Janis leaned against him for a moment and nodded. Being in his arms helped steady her, but mentally and physically. "I suppose you're probably right." she sighed. "But let's decide that when we are actually ready for it." Janis stepped away and took his hand. "Let's go home. I need to check on the man again. How was he this morning?" she asked.

"Asleep, and a good thing too I remember he threw me into the wall once." Cornelius stated as he let go of her and accepted her hand, but shuddered too. He didn't like the fact the guy had almost dragon like strength it scared him a bit.

Janis flinched an nodded in understanding. There had been many similar insidents. "I'm so glad you were here with me. The first time he woke up I could have sworn he was going to break my wrist." she shook her head. "I hope he wakes up soon. The longer he's unconcious, the more I worry." she admitted. She bit her lip. At least his wounds were healing cleanly.

Cornelius walked to Janis's house and opened the door once he stepped in he headed down to the basement constantly waving his hand at Janis to go ahead and follow him. He hoped the man was okay, but didn't want to get hurt by him. In Cornelius's eyes he was a bit dangerous.

The door opened and Samson opened his eyes tensing. At first he panicked, believing himsef captured but strange people. He forced himself to remain calm and think. A captive wounded have been as well care for as he seemed to be.
Janis looked over Cornelius's shoulder at the man. He was now propped up and leaning against the head board of his bed. He's eyes rested on him and though the gaze was suspicious, they were clear and awake. She sighed with relief. "Thank God."
Samson heard her whisper words. He relaxed a little more. "I assume your the ones that have been taking care of me?" he started.
"We are." Janis replied immediately.

Janis said she found you before me and had been taking care of you. I've been helping, but whenever you've been throwing fits in your sleep you've been tossing things left and right including me." Cornelius hoped by asking this he could figure out where the man's great strength came from it was very unseemly, although, as he looked him over he felt the man was normally more gentle. "You don't have any pains do you?" he asked the older man.

"I have many." Samson answered Cornelius with a sad smile. "But they are not something that can be treated." Samson closed his eyes and considered what to tell them. He took a deep breath to steady himself. As he breathed in there was a familiar scent. Something that brought back many memories. It was the smell of open air, high above everyone else, not mixed with the smells of trees and live below. He recalled flying through the sky. the wind lending him strenght and speed. "Aaah. I see." he said finally. He smiled at the two in front of him with a sense of relief. "How lucky I was found by two of my own kind. My name is Samson. It is a joy for me to meet you...?" he trailed off, to get there names.
"Janis," she said with a smile and stepping around Cornelius. She went over to the table on the other side of the room where the medicines were layed out. "It's nice to meet you too." she said. A little hesitantly she asked... "When you say "my own kind", did you mean....?"
"A dragon?" Samson said was amusment. "I did. And for all my life I thought Liadan would be the only one I'd ever see."

"I am Cornelius," answered Samsom in the form of a warning, "I see now why while you were asleep you could still be so powerful. It's good to find another dragon around here. I had been told by my father to go looking for them should anything ever happen to him, and well, my mother. I never did find any, so... I turned someone into a dragon. Janis wasn't born a dragon, so she's new to this, so don't go saying too much too fast." He frowned slightly and looked away from the older dragon. He wasn't sure still if he could trust him yet. It would come to that eventually though he figured.

Janis flushed as Samson studied her thoughtfully. Still she was more troubled by what Cornelius had said. What was there that he was keeping from her? She studied his face and clearly saw the suspicion and worry there. She sighed. Of course she would net ask here. That was something she'd ask him in private.
Samson looked over at Janis with surprise. She didn't seem to be too troubled by it. Still, a small frown came to her face as Cornelius finished speaking. Depending on how long she'd been one, all the information was best taken slowly. "I see. For how long, Janis?" he asked. She seemed surprised he asked her. "Just a day," she answered with a blush. "Does it suit you?" he asked curiously. "Very much." she replied, now with a genuine smile. "Well then. Seems you have nothing to worry about. Cornelius, I must say this is a very serious thing you have done. I do not disapprove, per say, but I wish to know that you will take full responiblity. Hmmm?"

Cornelius bowed before Samson on one knee realizing he deserved more respect than he'd been given. "Sir, I had no intentions of not taking on this responsibility. She is my girl friend at the moment and soon will be my wife and the mother of my children once we have things more settled. I had intended to build a cave nearby here for that purpose since Janis sits on a nice plot of land. The only thing we have to worry about is Janis's aunt. I haven't seen much of her recently, but she came by once to check on Janis in the past." he explained.

Samson sat up and waved to Cornelius. "Please, don't bow to me. I'm only a simple dragon." he said was a smiled that made his eyes crinkle. "I give you both my congratulations. I wish you nothing but happiness. Now, who is this Aunt that's troubling you?" he asked curiously
Janis handed Samson a steaming cup of herbal tea. "Here. Drink this. It will help dull the pain of your injuries." she said with a stern gaze. "I'm sure they were still bothering you." Samson chuckled and took it. "Thank you, my dear." Janis walked over to Cornelius and took his hand as his stood. Her worried gaze met his. "The woman's name is Diana Thorden. I'm sure you've heard of her?"
Samson was silent, thinking. "Ah yes. That aweful woman who runs that orphanage. Poor girls. She is a good mistress, but she is harsh and unloving. Persistant too. I heard a rumor that she keeps an eye on all of her charges like they are possible criminals. Even after they are living on their own. I assume this is true?" "It is." Janis nodded. "We that IS a pickle, isn't it?"

"I'm not sure if you'd go for the eating part, but maybe the other plan?" He smiled at her hoping to see what she'd think about his thoughts.

Janis rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I would happily eat her if I could." Samson laughed outright. "I don't think that would solve our problem." "Unfortunately. She'd probably give whoever ate her indigestion anyway." she said, turning it into a joke. Samson chuckled. "Probably. I'm also guessing that if we scared her, she'd return with an army of villagers behind her. She seems that kind of person." He sighed. "If only we could convience the poeple that dragons weren't evil...." He sighed. "I don't even know if they deserve a chance to find out." He closed his eyes as his face contorted with pain. "I'm sick of all the misunderstandings. Too much blood has already been spilt over it." Rubbing his hand over his face. "Maybe a scare and a spell will work?"

Corenelius snapped his fingers and asked Samson, "Can dragons make illusion spells? What if we just walked up to her, looked like we were going to eat her, and then made her run away screaming. Wouldn't that solve the problem if she tried to convince others of our existence and did not believe her due to the spell we cast."

"That... might work." Janis said. "We'd have to do it in the middle of town though. Everyone would think she was crazy." This filled her with a kind of mischievous glee. She never liked Aunt Diana or the way she treated the all of them.
Samson nodded. "I think I might be able to do that. However I'd need practice, and I'd need to be in dragon form to do it. My magic has always been more powerful that way." he said thoughtfully. It had been too long since he'd last changed. HIm and his wife had been forced to stay in human form most of the time.
Janis rubbed her chin. "If we make a scene at the edge of town it could work. We could orchastrate the entire thing and knock out a few chores. I need to sell some food and make Cornelius known to... uh.... Wait. Cornelius, did you say the people in town would recognize you?"
