A piece of the tower collapses nearby, sending a barrage of debris into the crowd. Uru was one of the unfortunate one to have one smack him in the arm resulting in a loud yelp. But he had to move on, he had to get to the portal!

Olivia tried to get up, but there were so many people around. So many rushing bodies that it was difficult to find a good place to rest her hand and push up. She could feel her other hand being pulled, and with more force than what she could imagine one man could. Others were pulling her rescuer along as well.
"Aa!" She called around, only to realize she didn't have a name to call out to.

Thankfully, Nkosazana did not have much trouble coming to her feet the second time, bag securely nestled at her side as she attempted to assess the situation. Now was not the time to panic. Now was not the time to panic. The moment she panicked was the moment she would die who was she kidding this situation was absolutely horrifying and she needed to get the hell out of dodge right the hell now.
She knew in her heart that everything in her just wanted to run, but another part of her screamed that she couldn't leave without making sure that David was alright, the man right beside her, whom she had lost in the chaos. Alarmed, she called out a, "David! David Renden! Answer me!"
Thankfully, Nkosazana did not have to look far, able to find that red top tripping and trampled almost anywhere.
People were in such a frenzy that they weren't even paying the slightest bit of attention, and it made Nkosazana hiss in displeasure, especially as she reached down and yanked up the other man with all of the might she had in her muscles. Admittedly, considering her height and weight distribution, it was more than someone would expect out of the average woman.
"David, we have to go."
Nkosazana did not mince words, grabbing onto his arm tightly with her own and crushing her bag between them, perhaps to secure it from anyone who might be attempting to grab things in the chaos. "The portal will lead us out of here. Let's go that way. Now!"
When she looked behind her, she caught the lovely sight of a piece of the tower falling on someone as they attempted to crawl out from their booth, and had to clamp a hand to her mouth not to cry out. She couldn't watch this. No matter how much her Silver Curiosity told her that she needed to watch and understand, she couldn't even process what was going on. They needed to go!

Harland didn't exactly have a lot of time after registering with the scribe to figure out what was going to happen next-- the tower was crumbling. Dumbfounded, and displaying typically slow-Harland staring, he just watched it happen.
And he probably wouldn't have moved, if he hadn't realized he needed to keep track of Kitty. He was not getting separated from Alastair.
He tried to keep an eye on their new friend, Crispin, as well.
One way or another, Harland Belle's reflexes were in action: the man dashed for the portal, trying to keep Kitty and Crispin in tow.
"I'll surely find you, should we be separated!" Harland promised, as he slipped through the portal unscathed.

Sinclair was an excellent performer. He could talk a good game, play himself off as strong, capable, reliable -- but when it came to facing real disasters, he had, admittedly, very little experience.
Especially with a catastrophe on this scale.
He should know what to do. If he had more time, he could have come up with a brilliant plan, or at least sounded appropriately brilliant as he bravely led the civilians to the portals.
But as the tower -- his home -- collapsed around them, he could not find the words. In that moment, Sinclair thought himself no better than the rest of them; his single clearest thought was to RUN.
Sinclair ran to his stall, hoping to grab what he could -- something, anything that could be of use, he thought wildly -- but debris crashed into his path, cutting too close and slicing through his shoulder. He clapped a hand to the wound, barely stifling a yell. Another way, then... he has to keep going...

He was normally a gentle person, not one to grab or pull people along with him. Much less grip at their wrist as if hell had emerged from the ground. Then again, this was just a step short of it. The pulling probably wasn't the most fun, but certainly they made some progress, until a sudden pull backwards nearly felled him up. That thing he'd held so tightly too suddenly gone leaving just air behind. He grasped at the space a moment before looking back to see the girl on the ground, attempting a quick shout as he reached out again before the mass of citizens fleeing pulled him along forward. A few seconds later he felt he'd been marched an entire block, no sign of the girl evident as he halted in his attempts to move against the throng. It was pointless, he wouldn't win. No, he'd already lost. They all had. He looked forward again, amazed he'd somehow reached the portal unscathed even with his attempts to turn back. Only a few endless steps where left as he was shoved a couple more shuffling steps, and then there was the portal, and the last time he would see his kingdom, or so he thought, a visual of naught but destruction slipping away. Into a land that seemed far to lovely, or peaceful for it to be the same life. (( Molan is exiting to the Gold Kingdom. )) chirigami HE TRIED HE DID. D: Good luck short one!

Alastair's appearance and demeanor drooped as the loud noises crackled, striking him deaf to anything else. Whatever was happening, it was not good. It was when the ground beneath his feet began to shake that he spun on his toes and booked it. He'd almost completely forgotten about his companions as he shoved through the panicked crowed towards the portal.

The hand was gone. Pulled away from the sheer force and mass of people running for their lives. Olivia made a weak pathetic sound as the fingers were gone. He was gone. And she didn't know his name or where he was going.
"No." She whimpered, reaching out again in hopes he would reappear. But he wouldn't. Not with this madness that was still coming in droves. The same madness that swept her back up in a blur and pulled her forward.

Alastair's escape was violently disrupted as a large piece of shrapnel struck him in the forehead. The man collapsed from the blow with a sharp cry. Slowly recovering from his daze, Alastair struggled to his feet.

Still panting and heaving, Rei grabs his injured arm and hurriedly ran to the portal's direction. Falling rocks from all sizes continued to pour from the skies, obstructing his advance.
