Before the Dame Knight and the others were about to leave, she heard a shout. Turning her attention, she spotted Alex running toward them. Looking at his expression, it seemed like he discovered something and needed to tell them... But what could it be?
She waited as the red-headed rested to catch his breath before giving out the information. The paladin bit her lower lips. As much as she dislikes what the message said, she couldn't help how accurate the information was. It did feel like they had lost, but she knew that they would get Pentheus back... Somehow.
However, it was the latter message that made her feel unease. The Sentrians were coming, along with the Serpent Fang. She hadn't meet him, but from what she heard from guild members and reading the report, this would be terrible. Their troop were in chaos and they had very little to no time to recover to stand against the upcoming battle. She wondered if their reinforcement would come in time to aid them.
Isadora cleared her throat. "I don't like the sound of the message. I don't know who this messenger is or how trustworthy his message is. However, if that message is true about Sentrians coming, then we're in terrible shape. I don't know if we have enough time to recover or have reinforcement to come aid us. Our only way is to retreat as much as possible until reinforcement comes. Even with the Sentrians coming and chasing us, we're in no good shape to defend."

Tibarn listened somberly to Alex's word as the captain caught up to them, nodding slowly at the end of it. His wings twitched, and he glanced at Captain Tarr. With confirmation from Alex that the people in charge of setting off bombs in Pentheus were gone, Tibarn was willing to call it a partial victory.
Frankly, it was; this enigmatic 'Shadow Guild' was retreating first, apparently, and so long as they were able to regroup and hold off the Sentrian reinforcements, the city was theirs to reclaim. He straightened up, puffing out his chest just a bit to speak over the crowd, wings arching behind his back.
"Alright! Captain Tarr, do what you can. Don't push yourself too hard to keep the city, but I don't trust it will be hard with the bombs disabled. They can tell us we've lost all they want, but we're far from done here. I wouldn't trust this information if I had a choice, but the rest of our army needs us to join them, especially if these reinforcements are coming. If it's a ruse, we'll be right here to finish the job." He glanced meaningfully at Sunil, and smiled ruefully. "... And we will. All troops, move out," he finished, and began to lead the steady march back toward the northern gates of Pentheus, down streets stained red by rivers of blood.
Behind them, a bright red flare shot into the sky, signaling a carrack to turn and begin a short trip back into port so that Tarr's pirates could sweep the city they called home. The sun was finally sinking toward the western horizon, stars twinkling at the edge of the world to the east. There would be little time to rest before battle once more broke out, but for now, swords could be sheathed.
