"Okay, I...I think I can help." She had never really done anything like tracking before, especially with her nose, but she did what made sense to her, she followed where the scent was the strongest. It seemed to take them deeper into the cave away from their only source of light. As the cave grew dimmer Mitsu's eyes grew a little brighter to counter act the darkness.
"It smells like he came from this direction," The cave was becoming narrower, the ceiling not nearly as high and the walls getting closer and closer together. Turning a corner Mitsu noticed a bit of light again though it was coming from an area that was no bigger than a crawl space. It looked as though there were large slabs of rock piled on top of one another and under one of them was a way out.
Leaning down Mitsu had a look. The space was a little narrow but she was sure she would be able to fit pretty easily, it would probably be a little tighter for Shun but she was certain he could make it. "I guess this is a way out," She said getting down on her hands and knees and starting to push herself into the small space.

Following Mitsu through the cavern, Shun kept an eye out for anything else that could potentially bring harm to them. It was getting darker once again, but that didn't bother him seeing how he didn't have issues seeing for the most part. Eventually there was a bit of light once more, which called to his attention.
Wincing a bit as he crouched down to take a look as well, he waited for her to crawl on through to confirm things. It seemed like he would be able to fit as well, but it would definitely be a tight squeeze.
"See anything out there?" he asked.

It didn't take Mitsu too long to make it to the other side, her head peeking out from the exit point rather hesitantly. It looked like this spot came out in a heavily forested area, the trees so tall it almost made you dizzy to look up at them. It didn't appear there was any sort of danger though but soon the sun would be going down and it was hard to say what would be out while they were trying to find their way back.
"I don't see any animals....there's lots of trees," Mitsu called back pulling herself free from the crawl space. Turning around she leaned back down waiting for Shun to follow. "Can you make it?"

Lots of trees was a good sign. It meant they did finally find a way out. Looking through the hole, Shun went to push his bag out first.
"I think I should be able to make it," he mumbled while moving his way through the hole. He had some trouble making it through and he was slow in the process, but he didn't feel like he was getting stuck at all. The injuries he had also made it a little trickier for him.
"Are ye lost missy?" asked a new voice from somewhere behind Mitsu. It belonged to a rather scruffy looking guy wearing various pelts to keep warm. He had a bow and arrow with him as well.

Mitsu had started to enter the small space again to grab for the bag Shun was pushing forward first. That was until something caught her attention. The voice startled Mitsu enough that she turned around rather sharply, eyes as wide as saucers. The first thing she really saw was a large form covered in fur and her mind immediately placed that picture with an animal. A large predatory animal. Letting out a shriek she scrambled behind a large boulder, her tail frizzed out to twice its size.
"AH! There's a bear!" She cried out afraid to look back and see where the 'bear' was.

Hearing Mitsu cry out, Shun jumped and bumped his head on the rock. Groaning, he gritted his teeth and tried to push his way through the small space more quickly. He didn't think he could do a great deal against a bear but he sure as hell would try!
"A bear? Where?!" the man jumped while looking around with the bow and arrow readied for action, "I dun see a bear around here?"
"Where do ye see it missy?"

Hearing the voice again, Mitsu peeked over the boulder at the man, eyes still wide with fear. "Y...you're a man...and not a bear?" It was a stupid question but she felt compelled to ask as she stood back up, the fur on her tail still bristled out. It took her a moment later to actually take in his appearance, he wore so many furs he had just looked....furry.
"S..Shun," She stammered slowly edging back to the small crawl space. "T..there's no bear. I..Its a guy." The fear was slowly started to ebb away leaving her still looking a little bewildered. "Where...did you come from?" Mitsu asked. She had looked around and hadn't seen anything or anyone.

A guy? Well that was only slightly better than a bear. The assassin could handle a man more easily than a bear but he didn't know just how friendly this guy was. Finally his head came peeking out of the hole, so he was able to get a look at this rather scruffy looking man in furs.
"Oh me? Nah not a bear," grinned the man, "I come from 'round these woods. This place has been my home for the past 15 years. Oh hello there young man. So ye two lost or something?"
Narrowing his eyes at the guy, Shun continued to crawl forth until he was finally out all the way.
"No. We're fine," he said flatly, not all too trusting.

Mitsu grabbed the backpack to help Shun out and offered her hand to help him up as he crawled out from under the rock. The man's response really didn't answer her question, but it didn't seem to matter all that much.
When he asked if they were lost Mitsu immediately replied. "Yes." But Shun gave the opposite answer. Biting her bottom lip she tried to correct herself. "Er...no....maybe." Looking to Shun worriedly she fidgeted with her damp and dirty shirt. "D...do you know where we are?" She asked softly.

Glancing at Mitsu for the moment soon after being helped up to his feet, Shun looked at the stranger with a sense of wariness. He took note that the guy had a weapon, even if it was just a bow.
"I have an idea. It wouldn't take me long to figure the exacts," he answered her before frowning at the guy.
"Aw, no need ta get all defensive here! I aint looking to hurt ye. Besides, not often I run into people out here in the great outdoors," the man said with a smile, "I can help ye get to where ya wanna go around here, if ye'll let me."

Mitsu didn't feel like the guy was very threatening, though it helped to have Shun by her side. Looking up at the assassin, her brows furrowed together. He wasn't sure where they were so how long would it take him to figure out where they were and for them to get back? As it stood she was still a little wet and cold and she feared that once night fell around them that the real predators would come out.
"I..It's up to you, Shun." She said softly, trusting his judgment. If he said he could figure it out she would trust him to do so, if he accepted this man's help she would follow.

Grimacing, Shun looked around trying to get a better feel of the area but he wasn't coming up with anything just yet. He was trying to figure out what the best option for them would be. The sun about to start setting soon, and they were both still kind of wet from the underground stream. And they still needed to drive home on his bike, which didn't exactly protect them from the wind.
"Fine. Could you point us towards the east path, near Glenview road?" he mumbled. If they could at least get that much he could figure things out from there.
"Oh sure thing kiddo!" the man replied before turning to point one way, "Head over that way. Ye'll eventually come up a pair of ridges. Just walk between them then turn right when ye see Wolf Rock. Ya'll know what it is when ye see it. From there its pretty much a straight shot."
Nodding to the guy, Shun reached to take Mitsu's hand before starting in that direction.

Mitsu had no idea where they were going but when Shun took her hand she followed. "Uh...th...thank you Sir." She called as she stumbled once over a tree root before catching her balance. "How long do you think it will take us to get back?" She looked to Shun curiously, her hand squeezing his.

"Hopefully not too long..." Shun murmured while lightly squeezing her hand. It was harder to hide his limp when the terrain wasn't as even out here. The rough ground forced him to go slower than what he normally would, to avoid putting too much of a strain on his cut up leg.
He glanced back now and then to make sure the guy wasn't following them. But it seemed that the stranger had gone off elsewhere.
Further up the path, the assassin paused as he spotted something ahead. A closer look told him that it was a pair of deer walking on through the area.

The further they went the more Mitsu seemed to notice Shun wasn't walking the way he should. He said he would be all right but he seemed to be favoring his leg an awful lot. About to ask they had come to a sudden stop and Mitsu's head perked up as if looking for danger. When her eyes settled on the deer she relaxed a little finally turning back to Shun. Deer wouldn't be of any danger to them.
"Maybe...we should look at your leg?" She offered before they moved on again. "If you leave it, it might get infected."
