Maddy slowly opened her eyes, peering around her room. She grew disappointed as she realized she was still in this nightmare of a place. She stretched and slowly sat up and then froze as she noticed Matthias sitting on a chair against the wall, both eyes closed.
"Is he asleep?" She thought.
She began to slowly rise out of bed. Matthias made no movements.
With a smirk she began to make her way towards the door, completely silent. She reached for the door knob to open the door and then--
"Don't even try it." Was the voice behind her.
She nearly jumped ten feet as she turned and noticed Matthias standing right behind her.
He pushed her to the wall, his arm pressing against her throat.
"You will learn quickly not to bother trying to escape while I'm on watch."
"You-You're always on watch!" Maddy managed to say, attempting to push the red-eyed man away from her.
"Exactly."
He grabbed Maddy by the neck of her shirt and threw her back towards the bed.
"Stay."
Matthias sat back down on his chair.
Maddy glared at him, her red eyes looking into his with a deep hatred.
"Someday I'm going to kill you."
"Like to see you try, demon."

"Someday I'm going to kill you.""Like to see you try, demon." "Meoooowwwwwwwwwwwth." Kasumi's Meowth said in greeting from the dooirway, accompanied by Ren, Kasumi, and Ren's Zigzagoon. "Zaaaaaagooooon" said Zigzagoon. " Good morning. Did the two of you sleep well?" Ren asked Maddy and Matthias.

Matthias shrugged.
"Eh, I don't really sleep much."
Maddy cast him a glare and then turned to the other two.
"I... slept. That's about it though. Hard to get a good nights sleep when you have an idiot watching you 24/7."
Matthias crossed his arms and cocked an eyebrow at Maddy.
"You know, I could lock you up in your room for the day for the stunt you pulled earlier."
"Whatever."

"I... slept. That's about it though. Hard to get a good nights sleep when you have an idiot watching you 24/7."Matthias crossed his arms and cocked an eyebrow at Maddy. "You know, I could lock you up in your room for the day for the stunt you pulled earlier." "Whatever."" Are today's plans just to stay inside?" Kasui asked Matthias " Is the boss still planning our next mission, or is it ready" " The past few days have been pretty boring compared to the Volcano mission" Ren acknowledged.

"As far as I know, Archie is still planning the next mission."
Suddenly, there was a call on Matthias TADS. He answered and after a few minutes hung up.
"Apparently there's a leak in one of the labs downstairs. They need assistance 'cause Water Pokemon keep flooding in through the leak and preventing repairs."
Maddy shuddered at the thought of going downstairs to a room slowly filling with water.
"You guys can go. I'll stay here."
Matthias roughly grabbed Maddy by the arm.
"Like Hell you are."
He turned to the other two.
"Gonna help? It's one of the few times you'll be allowed to enter the labs."

Ren asked " Lead on and we'll follow."

Matthias lead the three of them to a nearby set of double doors. He unlocked the doors, revealing a staircase that lead to the lower levels of HQ.
"Under no other circumstances will you be allowed down here. We have lots of projects in work down here."
"Yeah, like tort--" She paused as if in pain and simmered down.
Matthias proceeded downstairs. At the end of the stairs his feet met with knee high water.
"Well, they sure took their time telling us about this... Seems like the leak is already pretty far gone."

Zigzagoon had climbed onto Ren and Kasumi picked up her Meowth once they reached the watery area. " The objectives are simple. Find any wild Pokemon and knock them out or capture them, just as long as they can't mess with our equipment." Kasumi guessed.

Matthias took three Pokeballs and an empty one out of his pocket and gave them to Maddy.
"Each of you take out two wild Pokemon. Catch one if you desire." He commanded. "I'm gonna help with the repairs."
Maddy pocketed her Pokemon and the empty Pokeball.
"You're really gonna trust me to stay here?" She asked.
"If you leave, I will find you and kill you."
With that, Matthias ran off.

[Got impatient and double posted]
Maddy ran down the corridor until she found her first target; a Buisel.
"Go, Piplup!"
Buisel started the fight off with a Water Gun, spraying Piplup with a weak jet of water. The attack did not phase Piplup whatsoever.
"Piplup! Use Drill Peck!"
Piplup charged forward and struck Buisel with it's beak in a powerful corkscrewing motion. Buisel staggered backwards a little and then retaliated with a Sonicboom, doing a set amount of damage to the little penguin.
"Use Bide!"
Piplup stood it's ground and braced itself. Buisel struck with Aqua Jet, rushing forward with blinding speed and ramming Piplup hard. It then spun around and slammed Piplup hard with Aqua Tail. Piplup didn't have much fight left, but it unleashed it's Bide attack, striking with an immense amount of power. Buisel fell over, unconscious.
Matthias was working hard with the other scientists to patch up the hole.
"How did this even happen?!"
The other scientists just shrugged and shook their heads.
"Idiots!"
Maddy recalled Piplup, as he was too tired to fight again, and continued forward to look for another Pokemon. Suddenly, a Wingull swooped down from above; a battle commenced!
"Go, Su!"
Maddy let out her Larvitar. Wingull struck Su with it's wing, dealing a low amount of damage.
"Su, use Rock Slide!"
A volley of large boulders were thrown at the Wingull, dealing a ton of damage. Wingull just barely hung on and countered by squirting Su with a jet of water, hitting the little green Pokemon hard.
"Finish it off with Crunch!"
Su jumped forward and bit Wingul hard, dealing a powerful blow and finishing the battle.
With a sigh of relief, Maddy recalled Su and went off to find Matthias and th others.

MaddyMage Matthias took three Pokeballs and an empty one out of his pocket and gave them to Maddy. "Each of you take out two wild Pokemon. Catch one if you desire." He commanded. "I'm gonna help with the repairs." Maddy pocketed her Pokemon and the empty Pokeball.
"You're really gonna trust me to stay here?" She asked."If you leave, I will find you and kill you." With that, Matthias ran off. With those instructions, Ren and Kasumi rushed ahead and into one of the side laboratories where a wild Crabby and wild Corphish chasing around some Aqua scientists who were on a raised platform. " Use headbutt!" Ren pointed at Corphish, and Zigzagoon leapt off Ren's shoulder to the raise platform to obey. Kasumi pointed at Krabby " Use payday!" she ordered, and her Meowth jumped from her arms to the platform as well. Zigzagoon's headbutt struck Corphish, and Meowth's payday showered Krabby with cois. Neither attack was particularly effecting, though it did draw the attention of the wild Pokemon away from the scientists and towards Zigzagoon and Meowth, and the scientists made their exit from the room. Corphish and Krabby both tried to attack with Bubblebeam, so Ren and Kasumi quickly decided their next ordered " "Thunderbolt!" Ren ordered his Zigzagoon. "Thunderbolt!" Kasumi ordered her Meowth as well,and the two electric moves tore through the bubblebeams and knocked out the two water types. "Shaaaaaarrrrrrr." a pair of sharpedo's swam into the room, and created a surf, violently tossing a lot of water at Meowth and Zigzagoon, the force of it making them faint They chose the wrong day to only bring three Pokemon each with them. Since their Abra's had a type disadvantage versus the water and dark type Sharpedo, they sent out their Eevee's instead onto the raised platform while Ren and Kasumi sought safety atop a desk in the corner of the room. " Toxic!" Ren ordered as the Sharpedo's circled the Eevee's on the platform. " That's brilliant. Use Toxic too" Kasumi ordered her own Eevee, and as the Sharpedo's surfaced again, both Eevee's spat up a toxic goop and struck the Sharpedo's, inflicting both with a poisoned effect. The Sharpedo's, however, jumped out of the deeper water and used bite on the Eevee's, which were seemingly in a lot of pain, and the Sharpedo's had no intention of letting them go. Ren and Kasumi quickly recalled theirEevee's and sent out their Abra's. They had some time to think up strategies while their Eevee's were out, at least. " Energy Ball" Ren ordered. "Charge Beam!" Kasumi ordered Ren's Abra used a grass attack and struck one Sharpedo, and Kasumi's Abra used an electric attack to strike the other, but the Sharpedo's kept coming. Ren and Kasumi, in instinct, brought out their flutes and their strange coins, which were glowing. They blew into their flutes, and a Pokeball emerged from each of their coins, and from each of those Pokeballs emerged a Pokemon. Ren's new Pokeball had a Seel inside it, and Kasumi's had a Piplup, just like Maddy's. Without waiting for orders, Piplup and Seel leapt high into the air, creating a blizzard in that room which froze the Sharpedos and completely incapacitated them. They saw no other wild Pokemon around, so they recalled their Abras and the Seel and Piplup, then went to look for the others.

Matthias finally finished repairing the leak. He stood up straight and turned around to find Maddy already back.
"Took care of 'em?"
"Yeah." She said, nodding. She handed her Pokemon back to Matthias.
"Good girl. Maybe we should consider making you an actual member of the team."
He pocketed her Pokemon.
"Not a chance."

She handed her Pokemon back to Matthias."Good girl. Maybe we should consider making you an actual member of the team." He pocketed her Pokemon. "Not a chance."Ren and Kasumi joined them. " We took care of all the Pokemon we saw." Ren told Matthias. " Yeah, though there are a couple frozen Sharpedo's that will need to be removed from laboratory C." Kasumi advised him Kasumi looked at Maddy and pulled out her newest Pokeball and her piplup came out " I think I'll call my Piplup Eon. It seems right too me." her piplup seemed to enjoy playing in the partially flooded labs, swimming around pretty fast.

"Might as well let these idiots clean up the mess they made." He was referring to the scientists. " We have to tend to our injured Eevee's anyway." Ren agreed. " Yeah, those Sharpedo bit them. They'll need to be cared for, but I'm sure they'll be fine" Kasumi answered, picking up Eon as he swam between her legs. " That was pretty exciting, though. As long as they heal up."
