Tilting his head, the trainee followed her gaze toward the borrowed vehicles and back, attempting to read her expression before she spoke. It was to no avail. He couldn't guess what she had followed him for. "Hai, I'm a trainee on probation. So you're just keeping an eye on me, then?" he asked, smirking.
"I'll understand if you don't want to take my word for it, but I'm really not intending to cause any more trouble for tonight. After meeting a couple of people, I plan to go straight back to the base with the car. Aila seems to prefer using pokemon for transportation and I'll bet she could do with some time away from me." Wondering what she meant aside from her stated reason for being there, Izaya watched her give an order to her Umbreon, confused by the command.
"...Yes, I'm responsible," he confirmed, turning back to her after watching her pokemon depart. "I thought you would have known that much at least, considering it was you I recieved the information from. Concerning the anniversary, I mean." He waved a hand in the direction the dark-type had disappeared into the night. "What was that all about?"

Xander gave Frost a smile and shook his head. "Don't worry about it, I'll get it. Do you want anything? Or anyone else want anything?" he asked Frost and what was left of the group. Most of the Rockets here he knew anyway had more things to talk about that would interest his roommate anyway so if he got drinks maybe when he got back he would figure out something to talk about rather then stand around an act like a wall flower. It seemed tonight Frost and his social skills where in reverse, something that amused him greatly.

"No." That hadn't been very polite. "No thank you. I am not thirsty." More to the point, he wasn't sure that his stomach would accept even water without rebelling. He felt as though he was being hunted, as if something was lurking in the crowds just waiting to strike out at him. He also felt as though it was moving closer with every moment the passed. He knew that it was irrational. He knew that he wasn't actually in any danger. He knew these things, so why could he not accept them?
The oppressive heat and noise made him want to scream and get away to hide somewhere cool, quiet, and dark. He had said he didn't want to come here, so why had Xander continued to insist? Dith had always done it too. They thought he would have fun when he got there. He never did, but he'd had never told Dith and never intended to tell Xander that the experience was deeply unsettling to him rather than just a mild annoyance. He couldn't let anyone, not even somebody he trusted, know about such a weakness. It was a weakness, and so he needed to suppress it along with everything else that was weak.
"I... see," Frost shook himself internally, turning back to Aila and lowering his voice again. "That makes sense then. Mmh. Well at least somebody else has stepped in briefly. A little respite for you."

Eyebrows arched slightly, seeming confused by his question, but glanced off in the direction Umbreon ran off. "Oh, experience in the past, and especially after the events at the branch, I have Umbreon checks the aria for me." It wasn't something new she did, Umbreon knew what he was doing, "Not only that, he enjoys being on his own in the dark," She added with a soft grin.
“Not that I am intending to seem rude, though we do take our own jobs very seriously. I’m sure you understand" She explained "Certain precautions were set in place,” The agent tilted her head slightly, watching the trainee. "You've got a ways to go in your service before you can gain the kind of trust that Aila seems to hope from you." She seemed very factual with this statement, saying it as if it were not even a bad thing. “Speak of, I hope to hear your re-training is going well?”
At the mention that it had been the information she gave him that inspired this whole thing The agent blinks, then smiled politely "I see, well, it’s something of common knowledge really," She shook her head. "Regardless, the gesture is appreciated, though perhaps next time a gathering in base would be a better option." She added, lanced in a chuckle. Indeed many of the rockets didn’t seem too thrilled about this idea.

"Ah. And what, may I ask, is he checking for?" the informer pressed, wondering if the dark-type would be unfortunate enough to happen across his two expected 'clients'. "Police, I take it? Or other signs of potential trouble for us?" Chuckling at the trust Faleen put in her pokemon to come back, and in a timely matter at that, Izaya nodded in acknowledgement, returning the agent's grin.
"Trust?" the trainee giggled. "She knows I give reliable information when it's important. At least to me. As we discussed once before, being a part of this team is really what's in my best interests at the moment, so my cooperation is pretty crucial at this stage in the game. Besides, she's over-reacting. This was supposed to be a fun little get-together; it's not as though I sent her into an ambush."
Leaning against a street light, Orihara stuck his hands into his suit pockets and beamed at her. "Very well; thank you for asking. I'm leaning a lot and it's very interesting to me - about team work, subordination, and the particular psychological details that relate to the department I'm to work under. The trick will be to convince Seth that."
"Common knowledge for you, maybe," Izaya pointed out, "But not something a relatively new recruit like me would know. Besides, I haven't really gotten a chance to talk to many other 'friends' of ours about these sorts of things." He purposely avoided the term 'Rockets' in the case that anyone else happened to be listening or overhear them.
"Mmm...I'll keep that in mind for next time. Truth be told, though, I really needed an excuse to get out and about tonight. Can't exactly go on leave for personal family business, can you?" he added in hushed tones with a coy smirk. "Besides, these anti-socialists need to learn how to get out of their comfort zone every once in a while. Literally." He checked his watch again eagerly. They would be here any minute, and he wasn't sure he wanted Faleen to meet them, or them to meet her. There was no telling what would happen.

"Anything, anything we wouldn't want close by, or have unexpectedly walk in on us. this includes police, or other trainers. He knows what to look out for." She glanced down one of the ally ways in time to see Umbreon's form dark through the darkness, and out of sight once again. She's wasn't at all worried about her pokemon's performance, She found, working with the same pokemon enough, makes for a team thats very aware of one another. or coarse, this also comes with emotional bonding as well, something Faleen didn't anticipate on, but is not opposed to.
This didn't mean Faleen could drop her guard about where they were and what they talked about, she to kept aware of her surroundings, in case Umbreon did miss something. No cop cars... Good.
"I wouldn't be to concerned about it, part of being a team, is recognizing the individual, Aila might have taken things the wrong way, but that is a behavior expected from her." Hazel eyes leveled with his, ending their quick glance through the parking lot. "Not everyone is as enthusiastic about get together, especially in our group, not that I mean to discourage you for the future, but its something to consider when dealing with certain people." Still she sounded encouraging "I trust that is something you will pick up on quickly, if what I hear about your knack for details on just about everything is accurate"
Her eyebrows arched, "I sometimes forget that those newly ranked in with our company don't always get exposure to the information a lot of the seniors do, My apologies,"
At the mentioned of personal family business Faleen tilted her head a little, for trainees, getting free time to go out was very rare, and difficult to manage, it was easier for grunts, and Agents, if you had a day off. for a trainee on probation like Izaya, it was -almost- out of the question. but it would seem he found a way to at least get out into the city for the evening.
The engineer was aware that he intended to meet with someone, and when he looked at his watch, she could only assume that the meeting time was drawing closer. She didn't blink at this, shifting her weight over her left foot. "I understand from the conversation inside you are to meet people. I could retrieve Aila for you, but I take it that she's not inclined to do much else this evening, I am required to monitor you." her head tilted down slightly, watching him closely from under her brow. "I suspect with me around this might complicate things, this is not my intent but I hope you understand the position." He knew he was a professional, in a world unlike their own, Aila seemed to be aware of it, so Faleen didn't have an opinion against his meeting tonight. Still, she was sure Seth would not like for this particular trainee to go unattended in the city for any length of time. She had no intentions of going against Seth's wishes.

Does he know to watch out for little girls? Izaya thought silently, but said nothing. He actually started to wonder if Faleen's Umbreon would have considered his twin sisters enough of a threat to alert the Rockets before they showed up. However, he said nothing on the matter.
"Yes; behavior expected from Aila-chan," the trainee chuckled quietly to himself. "Being on-edge all the time. Getting worked up about a party that was supposed to be fun. That's her, alright." He blinked as her hazel eyes met his crimson ones. "Hahaha...I'm afraid I'm a little too aware of how 'enthusiastic' most of them are. As I said before, some of them just need to step outside their comfort zone once in a while. I'm just trying to help them along in urging them out of their shells."
Smirking, he couldn't help but add, "As devoted as you may be to them, your robots, for example, are a poor substitute for legitimate human company. Ah, and no need to apologize - you're right. As an info broker, I should be familiar with such knowledge - new recruit or not. But I suppose that's one of the reasons I have you, neh?"
Catching the slight tilt of her head, Trainee Nakura grinned. "You're so dutiful it almost hurts, Faleen-san. True, it may complicate things a bit, but I doubt they would have been much easier had you not been around. At least it's you and not someone would allow my sisters to embarrass me." he grimaced, his grin disappearing. "They stand out way too much, no matter what kind of crowd they're in, so it makes it difficult for someone like me to keep a low profile if I'm seen with them. I trust you'll keep our little meeting secret."
He sighed and tilted his head back to look up at black sky, the stars outshone by the bright city lights. "The one who wears glasses and seems like a conservative introvert is actually quite talkative, and the one who looks outgoing and wears athletic clothes is quiet. They do it on purpose. Just seeing those two or hearing them talk is embarrassing enough. A fair warning now: I love all humans, but even I can't stand them, and if I can't, there probably isn't any way that anyone else can..."

She replied with a small hum of a chuckle, in good nature, and seemingly in agreement to what Izaya had said. It hadn't been the first time someone had suggested that robots could not be substitute for human company, logically she agreed, but that never stopped her. Most of the time she could honestly say she preferred the company of a Robot. to her, being able to build them from nothing, Robots had a lot more to tell and to give than one would think.
Her softer features fell to a more stoic expression however when Izaya went into a more detailed explanation of the people that he was planning to meet for the evening.
Sisters?
Lips parting slightly, as her eyebrows arched, listening to him, "I see" was a simple comment, but there was more to the tone she said it than just the words.
She really did see, and while she didn't know anything about the kind of relationship this man might have with his siblings, it was a point about having a sister, or sisters you hated that Faleen could relate to.
There was a slight narrowing of her eyes, almost as a thoughtful moment, before she lifted a hand, and shook her head. "So long as it does not conflict or endanger anything we do at the company, I will respect your privacy." she reassured "I'm assuming this is to keep up appearances? Is there anything you would like me to do or not do when they do arrive?"
As Faleen spoke, from behind her a figure slipped out of the shadows, his rings glowing dully in the night, ears pressed back with his eyes narrowed. "Breon" he growled in a low tone, enough to draw his master's gaze to him. the dark creature stalking forward to rejoin the group, staring out to where he knew there was a body approaching, or bodies. Threats? Probably not, but now master would know what to be careful talking about,a nd not be taken by surprise.

"Do you...?" The trainee turned his head to scrutinize her, his smile reappearing faintly. "Come to think of it, I've heard rumors here and there about the siblings of Rockets. Seems like there are quite a few about."
He said nothing more on the matter in case Faleen wanted to drop the subject. That didn't keep him from wondering, however. Was it just as bitter a topic for Faleen as it was for him? She seemed rather solemn about it, but perhaps he was just looking too much into things. The agent didn't seem one to express her emotions much anyway.
"Not at all," he assured her quickly. "They just said they wanted to give me something. I do hope they hurry up about it, though. It's getting a little chilly out here..." He shivered a bit and wrapped his arms around himself, scooting a little closer to Faleen. "Do? Oh, no, you're fine just how you are," Izaya told her cheerily. "You don't seem to ever stand out too much. Must be one of the things that makes you such a valuable asset to the team." He hesitated. "Maybe just...try not to get sucked into a conversation with them."
Trainee Nakura glanced over his shoulder at Faleen's Umbreon as he reappeared. It seemed he had heard them coming after all - if that was them, of course. "Oh, and Faleen-san...you might want to stand clear," he suggested with a sheepish smile, walking forward to meet the person or people approaching. "The twins have this nasty habit of trying to kill me in order to meet their idol. Mairu especially."

She had no doubt that as an informant he picked up on rumors like this. "I suspect thats probably the case." She answered, more to be polite, but as he suspected, she didn't continue with this topic.
Her arms were already crossed, And he was right, the air was starting to get cooler, much like how cold the desert got in the nights. She made a glance over to Izaya when he shifted a little closer to her, making herself aware of the movement, but after seeing nothing threatening about it, returned her attention to the dark buildings around.
A small smile feathered the corner of the agent's lips when he said that she didn't stand out. "It comes in handy sometimes," She agreed with him. She was good at not drawing attention to herself, just an ordinary women.
At the arival of Umbreon, Faleen frowned softly down at him, lowering her arms back down to her side, and following the pokemon's gaze, though her gaze was solen for a few moments by Izaya who said something some didn't expect. Her head jerked back slightly, eyebrows arching softly as she looked taken aback. Kill him?
Okay, no wonder he hated them.
"Understood." She acknowledged him, and remained where she was standing, with Umbreon behind her. Watching as Izaya moved forward, expecting to meet his sisters. Her pokeballs were still on her thigh, if they did try and take action against a Rocket, she could at least assist if it was required.
