Rala teleports into Nebu's shop, which surprises the Cofagrigus hybrid. She drops a bag of eighteen Snag Coins in front of him before he can say anything, which catches his attention. While he's preoccupied, she grabs three Vivid Scents and teleports away before Nebu can say anything. She didn't try talking to him telepathically because she didn't want to inadvertently see what thoughts swarmed in his head. She wasn't immune to his creepiness factor any more than we were.
