The cries of more hunters as they approached had Shaheen pulling away from her current fight, staring with narrowed eyes at the cascade of white cloaks that were suddenly running towards them. For a moment she fought off the dizziness that afflicted her senses, before she reached up to clasp a hand against her distortion crystal, absorbing the Fear from within it, feeling herself rejuvenate, letting her shield strengthen back to full force.

Freya's words had caused Sharra to wince in sympathy, wondering just what had happened to the Valkyrie before she'd come here. As she warned him to look out for himself, he nodded, "You too." It was soft, but the tone that the Nergal used held little room for argument. Not that he expected her to stand idl by, which she didn't. She was from far too proud a race for that, a feeling that the demon boil understood.
But now their enemies had reinforcements, the appearance of more Hunters flooding the field caused the Nergal's heart to seize in his chest. Several of their own number were already suffering severe wounds. And now there were fresh enemies, all too eager to tear them apart for what they'd done to their comrades. Beautiful. "We've got company, heads up!" This to Freya and anyone else within earshot.
Stepping right around the altercation going on with a Sun Hunter, he fought to remain at the valkyrie's side for now, claws bared and at the ready, eyeballing the Hunter that had pistol-whipped her before with a baleful stare.
Xiu paled, dropping back into a defensive position as she stuck by the zombie ghoul. Although a number of students hadn't attacked during the battle, it wasn't likely that these hunters knew that--all they would see would be their fallen comrades, and then they'd do what they think was right.
Which was, of course, retaliate.

The red headed hunter sauntered onto the battlefield like he owned it, axe bigger he was held at the ready. Fear didn't factor into his thoughts at all, the horsemen considered humans vermin and it was mutual. As far as he was concerned, they were a slinking band of cowards and they'd taken one too many of his precious things over the last year. It looked like they'd even brought along their simpering little pets, students mingling amongst the arrogant horses. He'd be merciful and they'd get to die with their masters - it would be ******** touching if it wasn't so disgusting.
There were injured hunters all around, and he wouldn't have been surprised if there was some mortality in there too, friends who'd never come home to one another. Every dead hunter counted as two casualties.
No, no they wouldn't. His lips curled in a silent snarl as he dropped into a defensive battle stance.
Like a kid in a candy shop all that remained was to choose who to fight.

Gazing out at all the dead or dying hunters strewn across the ground, Mei felt all sorts of guilt for not having stepped in to do something. The horsemen were out of control--power hungry. Why couldn't the others see that? Maybe they did, and just considered their options, deciding their chances were better to fight with them instead? The hunters had most students on edge from the day they had encountered them, and many were fighting to protect their loved ones. The others, however..
Shaking her head, she clenched her fists at her sides. This didn't need to happen.
Her head shot up at the sound of more hunters arriving on the field, some of which had familiar faces--hunters whom she had encountered on more than one occasion. Swaying a little, she scanned the white coats for a certain hunter, but found nothing.

Coming through the portal, Deryk paled a bit at the sight before him. There was blood everywhere and it was one hell of a fight to say in the very least. There were plenty of horsemen, but to his dismay, there were a number of students strewn about as well. Some of them, he was surprised to see.
He frowned lightly, spotting a flash of pink hair within the crowd. He was on the look out for horsemen to attack, but he needed to find one thing out first.
It didn't look like Lizzy was fighting.. but he couldn't be too careful.
"W-what are you doing here?" he asked, sounding confused. He didn't understand why she was here doing this. Wasn't she supposed to be against this sort of thing? He could have sworn he heard her say she didn't trust horsemen..

"Mei!" The black dog called after her before appearing by her side. "Careful you don't get attacked too. Even if we're just bystanders in this entire mess, they won't ignore you or I just because we're not attacking." Though if anyone dared to even try and lay a hand on her they would lose it.
The whole situation had gone from bad to worse. The hunters got their reinforcements and the horsemen and students continued to go about their killing spree. Now the question was, which side should he fight for? He didn't care for the hunters and would love to see them get thrashed about a little, but... in this particular case, they were the victims and his own kind the villain.

"If you like just three tails, imagine when i have all six." He smirked back at the feline whom had taken residence in his tails, flicking them a few times for both of their amusement.
His attention turned towards the zomboil as he approached, and the other as well. Both of them made quick work of their kill...
He did remember at least the zombie before, seeing him at the other initiate meetings. He did a quick gesture of hello, tipping a hat which he conjured from illusions before closing his palm and vanishing it, a smug smile on his lips.
Though the reunion was short and sweet, because soon after another portal opened... and more familiar faces appeared.
Seeing Remi jumping in to attack his target as well, Shun turned towards the kitsune for the moment, nodding quietly in acknowledgement. He might have had more to say if they weren't in the middle of a battlefield, but that wasn't quite the case here.
Besides, there was something happening now. And that something was hunter reinforcements.
Cursing under his breath, the Reaper turned towards the newcomers, recognizing more of these faces. His eye narrowed, scanning the group. Candace was not among them unfortunately. But that aside, he was going to need to be careful. The fighting thus far had worn him down, and these hunters were no doubt going to be fresh.
Maybe if he had more power, he wouldn't be worn already. The thought angered him, and he gripped his blades tightly while he tried to pick out a target to try and stab.

Melvin walked up with the others, seeing bodies laying about the field and hoping beyond hope they were just knocked out and not - something more permanent. The possibility of death had him feeling shaken and on edge, and while Rep grinned as if the entire horsemen clans were here to throw him a surprise party, Melvin looked as if all of them were here to take part in his dissection.
"Didn't think I'd see these guys again so soon." He'd been woken up just before they attacked and had his first mission going into the horsemen lair. It seemed so long ago when he thought about it.
Deciding that he'd rather not go too direct in battle, he slyly moved next to Rep. Backup. That was his plan for this mission.
"I know, I know, but.." She shifted uncomfortably. "I feel useless just standing here like this. I also want to see if Gale is around here." Gale was one of the few hunters she had actually been able to get a decent conversation out of, not just exchange blows. Maybe, maybe they could still sort this whole mess out? Wishful thinking, but hey. Gotta hope for something.

Herryk still had no plan to attack. There would be a moment for him to move, for him to strike - a way for him to break through and wreak destruction the likes had never been seen before. He paid no heed to Medea, to the horsemen, to the friends he'd hurt. Perhaps this would be a way to end things differently. It was so hard for him not to strike out, to crush and mangle until wet, bloodied pieces of human flesh fell from his hands. It was so difficult for him to wait, to bide his time until the perfect moment.
This was no longer his battle - the one that waged on around him was only a means to his ultimate end. The path was laid out neatly before him - gloriously straight and unhindered. They would lead him back. They would take him to where he needed so desperately to go.
These thoughts amped him up, and Herryk's size increased marginally as the thoughts trickled through his muddled brain. To the draugr, the only way to end his own suffering was to make it through to the other side. To where the humans really came from in droves and small herds. This place, where he stood now? There was no telling if it was real or imagined - yet another one of Medea's trance-dreams, or if it truly was reality. It wasn't a chance that Herryk was willing to take.
He would wait. He would bide his time. He could be patient.
The field was chaos. The smell of blood and smoke was everywhere, and there were bodies scattered and sprawled on the ground; Jordan didn't have to look to know that they were human bodies. Halloweeners dissipated. He summoned Ferros as he stepped onto the field, the hammer's weight familiar and reassuring in his hand as he got his bearings, looked for survivors.
I'm hungry, Ferros grumbled.
You're going to have plenty to feed on, Jordan answered darkly.

He understood how she felt. Even now he was restraining himself from tacking action. But it was a little too complicated to simply jump in there. Not yet anyways. Though when Mei spoke, the black dog couldn't help the puzzled look that came across his face.
Reinforcements had arrived! Tseng laughed at this. The hunters thought this would sway the tide of battle, did they? Well they were in for a surprise to say in the least. It only added to the glory of it all. Grinning widely, he looked around for a new quarry, managing to spot one hunter not too far off. There certainly was no shortage of them.
"PINCUSHION!" he shouted while firing a few arrows at the human.
