Van positively beamed at Belladonna's compliment, his tail curling around his neck so that his ridiculous grin was framed by its thick fur. There was something unsettling about his smile: it looked like he thought everyone was probably very tasty. "Thank you, thanks-- You can call me just about anything!" Admittedly, nobody called him by his full name. It was not even his true name, really, just coined from somewhere and given to him as a nickname until he earned his true name. Van kind of liked it, though; he'd had it so long that it was getting cozy.
He wasn't really paying attention, so it was difficult to understand who was where, or what was going on. His tail was just swishing back and forth excitedly as he looked up at the ceiling, over at the walls, at each individual shopper-- basically, everywhere at once.
His attention snapped back to Belladonna as she addressed him by name. "Yeah, what? Oh, yeah-- I'm looking for.. ah... warm things. Anything warm. I heard reptiles like some kind of heat rock thing, or something-- do you think I could turn those into a bed?" Van seemed to concentrate for a split second. It seemed kind of like the two ghouls who had walked into them and subsequently fallen over-- that was what happened, wasn't it?-- were already leaving. In some kind of huff. Amarus, her face as expressionless and smooth. She really did not understand why everyone seemed so perpetually upset, in motion, or angry; did the Maul have its own equivalent to the Lotus Smoke? It seemed very potent, whatever it was.
However, she was discovering more and more that she didn't really have social skills; apparently, it was only pleasant to interact with any of these individuals on a one-by-one basis. Now that they were all in a group, everywhere, talking all the time, Amarus was finding herself kind of irritated.
She did manage to break her facade to smile at Neil, though; he left with the two ghouls, however, so even as she called out a greeting to Neil, she transformed it into: "Neil!... See you later," with a half-smirk. He had certainly kicked her spectral a** at their box-breaking game, but that didn't mean she needed to compete all the time, did it? Well, it kind of did, but she suppressed that natural instinct as she was distinctly sure that those ghouls would respond far better to Neil's advances than her own. She was not interested, it was more of a conquest thing. And as much as she was confident in herself, she also knew when the odds were against her.
Amarus looked back at the bird-like boil, unsure as to whether she should excuse herself, or keep trying.

Oh thank Jack someone was coming along and driving away the....well, Derp-Shi. He had come up, unannounced, and felt like talking to him for no reason? Why did people assume he even knew where anything was? Richard was new to the maul, new to Amityville, and would not be making this place his home if there was anything at all he could be doing about it.
With everyone seemingly distracted now it would be a perfect time for Richard to wander about, occasionally glancing over a few people here and there. He was judging them, oh yes, and it was pretty sad for him to find that his original thought about what this school had to offer remained quite true.
This was a school for those with head injuries. He was not going to change his mind about that.

Both ghouls were having a pretty positive response to him so far. There was no crying yet. So, so far was so good. He couldn't stop staring at the way Ri-ri twirled her hair strand around her finger. Both of these ghouls had caught a little puppy in their net. "Yeah ~! I mean. Of course I'll show you round." He saved the cheerful sounding reply with a flat toned plain one. Or at least the canine felt he saved him self. Really, he hadn't, but who cared? There were two knock outs right here. It didn't matter that he him self didn't know his way around this maul. Faking always worked. Siobhan had a very unique way of talking. Still, it was kind of charming. "Ahhh so you two are friends? I wouldn't have guessed with the two of you walking together and what not," He gave them both a nod. Sarcasm. It would be the death of him one day. "My names - " Neil!... See you later, a familiar female voice cried out before he could even introduce him self. Slowly, he turned his head to find Amarus. The gimblewolf had been so distracted by Ri-ri batting her eyes that he'd completely missed her. Was that a flash of red on his nose now? The canine gave her a wave and cried out. "ROUND TWO SOME TIME KAY?" And then turned back to the other two ghouls. "Soooo Ri-Ri and Siobhan ~ Very cute names." Yup the tail was wagging. "I was headed to the music store my self if you wanna come thats cool."

Oh.. this Neil fellow was so suave ~! The banshee was star struck. Siobhan giggled, wiggling and turning her foot this way and that. He said her name was cute! CUTE! "M u s i c ? Ah.. I love the music. Yes. It is quite lovely. M-may we?" Siobhan cast a glance to RiRi- with hopeful eyes.

Shopping...always shopping. Shehk hadn't really found much joy in shopping probably..ever...but she'd still made a point to come out and pick up some things for a few people. One of which made her wonder if she'd ever see him again. Still. She'd get it, leave it wrapped somewhere, wait until she had a chance to give it to him. Even if that meant she'd have to go and dig through the secretary's office to get an address to send it to.
She'd figure it out somehow.
Never the less, the Pricolici was in awe of just how much running around was happening in the Maul, watching as everybody ran about doing their own thing, her eyebrows lifted ever so slightly.
"Well this is going to be fun." she mused with a light smile, before she began to walk, doing her own browsing.

((Mar-Mar is a Questie~)) So many sights to see, so many things to look at~ Marigold had her face pressed up against one of the glass displays until the shop owner asked her to kindly stop blocking the window. She had cocked her head and stared up at the monster before promptly letting out a squawk upon being chased away. In her panic and forgetting the fact she was at the moment humanoid and without her wings, her arm flailing and hopping did little in her desire for flight. She ended up crashing into another ghoul!

Shehk was immediately thrown off balance by by a rather eager flailing individual, catching herself before she managed to fall over entirely, but reaching out to grab the ghoul who had run into her - a hand on each shoulder.
"Woah woah woah, Turbo! Careful there!" she seemed to take it all in good stride, smiling a bit. "Are you alright? It's crowded in here, you might need to walk a little slower." she bid, then laughed a bit. She probably should have noticed it coming, however. So it wasn't entirely the fault of the..undead individual who had come running at her.

No. A ghost he certainly wasn't. Nor had he the privelage of ever having met one so close. Forest spirits yes, but not like... this... oh. They left. Whew. Close one. He wasn't sure how to respond or what to say to them really. Instead he watched them quietly wander off into the crows which now seemed to buzz around him like a swarm of furious bees. He still heard the remark and stares from the others though. It made him flick his ears back irritably. He felt his reaction was WELL within reason and suspected them to be friends with the MUTT. Yep. His suspitions were correct. But he said no further of the matter. They weren't worth the effort. His hot cocoa was all gone now. He pouted at the empty scarafoam cup. Gaze traveling over the chaos as he slowly seemed to snap out of his seething daze and stand straight up. High on his hooves as he scanned everyone. From patron to patron in search of someone who might seem confident. Someone who might know /the way/. Someone who might know the way to the way. He can't forget his mission, after all. Theeen he noticed a new face. Smiiiling as he set out to run at them. They seemed to know what they were doing. At least better than he had. But he paaaaauuuused his approach as she seemed to get attacked by another ghoul. Blinking. What the hell is wrong with people in this place? (edited to add since I missed your newer post) He seemed at ease though by how much better they handled being banged into than he would. He continued his approach. Waving at both and then stating... well.. more like asking. " Hi?"

((Mar-Mar is a Questie~))
The undead squawked, black eyes growing saucer wide in mild panic and embarrassment at the unfamiliar touch. When it became apparent the other ghoul was not angry and had no intentions of hurting her, the tiny cannarion ghoul blinked up at her and cheeped. Marigold had yet to properly learn to speak, at least with words, but her eyes crinkled and what flesh left on her cheeks rose and indicated she was smiling behind the cloth mask.
She trilled in response, bobbing her head to say that she was alright and that she understood. Her brows quickly furrowed as she tilted her head in apology for her carelessness. She brought her slender arms up against her chest, hands gesturing to herself as she repeated what little vocabulary she knew, "Mar," then gestured to the much taller ghoul.
From the corner of her eyes, she noticed a horned boil had been in the process of approaching them when he stopped. She chirped up the taller ghoul again then canted her head towards the boil.

"Mar?" she seemed to take a moment before realizing that the ghoul was referring to herself. It was kind of like that scene in Tarzan. Tarzan, oh I see..... Yeah, it was sort of like that, only Shehk knew well enough to not complicate it too badly. She motioned to Mar-Mar. "Mar." she looked for confirmation, and then pointed to herself. "Shehk." it should have been a clean enough introduction, she hoped.
Either way, she was pleased that the flailing and attempts to fly off had stopped. Last thing they needed was to cause a big ruckus with that, just smiling lightly and seeming to understand the animal mannerisms. Shehk was a canid, she read body language all the time.
When the canarion (rofl punny) trilled and looked past her towards another individual, Shehk turned her ears perking up at the appearance of a boil she didn't know. She raised a hand to wave in greeting. "Hello~" she greeted carefully, her tail flicking from side to side.

Ri-ri couldn't help but find Neil's tail wagging to be soooo adorable. She may be smitten already. ALREADY. "Oh yeah.. we are good friends." She squeezed tightly on Siobhan's arm. "We only met today but you know us ghouls." Ri laughed a little and waved her hand, once again batted her eyes. The monster was glad to see her new ghoulfriend also picked up on this and mimicked the expression. Her dark eyes darted to the pink ghoul from before. Neil, huh? "Oh I'd love to go to the music store!" She swung her hefty purse excitedly and rocked deftly on her monstrously tall heels. The bag slid down to her elbow crook and she stuffed her arm through Neil's. She let go of Siobhan and allowed the banshee to link on Neil's other side. Once more her cheeks turned pink as she prepared to ask a question. "You guys won't judge me right... but are you Amityville students?" She'd seen both of their skull pins and was familiar with them from seeing the articles about Johnny Danger. Her own tail swayed behind her like a serpent.

Oh, there was the boy from before, talking to two girls now. What had happened with the one Richard had set him up with before? Had he not been satisfied by her alone? What a player, or so he would have thought if there hadn't been an undead girl with the group. Richard tended to favor the undeads, if only because he could pretend to have things in common, so he decided to stroll on over and speak.
Whether he had been invited or not. Which he hadn't. Hopefully he could make Al stutter again, that had been delightful.
"Pardon me ladies, Al. May I join this conversation? You seem to be enjoying yourself and I am always one for merriment."

He noticed that he'd been spotted. Tensing up at first with ears erect - not certain how he'd be received. But then Mar didn't seem that bothered by him. Curious? He hoped anyway as he stood right by them now. He noted the tail flick. His own tail twitching anxiously. Though it was likely too stubby to really see. " I...I'm uh... Al. Do you know this maul well?" He stammered at the beginning of his statement but seemed to gain courage and steel himself by the end. Turning his head from one ghoul to the next to flash them both his uncertain little smile. ((edit: woop hi richard XD)) He had absolutely not been expecting Richard again and nearly lept out of his own hide as he spoke to him. " O-oh! Hi Richard." It seem's the boil succeded in making the faun stutter as they spun around to greet them.

((Mar-Mar is a Questie~))
Marigold nodded enthusiastically once Shehk repeated her name. Yes! Yes! She was Mar! And the tall ghoul was "Sheee~" it was the best Mar-Mar could come up with at the moment. She needed tutoring on enunciating certain syllables and letters but that didn't get her down. She was meeting new faces! Yay for Mar-Mar! New faces were wonderful and always welcome! She didn't quite know why but she liked how there were more people for her to meet and sing to, and so she bobbed her head in greeting at the latest boil that had come over.
He was using fancy words but he sounded pleasant enough to the naive ghoul. Her vocal answer was a cheerful series of cheeps lightly shifting her weight from one rotting leg to another, the feathers on her skirt rustling from the motion. The two boils seemed to know each other but the first one, the horned one seemed nervous? Why was that? She gave Shehk another curious chirp before waggling her fingers at both boils in her own version of a wave.((ETA: I'm heading to bed, night~))

Neil pointed to his headphones with a smirk when Siobhan said she loved music. Saying that he loved music too seemed redundant after the headphone point. "What bands?" He arched his brow at Siobhan. No really, he was interested. But his attention was quickly turned to Ri-Ri. He didn't answer the you know us ghouls. Neil didn't. Ghouls were a very strange creature to him still even if he played it cool. Often times the boil made ghouls cry just by being.. well him. Being friends from only a day seemed strange to him bu the boil didn't question. "Yeah. I'm actually new and I've never met Siobhan before just now." Though he wasn't sure if Siobhan was a studen too. She was a ghost so it explained why the two hadn't met before. Ghosts and monsters weren't known for being buddy buddy. Not that the gimblewolf had any ill thought of ghost, they just lived in different buildings. Though, he knew Amarus and Pepin who were both ghosts.
