"Yes!" he jumped up from his seat "Someone's done!" he made alittle dance out of excitement by rotating his hands around eachother "I have something very fun in store for you! Come with me!" he grabbed her hand and began to walk out of the classroom "Everyone - continue with whatever you are doing and I will be back in a sec!" and with that he gave a quick wave before taking little Amaya across the floor and out into the hallway. "You'll have lunch now!" he started of with, after taking the first step on the stair that led to the secound floor. "The rest will catch up when they have finished their remaining exercises" he turned to her with a smile, before slowly opening a door to a room.

He let her in first, and in there she would find a big circle of lunchboxes. Neatly put in the equal amount of space between one and another. Each foodbox had a name infront of it. "Yupp, just dig in! Nothing bad is goi-.." he cut himself off as he quickly grabbed a piece of rope that was lying a bit hidden under a moved desk. He tied the rope in a series of knots around her arms and wrists. Very difficult, but not too difficult if she was starving. He also made sure that before she could say anything, he placed a pit of tape across her mouth. Hindering her from cheating in this exercise. "Now! Little Amaya-chan!" he lifted her up and placed her infront of her foodbox. "Dinners is served as you might see" he croutched down infront of her and her lunchbox ".. But! There is a problem! You are tied!" his smile grew immensly as he pointed to the ropes he'd just put on her. "What you have to do now is get out of the ropes. You are probably too unqualified and weak to be able to do this without chakra. That is why this exercise is so perfect! You'll have to use chakra to get out of the ten knots I've made there, and by doing that - you will have learned the Nawanuke no jutsu! Isn't that great? And you get a free lunch too!" he roughed up the girls hair before making his way out of the classroom. Laughing all the way down to his own classroom, where he went dead silent. And took his seat.

This guy really was slippery! Or maybe Fudou was just really scrawny and really bad at throwing his weight around, but he didn't think of that. Something slammed into his shoulder and Fudou flinched hard, curling in on himself slightly out of reflex. The pain snapped something within him and he lost what cool he normally kept. Fudou was not one to stay and fight in similar situations so being in this spar and the heat of action right now was completely new to him. He was no longer really concerned with sneaky tricks and keeping control of the situation. Instead he reached out to grab Shiro by the collar and swung to punch in the general direction of his face.

Shiro felt his kick connect but it was only with Akio's shoulder, which was a pretty tough spot. Having only done moderate damage to him, Shiro knew that the other boy was going to come back at him fairly quickly. Despite this he was not able to move out of the way fast enough. Continuing to behave in a manner that Shiro considered less than honest, Akio used Shiro's shirt as a temporary hold to line up a punch. Thankfully Shiro managed roll with the punch so it didn't hurt too badly but it would have been better to avoid it entirely. Still in close quarters Shiro fired right back at him in the hopes of doing some damage to his opponent's face. After his fist connected he decided it was time to try some of his own intimidation to even the playing field.
"You call those attacks Fudou? They barely even hurt!." It was a bluff however as he was feeling a little sore but if Akio bought it, Shiro's tactic might just buy him enough time to finish the fight.

Resting Post

Amaya startled when Ko-sensei suddenly leapt from his seat. Once again, she had tensed. This was a bad idea; bad, bad idea. The child knew that she was overly excitable, but she was still caught off guard by his exuberant enthusiasm. Before she had time to react, the large man had a hold of her hand and was dragging her off to only he knew where. She didn’t have time to acknowledge Sakura on her way out because she was already having a difficult time keeping up behind the man that was practically dragging her behind him. He was a handful, that was for sure; and that was with knowing that he would be excited over someone completing their task. The little bit of comfort she had was that Sakura was close to being done with her assignment, which would mean Amaya wouldn’t be alone for long because he was sure to drag her off as well. He was just so bizarre!

Slightly tripping as the stairs suddenly appeared beneath her feet her teacher began saying something about lunch. Amaya was always ready for food, so that provided a little bit of comfort. Though Ko-sensei wasn’t a big man overall, he was huge compared to Amaya, so she was having a difficult time seeing where they were going. She wasn’t familiar with the halls of the academy, so the child didn’t know where she was in relation to anything. Before she knew what was going on, Ko-sensei stopped in front of a door; holding it open to let the girl inside. Tentatively, the child stepped into room in front of her sensei like she had been motioned to do. She quickly took in the surroundings: bento boxes set in a neat circle with name plates. The positioning of the desk was a bit odd, but she just assumed it was to make room for all of the boxes. However, she knew something was up as soon as she heard her sensei saying nothing bad and cutting himself off.

Before the girl had a chance to spin around and face what had suddenly become some sort of threat, she felt her arms being bound behind her back – her wrists quickly followed suit. “He—“ Amaya tried to protest, but her mouth was suddenly covered with a surprisingly sticky piece of tape. She crinkled her nose and wiggled her jaw in an attempt to loosen it from her skin, but it was evident that it was going to take a little bit of force to pull it off. Then, she was lifted by her shoulders, causing her to squeak with surprise, and she was moved in front of her bento box. She found herself slowly but surely disliking her sensei at this point. Did he know that food was a weakness for her? b*****d.

Her legs were sloppily tucked under her, so she was wriggling to move them in front of her so she could balance better when Ko-sensei crouched before her and the bento box. No s**t there was a problem. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she stared back at him. She was tired, so her patience was thinning and her aggressive side was beginning to evidently manifest. It took quite a bit to push her to this point and all the sudden surprises piling one on top of the other was throwing her off. Chakra…of course this exercise would involve chakra that she was exceedingly low on. As the sensei left the room, Amaya managed to squirm so that her feet were in front of her. This would take balance and patience, both of which she was struggling at this point. While she would have liked to have started in on the knots, she knew that she didn’t have the energy right now. The child would have to force herself to sit and wait while she recovered before she could feasibly begin picking at the various knots she could feel digging into her skin. b*****d.

Coming to accept the situation she was now in, Amaya folded her legs in front of her in order to create a stronger base for herself. One thing that her sensei didn’t know about her is that the girl actually had a lot of practice getting out of situations like these. Her dad used to pull pranks on her where he would string her room with rope while she was sleeping, call her from the shop like was an emergency, and when she attempted to rush out of bed she would become randomly ensnared. That gave her a small advantage, but her father had never tied actual knots. Not to mention he wasn’t a ninja, so he didn’t have any advanced experience anyways. The girl sighed quietly as she tried to figure out the best way to approach her ensnarement. This was just a bother and her food was sitting right there, tempting her. No, he didn’t know that food was her weakness; otherwise he would have done something cruel like open the box. Amaya took a second to remind herself that he wasn’t being mean at the end by teasing her, he was just trying to teach and he was a very excitable person. At least this would make for some good stories at dinner time.

With nothing to do but wait for her energy to come back, Amaya took a chance to take in the classroom. It looked like most others, though it was a bit bare. There weren’t chairs or desks because of the bento circle, but there was still a black board and a window. Why did they put windows in classrooms? Sure, the natural light was nice and all, but it was also so mean! Students were tempted to just stare out the window and day dream all class without paying attention to their lessons! Then again, this was also a part of growing, Amaya assumed. Not everything would be tailored to make everything easy, so it was best to learn how to work with the temptation now. Plus, it kind of separated the students. It showed who was there for the right reasons and who didn’t want to be there. Amaya would never let the taunting sun distract her during a lesson; only when she was resting up for another lesson. Soon, the girl would be ready to begin the new assignment. She wouldn’t be able to get it all in one go, but she was just wanting to loosen the grip so that she was more comfortable during her waiting period. What a bother this was.

15 + 2 = 17 Success

While she didn’t have enough energy to use her chakra through the entire exercise, Amaya did have enough to give her a good start. Thinking back to what her sensei had said, the child knew there were ten knots that she would have to get through in order to get to the food taunting her on the floor. She had calmed down enough to focus on the knots behind her back without panicking. It surprised her just how flustered she had allowed herself to become. Wriggling just a little bit, Amaya determined that the knots stopped at her elbows. At least she had a little bit of mobility to help her. However, those top knots were not her focus at the time. Instead, she wanted to free her hands, so she would have to loosen the knots around her wrist. The rope didn’t really hurt, it was just a bit itchy and annoying now that the initial shock of being bound had worn off.

Taking in slow breath to calm herself, Amaya found an easy pace of squirming and wriggling as she tried to adjust for the best angle. She wasn’t accustomed to knots, so she used her long fingers to trace the piece of rope at the base of her wrist. He had been kind enough to put the first knot in a place she could reach, so that would be of great assistance. Carefully and slowly working the knot as not to tighten it, Amaya was able to slip the edge of the rope free from the first knot. She felt some extra room for her wrists appear with the release of the knot. The girl was slightly proud of her first attempt, but it wasn’t something to write home about. No, she had another nine knots to fight her way through before she could dig into the lunch sitting before her. Damn her stomach.

With one knot loosened and freed, Amaya felt good. Sure, it was only a small amount of progress, but it was also progress. Who could complain about that? However, now the girl needed to focus on the other nine knots while her stomach was reminding her about the food sitting in front of her. Once again she resorted to wriggling and squirming to find the next knot. The tape over her mouth was making it difficult to breath, so the air coming out of her nose was heavy and audible. As she tried to turn and twist her hands in their bindings, the child found out that something she had done actually tightened the rope, making her scrunch her nose in discomfort. This was a frustrating exercise and the girl’s patience was directly proportionate to how much food she had in her stomach, so she was running pretty low at the time. Trying to back track, Amaya continued moving around, but there was one thing she hadn’t been paying attention to. With so much focus and energy centric around the knots that were ensnaring her wrists, the child had missed that she was suddenly a bit off balance. By the time she noticed, Amaya was already leaning to the side and falling was inevitable.

She landed on her shoulder with a gentle thud, slightly annoyed with herself. Not only had to failed to loosen another knot, she had managed to lose her steady base and put herself on the floor. Oh well, it couldn’t be helped now. It was a time like this, however, that she was glad she was the only one in there. Rolling over onto her stomach, the girl pressed with her shoulder and her forehead to force herself upright again. Her hair was already a mess thanks to Ko-sensei, so she wasn’t worried about it getting any worse as she managed to get herself upright. However, since she was back in a sitting position, she would be able to retry that knot that she had somehow tightened in her struggles.

No sooner had the young girl thought she righted herself did she tip over the other way. Once again there was a gentle thud as she hit the wooden floor with her shoulder. Her right eye twitched with irritation as she realized what exactly she had just done. Not wanting to bother with fixing herself quite yet, Amaya began fiddling with the knots once more as she lay on the floor. The knot that she had been tugging at was still cinching down on her wrist, so whatever she was doing evidently wasn’t working. In a slight huff of frustration, the girl went back to feeling along the rope in search of a different knot to work with. However, despite her earnest efforts, all the girl could reach was the one that she continued to tighten. If only to worsen the situation, the child’s stomach let out a dissatisfied growl. It knew the food was near. The girl continued pulling and tugging at the various loops in the knot hoping to grab the right one, but to no avail.

Giving up on that attempt, Amaya knew that she was hindering herself by allowing herself to remain on her floor. This time, so she didn’t over shoot her balance point again, the girl pulled her legs up to her chest so she was in the fetal position before rocking. With her face now to the ground she had her legs between her and the floor. She wasn’t going to stand, but when she lifted her torso this left her sitting on her legs. Once she was comfortable, she slid her legs apart as her feet swung out to the sides. Amaya felt her energy rush from her body as she recalled that she had been using chakra in her attempt to undo the knots that pinned her arms. She would have to keep a closer eye on it since she had depleted half of the energy that she had started the task with already. The child let out another small sigh as she looked around the empty room. What she wouldn’t give for a knife right about now.

6 + 2 = 8 Failure

While she was now in a more suitable position to work with the knots, Amaya still couldn’t figure out the only knot she could reach. This seemed ridiculous, but she would be happy that she had gone through with everything once it was done with. Maybe Ko-sensei was right, she really was more unqualified and weak than she had first figured. It was entirely possible that they past two assignments had more or less blinded her to her actual abilities. Perhaps she had a bout of beginners luck and it had finally worn off. Oh well, she had never expected the academy to be easy. After all, she didn’t have any clan abilities to assist her and work in her favor. No, she came from a family who didn’t have a shinobi clan member in the past five hundred years. That was something the girl wanted to research, however. Maybe there were some fighting styles or techniques that her family had created centuries ago that had been lost with the generations. Then there was always the option that she was plain, normal, with nothing special about her or her family’s history. That really was the more likely of the two.

Having lost herself in her thoughts, Amaya had forgotten about the knots that she was toying with at the base of her wrist. It took her mindlessly tugging on a piece hard enough for it to leave a little burn of the delicate skin of the wrist for her to snap back to reality. Sure enough the knot still held tight and now there were small red pinch marks lacing her wrist. Great, if these didn’t fade by that evening her mother would throw a fit and spiral into a rant about how the life of a shinobi was just too dangerous for her beloved little girl. That was exactly what Amaya needed after all of this insanity. No, she just had to make sure that she was able to complete all of the tasks given to her, maybe some extra ones if she picked up the pace, so that she could prove to her mother that she was working hard and excelling in the class. That was the only way she would be able to convince her. Though the small Keiji came from an ordinary, mundane civilian family she had to be more in order to break the mold.

How could a group of knots be so frustrating?! While still fiddling and playing with the same knot, the girl only succeeded in making it tighter. She could feel the burning sensation as the rope moved across her skin, slowly taking of microscopic layers of flesh. It was irritating to say the least. If she didn’t get this particular knot soon then she would just be left with large red welts. This was when Amaya hit a wall. Should she continue on and work through the ropes no matter what or should she back off and allow the irritation on her skin to subside so that she wouldn’t have to worry about her mother seeing later that evening? Then there was also the chance that if she waited someone would show up and lend her a little piece of advice. There was also the possibility that they would hinder her attempts by distracting her. Actually, throwing all of those options out, Amaya decided that she didn’t want anyone to see her in this predicament. Period. Training or not.

However, it turned out that the girl didn’t have a choice in the matter as she became lightheaded and a little dizzy as her chakra quickly drained. She had pushed it close enough and she knew that another attempt would take her too far. The child gave the rope one more tug before settling on the fact that she had no choice. The girl would have to just be content with the first knot being undone and allow herself to rest. Amaya just hoped that no one else stumbled into the classroom while she was bound in such a manner. Sure, she could stand if she was so inclined to, but this would just be odd. The image played through her head. What would she do if she walked into a room with a small child gagged and bound? Well, maybe she wasn’t gagged but she did have tape over her mouth! She had figured that Ko-sensei put that there to prevent her from asking for help, yelping in surprise, or warning her classmates when he inevitably brought them into the room. After all, there was a bento box for everyone in that evil circle of doom.

Resting Post

With four painfully failed attempts and only one knot loosened from the mess, Amaya knew it was time for a break -- that and the lightheaded feeling that she had adopted recently. The child stopped fiddling with the rope and the knots behind her back and crossed her legs in front of her body instead of sitting on them. While she wasn’t excelling like she wanted to, this would be a good experience for her. Of all the tasks that had put before her this one was the most familiar and she was still struggling. However, struggling meant that she would learn and learning was the first step to integrating the skills into day to day life and combat. That was an odd thought, the messy headed girl would someday engage in a form of combat that didn’t resemble play. Sure, she would wrestle and whatnot with her little brothers, but the closest things she had ever participated in that resembled combat was helping her mother force her father to take his medicine when he was ill. Sure, that was quite the feat, but he wasn’t throwing fists; at least not intentionally. Then, to top it off, he stopped when he accidentally hit the child. If an enemy hit you they would keep coming after you. While that was a terrifying prospect, it was also fascinating. Amaya wasn’t one to hit usually, but when she did it felt good. Was that a good or a bad thing?

While she preferred to ignore the fact, Amaya did have a violent streak when she got angry. The child was usually mild mannered and calm, when she lost her temper it was sudden and explosive. She didn’t just break, she would snap. Her aggression would come through with tremendous force but it would also subside just as quickly as it had set on. Maybe this was a result of her having been the only child for so long and then having she share everything with four other children, but her mother claimed that she always had the same temper. Amaya wished she knew. It wasn’t typical of her to be violent and it would be nice to have more control over it. That was why she used breathing exercises and kept to herself most of the time; even after she got past her shy phase with a person. The child let out a gentle sigh through her nose as she sat alone in the room. At least in the classroom there had been other people to observe.

Resting Post

Anxiously shifting and adjusting her body weight, Amaya made a mental note to work on her chakra stamina. It was annoying having to rest as often as she did; much less in a position as uncomfortable as being bound. Then again, someone who actually wanted you bound for some reason or another wouldn’t care whether or not you were comfortable. That just meant that Amaya had to avoid being captured. Which would mean she had a lot of work to do considering how blindly she was led into Ko-sensei’s trick. Then again, he was also her sensei and she was supposed to be able to trust him. While the girl had originally been irritated, she was coming to understand the reasoning behind the task that had been set before her. Sure, she had been caught off guard and everything had surprised her greatly, but it was for the best. Not everything was going to be scheduled and not everything was going to be obvious as she went through life. That got the child thinking back to her little brothers at home. They coasted through life happy with whatever happened. It didn’t matter if bath time came before story time or bottle time, everything just seemed to happen. This sort of ease and understanding of flow made them very easy children to deal with and that was something Amaya felt she needed to learn. If she could just flow with her environment then things like this wouldn’t fluster her like it had. Maybe if she had been more focused at the beginning she would have undone five knots instead of just one out of anger.

Suddenly, Amaya was pulled from her thoughts by her grumbling stomach. It only made sounds when food was nearby, so she didn’t have to worry about some random, embarrassing gurgle while in class or anything. However, when it did start making noises there was a constant dull pain in the pit of her stomach. Yeah, it sucked but there was never a question of whether or not she was hungry. Shaking her head, the small girl wondered how in the world she had even gotten on that subject. She pulled herself back into reality, noticing that she was still exhausted. Mentally, she slapped herself for not having rested before insisting on being given another assignment, but this was also a good lesson in stamina…or something along those lines.
