Post 6 Healing Tents When another prentice, the young woman from earlier, started focusing on making the salves, Uquin smiled at her thankfully, nodding sympathetically. Blood and..guts... he'd never really dealt with the latter, but he had helped sew up wounds before. Blood was something he was comfortable with - but he'd never seen a massive wound before either. "Just do what you can - I'm sure you'll be better at that salve than me." He expressed with a soft huff of laughter. Uquin blinked, then turned his eyes away respectfully when the sage's wife entered the tent, letting them have their farewells - it... really wasn't his business, even as he turned over the sage's words in his mind.
Only when Zuri had left and Biroki had once again resumed his work, and murmured those soft words did Uquin look back at him. If he'd be spending the war in this tent with these people, he wanted to have a trust in them - and despite not knowing much about Shifters, and being a bit nervous about meeting new races, he felt that on this point they could all get along. "I... don't think so." He admitted, reaching to retrieve a palette from where it was rolled in the corner of the tent, rolling it open on the newly cleared space in the tent.
"My family is back home - probably. But I've ... met some people I wouldn't want anything to happen to, either."

Sawenah: Post 1
Sawenah perched in the limb of an overhanging tree to watch the commotion below. She had never seen so many armed folk in her life, which posed somewhat of an intimidating sight to her.
When she heard of the approaching enemy forces, she didn't know what she could contribute, but she figured there would be food and shelter. And if there was food and shelter that she could take advantage of, she would definitely aid however she could. Sawenah wasn't exactly trained in any combat, but she was nimble on her feet.
"Scouting..." she muttered to herself, overhearing the Leaf Earthling speak, "I could probably handle that." Holding the branch from which she perched, Sawenah leaned backward, flipped, and dropped to the ground. Making her way through the crowd of warriors she hovered in the general area of the man whom was gathering scouts and hoped for some direction.

Mella post 4 healers tents She was so glad that Biroki seemed alright with her taking on the mixing. The encouragement of the leaf boy made her blush. “Thanks. I am more used to making paints so making slave shouldn’t be too bad.”When Biroki’s important person came in she found herself looking at Uquin more so as to give them some space. So this was a prentice who was dedicated to healing. She felt a bit jealous about someone who had a set path that was so accepted and well known. Perhaps someday art would be that way. She looked back to the slave determined. She would make some images of this war that would help show others what was needed. That was she came after all. She had met so many people that hoped wouldn’t be out in the front lines yet she hoped even those she didn’t know would be fine as well. “I understand all that.” She whispered to herself. BarAmal post 4 to the healers tent~ BarAmal cursed his luck when someone called him out on his injury. He looked at the prentice who was coming toward him. From Zena most likely. “Right. Thanks.” He had been going to head toward the tent then change directions at the last minute but of course his new friend decided to follow him. He gave him a look and chuckle shaking his head. “Hardly a tree simply decided to shake my hand on the way down with a bit more force than needed. It doesn’t look to bad I think. See the bleeding is mostly stopped already.” He held his hand up and while the bleeding had slowed it certainly hadn’t stopped yet though the pressure he was exerting with his other hand did help quite a lot. BarAmal looked at his hand annoyed how could he hold his bow steady if his grip was slick with blood. He really would have to go to the healers.

Chandra Post 4 Looking to his brother he felt a smudge of pride in his brother calling out Kennet like that. After all why would you want to say those horrible things out loud? It was bad enough that those thoughts haunted his mind, but voicing them felt like he would make them come true. And the last thing he wanted was for anyone in his family to not come back. When Samoset voiced questioning his sanity he had to wonder just how much this Kennet had. Then he was saying words that made no sense to him. Aisha? Who the heck was that? Did he say it was their 'great mommy'? Why would you call your mom by her first name? Knowing very little of the Alkidike race beyond they were bug like, with their strange eyes and antenna. "I don't know this Aisha ...but people are going to die...that is what a war does. They don't go out and have tea...we can just hope that our families aren't those who do...." Chandra trailed off, once again not wanting to say the words out loud. Saying 'die, death' once was enough. Releasing his brothers hand if only for a moment he quickly clamped it with his other hand. He was finding that his hand was beginning to sweat. Looking to the two girls who seemed less annoying than Kennet at the moment sighed slightly. Stubborn as he was he didn't want to hold anyone's hand even though his brother suggested it. Holding out his hand to either of the girls as he was not going to do it for Kennet or Samoset he looked away from them while doing so. "Aysun is right...we should get out of the way..."

Jerarda Post 4 Though she wanted to spend more time with Rishima, to see him and his new friends interacted it looked as if she wasn't going to get a chance to do so. It had been so long since she had been separated from Rishima, but he had grown so much int he space they were apart. No longer was he the little timid 'sister', he held rank, used his weapon and now...had others to protect. Looking over to where Vollerie stood she wondered if she should leave her here with them. The younger ones should work together to proctect themselves and there was a strong sense in her to go it alone. Old pride rose to the surface as she knew she could handle just about any situation thrown at her. Besides, she should go talk to Yansa. Right? Giving a sigh she cuffed Rishima on the shoulder rather hard, as if to tease him for his obvious fretting over the hybrid. She found it strange...but at the same time couldn't comment. Once the war was over perhaps she could interrogate Gerraden. Until then... they would just have to make sure to keep each other alive. "You kids shouldn't have to fight in this war." The Alkidike complained, although she was older it wasn't as if the others were that much younger than her. Rolling her shoulders she double checked her hand wraps making sure nothing was loose before she went for her spear. "I am going to see if I can talk to Yansa...I have something I need to discuss with her. If I am not back before the war starts...keep each other alive alright?" Jera stated with a firm nod of her head before she gave Rishima another firm crushing sort of hug. Removing herself she went to go find their leader, perhaps she could turn this war around after all...though she highly doubted it. It would be easy enough to find the alkidike leader, find the largest gathering of her sisters...and there she'd be. Impatiently she waited to be recognized, after all this was the woman who gave her her first rank. Gerraden Post 4 Why did that woman have to be so touchy feely with Rishima? It was almost like she was doing it on purpose, though that couldn't be it right? Still as things were unfolding he felt that his heart was getting heavy. Ray was going off to scout? They would soon all be fighting in this war, but would they be separated? Would they be kept together? They all had melee weapons... Wishing he had a moment to say a proper goodbye to Ray he sighed and then bristeled when he turned to find Jerarda hugging Rishima once more. Wait! That...that was his job! About to protest he stopped himself. He was an adult..and this was a war they were going to fight in. Besides she had let go and was going to leave them for a bit. Perhaps they wouldn't see each other until the end of the war...if there was an end. How long would this war last? "Well I know we should probably stick together and try to keep a eye on each others backs right?" He was looking directly at Rishima, though he did look to the others that was with them.

[Ikkio -> Samoset, Kennet, Ikuri, Aysun, Chandra -> Around] Ikkio scoffed inwardly at the boy's worry. Lost? She didn't get lost. Not really. When she wandered off, it was by design because she liked to not be bored.
She didn't think she would be bored today, though. She gave Kennet a sweet smile. "What a good idea!" she said. Two boys wanted to hold her hand and Ikkio could see all sorts of fun to be had with hand-holding.
"Hmm... Ikuri?" she said, managing to not smirk, "Whose hand should I hold?" It wasn't a question so much as a way to say LOOK IKURI IM GETTING MORE ATTENTION THAN YOU. Though, of course, both girls were getting equal attention. But to Ikkio, she was always, always, at the center. Always.
[Hijil -> Herself -> Assembling battlers] Hijil closed her eyes as Rastian left, His words, and the words of the leaders, echoing in her head. So. It began.
She took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her gauntlets on her hands and the responsibility that they brought. She was a guard, and there would be lives in her hands.
She didn't feel like she belonged to any one nation anymore. That she was a shifter did not mean anything to her, beyond her skin, eyes, and crystals. She had lived alone so long, surviving off the fruits of Jahuar and fleeting humanoid contact, she didn't know where she was supposed to call allegiance to.
But it didn't really matter. All the nations of Tendaji were allied. She simply had to fight for the people. All the people. And, with her strength, keep them free to follow their own paths.
She stood up, resolute, and, silently, walked to the leaders to join the crowd of warriors awaiting orders.

[Ruelash -> Iroia -> Sparring aww yes] If Ruelash was the sort of guy who thought about such things, he'd be intrigued by the mirror image of himself that he could see in this other person. But the thought never crossed his mind.
He circled as well, gauging her a little. Dual blades. Good stance. Fence = Boundary, need to use it to get to her. These were not so much thoughts as assessments, instinct and experience combined. Ruelash was not a thinker. If he had to use his brain, he would fail.
So he used his arms.
Face intense, He vaulted the fence, keeping a grip on his blades and twisting to land to the side instead of directly to the front, letting his momentum carry a blade forward, towards the young woman.
Normally, in a fight against a female, he would not take the first strike. Somehow, though, she didn't count, in his mind.[Dyakida -> Doing stuff -> Weapons tent] Right when Bhima left, things began to pick up for Dyakida in the weapons tent. Warriors dropped by to pickup their weapons, archers picked up arrows, assistants ran to and fro, delivering essential warmaking items to the people who needed them. Runners with arrows and runes spread around the camp, supplying those that needed them.
Dyakida could not make deliveries, and she was stuck on weapon duty. She felt her heart begin to race as she tried to keep up and remember which textured ID tag went to who. It was a swirling sensation of chaos... and fear.
Soon. Too soon. The war would dawn.
As suddenly as the chaos had started, Dyakida found herself unoccupied, the stream of warriors picking up their weapons stemming. Now it was just delivery. She sat back, resting, as she felt Peyla awaken next to her.
"I hope..." she began out loud before falling silent, listening to the clanging and running and chaos around her. She hoped she could speak to her other friends soon.

[Kaalnia -> Aminah and Ethelfleade -> Around] Kaalnia didn't like to feel rushed, but that was how she felt. She was used to being laid back, so this felt like her skin was itching all over her body. Stupid tasks, but hey at least she was useful instead of puking and miserable. Kaalnia counted her blessings.
Like this one. "Wha? Really?!" she said to Aminah excitedly, "You know her?! Do you know where she is? I gotta get her to Dyakida before..." she turned to stare at Ethelfleade.
"Huh" she said, puzzled. What did she mean by 'having one of the people you were looking for find you'? Nobody had found... her... wait...
She turned back to Aminah, shocked. "Wait. Wait, YOU'RE Aminah?!" she exclaimed, putting her hand on her shoulder, "Seriously?!" first Bhima and now Aminah?! If only finding people were usually this simple.
"And you're both fighting. Damn." she shrugged, "I'm not. Brie - my sister - wants me to stay behind and keep Dyakida company..." she returned to the important priority subject at hand. "So you need to go see Dyakida, like, now, before you have to go out there!" she said, giving Aminah a shake. And, as if it just occurred to her, she broke away from shaking aminah to give herself a smack on the head, "And, crud, that means I gotta hurry up and find the others!"

Finnley: post 5: Natsu, VivekaFinn smiled at the two of them. They were both so nice, and so in love. When Natsu started talking futures, it made the young girl pause for a moment. "I don't know what's in store for my future...I thought I might try healing...but if I have to try to heal people during wartime...I...I don't know how I'll even manage." Her voice was full of fear. Fear that only increased when the leaders started talking again. She scooted closer to the two men, and when tears started welling up in Viveka's eyes, she stretched out a hand and placed it gently on his knee. "He survived his illness...and he-he's a monk so I'm sure he'll be fine." She looked all around her as the hustle and bustle increased as people started reporting for duty. "I'm scared." Finnley confided, her voice barely a whisper, but her eyes were wide and fearful.

Kelina: post 4, Sauron & LasarraKelina smile kindly as Ray went to report for duty. The awkward-ish hug was endearing to Kelina. She thought it was awesome that they both found their shifter boys, of course she had to mentally laugh at herself for thinking this. But when the elders spoke, that laughter turned to fear. No...no...she hadn't thought of that. Her grip tightened on Sauron's hand. He had realized it too, it's when he started giving orders to his little sprite. "You listen to that too, Nibby. I may send you to keep an eye on Sauron if I think things are looking bad." She looked fearfully at Sauron. She didn't want to lose him as she just got him! Fearful memories of that one day in the forest with Lasarra came back to mind and made things all the worse. "I..Sauron..." Should she tell him? What if it was the last time she would get to see him? No. She must not think like that. She would see him after the battle and tell him then. Letting go of his hand, Kelina threw her arms around his neck in a big hug, always careful of her bow and quiver. "You come back to me now. I don't want to have to go looking for you. Try to find Yaholo...try to find someone you know to fight alongside so they can watch your back if I can't." She stepped back and grabbed her sister's hand. "No matter what, you're coming with me." She said defiantly and clung to her sister's side.

Ethelfleade: post 6: Kaalnia, AminahFleade couldn't help but laugh, this girl was amusing, hopefully they could talk more after the battle was over. She grinned at both the girls, until the elders started speaking again. Her grin faltered a tad. It was time to get her game face on! "I really hope you find them! If I run into anybody with those names I'll send them to this Dyakida person for you! I suppose I should go offer myself as a scout. Rastian...Yaholo...um...Rishima! Okay, I got it. I'll try to help find them for you. It was nice to meet both of you! Be safe and fight hard." She said before turning away. The names repeating in her head so she wouldn't forget as she made her way towards the person who said they were in charge of scouts. "I'd like to offer myself up to be a scout."

"Hmm, you probably should get it cleaned, the bark could have insinuated into the wound and you don't want that." A few bandages and his would should be okay, Kiyelt didn't envy him the pain though, nothing like fighting with a stinging hand...maybe they had some salve that numbed cuts, perhaps he should look into that before he himself got shredded. "So where did you come from to get here? I was in Jahaur when the call to arms finally came." Kiyelt post 2

He wrapped his arms around her and leaned down to bury his face in her wonderful hair and just breathed in the scent that was hers. He murmered in her ear, "I don't want to leave you.. but I'm afraid they would notice me accidentally shooting people on our side if I were 'trusted' with a bow." He smiled as he was scolded. At least Lasarra would be with her, they could watch each other. He half smiled because he had wanted to sick the big alkidike mix on her, since as a defensive attacker he should be back here, however all would be chaos once the fronts engaged. He pondered who else he knew.. just that iceling he had seen a while ago...Takoda..if he was even here and Hijil. Kiyelt was the only one he had seen. He so wished he could stay back here with her, his heart was breaking. So he simply took her precious hand, kissed it, then slithered off before he used twine to tie himself to her so he wouldn't loose her. Sauron post 2

Iroia snarled and span narrowly avoiding the blade and thrusting her own blade at him at the end of her spin. He was fast, she narrowly missed and fluidly moved into another stance dancing away from him. Hmmm. This was going to be much fun. She grinned and wiggled one eyebrow, in a silent, come on and get me. (post 3 not counting)

[Not Counted][Ruelash -> Iroia -> SPARRING WOOO] Ruelash's grin returned as the young woman dodged his blade. She was fast. She was good. This really would be fun! He crouched, circling again, assessing her stance intuitively before he ran in, holding himself low before he pounced at her, blades ready for a downward, fanglike strike, one of his favorite techniques..[Biroki -> Prentices -> Healers Tents] Biroki nodded, taking out some herbs he recognized and setting them aside. "As have... As have I." he murmured, taking the next batch of salve off of the fire, passing Mella another set of herbs. "Here. For the next batch." he said, giving her a pleasant smile. "Do... you have someone out there?" he asked, making sure she mixed the salve in the right proportions.
