Sharra, now intensely frustrated that he hadn't managed to hit anything, he scowled at the gun, the shark, and all of it. "Come on..." He coaxed, "It can't be all that hard to hit a large, purple, toothy target..." If West could do it, then he most certainly could, right?
It seemed now everyone on deck, barring the slumbering Barth, was keen on trying to ensure that the more violent boil did not outdo them.
All fun and games til a shark eats a kitsune, anyway.

Close. But no purple shark blood.
Frowning she took a moment to steady her gun and carefully line up her shot.
Hmmm.... Was purple shark edible? They hadn't gotten to keep the tentacle monster but maybe this would give them some more food for the stores, she didn't care that they could last off the ships Fear, better safe than sorry.

....West was now beating her hit score. This would not do.
Frowning severely she pressed herself against the rails to get as close as possible and paused, waiting until she got a feel of the Sharks rhythm.
FIRE.

She didn't have the energy for Bambi-eyes anymore at that point. Tomoko was already writing her own eulogy in her own head. It involved a scene that looked strangely like the ending of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' with the glass casket.
And the animals.
And...the two people who would likely even be there.
If they could find any of the pieces of her.
Y'know.
If the shark didn't eat her. Whole.
It was about then the movie Jaws replaced the Disney spiel.....

West might have scowled a little as Mandy got the third shot. WAY TO STEAL HIS THUNDER, DROP BEAR.
But seriously. Tomoko was still floating out there, all wrinkly and sopping, like a cat caught in the rain. Or whatever she was.
West readied his much-less-awesome-than-a-harpoon grappling gun and fired. He was bringing that kitsune in.
TOMOKO IS SAVED TIME FOR HUGS

........................
She had never loved a boat so much in her life.
Which given this was her first experience with being on a boat...well... she was on a boat. Not in the water. Not in the face of a shark who was not blowing up because of an oxygen tank or electrical wires or something with Sea World attached...but man...she was on a boat.
And while she'd hated the boat and this trip and everything else attached to the trip (well, sans the people, but not their fault), she was so happy to not be in the water anymore.
To the point where she hadn't even made a point to go hunt down the ball of stars.
In fact, the second her feet touched the deck again, she sobbed and immediately latched onto her savior. Which in her mind was West. He'd been on the other end of the grappling gun-claw-of-life-thing and dammit, she was just so happy to be alive she had to hug something.
Though that wasn't to say that the clingy kitsune wasn't going to be easy to remove from her fellow demon. But man, wouldn't it have caused some guilt to do so in that moment?

Sharra just stared at West for a moment, as the nergal had been reaching for the grappling gun even as the other boil had managed to reach the kitsune with a shot from his own weapon. Damn. Forgetting that thought, he made his way over to the wrath-demon's side. "You...are the man of the hour." He applauded, clapping the other on the shoulder, though not so hard that the other might lose his focus.
It would really be terrible if all of that frantic shooting had gone to waste, now wouldn't it?

((THERE TOSHI, I CHANGED IT. xD))
West could scowl all he wanted because Mandy was scowling right back.
He'd done the rescue shot.
THE SCAREBOARD WAS UNEVEN WITH NO REMEDY.
This. Was not allowed.
Nostrils flaring she pulled in her temper and carefully putting her harpoon gun down consider the situation.
It'd been a shot to save the ghoul, not a shot to injure an enemy. She could discount it then, right? Right. If she didn't then Barth would be on the board and that just seemed... odd.
Satisfied she let an appreciative smile cross her face, "Nice shooting.". She wouldn't have been competing with him, even if in her head, otherwise.
Then all seriousness was ruined by the appearance of a sopping kitsune hugging the boil. Snickering softly under her breath she left West to his fate, it's what he got for rescuing her.

If his reaction to having shot the shark once could have been considered exuberant, West's response to nabbing Tomoko with the grappling gun was positively ecstatic. He even paused before pulling her back on board to engage in a bit of a victory dance. That was why it was perhaps so disappointing that the first thing the kitsune did once she was officially rescued involved hugging. Hugging and lots of water.
West had learned over the past few months that it was best to just let ghouls do ghouly things when they needed to, because smacking at them angrily usually made them cry. Most of the time, crying was worse than hugging. He held very still. It had worked in the past.
Even in the midst of all of the commotion, West didn't miss Mandy's scowl or her nasty chuckles. Why he oughta...! But no. Now was not the time for retaliation. It was hug time.
"Um... thanks," he said to Sharra and Mandy, even managing to sound somewhat sincere in the face of the latter's snickering. He remained quiet after that, coming to the conclusion that 'your misfortune brought me great happiness because it afforded me the opportunity to make use of several different varieties of gun' wasn't what Tomoko wanted to hear right now.

Fortunately for West, Tomoko soon peeled herself off of him and turned her hugging-attentions onto the next victim. Tomoko believed that she had to keep all affection equal (Yeah, she was doomed to no relationship ever unless someone broke her from that) and thus she had to go and descend upon the other helpers.
Such as Mandy, who was her next target.
And yes, Tomoko would stalk the boat until she was sure she'd gotten everybody.
Everybody.

GM POST & GAME - TOMOKO IS SAFE!After being impaled with the harpoons thrice, it was still unwilling to give up on the adorable kitsune - it wanted that for dinner! Determined and bleeding from the various wounds on its body, Mody Tick charged at the boat, ramming into its side with great force. Every time it rammed the boat, it caused R.A.G.E. to shake a little - once, twice... And something in Malcolm finally snapped. He wanted the students to become stronger, so he allowed them to fend off the adversaries they had faced so far without helping much. However, this had gone too far, especially after seeing Tomoko go on her hugging spree; it occurred to him how dangerous it was, to allow her to go through all that...
"ENOUGH."
Taking off his fur cloak and tossing it aside, Malcolm leaped off the deck and dived into the sea, straight at the purple shark. They wrestled where the students could see them, right at the side of the boat. There was a flash of purple, then silver, then purple again... A few minutes later, a flopping shark would be flung on board as the shaman climbed back up on deck, looking rather depressed despite his victory. He grabbed the tail of the now barely alive shark and took one look at Tomoko before muttering, "Lets go to the first aid room..." The fish was dragged to the kitchen shortly after...
Tomoko didn't suffer from much injuries due to her shipmates' help, but she had to take pills to help with dehydration, and there were band aids on various parts of her body for the splinters and cuts she received from being flung overboard with a plank of wood.
---
Later that evening, a large dinner was prepared - Mody Tick sashimi, Mody Tick fin soup, dried seaweed (not the boat) and a huge bowl of rice. The (still rather depressed looking) Professor even took out some Dr. Doom for the students to drink. He was quiet throughout dinner, and only when they were at the end of it did he stand up, raising his glass of Dr. Doom.
"To all of you, for bringing a fellow shipmate back safely a second time," He nodded, managing a small smile. He then proceeded to place something on the table, gesturing at West, "For hitting it twice and bringing Tomoko to safety, you get this from me. I removed it from that purple shark... Uh, SR also wanted you to have a slingshot of his... Told me its a special something for a special, raging boil. Mandy, SR has something for you too. Also a slingshot... Told me you have potential. Everyone else, here's a silver pumpkin seed for your effort."
He then paused, drinking his Dr. Doom in one breath before excusing himself, retreating to his room; it would seem like their captain was feeling depressed, having just realized how dangerous the trip was. Perhaps everyone should do something to try to cheer him up...?
OOC NOTE: - West gets to keep the jaws of Mody Tick! |D - Smerdle gets a rare, Mandy gets a random slingshot! *will send these!* - Pach, Sephiros and Toshi gets a silver pumpkin seed for helping!
New Game!: Malcolm is depressed. Cheer him up any way you want - write him a poem, draw him a picture, sing him a song... Just know that he will be emoing in his room and will refuse to see anyone! So things you make/do will have to be slipped into his room through the hole below the door, or can be heard from outside his door. You may do a collaboration (example: one person plays an instrument, one person sings) or by yourself. <3
You have 10 hours from this post!

Even though she was mostly unharmed, there was something very sad about a kitsune who was just walking around with band-aids and desu-eyes. Especially for the people who got their hugs after she'd been patched together. The only 'real' fortune was that she hadn't gotten as mangled as West had by the squid.
... .....
Tomoko was so happy she hadn't gotten nabbed by a squid. ;;
The kitsune wasn't much of a soda-person, looking at the Dr. Doom with a vague look but none the less sipping at her own cup of it as Malcolm made his toast, her eyes tunnelvisioning onto the sashimi. *__________________*
It was as though the professor had been able to understand her yelled Japanese panic the day before when she'd yelled that she wished the shark was turned into sushi. It wasn't -quite- sushi. But it was close enough. Closish. She'd take what she could get of it.
Either way, that was about all she partook of when it came to dinner. Her kitsune-belly wasn't much for cooked-food anyways.
However, it seemed that soon enough their captain vanished off to his room, watching him with a very much sad face. Awrrrrrr. There was so much sadness on the boat.
Somehow, the Kitsune found a piece of paper and in her best handwriting she scribbled on it and slipped it under the door of their Captain's quarters.
She wasn't sure if he'd be interested in such a thing though.

But it was really all she could do.

Myr frowned to himself, even as he paced back and forth. He wasn't doing a very good job of being attentive, two, two people had fallen overboard and almost gotten eaten, and he hadn't even realized it. ((Later))He was almost as quite as the professor at dinner, even if he did enjoy the meal, barely even talking to his friends. He was glad they were alright, but, well, he would just have to pay more attention now. No one else was going to fall off without him noticing. Now, if only the professor wouldn't take it so hard on himself. It wasn't his fault. There wasn't that much Myr could do to cheer him up, since he was locked in his room, but, he stood outside it, and played a song on his piccolo. It was mostly just random notes stung together that sounded decent, even if they weren't played very well, and he hoped that it would cheer him up a bit. Picollo Song (Not played by me)

The wrath demon, quite pleased with his new slingshot and shark bones, scarfed down his portion of Mody Tick and quickly hauled his prizes off to his bunk. He hadn't failed to notice that Professor Malcolm seemed a little down after the meal, but he couldn't fathom what all the doom and gloom was about, to be honest. If West ever managed to wrestle a shark to death, the sheer happiness that would result from such a feat would last him for a week at least. When he was done stowing his new possessions, West ventured back out into the hall, narrowing his eyes at the bit of paper he could see sticking out from under Malcolm's bright green door. Come to think of it, West thought he had heard faint piccolo music a little earlier as well. Were the other students... kissing up? Not to be outdone, the demon shuffled back into the boys' room and grabbed a heavy book he had seen there earlier. Not only was he fairly sure his animal-loving professor had read it already, but West also had a sneaking suspicion that the tome had already been on board when they had entered the ship. West was giving Malcolm back his own book.He tossed it on the floor near the door as he headed back up to the deck, grinning at the disruptive thunk that echoed through the hall as it hit the ground. Hey, it was the thought that counted, right?

Everything that happened had tired Sepheran out greatly, enough that he even managed to sleep through Tomoko trip overboard. It wasn't until the shark headbutted the ship that Sepheran finally got up startled. Wondering what was going on the Basilisk quickly headed to the deck only to be startled to hear what had happened. He was glad the ghoul who was thrown overboard was safe, though he was slightly ashamed he didn't get to help out. During dinner it seemed Professor Malcolm was a bit depressed as well. Any bad feelings he had towards the Professor after he left West to fend for himself was all but erased. Sepheran held a new admiration for the Professor, it seemed this Professor actually cared, something he thought the others hadn't during the last field trip. After dinner he wanted to do something to cheer Malcolm up, after all he did everything he could and to be honest this ship was probably safer then any of the others. He didn't really know what to do but he finally settled on a letter. It was simple, but he hoped the Professor could understand his feelings in it. Moving to the door he silently slipped it under and when back to his own dorm.
