Tuck rubbed his hand along his jaw, looking thoughtful for a split second.
It would be nice to have something to do during down time.
The pointy elbow-nudge shook him from his reverie, and Tuck grinned.
"Herryk is an axe. And honestly, I'd love to spar. I've been spending most of my time beating down training dummies, would be nice to get some practice in on a moving target."
A cannon. Well, that didn't fit anything that they'd discovered in the blood room. Tuck felt comfortable crossing Jerry off the list. He seemed to be a pretty harmless sort. Then again, it wouldn't hurt to get a lead on his next target. The tall Moon leaned in, his voice dropping.
"Anyone I should avoid on the island?"

"Avoid?" Jerry's brows raised thoughtfully as he picked at a knot of scar on his cheek, "Er... I mean. It's a small Island, it's tough to avoid anyone but... well. I suppose I'd watch out for H." His expression quickly went from friendly and sparkling to sour and exhausted as he glanced away, "And Caelius is er... definitely one to stay under the radar for. The other leads are all pretty alright though, as far as I know." He wasn't much of a gossiper when it came to those sorts of things.
"But about those music lessons- See, I've been trying to raise money for a project Jordan and I- he's another Sun Hunter, super nice, you should meet him sometime, we've been friends since training- we've been working on. I used to have two ukuleles, I could have rented one out but ah... that recent shadowling attack..." His face suddenly went pale, looking as though a dear friend had been violently murdered in front of him. "W-well, I... I have a guitar and the one uke left and a keyboard, but I also do vocal training, all at modest prices-"

Deciding to not bother with outdoors to much, he headed out and headed around the departments, notebook in hand but small enough to fit in his pocket, and looking for anyone with an elaborate jacket. Spotting a moon who seemed to be more supervising than doing, he asked one of the moons around and they confirmed they were a higher up named Edith. Considering Moons worked with Life, he wasn't actually ignored here and he could always say he was looking for Harrison.
So, considering the generally accepted atmosphere, he pushed his luck with straight up asking in as friendly a way a complete stranger could. It was best to be curt and to the point with superiors anyways.
While looking at what looked like a Life experiment gone wrong, the woman drank her weird drink and pretty much seemed suspicious of him instead. Clearly not someone who was up to no good, and not someone so close to his own department that he wanted to have focus on him.
Excusing himself and assuring he wasn't up to no good, he left.

"Maybe I'll hit you up for some lessons after I get paid. I uh," He cleared his throat, shifting on his feet as he took a sip of coffee, "haven't gotten a check yet, so. Makes it rough, you know? Thankfully I don't have to pay rent or buy food." Tuck shrugged.
"Anyway, sorry for taking up so much of your time. It's been nice talking with you."
Tuck lifted his cup of coffee in farewell and slowly attempted to edge away.
Wandering in the main building, Solia was smiling, clipboard in hand. She was going to solve this murder mystery. Scooby doo style without the ascots or great danes though... or weed.
She really was good without the weed.

"Oh- ah... well it was definitely nice talking to you and a pleasure to meet you, Tuck! I hope you live through training!" The cheerful sparkle was back on his scarred face as he gave the man a wave, nearly spilling coffee onto his obnoxiously patterned shirt.
Well, that was nice at least! And a possible new friend and client! Things were looking up.
Rep had moved onto sipping his hot chocolate but he just might have been listening in on the conversation nearby. Of course Jerry would still be trying to rope people into his band. He didn't have much to worry about, no one was going to really suspect the guy with the bazooka of cutting up a room full of people. There'd have been no ******** walls left, for one thing. The new guy he'd never seen before. He was the main reason for the eavesdropping, it never hurt to size up the threats on and around the island, especially if Jerry was pushing the guy to meet Jordan - his Jordan.
Tracey observed. Rep rankled slightly at the tone. <>
The man didn't stay long though, moving wisely away from Jerry as the Sun hunter started really pushing to teach. He rolled his eyes. It was almost a talent.

"I .. uh, I hope I do too," Tuck mumbled quietly, offering an uneasy smile to Jerry. As he continued to ease away from Jerry, Tuck grabbed an apple before seating himself a few seats down from another hunter. Digging into his apple, Tuck gave a few pensive chews before eyeballing the redhead that sat down and across.
"Popular place to be," Tuck's mouth tweaked at the corners in a weak smile. "Name's Tuck."
He took another bite of his apple.

Rep gave Tuck the same sort of wild blue stare he had given Ceres, his posture changing slightly, like a dog hunched over a carcass daring a subordinate to so much as take a single step forward. Friendliness as far as Rep was concerned was a guise, just a mask worn to lower the guards of those around you, and he wasn't a sucker. Trust no one the note had said, and he was even less inclined to trust people today than normally.
"Rep." he snarled in gruff the way only a Scotsman could. He watched the apple intently, fruit - already a bad start - it was already offending his hot chocolate. "And aye it's popular, its where all the ******** food is."
He flicked his gaze across the other man critically, and pursed his lips slightly. "Investigating this murder bollocks I guess? Never seen you around before."

Tuck finished chewing another enormous bite of apple just as Rep finished speaking. Herryk was busy laughing (like he usually did) at his partner.
Was just trying to start up a conversation.
No, Theodore isn't.
The draugr sounded entirely too eager to know the answer.
"I was podded until about a month ago." Tuck shrugged. "What about you? And Herryk's curious about your weapon." He narrowed his pale eyes, lips lifting slightly in a cool, wry grin.

"A month ago? Fresh meat." Rep said with a chuckle that was less than friendly, convenient that the man arrived in time for a murder. Or was it? "And I'll take your word for it that you were, for all I know, you are a plant or some ******** convenient red herring."
He took a sip of his hot chocolate, apparently in no hurry, still watching the other man with unnerving attentiveness and very few blinks. There was something decidedly measured about his words, as if he was thinking everything over thoroughly before he spoke. "I've been here over a year at this point. And my weapon is a twelve foot axe called Tracey."
He put the mug down, propped his chin on a hand and gave him a smile that consisted of nothing but teeth. "What's Herryk?"

Giving Deryk a final cordial nod, Lex walked off to the main HQ. He'd seen Ami and Leon both, but they had gone their separate ways. HQ would be chalk-full of Hunters, right? Totally.
One such Hunter? Solia. She was a good candidate to interview, even though the man knew she couldn't have possibly done it. They'd both woken up at the same time - but she did have potential info. Even if she was a bouncy and bubbly intel person, she was still an intel person.
List
NPC:
Edith: Could be playing it cool, too by the book, lack of motive - low Charlotte: Finicky and quiet, too timid, low possibility of snapping - very low Dr. H: He could do anything and make it look like he'd done nothing, He'd use far more subtle actions to take power, Weapon could make the marks in the table - Medium Aria: Sneaky calling (maybe boyfriend?), solid alibi from what I've heard, no motive - low Dwight: Panicked when asked, too much a pansy to take on the council, no alibi - low
Hunters:
Deryk: Knows a good bit about the weapon, but seems too timid / jumpy to try something like this. - 3 Solia
Running over to Lex the second she saw him the half bichon hunter was wagging her proverbial tail. "Hey Lex hey! Do you know who killed them yet? Huh?"
Intel might have been death, but it was hard to say if Solia was the right type of intel.

Tuck took the final bite of his apple before setting the core on the table. He chewed slowly, all the while having an internal conversation with his weapon.
Rep didn't take his eyes off Tuck even once while he chewed the apple, mentally assessing the man for how likely it could have been that he had any part in the council murder. His coat said trainee, the gouges on the table said division leader. But you could never remove all doubt.
"Sparring would have to be unarmed, I'm banned from using my weapon on island for anything short of dummy fighting." he said in a flippant sort of way, licking the spoon clean like a lollipop.
"As for the council they were the bastards in the shadows, the guys who kept the specimens in their cages, made sure the nutjobs like H and s**t didn't completely take power. Looks like the animals are running the farm now though. Better watch your back man cause trainees are ******** snacks."
Suspicion: still 1 he seems like a nice bloke ok
