Gabe flushed. "No, definitely not," he said, shaking his head. "I, uh, I like mythology, a lot - not so much, er, smutty romance novels." He coughed. "So uh sleep, that sounds great."

"Aww too bad. I'm sure Esme would let you borrow some of her's or even some of her smutt fiction she likes to write if you ever get the inkling to be a little naughty." With a sleepy grin, she unwrapped her arms from around him and stood up from the ground. Stretching her arms over her head with a light groan before dusting her legs and bottom off.
"Make sure the fire is all the way out ok? Don't want to burn the whole forest down now." Vyth covered her mouth as a large yawn crept up on her before making her way towards the tent. Clambering inside to change into her pjs and slip into her sleeping bag.

"I'll, uh, pass," Gabe said. He definitely didn't want to see anything Esme had written. Mostly because he didn't want to stumble on something she'd written about him.
"Got it," he said, laughing quietly. He dumped dirt over the fire, making sure it was totally out before he went back to the tent. He waited until Vyth was finished to go inside and change himself, though.

"You can come in and change if you want. I'm already in my sleeping bag and it's too dark to see anything." Unless he turned the lantern back on that she had turned off. She had already wiggled her way down into her sleeping bag, her head covered by the top flap.
"I promise..." Yawn. "I won't peek lest your face explode from blushes."

Gabe flushed. "Uh, yeah, okay," he said, ducking into the tent. He had to grope around in the dark for his pajamas, but he did not want to turn that lantern back on. She was right, he probably would die if she peeked on him changing.
Once he was done he snuggled into his sleeping bag. "All changed up," he said quietly.

Vyth scootched herself closer to him. Their sleeping bags in between them though that didn't stop her from snuggling up next to him. She peeked her head out of her sleeping back with a tired smile. "Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite." She let out a small yawn before her eyes slipped closed as she drifted off to dream land. Her breathing slowed and became softer as her body relaxed.
The next morning she had risen pretty early. They needed to get all their stuff packed back into the SUV and out of the campsite. It seemed to be easier unpacking the stuff then it had been repacking it. But after a bit everything was taken down and shoved into the truck.
It wasn't long until they were back on the road once more, heading into the city once again. The traffic seemed lighter this time around but she figured the end of the weekend rush hour traffic hadn't started. And soon she was pulling up to the curb in front of Gabe's house, a light smile on her lips. A little sad that their weekend was over. It had been a lot of fun.
Though not like they wouldn't get other times to spend together.
"Well here we are." Her grip on the steering wheel tightened. "I'll give you a call once I get back to my dorm okay? Ya know, just so you know I got back there safe." Leaning over, she kissed his cheek. Letting her lips linger against his skin for a moment before she sat back with a wide grin on her lips.

Gabe was not looking forward to getting back to the city, and he was pretty sure his sluggish efforts at packing had a lot to do with that, given that he was one of those dreaded morning people that didn't mind being up early.
It was way too quick for him -- the packing, the drive back, everything. He would have been just fine with hours of rush-hour traffic, because he really did treasure every minute in Vyth's company. Perhaps because there was still a aprt of him that was sure he'd scare her off someday.
He gave her a shy smile. "Yeah, let me know when you get there." He said. "And I'll see you again soon." His face heated up from the kiss, but he returned it with a peck on her cheek before stepping out of the SUV.
All good things must come to an end, he supposed, even if he would rather they didn't.
