Giving up entirely on that card, the girl turned away and hurried down the path to find another card that would be more willing to lend her supplies. Finally she found one that seemed to be dozing against a flush of flowers and the girl quickly snatched the bucket and brush up before it could wake and take the items back. Once she was far enough away not to rouse the card, she cackled with her success. Time to paint roses! With a happy hum the girl set about slathering white over the red petals, initially unsure if the white would properly cover the deep natural color of the flowers but quick to learn it did. She began to hum a little louder, though she did get unnaturally upset by finding one rose she painted was a fake, before she continued on. Finding the roses proved the most difficult as they were hidden among thorns that sought to p***k her poor hands, but Tacel got a whole seven roses painted before she had to take the tiniest of breaks. "I feel I should make a song of this, but I would not want to appear overly cheerful in front of enemies..." After a small sit down, the girl popped back to her feet and continued forth into the maze to find some more roses. It probably would not do her any good to take any with her, so she left them on their branches, but because she was feeling particularly helpful she painted a handful more than she really needed to. Once done, she took a leisurely stroll back to view her work, quite pleased with herself. At least until she dropped the bucket and brush back off with the card she'd taken it from only to find he had awoken. Nod was not really one for menial tasks, and it was with something resembling resentment that he followed the guard's jab to the supply cabinent.
Paint. Of course.
Paint, he soothed himself, could be meditative. But he was already feeling out of sorts doing all this walking and running and now they wanted to put him to...to...he could barely think it. It almost put him in a swoon. Christof, he could do it. Or Calder. Or even Defile, anyone-
And the paint can was heavy.
