▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Following Shira towards the table that had the drinks, Kain picked up a bottle of what appeared to be liquor and poured it into a medium-sized drinking glass, along with some sort of weird colorful mixture. Kain obviously retained his adoration of liquor and such, from his past life as well. With the glass in hand, Kain stood next to Shira and took a couple of sips, listening to Shira as she spoke. Smiling, Kain would remember more than just that party, he remembered many parties, but the one in particular was when the two had officially become partner. "I believe we got into an argument at almost every single one of them." he teased, though it was definitely true. Taking another sip, Kain continued to speak. "But, I really enjoyed them, whether I showed it or not. Then again, I believe the reason I enjoyed them, was because I knew you would be there. You, who at the time, was still getting over the loss of your previous partner, while trying to form a bond with a savage like me. Truthfully, I found you odd and somewhat intriguing, at first. Which only made me more interested in you."

Taking a step back, Nariaki bends his body forward in a bow fashion before speaking up. " Forgive me for making you jump. I'm Nariaki Scarlet, sorcerer and manipulator of fate. She stared at the girl for a moment before a kind smile appeared on her face. She patted Bridget on the head softly. "If you ever want to stop by my territory, for training or even just because, feel free to do so whenever you would like," she said, trying to comfort the girl. "I would like to introduce you to my children anyway, I am sure you and them will be good friends."Death glanced at Noire for a moment as she seemed to calm down Nox then he looked back at him. He relaxed slightly as Nox seemed to no longer have much of an attitude with him. "It is alright... I am still trying to realize that he is gone," he replied. His gold eyes shifted to Nox's hand as he offered a handshake before looking up at him again and shaking Nox's hand with his own. Victoria's expression brightened even more as Nariaki introduced himself and said how he knew her mom. "Nice to meet you! I am Victoria!" she said with a smile. ▬ ▬ ▬

As the two shook hands, Nox's eyes narrowed slightly, as he determined just how powerful Death was, well physically, due to the grip of his head. "In any case, now that he is gone. I would like to try and honor his memory by becoming of use and aid to the current Death and the DWMA." Nox stated before smiling. "I hope that the two of us can get along in the future and cooperate as....well, as your father and I did." Nox would then reach over and place his hand on Noire's shoulder. "Now then, if you'll excuse me, I believe the wife and I should go and meet some of the other noteworthy people here." Nox had found himself interested in some of the "younger" individuals there.

With the mood between the two men at ease, Noire smiled, planting her lips against Nox's, as if a reward for picking the right choice. Her eyes softened on the Saint, with a warm smile. There would be more than just a kiss, but that would be another story.
Her eyes drifted back at Lord Death, it was admirable that despite all what happened he kept his professionalism before his own gut. That was something to be praised. Certainly the successor of the Shinigami she once knew.
With Nox Bidding farewells, temporal or not, Noire smiled back at the shinigami.
"Thank you for having us in your party. I do hope you enjoy the rest of the eve."
Noire giggled. The more she looked at Lord Death, the more she could see the resemblance he had with the previous shinigami. Which filled her with nostalgic feelings.
As such she would wait for Nox to lead the way. Her arms embracing his figure with no intentions to let go any time sooner.

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Drinking some more liquor, Kain would let out a small laugh, as Shira mentioned him being a bit of a jerk, but still rather cool, back then. "Well, back then, I was going through a little bit of an emotional crisis and admittedly, I took some of that out on you." Kain stated before glancing over at Shira. Whether it was the fact that he had been chugging down a lot of liquor or the fact that he still held some feelings for Shira, Kain found himself unable to stop staring at her. He had thought that he had finally let his feelings for her go and moved on, but he still couldn't shake it, something about Shira, just kept pulling him closer to her and the alcohol wasn't helping him either. Suddenly, there would be a change in music, it was much slower and intimate. Was fate trying to pull them together yet again? Was the universe trying to give him a chance at redemption? No, Shira probably had a boyfriend or at least moved passed him. Despite all the chances being there, Kain just couldn't bring himself to do it all over again. "Y-you were pretty cool back then too." Instead of asking Shira to dance, Kain chose to continue the conversation.

In fact, I still have that to this very day." Kain admitted before taking another sip of his drink. By now, a lot of the people there had begun dancing with their significant other. Staring down at his hand, Kain found himself shaking, which he thought was rather odd. Was he nervous? Was he afraid? That couldn't be, he was now a fiercely trained and deadly mercenary, he shouldn't be afraid of anything. With one last chug of his drink, Kain would smile and steadily hold his hand out towards Shira. "W-Would you like to dance?" he finally asked.

"I don't think that we've ever danced before." he noted, just as he placed his free hand around her waist and held up the one that was holding onto Shira's. Kain, for the lack of a better term, was clearly more knowledgeable and talented than he used to be. He is also a little more aware of his surroundings and his own feelings. With him and Shira in an elegant stance, Kain would begin to move his feet back and forth, taking the lead. "I...I hope this is good. I'm not that good of a dancer to begin with." he added, but judging from what he was doing right now, it was clear that Kain at least knew what he was doing.

"I hope you're not just saying that to make me feel better." he teased, as the two danced around the room. To Kain, the more they spoke, danced, the more everything else seemed to fade away, until it was just him and her there, dancing. Staring down at her, Kain, would feel his heart pump faster. He was no fool, he knew exactly what it was that he felt, but whether or not to at on it, was a different matter, altogether. "Shira, ever since we reunited, I can't stop thinking about you." he would suddenly say, out of the blue. "At first, I sought to ignore. Knowing all the pain I brought you, I didn't want to enter back into your life, especially knowing how toxic we were for each other, but the moment we met, all of that doubt and fear, went away. I wanted to forget you, to move on, but I can't. I just can't." Kain then twirled once more before embracing Shira even more. "I've grown as a person. I've learned more about myself and the world. However, despite how much I've grown. Despite how much I've gained, there is one thing that will always remain true." Kain stopped dancing then and stared deeply into Shira's eyes. "Not matter what happens. Either in this life or the past, my feelings for you, will never change. Even if you're moved on and have somebody else. My feelings will stay the same. I still love you, Shira." Kain had finally owned up to his feelings and now he would have to face rejection or acceptance.

This was something he knew he would have to address, something he would have to do, as a man. Though, Kain had been expecting to be rejected, after all, he had been gone for a long time and assumed that during that time, Shira had found someone else. However, to his surprise, Shira would not only accept his feelings, but return them as well. Deep down, Kain was happy, truly happy, though he did his best to contain his joy, he couldn't help but to smile. As she asked if he wanted to continue trying to be together, Kain said nothing, almost as if he too, were thinking about everything. Suddenly, the man would lean down and gently place his lips up against hers, kissing her. Pulling back, Kain stared down at Shira, still smiling, "Does that answer your question?"
