Ran looked around the Academy and saw that no one was here ~better for me~ she giggled slightly ~no one will see, if I fail~ The girl had decided she needed some training before she is ready to go on any mission, as she did not want to drag her teammates down. She looked around and saw some scrolls that had her interested ~hmm... I guess I will go with ninjutsu training for now~
Teikou no Kuntou (Electricity Resistance Training) The girl picked a scroll that had Teikou no Kuntou written on it ~whoa this seems like a skill that I have to know~ The girl was a lightening technique user, so it was just her luck that she picked this scroll as her first. As electricity was produced every time Cloud ninjas used chakra. She decided to make chakra run through her body, at first it stung badly, but she had no choice but to endure and continue. After some 10 minute she came to realization that she no longer felt any discomfort from generating her chakra "I guess I succeeded THEN!" Ran was extremely happy, but generating chakra for 10 minutes non stop did make her tiered, so she decided to sit down on the wooden floor and look through other scrolls. -Learned
Seiteki Suji no Jutsu (Static Strings Technique) "This is it!" the girl exclaimed. Her chakra had recovered, so it was time to move on. Ran was a sensor type ninja, this skill for sure will come handy in the future. ~Hmm... I cant really do it here, I should go outside~ Ran left the building to practice this skill on bird outside. She read over the scroll again, the hand seals were pretty easy, Ran was surprised as some small electricity string showed up from her fingers. She quickly covered the area with them, waiting for birds to touch some of them. After a moment Ran felt an tingly feeling run through her hands ~ha! a bird must have landed on it~ she looked over to see a small bird sitting near the string. ~Looks like the bird doesn't feel anything~ This jutsu was learned, so as to not feel the tingle every time a bird land Ran cleared the area from the strings. -Learned
Mizu Soujuu (Water Manipulation) Ran entered the building again, picking a scroll that had caught her attention. ~This will be useful~ she carefully read the scroll. She decided to sit down in a position similar to meditation, only hear hand were brought up together, closing her eyes she took a deep breath. Her mission was to extract water from the air around her. Ran was controlling her breathing as she tried to feel the water that was always in the air. Her chakra control was good so this was not hard from her, that is the conclusion she came to, because after a moment she felt wetness under her. Her eyes opened slowly as she released her chakra into the original state it was. The genin stood up only to find some water under her "Yay!" was all she could say. -Learned

After a good night’s sleep Ran returned to Academy to hone her skills. She felt incredibly energetic today ~Ran let’s try a harder jutsu today! ~ She was determined to put 100% into today’s training. After what seemed like an hour of looking into different scrolls, she had stopped on a skill called Doku Kumo no Jutsu. ~It’s a rank B skill…~ her eyes were full with determination ~doesn’t matter! Let’s do our best! ~ This skill required some live target, the only place that came into her mind was the backyard were birds often gathered, with a quick body movement she changed her place of practice. “Okay!” Ran let out a small sight, she been sitting here for a while but no bird had landed. Just when she taught of giving up, some birds came, flocking their small wings. The young girl stood up slowly as to not scare the bird away. Quickly performing the hand seals, that were a little complicated for her, before the bird flied away. A smirk appears on Ran’s face, she knew the birds were under her genjutsu, as they were not scared even though the genin approached them. [1/6]
But nothing more than that happened, they just were trapped in the genjutsu. ~weren’t they supposed to at least react somehow, after all the stench should be awful??~ The girls first attempt failed, with slow footsteps she moved back “Kai!” she released the bird from the illusion. She slowly brought her hand into the right position, this time concentrating more on her chakra flow. ~ Doku Kumo no Jutsu!~ Again, the bird became still, but nothing apart from that. Ran let out a sight “Kai!” [2/6]
She sat down with a loud noise, not even caring that the birds had flown away. “What am I doing wrong?” she did not understand. ~No, no we must be positive! Let’s just keep trying!~ This jutsu for sure was hard, but Ran was not the type to give up. By the time she had decided to try again some new birds had landed on the ground. This time her hands movements were smother ~ Doku Kumo no Jutsu!~ her eyes were closed, her mind was concentrating on imaging a cloud descending from the sky, releasing a stench that no enemy could tolerate. She could feel it almost worked, but a sound nearby disturbed her concentration “Noooo~” Again, no result, well at least the birds were still there. [3/6]
~This time for sure!~ performing all actions over again, she could see that the birds were caught in it and it seemed that they were panicking a little. Ran decided to push her luck and release the hand seal, but as soon as she did it the genjutsu was dispelled. “Almost” she mumbled to herself.[4/6]
Ran could not count how much time she already tried to perform this jutsu, for sure a B rank skill for a genin was no easy task. Thought her movements had gotten smooth and fast, so the hand seals were no problem for her anymore, concentration was the hardest part here. ~Yes, they for sure are uncomfortable in my illusion~ thought Ran as she saw them fall from their feet and wriggle on the ground. She returned her hands next to her body, still projecting the image in her head. The unlucky birds still were wriggling on the ground, Ran could feel a smile creep up on her face, but her at that moment her taught went somewhere else, once again dispelling the genjutsu. [5/6]
“It must work this time!” she clenched her fist as tight as she could. She felt that the winds breeze had become chiller. ~No wonder, I have been here already for 5 hours~ the girl had decided to give a one last go. Repeating the whole process from beginning, hand seals, chakra concentration, image projection, returning hands into their original position. Birds were wriggling awfully this time, Ran’s heart did not feel good, but there was nothing she could do, it was all for her village. The last step was for Ran to move freely, while the illusion was still in effect. She took small steps forward, after a while she started to move more, until she could jump, while the birds were still in the illusion. ~Yes! FINALLY I DID IT!!~ “Kai!” The little birds looked confused and relieved; they left the place as soon as they could. Ran brought her palms together in front of her face ~I am really sorry for hurting you!~ she quietly expressed her apology. Happy and satisfied she returned to Academy.[6/6] -Learned
Hekireki Koe no Jutsu (Thunder Voice Technique) This skill seemed useful as Ran often helped to look after neighbor kids that often did not want to listen. The girl did not know on who to practice, she looked around ~no choice~ she sighted a little. Again, the poor animal will have to suffer. After waiting for a while, a bird landed on the window of the dojo ~it will do~ she locked the bird into the genjutsu gathering all her chakra near her vocal cords, letting it all out, the animal was in such a shock that its eyes almost popped out, it flapped its wings as fast as it could, before it flew away Ran released the genjutsu ~sorry!~ once again she had to apologies. -Learned
Raimei Wana Fuu (Thunder Trap Seal) ~Next will be this skill~ Ran was happy to discover it as no one would need to suffer this time. She performed the needed hand seals, before enclosing a small area with the illusion. ~Lets try...~ she took small steps into the area, as she stepped into the area wrapped in the illusion a loud thunder out of nowhere could be heard. "Kai!" The young genin had succeeded in mastering this jutsu. -Learned
Okuyuki Katawa (Depth Distortion) Ran did not want to stop here, her next target was Okuyuki Katawa scroll. She decided to read the scroll a few times to understand the genjutsu. ~Hmm... so its done like that...~ She quietly sat down, channeling and processing her chakra back and forth to her vocal cords until she felt confident that this skill was mastered. It was an easy jutsu that did not require a lot of work, exactly what she needed. -Learned
Raikou Bunshin no Jutsu (Lightning Clone Technique) Ran knew that sometimes there are situations when a shinobi can be completely alone, at that time a clone is what could help. Ran performed the necessary hand seals, that were not hard for her level, she concentrated her lightening chakra "Raikou Bunshin no Jutsu!" Within the smoke a Ran like figure showed up, but it was unstable and wobbly, with no shadow, a failure to say. [1/3]
After a while she tried again, hand seals, were perfect this time, fast and smooth, while making sure she processes lighting chakra, the clone that came out this time was a lot better it had a shadow, but unfortunately as soon as Ran tried to touch it it disappeared.[2/3]
This time around the clone had all necessary attributes and it did not disappear from a light touch. The girl decided to test it "Lets spar!" as soon as she said it the clone lunched an attack as if it knew what she was thinking. It attacked with taijutsu, which of course was a lot weaker then the original version. After a while Ran was sure that it was a success, but to make a stable ground she repeated the process several times more.[3/3] -Learned
The young genin decided to go and ask some more experienced shinobi to help her with training, as doing it alone was pretty lonely and tiring.

It had been just a few days that Ran was here - training. But everything seemed different now, the building looked brighter, the classrooms cleaner, the gym nicer. Why? Because she finally will be able to receive proper training. ~Hm... looks like no one is here yet...~ she had noticed, after her small daze, that no one was here yet. These eyes of mine show me many things. One thing they've shown me...people's limitations are set, fixed, and unchangeable.
XXXXX It appeared that Ran had quite a bit more energy than Bui did. Bui was more of the relaxed type he sat back and analyzed things before acting Ran on the other hand rushed on ahead of him and was sitting when he entered the academy. He looked around the room there was a couple people here but not that many and none that stood out as the Raikage had mentioned. He assumed his other student either be late or had gone off to rest or recover and would return shortly so he paid it no mind and returned his attention to the studen he had present. Bui reached out and snagged a book as he walked by it. As he approached Ran he snagged a second book. The first book he snagged he placed down on the table. The second he kept in his hand as he pulled up a second chair. "Ran, Shall we begin?" He sat and crossed his right leg over his knee resting his ankle on top of his left knee as he opened the book and began to read.

Ran stiffened a little as she saw her teacher approach, holding a book that in no time was placed on the table before her, as he took another one in his hand ~he must like reading~ as she was about to get up from the chair, Bui used another one. Ran glanced a little in the direction of her teacher, as he spoke "Yes! What will we do?" she didn't know what they will do, but that did not matter to her, all she wanted is to become better and go on some missions, maybe even good enough to enter ANBU someday, end serve her country. Just thinking of how she was on a mission with her teammates made her giggle out loud a little, because she had heard from her family that those memories later on are irreplaceable.

XXXXX It seemed that Ran was very eager. Which was good it made a smile spread slowly across Bui's lips. "Well, first I need to know a few things." Bui sighed and closed his book. Placing it gently on the table. It appeared that his reading had to wait for a few moments while he got Ran started. Bui Snagged a leaf from a near buy indoor plant and held it out to Ran. "I want you to clasp this leaf in your hand. I want you to focus your chakra on it, and when something happens let me know." Bui Gently placed the leaf in Ran's hand and returned to his seated position. Once he was sat he grabbed the book he had snagged on his way over to the chair and opened it holding it in front o fhis face as he read periodically peering over the lip of the book at ran to see how she was doing or if she had even bothered to do anything with the leaf.

Ran looked at Bui as he was instructing her ~put my chakra into here ~ this task did not seem hard, but the young genin was still wondering, how will this help her with training "Got it! " She was not the type to refuse her teacher's command. She closed her eyes, slowly moving all of her chakra towards one point -her fingertips, that were holding the leaf gently. Some good five minutes passed "Sensei! " she shouted to Bui, thinking he was not paying any attention as he looked very absorbed in the book. "The leaf...wrinkled?" she was not sure if that was good or bad, so she stood there mantaly preparing for anything that is to come.

XXXXXBui grunted and looked up from his book. Noticing the slightly wilted leaf a smile spread across his lips. "Keep trying, not quite." he saw what was happening with the leaf and if his judgement was correct he knew what would happen when she truely focused. The wilting was the beginning of what would happen to the leaf and being of the same elemental affinity Bui knew that her raiton chakra would cause the leaf to disintegrate in her hands so there would be nothing there. Bui plucked another leaf from the plant and placed it on the table next to him for her to take. "Try again." he said wanting the young girl to practice her chakra meditation she may think it boring or not exactly training at all but it was. Bui knew what he was doing and the girl hopefully would understand when she finished.

"Okay," was all she answered before giving a small nod to her self. ~I can do this!~ The leaf was placed in her hand, her eyes were fully concentrated on the object. Little by little the leaf was completely covered with Rans white chakra. To Rans surprise the leaf started to disappear from the top, it continued until half of it was gone. ~That is it?~ she gave a questioning look to the object. "Sensei, I think this is it?" she diverted her attention to the young man.

XXXXXBui looked up from his book once more and glanced only at the leaf. "Not quite." then immediately looked back down at his book. There wasn't much he could do for Ran at the moment she had to figure this one out on her own. She was taught the basics in the academy of chakra molding but this was advanced. It was a step she needed to take on her own as everyone was different and would figure it out in their own way so all Bui could do was wait, wait and read. That he did and with a smirk on his face. She was figuring this out quickly much quicker than Bui had anticipated. Maybe he wouldn't finish the first few chapters fast. Bui let out a sigh and continued reading the book he had chosen.

Ran was quick to learn and understand, by the attention her teacher was giving to this ongoing action it must be something important that would surely help her. "I will try again!" she took a small glance at Bui who had a small smirk on his face. ~must be a good part ~ naturally by what the man was doing she thought that the book must be very amusing. Not waiting for an invitation Ran plucked another leaf from the plant, as soon as she took it into her hand she started to infuse it with her chakra, for a moment the girl taught that her control had gotten better, as the leaf was starting to crumble little by little, unfortunately when more then half was gone, the genins taught moved to the small spider she saw, slowly descending from ceiling, making her chakra stop moving to her fingertips and into the leaf.
Her eyes moved immediately to Bui, it looked like he did not see this failure as he was engrossed in the book and made no comments. ~let's try again... ~ She swiftly took another leaf into her hand, pretending that it was the same one I have to keep my face straight ~ This time Ran closed her eyes so no nothing would bother her. She could feel the chakra slowly pulsate thought her body, from one point into another, she slowed down her breath; inhaling and exhaling slowly, not hearing anything from the outside world. She continued this way for some 5 minutes, but because she was too occupied with control she forgot to regulate the amount, only the tip disappeared leaving Ran disappointed,she could not understand how could she forget something so basic and it looked like this time it did not go unnoticed. XXXXXBui watched Ran from the corner of his eye as he read. Noticing her frustration he smirked. Knowing if she remained frustrated it would only become that much harder. Chakra control required calm. Maybe she was outwardly frustrated but inward calm? Bui doubted it. It took a lot of training to be able to do something like that. Bui continued to read periodically glancing over at the girl as she meditated without knowing she was doing so. The book was interesting it had a bunch of history from Kumogakure-no-sato and some of the past shinobi that had ran the village. He knew a lot of it but some of the more minor things caught his eye. Bui was a scholar at heart he figured if he could learn from the mistakes of the past he could make the present that much better. That and power. Power was like a aphrodisiac the though of gaining it made him excited. Almost losing himself he looked up from the book closing it silently not to disturb Ran and watched her in silence.

She did not look at her master, but Ran knew that he was watching, as she felt his gaze on herself. She put away the leaf that had the mark of failure on it. Ran took another leaf from the plant ~I hope we won't get in trouble for making this plant go bald ~thought Ran as she looked at the plant, that had lost significant amount of leafs. Not waiting any moment longer she started to calm herself down, pouring her white chakra into the leaf, covering it completely. After so many tries her control was almost perfect. She started to mediated, imagining the leaf crumbling away, after some time the leaf was no more. "Sensei! The leaf.... it disappeared! XXXXXBui smiled as he noticed the leaf had completely gone from Ran's hand. "Well done, again." he said matter of factly. "Practice until you can do it with ease. five times in a row." Bui smirked and looked back down at his book. Ran was making very good progress and thought she may have potential, she was raw but most genin were, but with a little polish she could become a gem.

Bui did not have to repeat his command twice, Ran was more then excited to train. She had felt that her chakra had increased from the earlier training. ~I think I understand why I am doing this...~This time she chose another plant, plucking exactly five leaves. ~Why not add hand sign this time? Maybe it will be easier? ~ Ran decided to perform the sign she had learned in the Academy for basic jutsu, holding the leaf in between two fingers. Her posture was good, the chakra started to naturally take over the leaf making it crumble to the ground. [1/5]
Ran was not going to stop until all five were gone. ~Four more to go! ~She continued to stand in the same position. Circulating the chakra through her body, she felt it running inside her like a playful child, tingling here and there. She had her eyes closed, feeling that she could fail or lose concentration, if she opens them. By the time her brown iris started to show the leaf was already gone. "Oh! "[2/5]
Her voice made her flinch in a surprise. Ran glanced at her teacher who had a small smirk on his face. The girl quickly turned back to pick another leaf, trying to cover her burning cheeks. ~This time, eyes open Ran! ~ Her eye's were wide open, only looking at the object in her fingertips. She could feel again that her chakra is flowing exactly as it needs to, her concentration too was rock solid. It took her almost no time to dispose of the green thing. [3/5]
Ran was starting to feel tired, her knees were becoming weaker same as her chakra, but she was not ready to give up. It was so quite in the room that one could hear a sweat drop falling from Rans forehead. The process of destroying the strange shaped thing was getting so natural for her, that even with the weak chakra she was sending into it was enough. [4/5]
~So fast! ~ she was amazed by what this training had done. She was holding the last leaf in her hands, it took the girl no time to destroy it, as she did not require any real preparation to start moving her white chakra now. "Sensei! Five in row done! " her voice was full of excitement by what she had achieved.[5/5] Chakra +20
