  Kate looked at Nick,realizing how depressed he was. Of course he would be sad about all this but..she just had to do something. She can't just leave Nick all alone,maybe she can find a way to cheer him up. A sigh escaped from her mouth before she placed her hands back on her hips."I do hate you,but I just can't see you like this.." She admitted as she averted her eyes from him, she was used to see the annoying and flirty Nick so seeing him so sad made her feel bad."You know what? No." She said with a smirk as she took her phone out."I'm not going to leave you like this." Kate moved around the house until she found some speakers,she plugged her phone to the speakers then turned on a nice song.She spinned around then walked over to Nick,seeing his bare tattooed back.She rolled her eyes and grabbed Oscar from him."Let's go Oscar,I will take good care of you." She kissed the puppy's head gently and held him in one arm,close to her chest. After that she entered into the kitchen and came back to Nick with electric razor in her hand."If you won't listen to me then I will shave all of you head till you will be bald."She said before turning on the machine."Come on,get up you lazy bum."

  ╔═════════════❦ ═════════════╗ Nick's blue eyes shot open once the song Back in Black by ACDC began to play - a song that he was all too familiar with. The guy had practically grown up listening to them seeing as his parents were hardcore metal junkies. Suddenly, Oscar was taken from his grasp, yet he stayed on his side with the pillow clutched against his chest.... until he heard a soft buzzing sound coming from behind him. Kate was threatening to shave his head! And for all he knew, his legs as well! "Are you nuts?!" he suddenly blurted, practically flipping over the back of the couch. He landed in a crouched position. "Keep that thing away from me!" Nick got on his knees and peered over the couch just enough for her to see his eyes and his messy bedhead. He didn't want her seeing his unkept beard. Hell, he didn't want her in his apartment! "I don't understand you! One day you hate me, the next you're making out with me, and then you go back to hating me again, and now you're trying to get me to go back to work! Why?? I mean all I'm going to do is annoy and aggravate the hell out of you, right?? Do I not repel you enough? Here, smell me! I haven't showered in three days! I'm gross! You shouldn't want to be around me!" And she shouldn't! Why was she all the sudden so concerned for him?╚═════════════❦ ═════════════╝

"Are you nuts?!" Kate looked down at him,her lips curled into a smile as she tried to hold back the laughter.Kate moved a little closer so she could see his blue bright eyes and messy hair,someone needed a haircut or at least a shower. She turned the machine off when Nick told her that he doesn't understand her."You're stinky..And I do hate you because you act like a total a*****e sometimes but just so you know.There are times where you're really nice and caring." Kate said before sighing,is there a way to even cheer him up? "Look,I'm just trying to help you ok?" Kate placed down the machine and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear."I know I'm not important but as a friend..I really do want to help you."

╔═════════════❦ ═════════════╗ Nice and caring? Well, those were two personality traits no one has used to describe him in a very long time. Nicholas eyed her warily and watched as she put the razor down on the coffee table, slowly standing up. He gripped the back of the couch as he stood there. Oh, she wanted to help him, eh? He swallowed the lump in his throat and gave her a once over. "By doing what?" He questioned slowly, getting ready to book it if she were to attack him with the razor. ╚═════════════❦ ═════════════╝

Finally,Nick stood up but stayed behind the couch. It seemed like he was scared from her or at least from the razor."Well there are a few things we have to do.First,you need a haircute. I can do it and don't worry,you won't be bald." She said as she gently placed Oscar on the couch and let him rest there."Second,you must take a shower. Third,we have to clean this whole mess in your apartment and fine a way to cheer you up."Kate said as she circled the couch to move closer to Nick."What do you think?"

╔═════════════❦ ═════════════╗ Nicholas squinted his eyes at Kate as she neared him and explained how she wanted to help him. Well, at least she was offering him a free haircut. He would have to pay a good thirty bucks at the barber shop. He turned to face her when she finished and looked her from head to toe, lips pressed together. "I think you have an ulterior motive..." he said honestly. Apparently they were friends yet she hated him still. "...but, I'm going to trust you. If I even feel that razor touch my scalp, I will throw you out the window." Of course he wasn't actually being serious. Nick turned away and walked into the washroom, sitting on the edge of the bathtub as he waited for her to do her thing. He scratched his bushy beard as he sat there, looking up at Kate with bright yet pale blue eyes with his hands clasped in between his thighs. Clearly, he was not happy about having his hair chopped off, but it was for the best. "Do your worst..." he muttered.╚═════════════❦ ═════════════╝

Kate moved slowly towards Nick because he looked like scared cat,he watched every move that she did."I don't have! I'm here because I've been depressed like you and it wasn't fun at all."She said as she looked into his blue eyes,rolling her eyes at him."I will take that risk." She said as she shook her head to the side with a small smirk,once Nick walked into the washroom Kate grabbed the machine then walked into the washroom. He was already sitting on the edge of the bathtub and waited for her."I will." She said before she turned on the machine,of course she won't do a bad job.Kate placed her hand behind his head then slowly started to move the machine on his hair,she was being very careful to not touch his scalp.

╔═════════════❦ ═════════════╗ Before Kate began to work the razor through his hair, he took her in between his legs and hugged her waist keeping his head still for her. Nick closed his eyes as she pushed the razor through his hair. It was a calming motion and the slight vibration was quite soothing. He felt like he could fall asleep right there and then. His hair fell in short strands down his back and into the tub, some falling on his broad shoulders. A few even fell onto his nose and it tickled so he gently blew them away.╚═════════════❦ ═════════════╝

Kate was surprised when Nick took her in between his legs and wrapped his arms around her waist, she stayed silent and let him do that.After all he was depressed and Kate doesn't want to make him feel bad,she wants him to be happy again.She focused on his hair until she saw that some of the strands fell on his face and shoulders. Kate brushed her free hand on his shoulders so the strands will fall into the tub.After some time she finally finished and bent down."Done,now let me take care of that little beard."She grabbed some shaving equipment and made his beard look a lot better and less messy. In the end she was finally done,she placed all the stuff away and took Nick's hand. Kate walked with him to the big mirror so he could look at himself."What do you think?" She asked,raising her head to look up at him.

╔═════════════❦ ═════════════╗ Kate moved onto his beard after she finished with his hair. He pushed his fingers through his dark hair, realizing that it was really short. He just hoped it wasn't too short. Nick tilted his head back a bit once she began to trim up his beard. She took his hand and lead him to the mirror where he stood in front and exhaled softly through his mouth as he pushed a hand through his hair, angling his head so he could see all areas of his face. Beard looked good. "I think I look like an a*****e..." he mumbled, shoulders slumped as he sat down on the toilet. Nick was never good with change. He only lifted his bright blue eyes to look up at Kate giving her a sad puppy dog look, head tilted to the side a bit. ╚═════════════❦ ═════════════╝

Kate watched Nick,she wanted to know if he likes his new haircut or not. Somehow he seemed upset about the change,she turned to look at him when he sat down on the toilet and raised his charming blue eyes at her. Kate looked down at him,mostly admiring his adorable expression.Seriously,he looks so cute! "Well at least it looks good on you." She shrugged her shoulders then walked to the door."Now go take a shower." Then Kate exited from the bathroom and went back to the living room to watch Oscar.

╔═════════════❦ ═════════════╗ "Think so?" He asked, pushing a hand through his hair once more. Nick attempted a smile when she told him to get a shower and looked at her from behind for a few moments until she dispersed from his sight. He had switched her phone with his own and let the Barenaked Ladies play. About fifteen minutes later, Nick came waltzing out of the washroom with a white towel wrapped around his waist. The shower had really helped settle his thoughts and he was even a singing along to the song "If I Had $1000000", pointing at Kate when he saw her sitting on the sofa. "If I had a million dollars, I'd buy you a K-Car - a nice Reliant automobile! If I Had $1000000, I'd buy your love~" he sang, winking once before he continued into the kitchen. "If I had a million dollars, we wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner. But we would eat Kraft Dinner. Of course we would, we'd just eat more. And buy really expensive ketchup with it. That's right, all the fanciest Dijon Ketchup. Mmmmmm~" Nick began to pour himself a glass of orange juice, doing a cute little dance with his hips.╚═════════════❦ ═════════════╝

After Kate checked if Oscar was fine,she looked around the living room. It was really messy and someone needed to clean this apartment. She picked up some empty bottles and threw them into the trash can then threw away all the empty bags. It seemed like he didn't eat a normal meal and only ate snacks,maybe she should prepare a meal for him. Once she finished with the cleaning,she sat beside Oscar and petted him gently until Nick walked into the living room. The only thing that covered him was a white towel around the waist,Kate looked up at him then looked back at Oscar.Nick changed the song and Kate listened to it quietly,smiling a little bit when Nick started to sing along with the song. He even winked at her, finally the happy Nick was back. It was good to see him like this.Kate left Oscar and walked into the kitchen to see Nick."Hey,when was the last time you ate dinner? Can I cook something?" Kate asked,tilting her head to the side as she looked at him.

╔═════════════❦ ═════════════╗ Nicholas looked over at Kate when she came in and put the orange juice container back in the fridge, raising the glass up to his lips with raised eyebrows when she offered to cook. "I don't know what you would have to work with," he began. Nick opened up the cupboards and took out various types of pasta, spices, sauces, breads. In the fridge were vegetables and fruit. Okay, so she had a lot to work with. "You can cook so long as you allow me to help you." He smiled warmly and leaned sideways against the counter, towel riding dangerously low on his rather defined pelvic bone.╚═════════════❦ ═════════════╝

Kate looked at him then looked at the various of pasts,spices,sauces and breads. She could actually make a lot of things with this,and probably he had vegetables and fruits. "I can make pasta with delicious sauce and some salad." She said with a smile,thinking about Nick's offer. So she can cook if she will Nick help her."I don't need a lot of help but ok." She shrugged her shoulders and searched around the kitchen until she found a pot."But first,wear something." She said,lowering her gaze to look at his towel. It was almost falling down so he should wear some pants. She went to the sink and filled the pot with water."You can start with cutting some cucumbers and tomatoes."
