"If you think you're getting my food, you're very naive," she informed him, noting he hadn't ordered. The waitress had walked away looking a bit perturbed, but Cellyn really didn't care. She couldn't eat all the food...but most of it was definitely going into her stomach. She thought on his words and then about what had been happening. Her life had always been a little - off - but never anything like this. She remembered a woman in green visiting when she was little, after she had first Healed. Her father had locked her in her room while the woman was there and she had been stuck there for a few days.
She shook her head briefly as she let the memory go, seeing the food arrive. Everything was hot and looked good enough, much to her relief. "Go on, take what you want," she offered, grabbing a hot loaf of bread and some sort of stew.

Noj shrugged, she was contradicting herself by saying he was naive then offering him food. Whatever. Taking another loaf he began chewing on it, and scanned the room. The appeared to be the only ones out of place in the room, which meant that there was no Aes Sedai or Warder. They couldn't help but stand out, if anything but because of their pride. He had yet to see an Aes Sedai try to blend in as anything lower than an extravagant noblewoman with her battle hardened bodyguard. It was almost painful what they thought to be subtle sometimes. Only reason he knew was because during his time in the Andoran military before he had any real authority, it was his job to run back and forth from the Andor to the Tower and back normally as an escort, or a message runner, most of the time with Aes Sedai, so he had played 'the servant' way to many times to count. He knew a few of the women who had seen him enough to begin making a game out of it. Sigh. "So, how long do you intend to stay here?"

Cellyn finished chewing before she paid him any attention, completely focused on her food. "Until we're both healed. You're far worse than I am, of course," she amended, not wanting to sound like some pathetic victim. "It's an out of the way place and I heard the maid say they're in for a storm. It might be best to just stay here for at least a few days to rest up and heal. It won't do any good to go out half-rested and end up in trouble again." She finished off her stew and began to work on what looked like a pie, filled with meats and vegetables. "If you're worried about that Warder and his Sister, they've apparently come and gone. I asked the woman in the inn - you keep looking around, it's obvious, at least to me," she continued, keeping her gaze on her food.

Noj shook his head, taking another bite from his bread, chewing, then swallowing. "I don't know, they can be weaselly. But don't worry about it, I just have a habit of staying on guard even when I don't have to, which isn't really a bad thing, at least I think. Enough about that though, I'd have to say that I agree. I'm not very useful at this point physically." He could still channel, but that was come and go anyway. Whatever. "Besides, the Aes Sedai aren't the only thing I'm looking for, remember that I said our past few days have been insane? I'm looking for anything."

"Good point." Cellyn nodded in agreement, finishing off the pie and working on another bowl of stew. She wondered if Jurel would be foolish enough to show his face to them again and decided on a firm yes. The man was insane, perhaps moreso than Noj, which wasn't a good thing. The man who had kidnapped her was completely different and she hoped the damaage Noj had done had been enough to convince him she wasn't worth more money.
"At least my plan is still the same. Head south. I got a look at my map and there's a city a few weeks travel from here, give or take. It's called Tarith - not a major city, but far larger than anything we've come across lately. I think we should head there next," she suggested.

Noj shrugged, not really caring where they went, and continued to sweep the room with his eyes. The thing in the room that was most out of place was of course, him. At the same time as he looked around, there was nothing that exactly escaped his vision either, it was just a dreary little town tavern apparently. It seemed an alright place to settle in for a few days. He still had a few rather bad things swirling in the back of his mind, but he let those suspicions lay for the moment. He needed both physical and mental rest. "Tarith? Sounds alright. It's a bit closer than a couple weeks, but that city does meet up with a major road that leads into Tar Valon, which leads to Andor, or anywhere else really. Those are the two places you'll want to go if you're incredibly into this gathering trade contacts." He didn't really pry, but it seemed like a rather hollow thing. Trade contacts were really only useful when they were immediately close to one's source of business. He wasn't entirely sure where she was from, but he had the feeling that she was getting further and further from here home by heading south.

She shrugged. "Not incredibly, no. It's just something to keep me busy and out of my father's way for the moment. Besides, my cousin is planning on opening his own store in another town and we'd eventually like to have several more family members do the same. So these contracts will make it easy for them to establish legitimate businesses," she explained with an apologetic smile, as if embarrassed by her family's ambition. The food was finished by now and she felt stuffed but satisfied. It was clear to her something was troubling Noj, but as long as it wasn't about her she wasn't going to pry anymore than she already had.
She stood up, the money on the table, and stretched. "I think we both need a good night's sleep, hmm? We may as well head back," she suggested with a small smile.

Noj nodded, taking a look around the room on last time. Again, nothing out of the ordinary, besides him of course. Whatever, something would be thrown at him, just not yet apparently. Whatever. He'd deal with it when he had too. For now, rest. After wandering back to the room, he went up to the room, and grabbed the basin and left Cellyn to go fill it, returning with it shortly after and parked himself in front of the mirror, resting an empty saddlebag that he laid out flat, to catch water. Pulling a knife from his pocket, he cut he gathered his hair in a bundle and cut it, and then went about dyeing his hair with the pigment he had bought earlier. It was more difficult than he had previously assumed, and he also had to go about his eyebrows, since they were stark white as well. What a bother. He should probably also go about getting it cut properly when he was done as well, since it most likely looked like a botched mess.

Cellyn watched his struggles with ill-hidden amusement, shaking her head occasionally. "I hope I'm not too recognizable, because I'm certainly not going to cut and dye my hair," she informed him, having changed into a nightdress when he had gone to fill the basin. "I'd look like a fool. Like you," she added brightly, grinning. "At least no one will think you would do that to yourself, so there's a bonus to that disguise." She privately grimaced - she liked Noj better with his white hair, for whatever reason, but wasn't about to say so. She couldn't think of how it wouldn't sound weird.

Noj eyed himself in the mirror, satisfied enough. "I've done it before. I think I'm a little too recognizable. I know there really isn't anyway I could be confused as anything but a soldier or the like, at least now I'm like a campfire instead of a light house. Besides, in a small village such as this, I'm sure rumors of a scandalous man with snow like hair sleeping bare naked on the floor as already spread for about a league or two." In all truth, having pigment for leather and cloth in one's hair didn't exactly feel wonderful, but he had to wait for it to dry and the color to set, then it'd last at least a few days, even if he washed it. Unfortunately, hair grew, and with such a contrasting color, redyeing had to take place often, which was a pain in his a**. "Anyways, since I lack a mirror, could you tell me if I missed a spot in the back? It'd be for naught if I went through all the trouble just to have a spot left in the back. "He'd done that too before...

Cellyn sighed and swung her bare feet off the bed, padding over to Noj. She couldn't see any white spots, but obligingly stood up on her toes and ran her fingers through his hair to make sure nothing had been missed. She had to lean up against his back and was uncomfortably aware that he had no shirt on and she was hardly decent underneath her nightdress. The inspection was finished with a cursory swipe through his hair as she quickly stepped back, staring at the ground. "No, I don't see any white in there," she informed him, retreating to one of the beds and wrapping herself up in a blanket, peering at him cautiously. "Considering the bloody mess you made, you did a decent job in it," she admitted grudgingly.

Noj nodded to himself, and decided to wait for the dye to dry. It wasn't exactly a pitch black, since his natural hair color contrasted so much, and the dye was cheap(at least for black dye) so it came out to something like a dark, but somewhat faded gray, but he was fine with that. He'd just have too make sure it stayed around that color, which'd also be a pain when he redyed his roots. Sigh. "In any case, nothing bad's happened to us so far, so I think that we might just get a few days of well deserved rest here." Noj glanced to the fire place, which still had some wood in it, and, with some concentration, made it roar into flame with Saidin, and then went about cleaning the mess he'd made.

"I hope so," she replied with a sigh. "If traveling just means more trouble like what we've been getting into, I might just crawl under this bed and not come out for a while." A rueful chuckle escaped her and she rested her back against the wall. "I thought life was pretty boring, but now I wish it was back to normal," she muttered. Cellyn sighed to herself and watched Noj as he cleaned up, finding it oddly comforting that she wasn't expected to clean up his mess. She was forever cleaning up her father and cousins' messes, whether it was their breakfast dishes or some sort of relationship mess the boys always seemed to work their way into. To see a man finally doing something on his own with little complaining to or about her brought a grin to her face.

Noj shrugged, "Might as well, the way things are going. Besides, I don't know about you, but my next few days not many things are gonna be happening anyway." Wiping up the last of the dyed water from the table top, he walked over to the fireplace and hung the rag to dry it, and went back to the mirror, eyeing the over all effect of his hair change. For some reason, Cellyn had a smug look on her face, despite the fact he was rather certain she was against his hair color change. Whatever.

Cellyn sighed again and kept an eye on Noj's movements out of habit. "I think I'll take stock of what supplies we lost and just concentrate on getting lots of rest and good food. Light knows when we'll get a chance like this again," she added with a laugh, beginning to rebraid her hair, which was hanging down her back in thick curls. Noj's hair looked like dirty snow, she realized, and forced down another laugh. Considering how he felt about winter, she doubted he'd like the comparison.
