The icy attack would catch as the aid of his fellow would fall short. Caught in the jaws of the pokemon, he would wiggle and thrash as he tries to get lose. His life depended on his ability to up some sort of a defense as he knew the effects of his poison would start on his opponent.
One swift feeling of sickness to make sure that the Yamask didn't forget what he had done.

He would taunt the pokemon that had him clasp in his mouth.

[Diabound HP: 12/20]Cheeks bulging, Diabound would snap back into his natural shape as his face began to turn various shades of green, then for an instance plaid. Head swimming, the Yamask's noggin would rotate unnaturally before the Ghost-Type fell from the air, landing upon his back and raising one arm as if to say 'Check Please'.
A rumble built in Genn's throat as he listened to the Gligar's taunting, forming into a chuckle the purple Pokemon would be able to hear all too easily. He'd like to see the Gligar try...quite literally in fact. The words of his opponent just made the Steelix more excited for the fight; but his anticipation would be cut short as he received a rather unexpected command...
"PULL!" Raven shouted, his voice echoing clearly in the cavern. Genn wouldn't hesitate for an instant, tilting his head back only to fling it forward as he released the Gligar into the air. Hand in his bag, Raven would pull the arm loose a mere instant later, releasing a red-white sphere into the air as he called out a set of words he never thought he'd say in his life, even for a distraction "POKEBALL GO!" Yes, the crimson clad warrior had every intention of capturing this Gligar! [Roll#1: Diabound/Roll#2: Genn]

"Impromptu, finish it!"
The mutt would bark, skidding to a halt as he stuck out all four of his little paws to do so. He did't seem to notice all the effort he'd wasted earlier, still as overly enthusiastic as ever as he charged towards the swinub, mouth wide open and showing off his pearly whites. He was gonna go take one big ol' Bite outta the little pig, he'd show the dual type never to mess with him again!

The look in the pokemon's eyes as he was thrown ...was shock. He expected and long for death. He wanted to go to his beloved side, and instead ...he found himself set free. A smile would come on his face, he was going to make him regret that ...setting him free. He would snap open his wings, and he would look downwards at his opponent with every wish to dive and strike at the top of their heads ....but, something else would move first.
A sound that made his ear twitch.
"Pokeball Go!"
His eyes went wide, and he would look to see it coming towards him. Though he couldn't avoid it, he had noticed too late as it would tap him on the wing, and his voice would scream out.
"NOOOOOOO!"
Dissolving into a reddish light, he would be pulled inside as the pokeball spun in the air. The light reddish on the button would beep even as the pokeball headed back towards the earth rocking the entire way, but before it could hit the ground ...the sound of Raven's victory would chime.

With that bite, the battle was finally over as the Swinub would go down in the dirt. The hair that could protect from so much, could not protect from the pokemon's fangs. He would end up on his side ...with his eyes rolling around and around.

Both Diabound and Genn would watch as the PokeBall flew through the air, bouncing off the Gligar's wing and drawing him inside. Even when it struck the ground the two Pokemon would merely watch it rock back and forth. When the chime came, the victory complete, the pair bore different expressions. Diabound wore an expression of confusion, one which rather swiftly turned to a lazy shrug of his shoulders, followed closely by disinterest in the whole situation. That of Genn was more akin to disappointment, one way or another he'd hoped the battle would last a bit longer. Neither Pokemon however was the type to question Raven's decision.
The boy himself would merely stride forward, kneeling down briefly to retrieve the PokeBall which he had thrown. For a time Raven would remain there, staring at the ball in his grasp. A Gligar would be a good addition to his team, immune to the effects of no less then two types of attacks, and it's greatest weakness was something he found himself well defended against by others. All he yet needed...was a name.
"Valvatorez..." The word left the child's lips before he even registered it...but as his eyes closed, his head would move forward in the faintest nod. Yes, that would do nicely.
With that decided the young trainer would rise, clipping the Gligar's ball onto the fourth position of his belt. Swiftly after he would recall Genn and Diabound, returning their balls to the proper location. An extreme instance of hindsight, he only now realized that he should have procured some Antidotes before departing from the Academy. He suppose he'd simple grown too dependant on the notion that Genn was immune to such things.
Shaking his head slightly at his own folly, Raven would proceed forward. He still needed to get out of here.

Raven gave, what was quite unfortunately, a sigh. One of relief no less. For once he'd managed not to simply trip over a Pokemon the second he walked away from the next battle. He was all for training still, however he was beginning to realize the wear and tear which accompanied constant battles, and how it began to slow one down after a time. Inherit downsides to operating by ones self he supposed...

Quiet. Darkness. Nothing but rock and shadow surrounded the boy as he proceeded down the tunnel, his mind drifting to places he'd once forgotten. He'd been afraid of the dark once, the night holding not but monsters hiding in every corner in his eyes. Yet that was not where the monsters were, the savage beasts of his nightmares dwelt not in the darkness, but in the light, in the hearts of men whom had grown pompous and fat, or those wretched curs wishing to join their ranks by any means they could employ. Raven gritted his teeth lightly, anger welling up from deep in the pit of his stomach...

Raven's steps had become heavier as he walked through the tunnel, grumbling as only a child truly could as he proceeded toward his destination. This was why he didn't like thinking about the past, it only cause an unpleasant fire to burn in the pit of his stomach. It was infuriating...distracting. It did no good but remind him why he was here, a fact he hadn't gone and forgotten.

The two of them would for only a moment get a breather as the corner would be turned to show light, and something else not more than a few paces ahead. Two pokemon staring as they stood in the light ....in front of the exit.
They had missed the boy as he passed, but the girl wouldn't be so lucky as the Numel would give her a lazy glare while the Rhyhorn would bellow loudly. He made his claim clear, she wouldn't pass by him easily.
This it would seem was going to be a real fight.

Ada would waste no time, as soon as the rhyhorn would call her out he'd see two pokemon in front of him, a Zangoose appearing in a burst of inky black and, in contrast, a Riolu appearing in a flash of white light. The duo was an odd match, as they contrasted almost entirely. It would become apparent when they took their fighting stances, Specter on all fours, snarling with her ears down and her fur on end while Layla would bow respectfully to her opponents before assuming a traditional fighters stance, a subtle finesse to her movements. It was clear, however, that the two were hardened battlers, despite the difference between their fighting styles.
They'd stand waiting for the others to strike, else they'd go ahead and strike first.

Grey Moonfang IV At last the boy would be able to see a light at the end of the tunnel...literally. He would step out to see the sun shining above him, and a city that rest on the coast beyond him. Raven had made it through the tunnel and into the daylight ...as he would stand at the outskirts of the city. All he had to do now was find his Professor, in a the place, that was a massive as any major port city. FALL CITY
This is an neighboring city on the other side of the mountain ....it is completely surrounded on all sides by mountains, and thus is only accessible three ways. One, is by flying over the mountain, and the second is by train that cuts through the mountain, and the final is to dock by sea.
This is the only place with a port that goes to the dark areas that have been categories as restricted by all officials.Attractions to find in Fall City:
