"Its a journal of sorts." Lilith admits, blushing slightly as his comment but allowing Lloyd to lead her off. "A woman needs a place where she can record her thoughts and stuff without fear of it being read by other people. You might think of it was a diary. And hey... why you trying to read it anyway?"
Lilith couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her but she gave it little thought as her mind was otherwise distracted by how handsome Lloyd looked in the moonlight.

"I think I deserve to know a little if I'm writing in it. " He gave as an answer. Lilith didn't look so bad herself, than again, Lloyd thought she looked great all the time.
It was time for the festival's main even to get underway. Everyone was told to look into the sky and be amazed as the moon slowly turned red as blood itself.
At this moment, Lloyd turned away, his eyes were tearing blood.

"Well you know the parts you've written for me..." Lilith replies with a sly grin.
"Make me wonder if this is all magical or if there is something natural about this..." She comments staring up at the moon like many of the villagers, not noticing Lloyd's blood tears.
Taking note that Lloyd turning away, she nudged him with her arm.
"Everything alright?"
Receiving no answer, she gently gripped his chin and turned him back to face her where she got to see the blood tears for the first time. "I assume that is part of this... event?"

"My part in the event anyway. It's my reminder, of what I am. The monster they see, that feeds on the will of battle. I'm sorry you had to see me like this."
He wiped the blood from his eyes and face with a cloth and smiled softly, as he didn't want any of hers or anyone else's pity. He gently wrapped an arm around her and gently pressed her to his body.
"Are you sure you want to see where my story goes, Lilith? You still have a chance to turn from me..."

"We're only human...sooner or later we gotta break down." She would have returned his hug but the most she could do thanks to her injured arm was wrap her good arm around his waist.
"And of course... this is far more interesting than any book the library at the temple could hope to offer. Besides everybody needs a guardian angel of sorts, I'm yours and you're mine." Lilith answered with a smile.

"Then I must have the most beautiful guardian angel I could ever ask for." He said with a returned smile of his own. Not caring what happened, he planted a soft kiss on her lips. It was a now or never situation and he chose now.
"If you are as committed as you say, you may have to leave the order. They won't understand, celibacy and the like."

"I'm hardly in the condition to break that particular vow..." Lilith stated with smile. "But should the time arise for that, I shall leave the temple and pursue the life of a wandering paladin. In the meantime I don't think theres anything against this..."
Pulling him back to her level, Lilith returned his kiss with one of her own.

Lloyd was genuinely surprised by her answer, let alone another kiss. She would follow this through with him? That was great, he was happy, and at the same time upset. The Blood Knight knew what she was throwing away by this decision. The stability the temple offered as a home.
“I can wait.” He said with a smile, not a moment sooner after letting her go, Keith finally managed to catch up with them.
“Lilith! Troy! I knew you would be alive. The temple has sent me to search for your whereabouts.” He said to them, he was clueless to what just took place. “You have taken a turn for the worse, perhaps I can heal you?”

Lilith jumped a little as Keith made himself known, had he been a few minutes earlier she would be singing a different song.
"I was beginning to wonder if the temple got my message," Lilith said, turning to face Keith. "And its far less damage than I was expecting from a dragon, but thats a tale for another time."
"Have you advanced far enough in your training to do such healing?" Lilith asked cocking an eyebrow at the young paladin.

Keith pound a hand to his chest and bowed to Lilith. "I believe I can. I'm not as affective as you, but I should get the job done." He said to the female Paladin. He place his hands on her arms and began to pray, in moments her arm was slowly being patched up.
"Well, what do you think?"

Sliding her now healed arm free of the sling Lilith began to flex and twist it about, running the limb through its full range of motions. After a moment of this, she nodded in satisfaction.
"Not perfect but it will do considering it was partly healed to begin with."
Balancing herself on Lloyd's shoulder, Lilith dropped the crutch and muttering a prayer under her breath healed the torn muscles of her leg. Once mended she ran it through its motions as well.
"Much better." She said with a smile.

Lloyd crossed his arms and looked at the sky. "I guess we can go back now. Nothing much else to see here. We should get some rest to set out in the morning."
"I agree with Troy. The council awaits your return, Lilith."

Lilith nods in agreement as she picks up the fallen crutch. She would of course return it to the townfolks who'd lent it to her.
"We got rooms back at the tavern available for use till then. Keith can take Troy's room and Troy can sleep on the floor of my room." Lilith stated as the group left the small hillside and headed back into the town proper. With Keith's back to herself and "Troy", Lilith gave the blood knight a mischievous smile.

"Oh damn it, right as it was gettin' to the good stuff the chapter ends." Roxanne complains, flipping back and forth between pages of the journal as she looked for evidence of torn pages or any other sign of tampering.

Lloyd caught Lilith in the corner of his eye and turned way to blush. That was the first time he saw her smile like that in particular. He could only wonder where she was going with this...
Well, he wouldn't have to wait much longer...
---------------
"What were you expecting to see?" Shrugged Eric, assuming it was the more risque topics. "Maybe its in the next part of this book."

Flipping forward another few pages Roxanne shook her head no as she briefly scanned the page.
"It changes back to Lilith's handwriting now... And I wasn't expecting to 'see' anything, I was just hoping for a... little more meat on the bone." Roxanne explained. "Then again with the book in the paladin's hands once again, I imagine those words never made it anywhere near paper..."
