Well of course he would take it away, if it wasn't a sale he had to keep it where it was safe. Though he blinked at the sudden contact, tilting his head. Her words did clarify things a bit.

Perhaps he did undervalue them a bit, as he had made them. He spent most of his time trading a finished piece for more materials, or a bit of interesting information for the books. So if they could get him what he desired, that was enough. And this was a simple piece in his opinion. Still, a small smile spread as he handed her the item, lifting the one he'd selected up. "If something pleases me perhaps, but if there is nothing else, there is little need." He wasn't a greedy person, he only had use for what was necessary and nothing else mattered to him.

Though at that point the bell chimed, loudly, drawing attention to it, and it alone briefly. Until a far more pressing matter came to be.

The ground seemed to vibrate under his feet, followed by the most horrific noise, or perhaps sight he'd ever beheld. The tower, the shining monument of their glory, was falling piece by piece to the ground. Or perhaps it was better to say to seemingly nothing. Vast amounts of miasma were escaping at various points, shrouding their view of the events. But the chaos, the cries, it was without a doubt happening.

Just like the rumors. No... now they were fact.

He stumbled back a few steps, holding tightly to the cloth in his hands without a second thought. Cries to flee were heard through the masses, and everyone was surging to one location. To the portal to escape. To flee their home. A home that would be no more?

He didn't particularly have time to worry about that, nor much else. He cast the girl a quick look before reaching to catch the younger girls hand and drag her long. "Run." Honestly, she was small, he didn't want her to be run over. Not that he was a pillar of strength himself, but he was at least a bit taller.

In general his thought was purely that no one deserved to die in this. They'd only done their duty, so... so why was it happening now?

No time to worry, there was only time to flee. To get out. He'd think about it later.

Sigrún was listening to Moriko when she also turned to listen to what the scribe was saying. The ground began to rumble slowly under their feet.
"What in the.." Sig shoved her new knife into her boot and looked to Momo.
"Yes lets!" She was glad her friend had latched onto her because Sigrún was paying attention to the tower and not to moving.

"Momo the tower is collapsing!" She yelled and made sure to hold tight to Moriko as they worked as a team to reach the portal.
"After us I guess!" Sig yelled as the pair went through the portal

In a moment of panic David tried to leap over his table, unfortunately he forgot just how terribly uncoordinated he was, and he fell face first onto the ground in front of it.

Well, that was unexpected. Rei is, expecting that Ary will took his offer, but dragging him by the hand was a bit surprising. Directly running to the scribe, on the other hand, is clearly a great choice; even if the Quota for Black Kingdom still pretty much empty last time he checked.

"Well, that settles that." Said Rei, after putting his name after Arynek's in the list of citizen going to the Black Kingdom. "All's left is just preparation and getting provisions. I can pretty much cover you in emergencies, but just in case, did you have any kind of weapon? The Kingdom itself is pretty safe, but the journey going there is pretty harsh with wild beasts and stray bandits from Blue Kingdom. If you're going to bring all of those gems with you you'd better have something to defend yourself." Advises him, eyeing the crowds still queuing up for enlisting to the Scribe.

The ground rose underneath her.

What was that? Her eyes flickered around, attempting to catch some signs of something--a large figure, something dropping, perhaps even signs that everything was shaking because perhaps it was an earthquake, though it had been an eon since she had experienced those, but there was nothing to greet her but ... nothing. It seemed like things around them were beginning to readjust and fall from her sight, down into an...

... Oh no.

Nkosazana couldn't help the scream that escaped her lips, immediately moving to protect some of her goods, shoving some cookies and some clothes into a knitted bag. In an attempt to grab it, however, she ended up sailing over the edge of her booth and falling on her face, the bag falling atop her.

But she couldn't stop, and she knew that, scrambling to get her bag over her shoulder and ramble on.
