"Hurray!" Alex had made it all the way to the beach without any other pokemon. There were Wingulls flying overhead and a Shellos on a rock in the distance. Everything seemed to be rather peaceful on the beach as it looked like there wouldn't be any thing that would want to attack him. Which was good cause he didn't have anything that could stand up to a water type easily. Maybe he should have caught that Hoppip from earlier.

Alex walked over and sat down on a rock. Lin was swimming in the water. The two puppy pokemon were chasing Nincada that popped up out of the sand. They couldn't reach any before they dug themselves into the ground. Stripes was just sitting on a flat rock near Alex. The Zigzagoon seemed to be rather docile rather quickly which was a good thing for Alex. Everything seemed rather calm... At least until a Wooper popped up out of seemingly nowhere and shot water into Alex's face.
Alex tried to tell one of his pokemon to do something but instead of anything intelligible what came out sounded like "Warghahlagarble" but the pokemon seemed to understand as Stripes launched himself at the water pokemon. The Wooper mostly dodged it but it did hit its head fin things on the side of a rock. As it turned to look at the Zigzagoon Lin came up out of nowhere and tackled the water fish pokemon into a rock. That seemed to take care of it as it ran off about as quickly as it came after that.

If was a few minutes of peacefulness before the Wooper came back. This time Stripes saw it before it could do anything so he attacked the thing's head fins as it looked like they were more sensitive then the rest of the thing, or it could have been an act but whatever, it hit and the Wooper shot a Water Gun at Stripes. Stripes wasn't able to dodge but it seemed like his fur absorbed most of the water and didn't hurt much. He was able to get in another tackle before Lin got back and Tackled it from the opposite side at the same time as Stripes. It looked like the Wooper was knocked out this time so Alex carried it a few yards away before he went back to the rock and sat on it staring at the water.

Alex was staring at the water for a minute before he realized something. "I gotta pee," he said to himself as he hopped off the rock and walked over to a bigger rock and was about to go when he saw something staring at him. "Uuuhhh... Hi there..." he said as he took a step back and then yelled, "LIN!" Lin popped up from behind the pokemon and tackled it out of the water. It was a lotad, and it was quickly tackled by Duskie before it ran away. With his business done Alex went over and sat on the rock again cause it seemed that when they didn't have to beat something into running away the pokemon were having fun on the beach. Jenkins even walked up to Alex carrying a potion. A PINK potion. "That's a Hyper Potion Jenkins... Where did you get that?" Jenkins just barked and then went back to running around the water.

Alex hopped off the rock and yelled out to his pokemon, "All right! Let's start going back to the Pokecenter. We can come back once we're done there." Lin and Jenkins were obviously a little sad at first but perked up when they heard that they could come back. At first the trip seemed to be rather quiet as they got about halfway to Route 1 before a pokemon came out. It didn't seem to see Alex or his pokemon and they just looked at it because it was sparkly. Alex pointed the pokedex at it and the picture was different then what it looked like. 'It must be a rarer version of that pokemon,' he thought as he pulled out a pokeball and tossed it at the pokemon.
It broke out of the first pokeball and Lin tackled the blue Blitzle but it vanished and appeared a few feet away. Duskie tried tackling it this time and it vanished again. Alex pulled out a pokeball and waited as it seemed that it had to pause after it moved like that. It was probably using Quick Attack. Lin shot a Water Gun at it and it used Quick Attack again to dodge it and Alex tossed the pokeball and hit the pokemon. This time it seemed to stay in the ball. "WOO HOO" Alex shouted, "I should take this to the lab to see how special this pokemon really is."

Alex walked back to Blyse. Everything on Route 2 was rather calm. Nothing much happened. Route 1 though, a Shinx popped out of the grass. "DUSKIE! JENKINS!" Alex shouted as they were about to attack the thing. "Let Blue have a chance." He said as he pointed towards the Blitzle. "Use Quick Attack" he said as he then pointed towards the cat pokemon and watched as the zebra like pokemon vanished and appeared right as it hit the cat. The Shinx didn't last long. Whenever it tried to attack Blue it missed and got hit by a retaliatory Quick attack. After three attacks it fell to the ground looking really tired. Blue walked back to Alex looking proud. "Good job!" Alex told Blue as he pet the pokemon and got to Blyse without any other incident. Post: 1 Screaming was heard on a cruise, coming into port from Kanto. Jumping from the cruise, onto the dock was a... Cubone? Not just any! This one had a dark red cape as he ran, people chasing. "Cu cu bone Cubone!" he shouted or rather "You shall thank the day The Shade came to save you!" He gave a laugh, jumping around the city, slowly but surely out running his pursuers. The people of Etrua wouldn't know what would soon hit them! Despite not yet having a bone as a weapon, the Cubone would be a hero. Not just any, he'd be a super hero! Post: 2 Running down an ally, The Shade got rid of the people chasing him. Sitting, he gave a chuckle. Soon they'd be screaming for joy. Anyways his first priority was to learn an attack. He only knew how to wag his tail and growl. You can't do much with that with no offensive move. He just needed one. He also had no bone, the pride and joy of his species. Stupid Rockets who had stolen his. "Cubone bone bone cu bone cu. Cubone cu cu bone cubone." he mumbled, saying in Poketalk "A trainer would help but The Shade doesnt want to be caught. The Shade must find some way to learn and find that bone on his own." He looked around. It was just him and a dumpster. The Shade got up. Post: 3 The Shade sneaked from the ally, keeping close to the walls. He intended to make his way onto route 1. People gave the Cubone odd looks as he passed, cape fluttering in the wind. Striding through the crowds, he decided he needed a long term goal. So far he was just winging it. There HAD to be a couple baddies here, right? In every region there was some sort of Team -InsertNameHere- wandering about, causing a ruckus. This Cubone was determined to find one. A friend wouldn't be too bad either. Every hero needed a sidekick of course and this hero was no different! But nobody here stood out. He wanted to explore the region and the only people would normally did that... were trainers. But he wouldn't let his hopes go down though, there had to be another traveling Pokemon around here! Post: 4 The Shade walked around blindly, seeing the gym. Maybe, he'd try it. Then again The Shade was a Pokemon. So he'd probably just just caught. A trainer caught saggy of him and soon the Cubone was being chased. Eventually he got away and was found in a new part of town. He looked around as he entered the new area. Alex walked around Route 1 again. He wanted to train Blue and thought that this would be the best place for the moment. It was a Skitty that was the first thing that popped out, and it seemed that Duskie and Jenkins were learning to not attack feline people at first sight as they let Blue attack it and force it to run away. Alex looked at then and found that they had taken out another Skitty that he didn't see at first. A Bidoof. Another Bidoof. Wait... It looked like the same one from earlier... Again. What was up with this thing? Did it want to get beat up or something? Alex just sighed and pointed at it. Blue seemed to understand and unleashed a barrage of Quick Attacks knocking the pokemon up in the air and juggling it up there for a while before letting it hit the ground. It didn't look like it was going to run away and was just angry, but after a second it fell to its side and Alex and his pokemon kept moving along their way.

This time to first thing to come up was a Pidgey. Alex looked over at Blue and asked, "Can you do an electric move yet?" to which the zebra pokemon shook its head. "Well can you beat it without one?" The pokemon nodded and watched the Pidgey. Once it was low enough to the ground there was a series of Quick Attacks that blindsided the bird and knocked it out. "Good boy." Striped found another potion and brought it over to Alex. "Wow... You sure do seem to find a lot of items do you?"

Blue must have Quick Attacked something that Alex didn't see cause he vanished when Alex blinked. When he turned around Blue was fighting a Rattata that was able to sneak up on them. It didn't take long at all, but Blue won. And another Rattata jumped out of the grass. They must have been friends cause the second Rattata attacked Blue. Duskie didn't let that happened and Tackled the Rattata before it could hit the Blitzle and it joined in by using a Quick Attack on the mouse pokemon before it could recover and knocked it away.
