Once more, Riley paid no heed to Zar for the moment. His quip would have normally been responded to, but Riley's mood had changed. It was a small change, and hard to tell with her expressionless face, but her eyes had gone dark and her brow was permanently furrowed now.
At first, she hadn't believed Invictus. Even though she asked, she wouldn't have believed an answer - until she heard him face the ambassador himself. She now considered the possibility that this was, quite definitely, a surprise to the Heirs as well.
At least she did not have one more thing to argue with him about.
She fell silent - she hadn't any more time for chitchat, or getting to know her new best friend Zar any longer. In fact, Invictus, though once on the forefront of her mind, took a very rare backseat to this information. And the more she thought about it, the angrier she got.

Smiling, Xiu opened her mouth to greet Sheridan when the ickycom suddenly let out a painful screech. At once, the baku clapped her hands over her ears, visibly cringing. When she heard Arel's muffled voice through her covered ears, she tentatively lowered her hands. Was it safe--
--No, clearly not. Ow.
This time, when Arel began to speak again, Xiu waited until he got a full ten words out first before she dropped her hands. Silent, she listened to the secretary intently, her heart leaping a little at the mention of the school remaining open. Thank Jack for that--the whole thing about Amityville potentially closing down had posed as a huge scare, and it was good to get some confirmation that that was not in the plans.
When the guest rose from his seat, Xiu visibly tensed, pink eyes following the demon as he moved forward. Again, she was silent, as he spoke--at least, until he mentioned a "culture and exchange program" with...with the Four Clans? Eyes popping open, she turned to look at the mermaid and the dragon, lowering her voice to a whisper. "A-are they serious? The Four Clans--the horsemen?" But...why? One had to admit though, the thought of Amityville being protected by the Four Clans was...
Xiu didn't budge, even when the frost demon told them to leave. She didn't have a question for either Arel or the guest--not yet, anyways--but her attention was drawn towards Invictus as she heard the Heir of Conquest speak up. That was right--if this was an exchange program in the traditional sense, then it would mean that there would be switches from both sides. Unsure how to feel about this, the baku looked to Amphi and Sheridan again. "...What do you think?"

"You know," he told Miss Danny, "your special boil that is just yours?"
West, who had finally introduced himself, seemed to prefer muttering his complaints. Yin was about to say something forward when the assembly began.
Everyone may have known about the four Horsemen Clans. Even Yin had heard of them. Approximately one time. When his teachers told them about the factions of Halloweeners when he was probably somewhere between the ages of six and eight. So it was safe to say that he really did not get the importance of what was going on.
Well, there was one safe thing to do. He looked back toward Alexander, but caught sight of Miss Levi instead. Twisting in the other direction he saw the boil, and reached out to place a hand on his knee, trying to get his attention. When there were not quite so many people around he would need to ask him a few questions, or ask that he help him find another book. He probably needed to know more about these clans, and learning what an exchange program was probably would not hurt either.

Shun furrowed his brow at this news. It was.. definitely unexpected. He cast a glance to Mitsu to see how she was reacting to all of it. Personally, he wasn't completely certain. Staring at the speaker up front, he just silently thought all of this over. While additional aid was fine and all, he couldn't help but feel there was some sort of catch to all of this. As Invictus brought up a good point, he grimaced somewhat at the thought. Training with the horsemen could be very valuable indeed. Potentially, at least.

Zar noticed the shift in attention in the room, the general student population taking their chance to ask their various questions. He found he didn't care to hear any of it, he wanted nothing to do with whatever these plots were, whoever these clans were who had the audacity to offer them anything.
So with a single graceful movement he was on his hooves. He stopped, cast a lazy glance at Nuru.
"I have nothing to ask other than aren't puppies meant to be loyal?" and with that little passive aggressive tidbit, he turned and swept out of the assembly, leaving a few settling paper feathers in his wake.

Text to Bul Looks like its the horsemen. He typed quickly once his eyephone began to bark back at him and took a quick glance up to the stage before continuing. Text to Bul The one with the fancy robes is up there talking about blah blah blah reasons. if we are good enough to be in a treaty with them. Sounds kinda harsh to me. If only he knew the half best was just lazing back, watching some kind of gore opera on the skellyvision. But the text continued. Text to Bul Welp, as long as i don't have to bury your body in the forest, then its all good. Why it tried to autocorrect to say "So what are you wearing?", Damien had no clue, but he furiously went to delete the text and re enter it properly with what he wanted it to say. "Ugh, Candlejacking autocorrect." he muttered mostly to himself.

Nuru cast a very dumbfounded expression in Zar's direction as he stormed off. Getting up himself very quickly. He shot everyone else nearby a fleeting apologetic look before he was off running after the demon.
"Jack damnit Zar! Ihmma bite you for that!" He barked at the quickly leaving demon. He didn't care that this meant he caused a bit of an embarrassing scene on his way out the gym. All that mattered right now to him was that he wanted to kick Zar's a**.

Praise Jack that the assembly had started. Danny did not want to talk about Rikki right now. Roch returned to sitting just in time, and she threw her legs over him, in a possessive motion. Something that ghoul had said had brought the sad face back again. Danny threw a scowl at Lark and Kettil.
She listened to the presenters ... sort of ... but she spent most of the time whispering amongst her friends, and trying to hit the nerd 3 rows down with a wad of paper. It wasn't the most interesting assembly to say the least.
Once it was over, she turned to Yin and said, "I don't get it. The horsemen have already been here forever, why're they telling us now?" Clearly she didn't get the impact of the treaty. "Who wants pizza?" she said, already standing up and stretching. Sitting for so long was hard.
Everyone else who was sitting around her I don't know

Alex always seemed to find the most interesting group to sit down with. To one side, the purple haired boil and the newly arrived boil seemed to be getting into an argument over something Alex was sure he had no interest in whatsoever. However, if it did turn to fighting, it could be somewhat entertaining to watch. Better then watching Yin, in front of him, getting closer to Danny, defending Danny, obviously caring deeply for her. He said anybody would be lucky to have Danny choose them..does that mean Yin..likes her? He contemplated that thought, and his chest got a little bit tight. Weird. Luckily he was distracted by something finally happening up on stage, and cringed when the squealing noise issued forth of the ickycom. Urraaggghh, was there anything more distressing then that sound? His eyes flickered towards Danny and her tail. Uh ya, actually, that about beats everything. Focusing on the stage, Alex lent forward, his elbows on his legs and his hands clasped in front of him. Overall, the actual talking part went by rather quickly, and left Alex frowning, and dwelling in his own thoughts on the matter, hearing some students coming forward with the questions he already had on his mind. Suddenly, Alex felt something on his knee, and startled, jumped a little in his seat. But it was only Yin, and Alex gave him a small, half hearted smile, and nodded, already guessing what the other boil wanted.

It was getting somewhat harder to focus and talk with so many faces so close to his. "Nononononono, is not it!" Mort hastily said to Freya, not wanting to have another Circe blow up like at the movie club. "Th-Things kept coming, had stuff, n' stuff h-happen -"
And then the Ickycom screech made him stop with a wince, almost re-lopping off his loose left ear in the process again. What Arel and the demon had to say, however, made him perk.
More Horsemen? Horsemen protection? Culture and exchange?
His thoughts went immediately to one particular heir of sorrel beauty, and had he not been somewhat busy with friends he might have made a sort of googly-eyed look himself. "I-Is good news!" he commented afterwards, bright-eyed looks given to those around him. "Are strong, a-are on same side. Can learn from, be stronger too."

Amphi smiled as Sheridan sat down before looking up in surprise. Her ears fins didn't really pick up Arel's screech like it seemed to effect her friend and winced in sympathy as she covered her ears.
Her blue eyes widened though as he spoke of the Four clans before thinking to herself. Four clans we're strong, and just having one of each of the heirs here greatly improved their strength.
Then again, She had seen when the four horsemen had been carried away by the man with the scythe.
She looked at Xiu before looking down at her hands.
"It you could go, would you?" Amphi met her friends eyes before looking away again, "I think its a good idea for now, but....I've never met the horsemen, have you? I've heard they can be very temperamental considering...."

o.o Playing the role of Half beast informer was a chore indeed, but it was becoming clear that he wasn't going to show up. And someone had to inform him of the going ons. Text to Bul s'not that good really. (haha, snot.) its short and now theres a Q & A happening with the robed boil. he continued to type, half listening to the clan member talking on stage, Invi had a way of just..... helping people feel relaxed and calm and NOPE. THAT WAS NOT A SNORE COMING FROM HIM. The pup bounced back into a more alert position, glad that nothing weird was sent to the half beast. and continued on. Text to Bul some new demon just basically called that Invi boil a puppy. I find that offensive. :<
and i don't want to buy you, creep. lol telling Mei that you sell yourself, shame on your ways Bul.
j/k. but you will get buried one day, wait and see.

Merope shrugged. The content of the announcement went over his head. Merope didn't know anything about the school closing, or what the Four Clans were. He was one of the few exceptions, someone who wasn't included in the "everybody." While it was true that he had been to Deus Ex so long ago, he was only there for a brief period of time. He was oblivious to the horrors that the others experienced on the island. For him it was just a foggy fieldtrip. For the others... He didn't know. He didn't know who the horsemen were or what they did. He didn't know what a hunter was and why they were so dangerous. Insanity? Wasn't that a flavor of eye scream? No? Then he didn't know what anyone was talking about. He didn't know that Insanity was the reason those things from Christmas had attacked, or that it was the name of the fog that had taken over their campus. Instead, all Merope did was lean back and sigh as Shehk took the object and studied it, offering her a half-grin. "If it was stiff it'd be harder to walk around with it, y'know?" He asked, watching her with open interest as she blew.
