Aslinn had powered down her laptop and packed it up. When Cody asked if she was ready she smiled and said “Yea I’ve got plenty of clothing back home. My work I save in two places; on my desktop at work and on a flash drive so I can work back home if I need to.” She fished her car keys out of the bag and waited for him to signal that he was ready. She would make sure to alert his aunt and give them her contact information should they need to reach Cody; once that was done she’d make a pit stop for breakfast then start the drive.

Aslinn had driven him by his aunt before getting breakfast and getting them non their way. She made some small chat but not much. The village was nestled deep in the woods and it was sometimes tricky to return once you'd left. At some point they'd switched to a lone dirt rode that soon became covered with trees. Close to twenty minutes later she's pulled the car and parked it in a dirt lot shrouded by trees. She'd instructed Cody to grab his belongings and follow her. The remainder of the trip was made on foot and after about five minutes she led him onto a foot bridge until they'd reached a seemingly Asian inspired village. The village had anthro's much like Tera roaming about some guised as humans others simply free form.

As soon as they had entered the town she'd led him past curious onlookers and headed straight for the largest house. While all the houses hung low to the ground to remain covered by the trees most had safely been expanded into the deep underground. The village did have modern amenities but whatever it could harness from nature it did. As they strolled the village Aslinn asked him "what do you think of this place"

Aslinn watched Cody and she sighed when he commented on the village. as soon as he asked about accommodations though her face wet blanket as she realized she forgot and figure that out. after pondering it for a moment she finally settled on something. "You'll stay in the guest bedroom." She didn't want to put Cody outside of the house since she knew other anthros might be confused. Aslinn looked at Rose before saying "can you make sure the guest room is set up, and also make sure its got extra blankets." When rose left Aslinn looked at Cody before she decided to tell him a few things. "If you want to explore the town feel free whenever you want, just make sure to return by sunset, also the kitchens fully stocked. If your hungry just try containing the kitchen mess." She didn't want him to feel awkward so she offered him the ability to explore the town alone. however for his own safety she wanted him back before sunset.

When he marveled at the guest room she chuckled a bit before telling him "my rooms actually not much different, a tad smaller but then again i don't have the en-sweet." When he took his charm off she smiled a bit until steps could be heard making their way towards the guest room. No sooner than Aslinn turned around a gray haired woman appeared in the door to the room.



She didn't look quite old enough to be Aslinns mother, but it was her. She had aged well and her human guise reflected it short of the gray hair. The woman gave Cody a brief up and down once over before she spoke in a rather odd tone. "Aslinn i wish you'd have called then i could've made something for our guest." She spoke in such a way that made it seem she were happy to have company but yet irked by her daughters lack of respect for the household.

Aslinn stiffened at her mothers odd tone and her small insult before she regained her normally calm composure and spoke. "I'm sorry mother however when i made plans for this trip only hours prior i didn't think to call. If anything my mind was focused on everything but that. Also it's his first time to the village i figured i'd show him around for a bit and we could try something local." The way Aslinn handled her mother made it clear that they had very conflicting personalities.

Aslinn's mother watched Cdoy bow and then speak. She calmly stood there as if amused by his behavior. "nonsense you are a guest in the village and deserve to be properly welcomed." However when Aslinn responded the way she did her mother's face grew quite blank and unmoving. She didn't intend to let Cody see her get mad so she spun around before telling Aslinn "That's fine, however if your going to be doing that then i'll make breakfast in the morning." She seemed like she had something else she wanted to say however she kept her mouth shut simply out of respect for Cody.

Aslinn's mom didn't really intend on sticking around much longer she waited a moment before she spoke in a rather serious tone "just remember your to return before midnight and there is to be no sleeping in the same bed" She truthfully hadn't thought about saying something but she hoped to make things awkward; since she'd pieced together Cody's scent and knew about the pact. Once it was all done she left and made her way back to her room.

let her mother talk and groaned. She stood there and once her mother finished talking about food she sighed before she spoke "Thats just fine mother; but you really needn't go to all of that trouble" As soon as her mother mentioned sleeping in the same bed her face went deep scarlet. When her mother finally left the room she looked over at Cody before speaking softly "i-i know we left in a hurry this morning so i was gonna get cleaned up and change. If you want feel free to take a shower and change; the nights hear can get pretty warm." She didn't have any idea on how to combat what her mother said; it only made her stomach knot up thinking about it.
