wow. Planned on making a useful, worthwhile post as of last week. Strange how things get away from me....and I am in no condition to be posting huge things tonight (got woken up by screaming sister at 3am, couldn't get back to sleep......all on 4 hours of sleep. I'm amazed that I haven't passed out, but my head feels a bit strange)

(Must be the lack of self-consciousness at work. Underage person's alcohol must be sleep deprivation. Minus hangover, but plus chronic insanity. Neither is worth it)

Hmm, though. Should I have a scene with Xei fighting with a Google-enabled computer for LOL potential? Would be fun, provides useful way to find old friend that may be able to help.

Vicissitude is a word that means a change, generally for the worse, or into ill circumstances. It can also mean alternating between two different things. I decided to call it that as a reference to White Wolf's WoD, where the Tzimisce clan have a skill by the name, informally known as "fleshcrafting," which is basically an even more horrible version of what Cressa just did with the spider! The transformation of the spider is by far not the worst thing that can be done with it. But it can also be used, and is also used, for utterly benign things, helpful things, good things. This version, that is. Not the Tzimisce one. That one's just horrible, JUST FORGET ABOUT IT

Anyway, I'm afraid the spider has perished. Usually a transformation like that would be done over days; weeks; months, depending on how much you wanted your subject to suffer. Doing it all at once is just too much of a strain on the body, for arachnids and humanoids alike. I was going to include her checking the spider for signs of life, but I decided to leave the post where it is because I wanted to give everyone the chance to respond =] I'm also in no fit state to be posting or making decisions or typing at all right now, as you might be able to tell from this long, rambly OOC post, LOL
