son. It was still twisting him inside and Silas coming here to challenge him was going to be the final straw.

"I am here for your life." Silas said in his cocksure way, wearing his overconfident grin.

"You will leave now, empty handed, or you will leave in a bag. I have killed enough for this lifetime. Run from my throne room while I allow it." Lucian said from his throne as he slouched slightly in an uncaring way.

"Oh you insult me. They did not call me the viper during the war because I ran from fights." Silas said as he drew his sword and pointed it towards Lucian. Silas believed he could do this. He could kill a man he had never met before just to prove that it could be done. Everyone had been telling his Lucian would kill him. Silas wanted to test that theory.

"What is wrong with you people? Do you think I am some toy to be brought out and played with whenever you want entertainment? I am not." Lucian stood slowly reaching out as one of his guards tossed him a sword. It was then that Lucian felt the void and emptiness that came with having your powers taken from you. That was interesting. Perhaps this would be more than another mad man hell bent on self destruction. "You are an idiot. At least your head will look good when I mount it on a spike above my mountain."

Now that was a threat. Silas smiled in his sly way and took a defensive stance as he waited for the king to step down from his throne. The moment Lucian did Silas struck. Lunging forward with a quick and precise jab Silas found that Lucian had easily parried his strike.

Lucian was not amused when the boy lunged forward and so he easily smacked the blade aside before elbowing Silas in the shoulder. Silas grunted slightly but leap forward into a roll until he was back on his feet in another defensive stance. "You're so human." Lucian mumbled as his hatred of the breed began developing inside. Lucian advanced toward Silas swinging his blade downward in a powerful arc that Silas slip away from before swinging horizontally at Lucian's abdomen. Lucian recovered quickly enough to block the blow and the sound of clashing blades rang out around the throne room. For each quick jab and slash Silas delivered, Lucian countered with his own. The battle was fast paced and spread throughout the entire throne room as Silas found himself backpedaling to escape certain strikes he was not prepared to block. Lucian did not let up. His strikes were finding more and more force causing Silas to back up farther an farther until he couldn't back up any more. When that time came Silas dove forward, sliding past Lucian's slash as the mad king drove his own sword into the wall.

Silas got to his feet quickly and ran forward at Lucian who had secretly stopped trying to free his won sword and instead chosen to take Silas's. When the viper was close enough Lucian turned and round house kicked Silas's sword-arm aside before jabbing the viper in the stomach, armpit, and throat. Lucian finished his combination of strikes by drop kicking Silas away from him. Lucian rolled out of the dropkick and landed on his feet just in time to catch Silas's sword before it hit the ground.

As for Silas, he had been surprised by the combination of strikes and his sword had been pulled from his grasp as a result of his surprise. The viper stumbled backwards before loosing his balance and falling onto the floor. Oh he should not have brought his sword to this fight. He should have brought his spear. All Silas could do now was hope Nora arrived in time.
