Dante forced the panic that had slowly been building inside him back down. If Belle was still capable of complaining about the outdoors, she'd be alright. "Look, I need to make sure you're not too hurt, alright honey?" he said, helping her to a sitting position. "I'm going to get a fire started so I have enough light to take a look and we'll decide what to do from there, okay?" He motioned for Dahlia to come closer so that Belle could get a better look at the dragon. "This is my Dragonair, Dahlia," he said to Belle by way of introduction. "She's going to lead you back to the campsite and keep you safe, alright?" The Pokemon made a gentle crooning sound as well to convey that she was harmless.

Belle winced as Dante helped her up. "Okay." She blinked, eyes attempting to adjust the dark. Uff. If that damn tree had screwed with her eyesight, she was going to sue it. And Blyse City. She glanced over at the Dragonair, tilting her head curiously. N'aww, it was adorable~ Grimacing, she stood, gripping the tree for temporary support. She sighed, seeing a few strands of her white hair caught in the bark. Great. Now her hair was messed up. Dahlia stretched her head out towards Belle, nudging her gently in the direction of the camp. As the girl and Pokemon slowly found their way back to the tent and Max, Dante moved off, grabbing anything that would burn. Guess I can't even leave her alone for a second, he thought to himself as he loaded his arms with kindling. I swear, that girl gets hurt too often. After a minute or so, the trainer's arms were sufficiently loaded and he made his way back, being sure to avoid any trees that may have been in the vicinity.
Back at the campsite, Dante found Belle seated nearby, with Dahlia's long body wrapped around their small clearing as though to keep the girl from running off again. There was no sign of Mewtwo, which Dante could only take to mean that the psycat was hiding in the brush somewhere nearby. Mewtwo? Once I get the fire up, come on back. We'll introduce you the proper way this time, he thought as he carefully arranged the firewood. Once that had been managed, the trainer turned to his Dragonair. "Mind lighting this one for me?" he asked her. With a gentle sigh, the Pokemon opened her mouth and let loose a small stream of burning projectiles that caused the dry wood to instantly burst into cheerfully crackling flames. "Thanks darling," Dante said, rubbing the Pokemon on her head before taking a seat on the ground nearby.
"How you doing Belle?" he asked, taking a careful look at her head. It didn't look like she'd been hurt too badly - maybe a little bruising, but nothing beyond that.

Level: 51 Moves: Atk: TM30 Shadow Ball/Atk: Psycho Cut/Atk: Barrier/Atk: Disable Trainer: None ***** Mewtwo drifted silently into the camp sans his disguise after checking to make sure that he wouldn't disturb the slumbering man by doing so. The other Trainer was still deep enough asleep that nothing short of sharp physical contact or psychic interference would wake him. 'Good,' thought Mewtwo. 'Dante will jump onto his moral high horse if I have to erase his friend's mind again.' The cat fully understood why Dante actively preached against mind-wiping, if done incorrectly it could permanently damage the mind of the intended victim. There were also the many moral and ethical arguments against it that the two had spat at one another any time it happened. When it came to keeping himself safe from humanity Mewtwo felt his actions justified. He suffered only a few to know of his existence only because a few were trustworthy enough to know him, not the rest of the world. ***** Not everyone can "hear" when Mewtwo's speaking telepathically as not everyone's sensitive to psychic phenomena. When he talks to someone personally a weak psionic link is formed between that person and himself. They'll "hear" him talking even if they don't know what he's saying. Over time it may turn into an actual telepathic connection that neither party involved will have complete control over at first. However this does NOT mean that EVERYONE he's spoken to will have this link and no, Joe Blow that just walked onto the scene WILL NOT know he's speaking right off the bat 9/10.

Belle inched after the Dragonair, wincing and poking her head every few seconds. She sat herself down, barely acknowledging the fact that she was sitting down in a Route. She sat forwards, resting her head in her hands. Glancing up momentarily, she saw Dante's Pokemon wrap its long body around the campsite. Was it, like, some weird worm? Naw, too cute. She watched curiously as the Dragonair set Dante's collection of twigs and whatever on fire. Oooh~ Cute and powerful~ When he asked her how she was doing, she grumbled, "Fiiine. But my head hurts, and I feel kinda dizzy." She blinked when Miato entered the camp again, tilting her head. Dante leaned a little closer to Belle, concerned. He knew next to nothing about treating injuries and it was possible she suffered a concussion from hitting the tree. Rae would know about it, but she wasn't with them at the campsite and likely wouldn't appreciate it if Dante called her this late. I guess just hope she's doing alright, he thought, worried. "You'll be alright, it's natural to take a few bumps along the road," he said encouragingly. "It'll make you tough for later."
Privately though, Dante was consulting Mewtwo. What do you think? he asked the Psychic. Can you tell psychically if she's been injured?

It would just fluster and frustrate the man unnecessarily and it was too late in the day for that frankly. A simple sweep of the girl's head allowed Mewtwo to see the extent of her self-inflicted damage. She would be fine and he let the Gym Leader know as much. "Anything else you'd like to know? The dreams of your sleeping friend perhaps," he asked, as dry as the tundra with his tone. ***** Not everyone can "hear" when Mewtwo's speaking telepathically as not everyone's sensitive to psychic phenomena. When he talks to someone personally a weak psionic link is formed between that person and himself. They'll "hear" him talking even if they don't know what he's saying. Over time it may turn into an actual telepathic connection that neither party involved will have complete control over at first. However this does NOT mean that EVERYONE he's spoken to will have this link and no, Joe Blow that just walked onto the scene WILL NOT know he's speaking right off the bat 9/10.

Dante gave a sharp glare in the cat's direction at the last remark. For Arceus's sake, what I just asked you to do was something important, he thought angrily. Belle could slip into a coma for all I know about head injuries, and then we'd have no way to help her. This is what you should be using your powers for, not just to mindwipe everyone you run across. It was difficult for the Gym Leader to keep his mouth shut during the tirade - shouting at the psycat always seemed more effective than playing on his home turf - but given Belle and Max's nearby presence, Dante didn't want to raise a fuss. Dahlia squirmed uncomfortably nearby, clearly recognizing that her trainer was upset. She made a soft humming noise to try and calm the Gym Leader down, but as focused as he was on the issue at hand, Dante barely noticed it.

If eye glowing and whipping winds happened then he'd have to leave if only to blow off steam. "I don't erase the memories of everyone who sees me either. Keeping myself out of people's eyes is something I do on a normal basis. "That's different and you know it!" Dante snapped, momentarily forgetting that the conversation they were having was mental. He gave a quick, semi-embarrassed glance about the camp, but Belle still seemed dazed from her injury and Max remained asleep. "I'll be gone for a few minutes Dahlia," Dante said, rising from his seated position. "Keep an eye on Belle for me and let me know if anything goes wrong." The Dragonair gave its trainer a worried looking and hummed louder in protest, but Dante was composing another mental message to Mewtwo: Let's take this elsewhere. He had too much to say to the cat and no longer wanted to have to restrain his emotions.

If there was trouble then a quick return was possible but it was doubtful that anything on this route would attack something being guarded by a Dragonair. He knew well ahead of time that all the human wanted to do was scream ethics and morals but for the sake of getting the argument over with he started it. "I suppose you're going to tell me that what I've done is wrong and that my actions are reprehensible? That I need to respect the privacy of others despite my need for security through secrecy?" The bland, bored tone he was trying to pull off mostly worked. There was only a hint of his irked feelings on the matter of being corrected bleeding over. ***** Not everyone can "hear" when Mewtwo's speaking telepathically as not everyone's sensitive to psychic phenomena. Dante's eyes narrowed at the Legend's tone of voice, but there was no other outward sign of his anger. "That's exactly it," he said cooly. "You may not have quite the same understanding as non-psychics, but a person's mind is their last sanctuary and should not simply be trifled with as though it meant nothing. You waltz in and out of other's minds with no regard for their safety and a single-minded focus on your security - which I will agree is important, but not to the extent that you should be altering memories left and right. There are other, better methods of getting people to forget about you."

It was a cross of, "Do you fully understand what you just said," and "I think you've gone off your rocker." What made it truly work was how it was conveyed through his eyes and slightly opened mouth. It was as if the man had somehow forgotten he was psychic. "I think you are vastly mistaken. On both accounts," Mewtwo finally said, a slight hiss escaping him without notice. A cold, slow burning anger was stirring slowly in the pit of the psychic's stomach. It was the kind of fury that would sit for days and slowly build until the topper popped off in either a wash of destructive blue light or a torrent of venom in the form of words. "If there are better methods of keeping people quiet on a free Legendary with no global affecting duties then please elaborate them for me."***** Not everyone can "hear" when Mewtwo's speaking telepathically as not everyone's sensitive to psychic phenomena. "It doesn't take a mindwipe to make people forget you," Dante replied, irritation rising. "If you make yourself uninteresting enough, they're not going to bother to remember you. You also fail to remember that I'm a Gym Leader. If I ask someone to ignore you, they're more likely to comply than you know. And if you'd stop leaping across rooftops for five minutes, no one would be bothered to even look at you funny!" The last sentence came out as a shout, startling even Dante. He hadn't realized that he'd gotten so worked up and took a moment just to breathe and calm himself down.
"Listen, we're a thousand miles away from anyone who might recognize you," Dante said when he'd regained his composure. "While you may have needed to mindwipe anyone who saw you in Kanto, things are different here. You have a population who, for the most part, knows nothing about you, and you've got a Gym Leader looking after you. Invading someone else's mind is unneeded."

Belle nodded distantly at Dante's words to her. Toughen her up? That wasn't what she wanted! She wanted the dainty, petite life that she normally had - not to be tough. Ugh, like that would get her her happily ever after. After a few minutes of staring blankly at her hands, she began to think. What exactly did she hope to accomplish by doing this? That she could . . . what? Do what she wanted? Well, she did that anyway. She shifted uncomfortably. She didn't know what she wanted out of her journey now. Strength? Companionship, like she'd thought? Sure, a few of her team were into that sort of thing, but Celisse couldn't care less about her trainer, which, admittedly, hurt. Maybe later, though, she would come around. She glanced up when she heard Dante yell something, but didn't pull out of her thoughts enough to hear what it was he actually said. Somewhere in the back of her mind, it registered that the faint tingling had been going on intermittently for a while, before Dante and Miato up and left. The faint tingling continued, but Belle didn't pay attention to it. Instead, she heard more shouting - Dante's voice. Surely the man could handle himself? The elongated worm looked somewhat troubled, too. She stood, and felt the weird tingling a moment too late. "Uff," she groaned as she promptly crashed to the ground again. Stupid balance. Carefully, she stood again, glancing around the campsite. Reaching to her bag, she withdrew her Pokeballs and set out her team, who looked around at their surroundings with varying degrees of surprise and pleasure. Lily, Lucius and Angelina ambled over to the fire, all curling up around the warmth. Belle smiled at them. Gabrielle looked uncertain for a moment, before edging her way over to a spot a little further away from the others, but still within Dahlia's circle, and sat down, head bowed. Celisse, of course, made a beeline for the fire, too. The trainer tilted her head, frowning. The Charmander did not slow when she approached the fire, instead she sped up. Belle swore under her breath, hurrying over to her and scooping her up just before she shoved her head at the embers. "No! We've been over this, we do not eat the fire." The creature made an agitated noise, lunging free of the girl and plopping herself between Lily and Lucius, looking more than a tad angry. She shook her head, turning to see where Belladonna had gotten to. When she couldn't see her, panic set in, and she moved around the campsite, freaking out, before she saw the familiar grass. She approached it cautiously, calling out, "Uh, Belladonna, sweetie? You in there?" The leaves made an affirmative wiggle, which relieved, but also alarmed her. "Okay. If someone is about to step on you, just . . . pop up, okay? I don't want you to get your pretty leaves squished." Another wiggle made her nod, before sitting down again. Not a moment later, she stood, looking at her team. They all seemed fine for now, and her head was throbbing less, which was good. Making a decision, she picked her way over to the Dragonair. She did a half-jump over her body, before promptly taking off into the woods again. "Dante? Miato?
