Alexis tilted his head. "I've always had a knack for controlling how much force I could pack into a blow... the static glove wasn't much different, really" he admitted. "In my case, it was an accidental incident where I nearly fell down the set of stairs leading to the basement of where I used to live... my 'parents' had faulty wiring in the damn house and it was simply putting my hand in the wrong spot at the wrong time," he said with a slight shrug.

 Rogue frowned at his comment. "Sounds like you have about as good a relationship as Ah do with mah parents," she said with a frown. She glared as Jubilee opened her mouth. "If ya wanna keep your sunglasses in one peice ya'll keep your mouth shut," she growled her accent coming thick.

Alexis shrugged. "I don't know your parents, but if they were anything like mine... getting away was better than staying," he said softly. "Besides, if we'd known those 'bots were around, I'm pretty damn sure we'd have noticed them going into the mall... though how the heck one managed to get in and apparently not raise the slightest bit of commotion while getting behind us bothers me," he said quietly.

Rogue sighed. "It isn't that odd an occurrance. Those things keep comin' and we keep destroyin' them. Personally gets annoying. Jest one day, Ah'd like to sit back and finish a book or something." She shrugged. "But people like Magneto or Momma or someone comes around and stirs up the mud hole.""You mean you didn't finish the one Hank gave you?""Don't tell Hank, but Ah can't get past the first three pages. Alexis chuckled. "I know the feeling, and I still haven't forgotten trying to read Hamlet... I fell asleep after about four pages of it. It was so boring it felt like getting put to sleep before an operation or something," he said with amusement. "One thing I can be sure of, it won't be boring living at the mansion," he said with a shrug.

"You can say that," she said. "It gets dull on the down time though. Nothin' much happenin' now aside from those tin buckets coming every other week and ole yeller coming to extract revenge on the hot head. Really annoying," she said her Mississippi accent slipping to lay heavily on some words. She looked at the guy from the corner of her eye.

Alexis shrugged. "Somehow, I think we can make that downtime less boring.... some woman with violet hair mentioned something about talking to me when we got back," he said softly. He had recognized Psylocke and suspected she'd known it, but wasn't sure how much she knew about him. He suspected with Larxene in his mind he was resistant to psychic abilities, though he wasn't certain.

 Jubilee leaned until she was between the two. "Psylocke is a load of fun. Just don't try to play any guessing games or trivia games with her. She cheats....a lot," she said with a frown. Why was it all the women seemed to go for the guy she liked...well single women. "Hey don't you and Remy have a date tonight?" "Ah think it's cancelled due to the weather," she said with a frown. "And sit back. Ya trying to get me a ticket?"

"Why worry about the outdoor concert when we could always make do at the mansion?" he said, though he saw Rogue look somewhat startled he'd guessed at what kind of date they'd been planning on going on. "I saw the flyers in the mall and heard more than a few people talking about it... besides, you put a guitar in my hands... I'll blow your mind... I don't know if having the ability to memorize and replay whole songs after one time hearing it is some kind of mutation or not," he said with a slight shrug.

"Hey... that was just a damn guess, how was I to know you and Remi had tickets to the concert when I overheard a dozen or so people talking 'bout it in the mall?" sounding both embarrassed and amused. "Besides, Remi's lucky to have you... knowing him, he'd get into trouble more often than not left alone," he said softly.

Rogue heard Jubilee snort as she blushed a bit. "Yeah..well. Swamp Rat's gotta good personality. If only he could get it through his skull not to touch mah skin, Ah think we'd have a better relationship." She took the key from the ignition as soon as the vehicle was parked and got out. 'Course if Ah could get rid of this power, it'd probably make things much easier,' she thought heading into the mansion.
