Gabrian finally managed to whirl around after a particularly powerful thrash, which caused the floresce to slip off it's perch on the serpent's head. Once he was able to see the nautical, the demon let out a screech, clasping his jaw's around the thing's shell. He kept his hold on it, but rather than clamp his teeth through the nautical's shell, he pressed firmly on it, almost as if to warn it of what he was capable off, "Let. Go," after all, he recalled the fact Professor Malcom had told them to be careful with the Nauticals too and not to harm them too much. Something told him that snapping the creature in two would be too much and that really, if it was smart enough to be trained, it would likely let go upon feeling imminent danger. LW's Minipet HP: 7

Fruitloup biting the creature and Rhys latching onto it, combined with Ren's snarling and kicking apparently did have some effect. The creature's tentacle unwound from around Jove, throwing him to the side and Ren dived forward just in time, his little brother landing with a thud in his arms. The unexpected weight (though Jove was ridiculously light as it was) made him stagger a bit, and it made his bad arm screech in protest, but he didn't fall. Instead, Ren looked down at Jove with a vaguely panicked expression.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Are you bleeding?"
Not really hearing an answer, Ren cast one angry glare back at the pit and started walking hastily forward, intent on making it across the path as soon as possible.

It all happened so fast he didn't have time to react. At least until he realized he was safe in his brother's grasp. Then he began to whine, letting out a high-pitched squeaky noise until he gathered his wits and shook his head. No, he wasn't hurt or bleeding, just... surprised. And that whining never happened. He began to squirm in Ren's arms so he could get down, walk for himself like a normal student, and pick up his poor battered fluff, but Ren held him pretty tight. ((So Jove's boyish pride is a royal pain in the a** sometimes. XD;;; )) Fruitloup's HP: 14 Rhys' HP: 16 Dist: 94

Malodore lunged past her struggling form and dug its claws hard into the soft flesh just under the lip of the shell, trying to pierce the vulnerable internal organs as one might lance a boil. Master watched as her reluctant owner was dragged down into the pit for playtime, and she decided to use this free moment to groom a paw in midair while waiting for him and the reddish one to return. The first part of West that rose from the chasm was his voice, a shouted stream of curses that ended when he sped out of the darkness below, overshooting Master and shedding a handful of blood-tipped white feathers in distress. He scratched at his neck and screamed, "JACKDAMMIT!" before clumsily flapping off after Jericho, leaving his scareon to fend for herself. He was not staying in this area any longer than he had to.

Gabrian's eyes narrowed and for a beat, nothing happened. Then, the Nautical let go of Davy, whom whined pathetically and seemed to falter, as if unsure if he should resume his spot around the nix's horns. After a few moments of though, the minipet moved and curled around LW's neck instead, nuzzling the she wolf's face. It was around that moment in time when Gabrian felt the nautical yanked out of his jaws, and rather than opose it, the serpent opened his mouth, allowing the tentacle to pull the creature away. "Good ridence," he drawled out before lowering his head to check on LW, "Are all of you quite alright?" he eyed the pets and the werewolf in turn before nodding his head and allowing her to grip his body again, "I guess the only thing we can do is... swim," a small smile spread across his features, "Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming~~" and that's just what he did.

LW clutched BB tightly to her as she swam back over to Gabrian. Her eyes narrowed when the tentacle retrieved the Nautical from the nix and she waited a beat, expecting it to attack them again. But it didn't. So with a sigh, she swam over and...sat on the serpent. What? She needed to use her hands at the moment. Find the piece of FEAR candy she had brought. BB was still huffing, but he looked tired and worn out. Then Davy curled around her neck and LW smiled, nuzzling the floresce back. "Hey Charmer! You alright?" Patting him on the head once, she fed BB the candy and gave him a pat too. "You did well, terror."
Looking at Gabe, she snorted. "Aside from being even wetter, yes. I'm alright. What about you?" She gave him an affectionate pat that turned into a smack when he started to sing. "Only you!" LW sighed dramatically, lips curling into a smile.

Quickly, he wheeled back around to give his partner support. As he did so, Flamethrower was snagged right out of his grasp and it had grabbed Master as well. The cat was squirming to try and free itself, but he could see it wasn't doing so hot there. With a snarl, he shot a glance at the wrath demon then charged head on at the Nautical. "LET THEM GO!" he shouted while attempting to punch the damn thing. ((Flamethrower HP: 9 Damage: 7))

The demon lowered his head and slammed into the animal with his horns. He ceased flapping his wings for a second as a tooth-rattling shockwave reverberated through his skull, but once he had marginally recovered, West began laughing, his burst of mockery positively joyous considering the situation they were in. It was short-lived, however. His eyes narrowed and he fell silent when he saw Master go limp, and he balled his fists at his sides, ready to go after the Nautical a second time. Barth and Lilith
Lilith looked at the sloth demon and Glop carefully. It was probably a good thing that Lilith was never in a great hurry to get anywhere, but certainly quite adapt at getting there. It made her the ideal partner for the sloth demon. She smiled lightly, looking around as she held the cranky-needs-his-fix-follyjox in her arms. She imagined after all the withdrawing she had been doing on the poor thing that he'd probably be almost as eager to jump into the tentacles if she let him go. She certainly wouldn't allow that though, holding firmly on the creature.
"I imagine we'll see, now won't we?" She replied as she happily took the lead but only walking a little ahead of him. Her steps were light and her body flowed perfectly with each step, the tail on her outfit moving enough each step that her bare legs were clearly in view. "Perhaps after class we can continue this nice pace elsewhere. What do you think?"
