Adrian was cautious about the supposed praise. He couldn't put his finger on what seemed familiar about the woman as he was absolutely certain he'd never seen her before. Ivory shifted her gaze to the girl, her eyes seeming to glow in the dim light of the waxing moon that had not yet reached its gibbous phase. "Both of you are brave and talented for attempting to face down the undead," she said quietly.

Lillian was still looking at the woman, all while not breathing, however she soon took a breath and coughed some as she did so. 'She thinks I'm brave...? I'm not exactly the bravest person in the world... I mean I'm terrified of spiders for crying out loud... And the only thing that I'm talented at is swimming...' she thought to herself, fully unaware that the woman was telepathic.Roxy decided that she'd move, but when she did she went right up on Lillian's bed and lay right across Lillian's lap, still staring at the woman.

Ivory cocked her head very slightly, the movement so subtle it was very easily missed even while staring at her. "You'd be surprised how some of the most mundane skills can end up having the most startling and useful skills at the strangest times," she said quietly. Adrian cocked his head before he spoke slowly. "Do you know someone by the name of Ivory Malinov?" he said quietly. He saw the woman tense, her eyes locking onto his as if surprised.

Lillian wasn't sure what was going on, though she wanted to find out; however, she just couldn't muster up the nerve to speak. 'Speak you fool... I have to say something... Though I can't... Stupid shock of it all...' she thought, almost as if she could not even think due to shock. Since she could not speak all that she could do was watch and wait for the feeling of shock to fade, even though she wasn't sure how long it would take for her to shake the feeling. She noticed that the woman had tensed after hearing Adrian speaking and Lillian held her breath, waiting, wondering if there was something bad going to happen. From past experiences with some of the more competitive swimmers on the opposing swim teams someone tensing up occasionally led to a fight; even if only verbal, however, she was terrified that this could potentially end up to be more than a verbal argument, seeing after what all she found out to be true that day.
Ivory tilted her head. "You know you can breathe sometime this week," she said with amusement, her gaze shifting to Lillian before flicking back to Adrian. "So, who told you my name?" she remarked idly, as if it didn't mean anything to her at all. Adrian stumbled backwards, almost falling over the foot of the bed when Ivory spoke. This was the last thing he'd seen coming, he mused as he unknowingly stumbled over the chest at the foot of Lillian's bed. Before he realized it, he'd fainted from surprise and the loss of adrenaline.

Lillian noticed the woman looked over at her and this caused Lillian to almost have a panic attack, however, she calmed down after hearing what was said. She took a breath, though it was very shallow. She let her eyes drift from Adrian and this woman that was now known as Ivory, or from what had been said; although she did not know if she was going to trust anything, yet. Her eyes finally settled onto this Ivory character just moments before they darted over to where she heard a thump. "Oh my goodness! Are you all right?!" she asked Adrian, not knowing that he'd fainted; all before she'd jumped from her bed to check on him and followed by her dog. "He's out cold.... again..." she mumbled, feeling bad that Adrian tripped over the chest that she had at the end of her bed.
She didn't know what to do; however, she turned to Ivory and barked. "This... This is your fault! If you'd not have come here and startled us half to death by hanging outside my window none of this would have happened!" She did not know whether or not she was treading on egg shells or not nor did she care, though she felt that she had to blame someone for this and Ivory seemed like the perfect outlet.
Ivory shrugged, either not noticing the accusation or ignoring it completely. "It is the one who tried to attack here that led us here; had he not been in the area, we most likely would have never met at all," she said with a slight shrug. She didn't care about the accusation, nor did it bother her at all. She'd heard, seen, and done far worse than anything a few irritated words could do.

Lillian hauled an unconscious Adrian onto her bed and then turned to Ivory. "That thing that was outside my house was the reason you scared me half to death?! What was that thing anyway...?" she asked, turning to Ivory. She felt Roxy jumping off the bed and moving beside her, though she pushed the dog back, telling her to leave. There was a reluctant whimper from the dog, but she did as she was told and left the room. "I'm assuming you'll be leaving now? Since you probably have more important things to be doing other than scaring people by hanging outside their windows?" Lillian asked in a half mocking, half irritated tone; her eyes narrowing some.
Lillian looked at Ivory and listened to every word that was said. She was confused and lost when vory started speaking in some other language; however, she was able to wrap her mind around what was being said again after there was a translation given. There were words forming into questions in her mind and she was about to speak them, however, she was unable to gather them all in the order she wanted them in her mind before Ivory vanished. She moved quickly to the window, but there was no sign of the woman that had been there only moments ago. She cursed herself for letting Ivory get away, although she doubted there'd have been any way to keep Ivory there. 'I hope that there wasn't any sort of connection between that woman and Adrian... Or I'm so dead... I mean if he knew her name there has to be some connection...' she thought to herself, pacing back and forth in front of her window.
Adrian groaned softly, his eyes fluttering as he had unknowingly released the illusion around him, revealing the thin scars on his body as well as the slightly more tanned skin. His thick, curly black hair was back down to his lower back and streaked with navy, dark gray, and midnight blue. His eyes had also reverted to the dark navy-indigo color they naturally were rather than the unusual glowing silvery white color they had been in the vampire's presence.

Lillian continued pacing around her room, musing to herself over things that she knew she wouldn't have any control over. She knew that there'd have been no way that she could have kept Ivory there, though she wished that there would have been some way. She thought of how she had gone off at her and thought that may be the reason that Ivory had left, so she mentally scolded herself as she paced. Her pacing came to a stop as she once again looked out her window. She did not know who this Ivory person was, but Lillian thought that it was her fault that Ivory had left. "I shouldn't have gone off at her like that... Maybe she'd have stayed a bit longer so that Adrian could have talked to her... But I don't know if she would have or not... Why do I always yell at people when I'm scared...? And then they usually leave... I should just keep my mouth shut sometimes..." she said aloud, blaming herself for yelling and not thinking about Adrian being in the room, and the chance that he may have heard her.
Adrian tilted his head. "Hey, at least you let out your stress. I usually don't, unfortunately," he said, not bothering to put the illusion back up. "Besides, if I'm right about Ivory, they wouldn't have stayed longer than necessary anyway. I sometimes instinctively get feelings about people, which was how I knew you were kind, if a bit insecure," he said with amusement, half teasing her.

Lillian stasred out the window, still mentally scolding herself for yelling when she heard Adrian. She jumped slightly and yelped softly as she turned around. "I know that I let out my stress I guess, since I don't like bottling it up because it usually ends badly. I eman the worst that could happen would be me yelling, though I still don't like getting angry with people. I hope that you're right... I really wouldn't want to be the reason that Ivory left..." she said, pausing, before she spoke again. "You could tell that without knowing anything of me before I took you in after I found you in that alley?" She never knew of anyone that was like that because she mostly had to deal with people knowing her just as the girl who was spoiled and rich and they never gave her a chance. And even if she did manage to get people to believe her she had to struggle for that. Never had she met anyone that would find out that her father was rich and would treat her like a normal person; however, she was not going to breathe a word of this and ruin the only chance that she had in having someone that didn't judge her before they got to know her.
Adrian sighed. "Hey, I looked down when I landed on the fire escape, though frankly I didn't expect the ladder to snap off beneath my weight and drop me like a ton of bricks flat on the back of my head," he said with a shrug. "Besides, csitri, I know a little bit of what goes behind the shadows," he said quietly, unconsciously using a Carpathian endearment that translated as 'little one' for Lillian. He shifted his arm, forgetting the silver-on-black dragon tattoo curling around his forearm as he glanced out the window where the glass was cracked; he could see, looking closely, the silvery steel core of his arrows glittering in the moonlight as it flickered through the clouds.
