Conrad had gotten with in range of the spore attack and started to yawn before stumbling into a slump. He was fighting to stay awake and not quite managing.

Zack hadn't gotten that far yet and was just out of range. He barked his annoyance at being kept out of the game then used ember to burn a path through the falling spores.

Alexander back petaled when the Breloom used spore so he wouldn't be caught in it. With his luck with grass pokemon he would drop asleep then have an allergic reaction. Once the spores had fallen however he ran over to Conrad and pulled out an Awakening to use on him.

The moment the spores were released into the air, Arpeggio sprung to action. He dodged an attack from one of the few remaining Rattata before weaving and swaying in an elaborate dance. Once again it began to pour down rain, but this time it was center over the Rockets and their pokémon. Even if the spore had already begun to affect a few of them, he could minimize the damage by washing most of it away.

Demyx was already swaying on his feet a little bit from the attack when it began to pour, and the shock of cold water was enough to snap him out of it. Even so, he bit back a small curse as his hair began to wilt slightly from its style, strands hanging down and sticking to his face. Ah well, that was the hazardous part of a mission. He couldn't keep his hair perfect the entire time. He'd be crazy to even think so!

Nuu was pretty close to the spores, and didn't notice the cloud of spores, and it wasn't long before she seemed to deflate and drift with the wind in a haze of sleep. Ire was too far away to be affected, still trying to shake off the last of the attacking rodents... and rodents with wings, the disgusting birds they were. She was still bristling with electricity, and irritated.

Mau was even close enough to be effected by the spores, and found himself dropping to one knee. Aki, seeing his master go down shoved his nose in the dirt a moment, avoiding the attack. But now what?! Aki snuffled at Mau's belt until he found a pokeball and pawed at it until releasing the Pidgeot withing.

"PIGOOO!" She cried, flapping her wings as soon as she was out of the ball.

Thank goodness for that rain dance! Repo instantly felt his head clear for the haze that had crept over it.

And Deine was wondering who had the ball. Nuu had tossed it a while ago...there it was! She'd flung it high, and it was just coming down now. With a happy 'bliiim!', she nabbed it, cradling it in her four arms. Her tiny mouth explanded, sucking in air...up up up! She'd get even higher above the chaos, so if she dropped the ball, there'd be more time for someone else on her team to get it before it hit the ground. For now she was just concerned with keeping the ball high up. It didn't occur to her to carry it back behind the line of Rockets.

Her pokemon might have been able to flutter above the spores, but Tambrey lacked wings.
And she certainly felt sleepy despite attempting to place her arm over her mouth and nose.
"Ack." She muttered, trying to concentrate on the battle. She knew Palu could do her best on her own, but clearly she should... *yawn*... direct Lasi.
"Lasi.. Go... Go after the Breloom.. Uh. Use... leech life..."
She directed to the pink pokemon and then blinked, looking up sleepily.
Oh, hey. Now she was getting wet.
Ooh. Refreshing, actually.
The bookish grunt shook her head and tried to regain her focus.

Spore? Oh dear. That wasn't... wasn't... umm... Humm. His face appeared to be in the grass, and now he was getting wet. Maybe the oil would wash out of his hair. Ugh. Blinking dazedly Frost succeeded in pushing himself to his knees, but the soporific effect of the spore attack meant that he was struggling to make sense of what was going on around him. Galactic. Giant balls. Hehe. Giant balls. Double entendre.

He might have remained kneeling where he was with a vague smile on his lips if a rather restrained Icy Wind hadn't slapped some sense back into him.

"Mmfh? What?" Frost blinked and shivered; Skrion was looking expectantly at him. "Did we get the giant ball yet?" he asked the ice type, blinking dazedly again. "Really... really big balls." Focus. Needed to focus. Sleepy... No! Focus! Slapping himself sharply in the face, Frost pushed himself back to his feet. "The Breloom," he managed, attempting to shake off the last of the drowsiness, "Ice Beam it." Persephone was keeping up her attempts to send the Gliscor to sleep. Good that was fine.

Having roused his trainer (more or less) the Galceon nodded acknowledgement before turning to blast the Breloom with Ice Beam, just as instructed.

"Oh crap!" Panther backed up, covering his mouth and nose. Sebastian was not as lucky. The flareon yawned and started to fall asleep. The agent returned the pokemon to his pokeball. Just in time, the rain dance started up.

Above the Gengar and then the Haunter remained above the range, both pulling up a bit.

Shade toss a hypnosis at the Breloom. Shadow threw a night shade at the pokemon.

Between the beating coming from all directions and the Galactic Ball flying all over the field, Phillip couldn't possibly keep up. Tired and frustrated, the giant bat landed on the ground, whirled around and unleashed a guillotine attack at anyone nearby.

Meanwhile Deimos clung to the rail of the ariados platform, watching the battle intently as the Rockets played keep away with his precious prototype. "Tethys, there must be something we can-" He was interrupted by an ominous noise. All this time Nemerle and Switch had been dutifully at work underground, digging beneath the giant spider. Their work had paid off. The ground caved in and collapsed. The ariados lurched to one side as it fell into the sinkhole, bringing the platform about ten feet closer to the ground.

In a swift, practiced motion, Tethys grabbed Deimos by his cape and pulled him back from the rail.

His second-in-command's quick reflexes narrowly saved Deimos from being launched off the giant machine, sending him to the floor of the cockpit instead. Ignoring the fact she'd probably just saved his life, the Galactic leader sat up and glanced around, "What was that??"

The woman narrowed black eyes at the suddenly treacherous ground as she stood up again. "Sabotage."

"Well we can't just sit here! There must be something we can use!! Did we bring any other prototypes??

"The freeze grenades are in the bag by the pickles, sir."

"Oh right.. I forgot about those. I was going to use them if the sodas got too hot.."

"I doubt that would have gone well, sir." Deimos' lieutenant sounded slightly distracted as she kept an eye on the battle's progress.

"Nonsense, Tethys, I was going to recalibrate them t-" Deimos was interrupted when a defeated rattata soared into the cockpit and clocked him in the head.

"Sir? Perhaps we should throw them now and talk later."

"..agreed." After grabbing an armful of the grenades Deimos stumbled back to his feet and started pitching them over the rail. On the ground the grenades exploded in five foot bursts, like localized ice beams, freezing anything in their radius.

"Tethys, take the controls and see if you can climb us out of this pit!" Deimos shouted back over his shoulder as he lobbed grenades.

There was no reply.

"Tethys?" He looked back to find his second in command slumped over the controls at the hand of a singing jigglypuff. She looked rather peaceful.

Meanwhile on the ground the two Galactic grunts that hadn't been knocked out finally found the nerve to join the fight. They still had their sonic discharge guns and promptly fired them into the fray. Two metal orbs rolled into the battle and exploded with disorienting sonic bursts.

As rain pattered down, the Breloom whipped its head back and forth, searching for a sign of the G-ball. Still too high!

It seemed that Tethys wasn't second in command solely for remembering to print labels, because her Breloom wasn't going down that easily. With a trilling "Brrii!" the mushroom Pokemon danced backwards on its strange feet, the ice beam clipping and freezing the poisonous spores on its tail into uselessness. It had been less harassed than Phillip, but now the attention it was receiving was more than an annoyance as it felt something starting to suck at its life force.

"Bri?" The Pokemon looked to its pale trainer for orders, but squeaked in dismay. Asleep! Asleep! It acted off the last direction it had received, summoning strength to send a red-clawed arm stretching surprisingly high for a Sky Uppercut at Deine to knock the G-ball back to the Galactic side.

As the grenades rained down Skiron dodged with a quick attack. Persephone was not so lucky: her keystone was sealed up in ice, and as the fissure was covered her swirling features vanished abruptly. Until it defrosted, the Forbidden pokemon was out of action. While he had managed to dodge the grenades, however, Skiron soon found himself caught up in one of the sonic blasts. Stumbling around in confusion, there was little he could do for the time being.

Humm. Both of his pokemon temporarily out of action. Unfortunate. Frowning to himself Frost backed away from the action, trying to think of something useful to do. If he tried to rush in with medicines for his pokemon no doubt he would just be caught up in some attack or other himself, and he couldn't do a lot about the situation with the g-ball either...

Hello. That was a rather large branch. Not so large that he couldn't wield it though. Picking up the length of wood the small man moved quietly around behind the two Galactic grunts, and swung it around in a vicious arc aimed at the back of the nearest one's neck. Distressingly crude, he knew, but hopefully effective.

It seemed that as soon as he woke up Conrad, Alexander had to pick the Eevee up and run back a bit. As the freeze grenades started to fly all around he yelled for Zack to watch out. The Growlithe bounced around avoiding them and then also had to dodge the sonic blasts from the Galactics. He snarled when he got close enough to the Breloom and let out another ember to the pokemon.

Once they were safe from the grenades Xander let Conrad down and the Eevee imediantly used quick attack to get to the Galactic's fast. He then used tackle on the one that Frost wasn't attacking.

Repo had been almost startled as the giant ariados suddenly tipped, falling partly into the ground. So much so that he didn't see the grenades flying. A stray grenade went off too close to Fiain for comfort, and as the dust cleared...several of the pikachu's balloons had been trapped in the ice, and popped. The poor rodent was now squirming at the end of the ropes, the other ends of which were encased in a solid chunk of ice. Wit ha grimace, Repo held up Fiain's pokeball and called him back.

At least Deine, who still had the giant galactic ball in her four arms, was well out of harm's way. The sonic grenades were just far enough away to not be a bother...but how many of the ball's rocket defenders that would take out remained to be seen. If only he could recall the drifblim and the giant ball with her into her pokeball! "Fall back Deine! Get behind tha' line o'us!" At least there'd be a shot they could get the ball to safety before too many...no! Too late he'd seen the Breloom going in for an uppercut! Already weakened, it was about all Deine could do to shift her own body between the attack and the ball. With a sorrowful cry, it released the ball, tossing it as far as it could up into the air. Hopefully someone on her team would get it...

..And she had one last nasty surprise for the Breloom. As she fainted, a small explosion erupted around her. Aftermath. Repo aimed his second pokeball into the fray to recall the fainted drifblim. Hopefully her final sacrifice had done enough to the breloom to take it out?

Laidir was so pleased with his singing! That dumb galactic had fallen asleep right on the controls! Of course...the other one with the dumb cape hadn't. And that just wouldn't do. Didn't Deimos know that he was the BEST jigglypuff in Team Rocket--no--the WORLD? "PUUUUUUUUFF." He puffed up angrily, and tried to clamber up onto the stupid NOT-ASLEEP-MAN'S cape. Out of Repo's sight, he was acting alone.

Aha!
Palu saw the Breloom that Lasi had been told to attack, but now it was coming for the ball. She'd been told to help guard the ball and so she attempted to unleash a gust at the suddenly airborne pokemon.

"Keep up the leech life, Lasi!" Tambrey called, before looking to her bird "Good work, Palu!" It was just the move the grunt would have ordered anyway.

Lasi was not happy though. He could feel the effects of something horrible and sonic even from rather above them. Annoyed, he ignored the order for leech life and attempted to dive for the source of the horrible sonic disruption.
"ZUU BAT!" He told the noise to 'shut up!' as he dived with a bite attack in mind.

"No! Lasi! Leech Life the Breloom!" Tam' shouted, dismayed at the bat's action.

Being unable to see, Ire was stuck in the blast from one of the first few grenades before she could get back to her trainer and hopefully find rest in a pokeball for a while. Nuu had drifted to some unknown area to sleep. Aki and Ran were on their own for now it seemed.

As the Breloom soared towards Deine, Ran took off to try and cut the grass type off with a wing attack. Even if she didn't get there in time, she wanted to rip into that breloom.

Aki saw the metal thingy sink into the ground. That's what he was waiting for! As soon as the other pokemon were out of the hole, he was going to fill it up and freeze it, hoping to keep the thing from moving, at least for a while.

First spores, now rain, and wet and frozen. He was pretty sure his feet were stuck in the ice. "Shade! Get knock out the grunts!"

Shade nodded and flew up and over the choas, heading for the Galatic grunts.

Shadow tried to snag the G ball from the air.
