Background Color: idk some blue color that isn't too dark?
Other Colors: gold and white and black for ink? I DON'T KNOW
Design: Maybe a quill with with some ink on the tip and then a huge drop/splatter of ink over the design on a side like someone spilt ink on the pin?
If anything I suggested looks bad or doesn't fit or you have a better idea, feel free to do whatever you want xDD

Design: Ok I kind of want to give you artistic freedom for the most part on the colors/placement/etc. I do know I want maybe headphones, or a headphone. Something to do with music haha. Maybe some swirling shadows idk ... just make it look good based on his abilities/appearance? D;
