"It didn't matter," Harrison emphasized, just as quiet. "...He had a lot of his priorities screwed up, for a long time."
There was a sharp, low, flashing motion, like he'd been using a katana instead of a cutlass.
The remaining shadows in the room blinked back out of existence, and for a moment it was empty of strangeness, the only dark in the room the natural and friendly cast light from the furniture and themselves.
Harrison took a step, and caught Jordan up in a desperate hug.
The alarms were still going off.

Jordan nodded and wrapped his arm around Harrison's shoulders, holding him just as tight for a few long seconds. "You came home," he said, the simple statement containing a world of emotion.
Then he said, "We'd better get down and see what's going on," and let go. They'd talk about it later; the alarms were going and they had a job to do.

"Yeah, okay," Harrison acknowledged finally.
He held on to Jordan longer than he knew he should, but sucked up the raw emotions and tightened his grip on B0nez instead.
"Gotta make sure those things don't eat us out of house and home first."
He paused.
"...And uh, not in our PJs."
Getting ready didn't take too long. Harrison made a pitstop before changing and getting his boots, jacket, binoculars, and bandaid tin. He also turned on all their lights, and hoped the room...and the laptop...would be okay. Worrying about the objects was tough when Jordan's presence and Rep's absence were so heavy on his mind.
He locked up, then jogged alongside Jordan, making his way down to the main facility.

"Yeah, those things bite." Jordan pulled his clothes on and strapped his mission bag over his shoulder. Boots, coat, scarf, daggers; he tied his hair back and shot a glance around the room. The stuff would be okay with the lights on. He hoped. Even if it wasn't ... stuff was replaceable, people weren't.
Harrison's presence at his side was a comfort, even if they had more crap to deal with after the current crap had been dealt with. As long as they came out of this alive, they could deal with it later.

Thankfully that had gone smoothly for Otto. He really didn't want to risk harming his drum set in a battle. The teenager managed to think clearly enough to get some shoes on before stomping out into the hallway.

One moment, Crispin had been dreaming - and it was a pretty awesome dream too, honestly. He hadn't played Kingdom Hearts in years, but he had a good dose of nostalgia for it, all those afternoons after school spent in serious battle that almost mimicked what he wished he could do to the real shadows he saw all around him. He'd dreamed for a keyblade of his very own, some way to lock away the world so the shadows would go away...
He picked the path of the Warrior, sure and true, just as he'd had Sora do all those years ago, aware distantly of Shaiming's comforting presence in his mind, alongside him.
And then the klaxons shattered the dream to tiny bits, and Crispin woke up with a start. "Augh!"
We are called to battle, Hunter-mine, Shaiming said, a low mental rumble thudding through Crispin's brain. Steady-
"Battle?!" Oh god. Okay. Battle. Right. He could do this-
"Ware! Shaiming snarled, and Crispin realized he wasn't alone in the room. Something dark was on the floor, pooling up from darkness into solidity, and-
...
"I woke up, right?"
Yes.
"Oh my god." Crispin stared at the emerging shadowling, his mouth hanging open. "Heartless."
?
A ferocious, giddy joy rose in Crispin's mind, and he held out his hands and summoned Shaiming - though the joy dampened just a tiny bit when what he got was a glaive and not a keyblade.
Be satisfied with me as I am, the dragon grumbled, a little annoyed. Let us dispatch the beast!
The bed shook as the 'Heartless' smacked into it, and a dark claw and bobbing antennae rose above the mattress' edge. "Right," Crispin said, and brought the glaive down to crash through the creature's head. It made a faint hissing squeak and staggered back, though not before making a vicious swipe that scraped away at Shaiming's FEAR shield.
Crispin's HP: 38/40

Crispin jumped down off the bed, staggering a bit as the unbalanced weight of the glaive pulled him forward. The 'Heartless' took that opportunity to claw at his side, and he winced as his pajamas tore.
He fetched up against the wall, and used it for support as he brought the glaive around to slice at the creature again.
Crispin's HP: 36/40

The 'Heartless' jumped again, its antennae bobbing, but Crispin fended it off using the glaive's shaft. "I will defeat you," he shouted at it, and brought Shaiming down in a rush, using the glaive's weight and gravity to make the strike hard.
The blade cut true, right through the 'Heartless', which evaporated into motes of darkness. There was a ting! as the blade hit the floor. Crispin panted. "Phew..." His heart was pounding.
No time to rest, Hunter-mine. There will be more, Shaiming cautioned, tugging at Crispin's attention.
"Yeah. More," he managed. Gosh... his first battle. He was excited, but he was also a little scared...
It is good to be wary, not foolhardy; careful, not cowardly. Let us go.
Crispin nodded and opened the door.
Crispin's HP: 36/40

Shadowling HP: it ded

Tori bolted upright when hearing those alarms weapon summoned just as quickly. That dream was just so strange and there was something in there that she didn't want to see at all as Tori didn't want to remember at least not right now. She even puzzled herself to why she had chosen the sword, oh well later on would she think right now there was fighting to do.
Seeing a shadow just waving to was really strange, Aklin was growling ready for a fight and she was too. Since she just wanted that shadowling out of her room and she wanted to know how they had gotten out too. Taking a stab at the shadow with her sword while moving away from but still taking a little damage.

Staring down that shadowling since she just wanted it gone and to see what else was going wrong in there home and she also wanted to get into normal clothing to go fight.
Taking a swipe at the creature with her blade when it had scratched her even tho it didn't hurt much.

To why did she have to have that strange dream, Tori thought keeping the the shadowling in her sites.
Aklin said earging her to attack and stop thinking.
Just nodding to her weapon as Tori did just what her weapon wanted but threw her chain and ball at it when it had taken a swipe at her.

Aklin kept on chattering on how he wanted to fight more bigger things and Tori for now just didn't want to listen since she thought once getting out of her room that there was going to be more things to fight but what she didn't know.
Swiping at the shadowling once more that this swipe would kill it and she could be on her way to finding out what else was happening. To which she totally missed it all together.

Rolling her eyes at the fact that she had just missed the shadowling even tho it wasn't missing her at all. But then it was a smaller target than she was.
Tori once more threw her chain and ball at it and well it didn't miss but only grazed the creature as it had attacked back.

Why wasn't this thing just dying already!!! Tori wasn't too happy but then she wasn't that good of a fighter.
Oh well she thought and took another swipe at the shadowling as she has taken what it had done to her. But seeing the shadowling shiver and then it disapated away.
"Finally!!" Tori said as she quickly got other clothing on with Aklin telling her that he wanted more fighting. Yes she thought just in a second they would be Lin. Once in approprated clothing with her coat on and quickly putting thing into her pockets and was out the door to find out what was happening.
