Oh good, it seemed as if Hel had dispatched who ever had been approaching, if it had been anyone at all. She'd have time to ask later, now was not the time to talk. She gave a nod back and turned again, one head facing down one hall and the other down the next.

"Hey umm Shehk do me a favor." She reached down picking up the package she had been carrying with her. "If I dissipate, make sure this gets to my room okay? I think... it was from Red's family... I want to make sure they get it back later."
With her request done, and a sad glance where Mitsu had been standing she inspected the Middle Right Drawer Shun had tried to open for where it might have stabbed him.
"I want to know whats in here..."

demon_pachabel She gingerly pulled one of the possible-journals off of the shelf. Nothing seemed to happen when she pulled the book off of the shelf. Nothing Yet ...held the FEAR candies out towards Malodore... The FEAR candies suddenly lurches up and -- oh. Wait. That came from Thackery's pocket. Nothing happened. Sosiqui The plague doctor then unwrapped a few and tossed them into the open drawer... The candies rattled and clicked into the drawer. Something small, off-green and a putrid black darted forward and snagged one of the pieces before retreating into the darkness. From the drawer came a loud craunch craunch. Silence. BRIKKA-BRACK!There was a clatter, quieter than the sound of the candies falling into the drawer. The sound was similar, but different. (( Now would probably be an ideal time to roll one 20-sided dice. )) Miliardo Kason ...Middle Right Drawer Shun had tried to open for where it might have stabbed him. The drawer was too dark to see into.

Well it looked like taking the journal off of the shelf hadn't killed her. That was good!
Shehk finally looked down to see what she'd actually picked off the shelf, taking a moment to thumb through the pages.

As Malodore was busy with that one drawer, she decided to give up on the desk for now, examining the other drawers again, shifting through the contents of each drawer to see if there was anything note-worthy they might had missed.

"... Do you suppose that did it?" Malodore asked, hesitantly, craning its neck to see into the drawer. Not that it helped, it was still very dark in there. It pulled off another feather, the longest it had (... about a foot, well, it wasn't at flight capability yet) and poked said feather into the drawer with the guardian beastie.

demon_pachabel ...thumb through the pages. There is even more stra- wait. The words seemed to flicker on a page that was just flipped by, however upon going back to take a second look the runes remain stationary. Dragain ...examining the other drawers again, shifting through the contents of each drawer... One drawer had two binders. Another had office supplies. A third was empty. The fourth contained files. One of the names on the files seems very familiar... Sosiqui ...It pulled off another feather, the longest it had (... about a foot, well, it wasn't at flight capability yet) and poked said feather into the drawer with the guardian beastie. There is the sound of metal striking something hard. When Malodore pulls the feather back, nothing is attached to it... but the feather is bent horribly out of shape. It is also dark in color. All is silent. Then something drops down from the ceiling, muffling the both of you. Neither of you can make a sound as the world goes dark. You open your eyes. Next thing you know, you are now here.

Wait wait wait! What had that been? Shehk found herself frowning a bit at the runes that, upon a second look, were stationary, before she flipped back and forth from that page to the next one, pausing once to hold the page at different angles to see if that did anything either.
She'd probably hold onto this on top of her growing bounty. Because she needed to investigate that runic text somehow...

Malodore made a face at the feather, tucking it away into its sleeve for further examination. "I'm not sure that worked entirely..." It glared at the interior of the desk, then sighed. It couldn't see any other way.
Gingerly, Malodore flipped the length of its sleeve around its hand, covering the entirety of its metal hand in several layers of fabric. It then attempted to pick up the glowing bottle that had caused Mitsu to dissipate; if its pick-up was successful, it would then attempt to drop the bottle into that same open drawer. Hopefully the light would illuminate the contents and get rid of the guardian beast in one stroke.

demon_pachabel ...she flipped back and forth from that page to the next one, pausing once to hold the page at different angles to see if that did anything either. Nothing. At first, at least: but then the words on a different page flickered, and this time Shehk was able to recognize the shapes of letters before they twisted back into their protective runic state. Malodore was able to successfully pick up the bottle... however the bottle was now stuck frozen to the plague doctor's red-and-black sleeve. While holding it over the drawer, a dark shadow moved further into the back of the drawer. Aside from the discarded and half-chewed Fear candies within the drawer, the front portion within the light appeared to be empty.

She frowned, keeping the file with the familiar name on it, putting it into her bag. The blinders were then removed, so that she could flip through them, trying to see if there was anything interesting inside.Lucyal Text to Hel: Something?! Did it get Taryn too? Are both of you alright? Seemed like they didn't have much time to lose... They were losing enough people for Cricket to possibly become suspicious, and they had lingered here too long.
She threw Shehk a glance, wondering if she was going to give out any instructions soon, since they might had just overstayed their welcome... But the ghoul looked like she was busy with something - a book? - and Lizzy didn't want to yell for her attention... Besides, if something had really attacked those on look out duty, they could be next. Best to send out a warning then use a roundabout way to do it... And what better way than via text?TEXT TO EVERYONE PLEASE READ Text: Our look outs had been taken out by something unknown. Please proceed with caution; take what you need to right now. We will be leaving in 5 minutes; everyone needs to be out by then so Shehk can lock the door. If you spot anything suspicious, let someone know. Keep an eye on the door and windows. PS. Please report EVERYTHING that you are taking from this office! I will be doing the same; this is to make sure that we have an accurate record of items/artifacts/etc for future references. PPS. If you wish to further investigate any items in your own time, please report it as well; we will lend you our full support! Two heads are better than one, so I imagine 20 would make an even larger impact. [ OOC note: Everyone's phones are on silent mode, ok. 8T Next Seeds meeting ICly takes place AFTER Defenders, because I bet they'll have things to share about Defenders as well. For plots involving whatever "loot" you found in Red's Office, I would appreciate if you talked to me first/gave me a heads-up before approaching Maru about it. ;; ICly, everything will be "reported"; if your student hides something to keep for himself/herself, that's FINE but TELL ME BEFOREHAND, and not after it's been taken. I'll feel very... Cheated otherwise, because this is technically still a Seeds mini-plot/rp. OOCly, I also want to know what people are indirectly/directly doing with Seeds, even if Lizzy is "kept in the dark". All plots are plausible, and I rarely say no... I just get upset when I'm not told beforehand. We will leave in about... 2 or 3 Maru updates... If we survive that long. 8D <3 EVERYONE THANK HER FOR THIS AMAZING OK. 8T]

Shehk looked at her phone, then nodding towards Lizzy. They'd been there a while, it was time for them to get moving. She wasn't sure what all she'd found, however, but she had a few books with strange handwriting to decode in them for now.
As long as they didn't get caught, they could come back later. Or she would, rather. After seeing what everybody else had brought back with them. Never the less, she messed with the pages to try and read again before she started packing up and getting ready to go.

Malodore swore under its breath as it realized the bottle was stuck. Carefully, it loosened its grip and slowly tried to lower the bottle into the drawer itself, paying it out and down with the loose fabric it was frozen to. "There's something in there. I want it-" it whispered, quietly.
This would either illuminate the thing, or destroy it. Or so it hoped. (It was probably wrong. But wishful thinking prevailed.)
