There was a bit of suspicion going on within Ayita's head. However none of it was voiced and or mumbled. It would simply die away and whither much like many things in that over working brain. The mass of an organ never resting, even in sleep. Always tossing and turning. Churning images and contemplating what to do when awake. "Moments like that happen often to us all." Oh those smart words. Feeling the need to get up and stretch, the head huntress thought against it. Finally the feeling of being fully comfortable existed and somehow the thought of getting up grew. Wasn't going to happen. Ayita was going to win and was going to continue to lay here in this comfortable manner. Nothing was going to move her. That was herself anyway. There were certain situations she would arise for. Example, if the cubs got a bit out of line with their questions. Consisting it she was to put her full focus on them, ignoring everything else, those ears would be able to hear their words. "Two that they do not know, speaking of a place that is somewhat magical, and doing so in stories with truth. I do not blame them." Ayita had to laugh.
These cubs had some major change in expressions as the story progressed. Even more so as Misae joined in for her little add on. Bodaway was glad the lioness he had grown to become friends with came to lighten the burden. However, knowing her. The long speech patterns wouldn't continue. It was the same thing with the cubs of his pride so far away. The young lioness was bold enough to tell stories but eventually would shy away and keep to herself. Even if the Pride Lands were her home. And the lions at Pride Rock were her family. Being gone long meant she knew nothing of what had happened here within the past year or so. Things. Surely didn't know these cubs. "You'd be surprised." The tone was playful as those deep eyes kept their vision on the female lioness. Switching to the cubs however hoarsing around. Playing and acting out scenes. It was hilarious. Had to laugh himself. Made him miss being little like that. Not having to really be serious.
Little laughs and giggles came from the lioness as they started to play. However the moment they started to direct things towards her, was the moment Misae's ears sort of lowered. Eyes averted and her head lowered. Smiling shyly that laugh was quiet. "Maybe a little more brave then before." However the comment about the hyenas just got her skittish. Trying to hide it wasn't going to work. It already wasn't working well. The young huntress tensed up with more and more questions. It was getting a bit much for her. So slowly she got to all fours and backed away. "S-s-sorry cubs.." Gold eyes immediately looked away as the light furred lioness turned and quickly trotted off towards the edge of the rocks. Needed to get away. That's all that was going through her mind. Something that sprouted in her mind after the long journey. One thing about her that she wished never grew worse. The shy demeanor.

Abaeze noticed Misae back away from the cubs and Bodaway. The shy lioness must have been spooked by something, or just scared of all the cubs' rambunctious playing. The cream-colored lioness was ready to follow the younger lioness, but she stopped when she noticed the rosy-brown pelt of Jawara following after the lioness. Abaeze's blue eyes narrowed in suspicion and curiosity. The male had become very attached to the young lioness since she returned home. It made Abaeze curious about his motives. "Innocent and shy Misae. Good thing Jawara's good at comforting lions." She noted, glancing at Ayita with a raised eyebrow. She wondered how long Misae would remain innocent and retain her innocence. The young lioness had only been home for less than a day, and she was already being shy around the youngest members of the pride. "The cubs look disappointed and guilty." Light blue eyes on the little fur-balls looking after Misae's retreating form with lowered ears, slumped shoulders and tails dragged behind them told the lioness that they felt guilt and confused of Misae's sudden retreat. They didn't know her like Ayita, their kings, and the other older lions knew her. The lioness was an innocent and shy lioness since she was a small cub.
Musa and the others stopped their play when Misae suddenly left. Shoving the cub that pinned him down off, Musa took a step toward Misae as she left. It was quiet as the cubs lowered their ears, stared at the ground, and dragged their tails in sadness and confusion. "Did we do something wrong, Bodaway?" The mud-colored cub asked, looking at the golden warriors with sad blue-gray eyes. The others chimed in with similar depressed and guilty voices. Have they said something wrong? Did she not like play-fighting? Did Misae not like them? All the cubs felt disappointed and guilty, and they wanted to make Misae return to them. They honestly had no idea how they wronged the lioness. "Will she come back?" Sitting with slumped shoulders, Musa leaned against one of his playmates as they all mumbled similar questions and whimpered sadly.
Jawara was sitting with several guards and warriors, chatting about recent events and the latest migration report. After a good long sleep, the warrior was active and alert. His blue eyes and tufted ears didn't miss anything as he spoke with the males of the pride. One of the guards made a joke he thought was funny, but didn't really know if it was because his attention was diverted towards Misae's retreating form. She appeared frightened by her body language. "Excuse me," he said hastily as he got to all fours and bounded after her. A warrior made an obscene comment about Misae, and he made a mental note to pummel him for such words. As he neared the lioness, he slowed his pace and called to her gently with an even toned voice so she wouldn't be spooked. "Misae, are you all right?" He managed to reach her side and began walking beside her.

Everything seemed to have been going quite well for the most part until body language indeed did start to change. It became quickly noticeable. Slowly but surely the brown furred green eyes head huntress got to those steady paws. Padding forward to stand simply beside Abaeze, Ayita silently kept her gaze on the events that were happening. Indeed Misae seemed overly frightened as she scooted away and started to take off. Cubs saddened at the sight thinking they had done something wrong more than likely. Hopefully Bodaway would explain this for it would be quite bad if they continued to think it was their fault. "That gentle soul of her's has been forever shy. Hopefully the comforts of home calm and sooth her." Hopefully it happened fast. Thinking to the ones of the old, Ayit wished the young lioness would warm up a bit. Calming to at least allow little things not to spook her. Yet, still keep that innocent mind. It would be horrible if she was corrupted. "Everything will be alright." There was hope with the help of Jawara.
Quickly Misae had backed away and took off. The cubs stopped their playing around and watched her cream form dart off. Bodaway laid there with dark red eyes watching with confusion. The lioness had been shy for as long as he had known her. But to retreat to a simple question from roundhousing cubs was unusual even for her. Furrowing those eyesbrows, that mind churned and tossed and turned with thoughts of what the heck was going on. Interrupted by the babble of small cubs Bodaway turned his attention. Their expressions were saddening and even made the gold giant's heart ache. Quilty and depressed. Feeling as if they had done something wrong when there was no reason to feel at fault. Nobody was the cause of this but Misae's own mind. "You guys didn't do anything wrong. The long journey hear was full of plenty of drama. She just doesn't think she is worthy enough or good enough to do anything." Whic was quite the opposite. The lioness was talented and it was common knowledge. Not in her mind. The male shook his head with a low sigh. "She'll come back. Don't worry."
Even though the blood that ran through that body was not of the Pride Lands, Misae was a Pride Rock lion. This was her home. Where she was raised by loving lions. Didn't have to be blood to be family. That was something the lioness learned in those early years. Always tending to be quietshe was encouraged to interact. Want to prove she was worthy of her home led her truly forward on that hunt which gave her the sight of beaches. A year away. Another year in her life. A year Misae could've used here. Not that she regrets meeting Bodaway and the other. They were great friends and a wonderful addition to 'family'. There was still the need to truly prove herself worthy. Too shy and just assume if that made sense. Being confronted about what she could do retriggered these thoughts. Needing to get away Misae was going to leave Pride Rock and venture the very much missed grasses of her home. Alone or not it did not matter. However she had recently not been accustomed to being by herself. Being alone. The survival of a unknown are and danger affected her mindset. Why must her brain be difficult. She was shy and weak. Wouldn't be able to take anything on. Suddenly a voice brought her back to reality and even thought it was a gentle familiar voice the light lioness shuttered. Bright gold eyes moved to stare straight at Jawara. Eyes wide. Calming down a little she kept her posture low. Averting her eyes once again. "N-not r-r-really.."

Abaeze wasn't so certain, but she knew that Misae would eventually calm down and settle. Even with Jawara by her side, she still seemed skittish at best. Sighing with some reserved worry, the lioness glanced at her head huntress with concern. "She's very talented. I wish we could help her self-esteem." It seemed the young lioness couldn't seem to see herself in a good light. Even if she wasn't pride-born like many of them, she was still a member of the pride. The some of the ancestors of the great King Simba were not from the pridelands, and yet they still served the pride well. She wondered if Misae would ever see herself as great as she appeared to Abaeze and her pride-mates. "Jawara looks like he's sweet-talking her." She noted quietly, raising her head so she could get a better look at the two lions.
Musa looked at Bodaway with disbelief. From the look of the lioness's face, she wasn't returning anytime soon, maybe never. The thought saddened him. He closed his eyes and counted the seconds that went by as Misae left them. Cubs sighed aloud and others sniffed back tears. "Misae hates us...." "Yeah, why else would she leave us?" "I want her to come back." "Same here, but that's not happening anytime soon." All the cubs voiced their thoughts with depressed and muttering voices, showing how upset they still were. "Bodaway, I think we're done with stories for today." The mud-colored cub said gloomily, kicking a pebble listlessly as he got to his paws. The other cubs nodded or grumbled their agreements, getting ready to leave the young golden warrior. Not even the sight of a living sun like Bodaway could change their mood.
Jawara gave her a skeptical look then glanced out towards the savanna. "Let's take a walk together." He suggested, feeling the eyes of lions on them as they walked. "It's been a while since we've just talked or walked together." He added in a calm and well-meaning voice.

That long nap had done Manaba some good. Everything was good. His body felt nice. Except that leg of his which still sort of throbbed. The male wasn't limping on his way out of the king's cave. Immediately those olive eyes noticed Soyali forever sleeping above the Pride Lands on the very edge of Pride Rock. Down below there seemed to be a bit of a scene going on. The bright sun reflecting off of obvious Bodaway, surrounding by plenty of little trouble makers. The maidens all comfortable in the sun. Ayita and ABaeze were enjoying themselves. Heading his way down Manaba was going to holler out in greeting but shut his trap. That sister of his and friend got up. Misae was off towards the Pride Lands, followed by Jawara. Well. More drama for today hm? No matter. He was going to loosen up. Spotting Hikaru. Grinning the male easily made it around and sneaking off. The lioness was resting. Probably not sleeping but didn't matter. Didn't mean he wasn't going to pounce on her. Lightly of course. He learned a lesson. Somewhat.
As Misae and Jawara seemed to be holding a little bit of a conversation those ears perked somewhat forward. Those colored green hues moving in their sockets after a single blink. Glancing at Abaeze from the corner of those eye sockets. Contemplation started. "Just might be. Would not blame the warrior. Misae is quite a beautiful young huntress." That calm voice never wavered. Infact it wasn't very often it changed in tone. Unless for extreme reason. It slowed and slid into the air with ease. Just like large paws did against stone when the head huntress let herself glide forward. Passing that old friend of her's. "As Jawara is handling the situation. There is one still here." Hopping down a series of stones the muscular figure now headed towards the golden Bodaway and the small solemn faced cubs. Eyes lightened and a smile spread across that muzzle. The trained ears relaxed when her head sunk a tad to be somewhat level to the cubs when approaching. "Young ones, calm yourselves. Misae surely would not wish any of you to be as upset as you are. That one has her reasons for the way she acts." Eyeing them the head huntress wouldn't let this happen.
It was hard to look at a bunch of cubs and smile. Try to figure out what to say to a bunch of unhappy cubs was the hardest thing Bodaway ever had to do. Being honest wasn't working with them. Honestly, Misae would return. Just not at the moment. They were probably going to believe she was going to leave forever and never come back for years and years. The rest of their little lives. The giant sighed. Things were just not going the right way anymore. This was a very bad situation. "She doesn't hate you guys. Misae loves cubs. Give her some time. She'll be back." Bodaway just wanted to slam his handsome face down onto the rock beneath them that they called home. Would be extremely painful. Good thing uncalled reinforcements came. Ayita had approached. There was a thankful look in his red eyes, looking to the cheery and calm lioness.

One of her ears twitched, as she rolled her eyes not really caring if someone was sneaking up on her she was drowning out fighting and yelling by her own thoughts. Then she noticed something and looked around without moving her head, she saw everyone expeeeect Manaba. Great that meant he was the one sneaking up on her. "Don't even try it Manaba." She huffed lifting her head and looking back at him as she sat up, she wasn't going to take kindly to being pounced on nor flirted with. She just returned from her trip in a good mood and didn't want it ruined but it was probably best to find out what happened while she was out since it seemed like there was a lot that did. "Mind telling me what happened? So I'm not out of this large growing pride on information." She was working on being more kind it seemed.

Musa's eyes snapped towards Ayita's voice as she tried to comfort the cubs. They were more willing to believe Ayita because they knew her longer, and she would never lie to them. At least the cubs wouldn't believe she was capable of lying to them. Musa was still worried about Misae, as were several other cubs. "Why couldn't she tell us though? She looked like she didn't want to ever speak with us again." Musa pouted until the familiar nose prodded his back. Looking up, he saw his sister's gentle and sweet pale face looking down at him. Her blue eyes were filled with sympathy and understanding.
Abaeze followed closely behind her head huntress, staying s little distance away from the cubs and Bodaway as she soothed their hurt feelings. The cream-colored lioness thought briefly how good of a mother Ayita would be if she found a mate and settled down. The cubs seemed to instantly calm with Ayita's words, though still many had worries. Musa voiced his, and she smiled at her little brother. Quietly and expertly, the lioness crept behind him and prodded his back with her nose. The cub looked up with wide blue-gray eyes, still clearly worried about Misae. "She is a shy lioness, Musa. Please give her time, and she won't be as skittish." Her words were gentle, like a slow moving river that could lull even the most ferocious animal to sleep.

The dark maned male was just about to poince into the air and land atop a certain lioness. Plans were foiled when this paritcular female noticed he was the only one not around. Dang it. Hikaru was smart there was no doubt about that. Manaba admired that. Not that it truly matter. There was only a playful feel for all this. It just so happened that everyone took it as flirting. There was only the matter of trying to be friends. Sitting on those heavy haunches of his, the dark mane rippled with the movement. Olive green eyes easily keeping their gaze locked on the lioness. Ears listening carefully to questions. "You spoil all my fun~" He was happy. Had a meal had a nice nap. All was good in his world. Consisting his sister was alright and all that. "Bodaway and Misae returned. Obviously. Who else could that giant gold thing be. Well. Musa being the little information seeker that he is, hounded Bodaway about stories and all that. Misae it looks like joined in the little story telling. I don't know what was told but Misae freaked and ran off. Jawara left with her."
Large soulful eyes full of worry was the most adorable and saddening sight the head huntress had ever seen. Only seconded by the birth of a new cub being brought to the light for the first time. Even if the eyes of the cubs were sorrowed, it was the extreme expression that was adorable. Ayita let herself sigh a little bit just as Musa let out a question in a pouting mumbled voice. "Our Misae was a rogue as a cub. Thin but strong. Her mother worried for her safety as the other cubs did not fair well. Brought her to the Pride Lands and begged for her to be taken in. From than on she has been a Pride lion. She is indeed shy and skittish. Given being not from here, she does believe she must prove herself still." That would hopefully explain it enough to the cubs why the lioness acted the way she did. "She doesn't wish to put her burdens onto anyone else." Those deep eyes looked at every single cub. Making sure that they understood. Eyes ending on Musa and Abaeze.
It was amazing how much power Ayita had over practically all of the lioness of the pride. If with the head huntress' obvious size and strength, that personality was all that counted. Never came on too strong in situations like this was an always reserved. Bodaway simply shook his head in amazement as she took care of the cubs. Calming them down almost immediately it seemed. Even with their pouty faces, they were comfortable. It was amazing. Those deep eyes continuing to watch the green eyed gentle huntress who could easily shred anything in her path. Staying in his laying position, the male didn't plan on moving. The air about this in charge female was too powerful. However he did turn his head to gaze and watch Abaeze sneak around the cubs. Sneaking up right behind her younger brother. Ears pricked at the gentle words coming from both lioness. However those ears caught mostly the voice of Abaeze. Eyes widened. Wow. She had changed much. Despite the fact that she simply did not believe so. Another friend beautiful all the way around. A certain series of thoughts caused the gold giant to push all of that away. Putting his head down he sighed. "That hyena comment that was made. Might have triggered what Ayita is speaking of."

"She never needs to prove herself, mind you." Abaeze said with a firm voice to the gathered cubs, "All Outcasts are originally from the pride, so she is a pride lion through blood." The cubs seemed interested in her words as they lightened up with each passing word from her maw and Ayita's maw. They were getting over their hurt, slowly, but surely, and with great speed. The lioness wrapped her tail around Musa and several other cubs, nuzzling them as they returned to their normal demeanor. "Hyena comment? What was that all about, you little troublemakers?" The lioness looked at Bodaway for a moment before giving the cubs a feigned accusing glare.
Musa looked from Ayita to Abaeze, wondering if Misae was really okay, and if she would return to them. The lionesses said she would, and he would only trust their words. Now, as for the hyena comment, the little cub edged away from his sister's comforting tail and cleared his throat to explain what all the cubs were now mumbling about. "Well, we—I asked if she was strong enough, or was it brave enough, to fight against a hyena?" With a wide-toothed grin and a sheepish look, he received a snort from Abaeze. She was clearly amused and not amused at the same time.

Hikari let out a soft hmm noise before looking back towards the way of the other members of the pride and let her claws unsheath into the ground stretching out with a yawn before sitting back down her emerald eyes turning their attention back to the lion. "Well it's none of my business anyways." Her interest had been satisfied now, so now she had gone back to her normal self of being mostly to herself and ignoring others, through Manaba was an expection since he never really left her alone it became hard to ignore him. "This pride gets bigger and bigger everyday, just what we need. More annoying pest that can't keep gossip to themself through i'm no expection to being a pest." The brown lioness was being modest since she had just asked about what happened in the pride.

Looking out at the other pride lions, the mind behind those olive eyes churned with thought. Manaba was silently listening to Hikari all the while thinking over a series of mental questions and answers. "Nothing wrong with the pride getting bigger. Makes it easier. More protection and more able to provide for food for all the mouths to feed." It made sense. However Hikari did have a point about the gossip. But, it was a little useful. "May not truly like gossip, but it keeps the maidens entertained and destress from the cubs." Can't have too many stressed Pride members. It would slowly get to the others and spread like a disease. Plus, stress could easily kill a living being. Too much pressure. Manaba kept his gaze from Hikari. Thinking. It seemed him and his sisters got a lot from their parents. Size, and the overly populated mind of thoughts. Nothing wrong with that. Except when it brought up memories.
It had to have been that simple comment or question that caused a reaction in Misae. Ayita was more than sure of it. The dark lioness continued to look down at the cubs with those expressionate green eyes. The emerald swirl of calm deep within them. It had only been a accident. The little group did not know what sort of reaction they would have gotten. Only a guess of pride in the fact of it being true. Even the most brilliant of minds can't predict an outcome. "A simple mistake. You did not know how Misae would have reacted. Though, now you know." Once again glancing at every single cub the head huntress just smiled. Even laughing a little. "Even if she may not believe so, given the circumstances, she would more than likely handle one or two." This was the truth and also a tactic to give the cubs hope again. They were too upset for Ayita's liking. It was upsetting her own self.
Bodaway simply stayed where he was as silent as he had been for the passed few minutes. Listening and watching to the scene before him. The lioness that was looked up to greatly speaking so calmly to a bunch of cubs. Though his deep eyes focused on Abaeze for just a few second. Making eye contact with her when the lioness looked his way. Well it wasn't so bad. "Don't worry."

Musa's ears slowly lifted with the words of the lionesses. He could tell the other cubs were feeling much better about themselves, and that, next time they spoke with Misae, they'd ask more about her. That way they wouldn't make the mistake twice. It was full-proof. "Really? Really, truly, really? Ya'hear that? Misae doesn't hate us!" Laughing with the other cubs, he began a play-fight with his fellow cubs. "I'm gonna beat you!" "Nah-uh! I will!" "We all will become so big that no one will mess with us!" Musa roared, ending up on top of the pile of cubs as they all giggled and roared along with him.
Abaeze didn't freeze when Bodaway held her gaze. Instead the lioness kept staring at him for several long moments, ignoring the play of the now joyous and energetic cubs, before she broke the stare to watch Musa stand on his playmates. "Watch your paws, Musa. Sheath your claws, Abelo. Cebo, Enama's tail is not a chew toy." Approaching the cubs, the cream-colored lioness corrected the silly cubs, smacking Abelo with her tail so he'd sheath his claws, separating Cebo's mouth from the dark-furred Enama's tail, and so on. The cubs gave her pouting looks, but they behaved themselves in their play, sort of. "Cubs," she sighed as she sat down beside Ayita, watching the cubs of many shades tug, bite, and tackle each other to no end. She tried to remember the days when she used to behave like they did, but the memories were so dusty that the memories were fuzzy to her mind.

She didn't say another word just looked away feeling her ears lower but wasn't going to say how she really wasn't even annoyed but more depressed. Family the one thing the world rip her of, the light in her eyes seemed to dim now making her feel more distance from everyone. "I think I need another walk." It was time again for her to run away from her problems to be alone, force herself to keep emotions to herself so she wouldn't seem weak in anyone eyes like the day she joined the pride, with that said she got to her paws heading to the rocks leading down to the ground from the pride rock.

Manaba stayed exactly where he was, keeping those eyes on the dark green eyes form of Hikari. Immediatetly it seemed the lioness' body language had a huge one eighty. Everything went sour. Ears lowered. Not something the young king was used to seeing. Tilting his head to the side the typically playful male lifted a paw to place it on the lioness' shoulder. But she seemed to get up. Brown ears surrounded by a thick black mane lowered themselves as Manava continued to just sit there. There was a feeling that Hikari didn't want to be followed. "You can't run from everything.. I don't know what's going on in that head.. But I can say you can come to Ayita and I for anything.." Was that an offer? Nothing completely single minded? Nothing playful. But an offer to actually help instead of cause problems. Well. That was the first in a while. For the most part. But, he ended that offer with a bright smile. Eyes closed and teeth bared in a goofy grin.
It was a nice sight to see the playful and happy expressions back in their rightful place. on the little faces of hyperactive and trouble making cubs. No matter what they were to do. They would be adorable. Entertaining in the least. Ayita had to let out another little seires of gentle laughs watching the little ones scuffle around. Making a few mistakes here and there with teeth and claws. Little injuries would or might have been a result. They would learn. Especially if Abaeze or the maidens watched them. The head huntress would let them learn what to do and what not to do. Common sense wasn't naturally there. It was learned. "Aye, let them play my friend how they please. We were all the same in our younger years. I myself am guilty of a few claws being used during play." Even so. Ayita never used them for anything but defense and hunt now. A lesson had been learned. "They will learn by themselves."
Bodaway simply wasn't going to lay there and watch the clubs play. Oh no. He had energy and he was going to let it out. Lips twitched in anticipation as the golden giant got to his paws. Stretching just like any feline would before he whole heartedly laughed. "All that roaring sounds like a challenge to anybody~" This was the real Bodaway. The giant goofball. Laughing he went ahead and stepped forward a couple of steps before lowering himself. Left paw stretched out before the other. Tail twitching from side to side. Deep red eyes staring at the cubs with a certain look. A gleam in his eyes that might just spark something. "Anyone? Or am I too scary? Hm?" He could hear some of the maidens laughing. Even Ayita's laugh seemed to be projected towards his playfull manner at the moment. Didn't matter to him. He was having fun.

Musa's ears swiveled towards the large golden male, half-forgetting he was around. Grinning devilishly, Musa scrambled off his playmates, padded up to the golden warrior, puffed out his chest, and spoke loudly and confidently. "I, Musa, am challenging fluffy and soft-looking Bodaway from the endless waters!" He gave a cub's roar, and roared again when the other cubs roared with him, showing their support. Several of the cubs also joined him in challenging the golden lion. Confident with his friends beside him, Musa grinned at Bodaway. "Do you accept our challenge? Hm? Or are you too scared because we're better?" He was a cub showing a big ego, but it was only in play. Though he would become the best when he grew older.
Abaeze watched the cubs challenge the playful Bodaway and smiled as they roared. It was especially nice to see Musa so active and happy. Play was always good for the pride, but she couldn't shake the feeling that someone would do something foolish, and she wasn't sure whether it would be one of the cubs or Bodaway as the cause of it. "Why do I feel like something will go terribly, yet hilariously wrong with this situation? She whispered to her huntress with amused blue eyes glued to the little performance before them. The cream-furred lioness knew something would go wrong because it always happened in any form of play.
