Kris had a little sweat drop dripping down her side when Kaori brought up companions. "N-no th-theres nothing wrong with it..." She looked down at her feet feeling embarrassed by her words. She shifted a little bit, adjusting her footing feeling awkward now and not being sure what to do next. "So if shes supposedly going to be on my team, who else are we going to have? Arent the teams normally in 3? How am I supposed to go on missions if I have two people dragging me down?" The last question she had just slipped out, she quickly covered her mouth but what was said was said. She probably came off way to overconfident about her abilities...

"Please do not worry. I fully intend to carry my weight to the best of my abilities in our future missions. If your my sensei, I will cover my end." She said simply and just went quiet for the time being, some heavy handed rock song belting out of her headphones at a barely audible level.

Kaori smirked slightly when she saw the swrat form. She shrugged her shoulders, "All of my shinobi have not reported in as of yet, but I will let you know when I have your squad completely formed. As for them 'dragging you down', I'd suggest training together to learn each other's strengths. Not all shinobi work alone. And to work alone effectively, you must first know how to work with others." Kaori said, voice firm and inviting no argument, She looked at Nova, just waiting for her partner to say something."Just know, that you are only as good as your weakest partner. Support them, help them grow, or you will die." And Kaori wasn't disappointed. She smiled slightly and nodded her head at Nova's words. At least they were something that was actually true and useful, for once.

Kris sighed, she forgot to hold her tongue and got talked to again about it. At least it was the Kazekage, and not some other Shinobi, if it was the Kazekage, Kris could live with it. But her question had remained unanswered about where to go or what to do next. "Kaori-sama, what is going to be my next mission? I mean, does that mean I'm supposed to go out with Tryika here on a mission or am I supposed to go out and train with her? You know the history of my training partners, they always complain about having to fight me and then they just ditch me for training one day and make up some excuse so they dont have to show up to anymore." This actually really hurt deep down, all Kris wanted was to be accepted by someone other than the Kazekage, I mean sure it was great for her to be accepted by the Kazekage, but half of her training partners wimped out before training even started and the other half stopped showing up after one or two sessions and it hurt, allot.
Was it so wrong for her to want a friend? Kris had her doubts about the gennin with loud music playing through her headphones, she seemed like she was hardly even paying attention really....
Tyrika didnt really have much to say about that. She wasn't one to back down and had made it thus far. However this person had past experience with genin apparently. That could prove to be beneficial to her but if she was to get assistance she would need to push for it. "If you somehow manage to drive me off then what business do I have as a Kunoichi. That being said words are but wind. I will show you instead." She said calmly with a nod. She let out a soft sigh and started walking through the door, securing the headband around her right arm. "If you wish to find me Ill be in the dojo.." She said in a somber fashion. Once outside she lit a cigarette and took a long drag of it. She let the smoke fill her lungs and let it out slow and calm. She would finish this one by the time she was at the dojo.
Jacksen walked carefully along the dusty streets, his faithful tiger at his side. His one visible eye mostly closed to shield from the sand. The wind had been picking up lately, it seemed the village was due to a sandstorm, or at least that is what he thought might be happening. While he walked towards the kage tower, his partner nudged him. Looking down at his dark orange with white strips tiger, he wondered what could be bothering him. Looking around all he spotted was some excess string floating in the air, mentally shrugging. He patted his partners head and continued onto the tower. While climbing the stairs, he wondered what the Kage was like, he had never meet her before after all.
Once he had finished climbing the stairs, he took a small break to insure that his appearance was perfect. He didn't want to look like a vagrant in front of the village leader after all. Now he had nothing against vagrants personally, he was just nervous about his meeting. Walking up to the door, he gently tapped on it. Once he got confirmation that he could enter, he gently opened the door and entered before closing it behind him. Looking around for a moment, he forgot his composure. The sheer size of the gardens was startling to say the least. Getting his composure back, he stood with his arms behind his back, while he waited for the Kage to acknowledge his presence.

Kaori looked up as another individual walked into her little oasis, she smiled slightly and shook her head, "Welcome. You must be another new genin, ah, and you have a partner, good to see we have more tamers in Suna. I presume you're here for your headband."Kaori said as she grabbed one from the drawer in her desk. She handed it over, "Does your partner need one as well? Kris, go and train with Tyrika, you need to learn some teamwork, and I have the feeling Tyrika will not be like the rest."

Jacksen bowed politely, before saying. "Thank you Madam Kazekage. I am indeed a new Genin and this is my partner Shadowmire. If I may, could I please have a purple colored cloth for my head band." Hearing her ask if his partner needed one as well, he took a moment to think about it. Before nodding and saying. "I would love for Shadowmire to have one. He and I are going to do lots of training together after all. I don't want him to be confused for a regular tiger." His tone while talking was polite, but reflected little to no emotion. It was as if even what should have been the most happy day of his life still couldn't make him smile. Shadowmire however displayed what he was feeling very vibrantly, by tackling his partner and licking him all over. This startled a genuine happy laugh out of him. Petting his partner, he got back up and regained his composure.

Kris sighed, but it was better than nothing she supposed. She hated being scolded, especially when it was from anyone other than Kaori, but that was that. "Fine. Hope your right, otherwise thats it I'm working alone." She exited the Kazekage's tower with a huff. Nothing frustrated her more than a weak partner or someone that was to afraid to speak up. Tyrika at least seemed interesting, and she was cute that was a bonus.

Kaori nodded and handed the male a purple colored cloth for his headband, and then a matching headband for his tiger. Nova perked up, the massive white tiger padded over and raised her brow-ridge at the other tiger, then playfully batted at the other feline. She didn't see many tigers around here, so it was interesting to see one of her own kind. Kaori smiled softly and shook her head at her partner's playfulness, "If you need training in your elements, Iwao and his partner have earth and water when paired together. However, you don't have to go to him. Nova there has water, but neither she, nor I, possess earth as an element I'm afraid." Nova nodded her head and looked between tiger and tamer, "Grow strong. I will not have a fellow tiger be useless in battle. Even as a healer, you must first learn to harm, then heal those wounds. We tigers are the true rulers of the jungle, we are the true strength, and true grace. I expect much from you."Kaori laughed and shook her head.

Jacksen took the headband with a tiny smile on his face. The usually composed young man only allowing a tiny amount of emotion to show. Bending down, he slowly and carefully tied the extra head band around his partners right front leg. Insuring the fit wouldn't cut off blood flow, or get loose, he stood up. Putting on his own headband, he watched as Shadowmire padded a few steps forward, before trying to engage in play a little with the other feline. Unlike Nova, Shadowmire was a lot smaller in size. This was due to the fact he was also a lot younger in comparison and much less trained. Hearing the comments about training, he nodded, even as his visible eye showed that he was in deep thought about something. Coming out of his thoughts in time to hear the other comments. Bowing to the kazekage he said. "I shall try to not let you down Madam Kazekage. I ask if I may be dismissed so I might go and train ? "

Kaori watched Nova and young Shadowmire play for a moment, it was nice to just let them be as often as possible, but at Jacksen's question she looked back at him, her feline eyes piercing despite the gentle look in them, "You are dismissed to train to your heart's content, I'll call on you when I have your squad roster ready."

Jacksen nodded, before whistling gently, this called Shadowmire to his side. Bowing politely once more to the Kazekage, he then turned on his heel and opened the door. Casting one last look at the oasis in Suna, he let a tiny smile slip before leaving. His assessment of the leader told him everything he needed to know. She was a kind but fierce leader from what he had seen. Taking the stairs two at a time, he reached the bottom of the tower in record time. [Exit to Academy]

Sai walked in to the tower with a smile on her face. After long last...she had made it. After Maud had taken her in, she wasn't sure if she was ever gonna do anything with her life but be ordinary, But here she was. Ready to go on the greatest adventure of her life.
Sai walked up to the Kage's door and took a deep breath. With a huge grin on her face, she rapped on the door with her knuckles and awaited an answer.

Kaori raised her head from the paperwork she'd been working on; she'd gotten behind in it with all the training and running around she'd been doing so she was attempting to catch up, at the sound of the knock on the door. She smirked slightly, another genin it seemed. This was a large class it seemed, finally some of her people were showing promise. "Come on in." She called as she stood up and moved to the front of her desk, stretching her back like a cat as she did so. She'd been sitting for far too long it seemed, her ears and tail twitched in her boredom. She hoped this genin was intertaining to talk to.
