"I'm Nova by-the-way," he introduces himself to Ignatius as he had been dropping by the others booth fairly regularly during the week, he wasn't in Amity yet but maybe he could get a few friends in the classes or at least break the ice with the students running booths. He picked up the poles, ready as he ever was for the surge of electric, that being not at all. One hand dropped the pole quickly and was going numb from the shock by the time the power subsided in the other one. He hadn't done so well today. "Looks like I've backslid."

Judas kinda thought it was weerd, how he was able to hang on with one hand and not the other. He still tried to cling on as long as he could. Which was barely long enough to mean something. For some reason, he figured, electricity just wasn't very good for him.

Yes, Arrakis was back. Again. He was trying not to let himself become too emboldened by his recent semi-success, but it did happen to reinforce his theory that his initial semi-success wasn't a fluke. A fluke and a rare occurrence weren't the same thing. Hopefully the booth-runner wasn't getting annoyed by how often he was showing up. What could he say--he was persistent! His smile to Ignatius was genial as he grabbed onto the rods again. "Aaand from the top," he couldn't resist joking.
As soon as the shocks started though, he yanked both of his hands back with another sharp curse and shook them out vigourously. "Alright, alright, be back later!" he managed around part of his hand in his mouth--which made his teeth tingle somewhat--as he flexed the fingers of the other hand to try to return any feeling aside from persistent tingling. He was half laughing, though, as he got up to leave and let the next person have their go.

The shocks hurt her hands, and Lou was just barely able to hold on. She rubbed her stinging palms together. Was it supposed to be that strong?

The poles were harsh mistresses today. Even prior winners who had won quite a bit were losing to their might, clearly no longer tough enough to handle it as they became tired from trying again and again.
One of the losers of the day finally introduced himself. The incubus was named Nova. Interesting name. Was he at all related to the might of a supernova? He was not showing too much mightiness today, but he was certainly amusing, that was for sure. "You have managed to win previously, so I'm sure you can win again. Just flex your muscles a bit!" Ignatius laughed at that. As if flexing would help... "My name is Ignatius, by the way."
Despite the electricity not being very good for Judas, he managed to win once again. That made his third win, didn't it? Ignatius grinned, going to grab a little puffball of a minipet along with the ticket, and handing it off. "Congratulations! You win a ticket and a minipet for winning so many times! I'm sure if you come back, you'll earn more tickets..."
Unfortunately, the last two ... also had trouble. Ignatius offered an apologetic smile to Lou--she was reacting very strongly to what he thought was not a major shock at all--and a cheerful laugh to Arrakis.

"Hey thanks!" Judas said accepting the ticket. He looked at the fluff a moment before very carefully stowing it in his loosest shirt-pocket. "I'm sure I could do better though, don't a lot of people do better?" The Roc was at least sure the booth owner could do better. He also kinda wondered if the boil was the source of the electricity.

Rhiannon walked up to this booth for the second time, vaguely remembering that there was self-inflicted torture involved. The reaper took both of the grips in her hands, anticipating the terrible shock... when it seemed to be turned off. Wondering if she was suddenly very resistant to electric attacks, the witch tugged on the handles experimentally, causing the short in the wire to give her one nasty thunderbolt that traveled from her hands all the way throughout her body; from the top of her head to her toes. She immediately let go, the attack of the device being SUPER EFFECTIVE.

So help him, Gabby was going to OVERCOME THIS BOOTH WITH HIS LAST BREATH. He grabbed and held on, despite how overwhelming his need to let go was. His second hand did even better, but when he pulled away, he realized his entire hand had turned to nothing but ghostly wisps. That was going to take forever to reform, but if he'd succeeded for it..
He was handed a ticket, and took it with his teeth, as both of his hands were numb. But it was no loot, and Gabby might have started to break a little at how badly he was doing at this game.

At the note that he could do better, the lightning elemental laughed. "I'm sure you could! If you want to keep trying at it, you should come back later."
Despite having won before, the ghoul who arrived next did not seem to have the same toughness she had displayed the first time. He shrugged, offering a, "Sorry! You can try again later, though!"
That poor ice dragon was just not doing very well with this. Upon seeing him arrive again, Ignatius actually adopted a worried expression, wondering how badly he was going to hurt himself this time -- but no, he was determined! He was tough! He made it all the way through most of the shocks and even got close to winning a little puffball!
... At the cost of his hands. Whoops.
Nevertheless, Ignatius handed over the ticket, with a, "There we go! Come back tomorrow and I bet you can do better." And maybe keep his hands in the process. Those were rather useful...

"Ive come back to try again, booth owner!" Feeling ready to give it her all. Taking a few breaths to calm herself. She quickly grabs the poles, she felt it. Like a tinkle going all the way up her arms. She felt it a bit more on one hand then the other. "D-did i make it?" She shook her hand that felt it the most.

It's his third time trying this game which proved...actually not-that love hurts. And the elemental already sneered while holding out the rods.
Alright...just hold it for a ZAP!
GOD DANGIT! That stung even harder than before! Rei dropped both of the conductors while cringing.
Did he got cheated somehow?

Nova returned the next day, "I shall conquer- Ow!" He dropped the pair of poles and stuck out his tongue. That had hurt and now both of his hands were half stinging in pain and half numb from the shock. "Would you believe me if I said I wasn't ready?" He asked, trying to sound innocent. Both sets of wings snapped out of their relaxed positions and then drooped nearly lifelessly, "No one ever buys my innocent act, too much of a terror as a Scareling." It had been how he'd gotten his common name, Nova, destructive little ball of chaos. His tail curled around and the tuft on the end landed on the booth with a 'thud'...
He was grinning though, obviously not put out too badly by the loss. His tail drifted across the booth and circled around the discarded rods, carefully sitting them back upright for the next player.

And here he was, back again, like he'd said he'd be. Arrakis possibly had a stubborn streak, at this point. How much did it take to move him past "determined"? He chuckled and nodded in greeting this time, figuring that he'd seen the elemental often enough by now that he didn't have to explicitly say hello to him every time. Nor did he waste much time once he was up there, grabbing onto the metal rods and preparing himself.
And he made it again. Barely. Sort of. Only this time, it was his right hand that began to sting and pinch long before the left. He managed to focus on his better hand for at least a little and try to ignore it, but he couldn't ignore the tiny twitches that hand was going through. The muscles visibly ticked and jumped under the skin, and he muttered something about how weird that felt. He pulled that hand off rather soon anyway, even if--like the first time--his other hand lingered considerably longer.
Rubbing them together, and digging the thumb of his "better" hand into the palm of the "worse" one, he shook his head in bemusement. Well, better than nothing, he supposed.

Lusine was doing her best to hold on to the electric rods, but it was proving difficult. She managed to keep them in her hands for awhile, but finally had to drop them. Her hands smarted, but not as badly has they had the previous days.

The lightning elemental watched the next batch of contestants arrive.
First was a returnee, the kitsune. The kitsune ghoul put her hands back on the poles after bracing herself, but she seemed much more able to tolerate it than she was yesterday. When she asked if she made it, Ignatius nodded, offering a grin. "You did! Congratulations! This is also your third win, so you should take this minipet along with your ticket. Take good care of him!"
The next two lost, one even miserably, but at least the incubus himself seemed rather light-hearted about it. "You don't seem very innocent to me, Nova, but that may not be a bad thing." He winked, before laughing at his own blatant innuendos.
The reaper was back, surprisingly enough -- considering he kept losing, sometimes spectacularly. Maybe he was trying to keep going until he managed to actually get his third win. He had to give it to him, the reaper was certainly determined, and determined was definitely part of being tough. Perhaps that was why he had finally won again. "Congratulations! Determination and toughness seem to have worked out for you. Have a ticket, and ... one of these little puffballs! Take good care of him." Or her. Or it. It was a minipet. How did one determine the sex of a minipet anyway...
The final arrivee actually managed to win as well! Happily, Ignatius handed her a ticket. "Congratulations!"
