  ' Whats this, then?', Harrison expressed on his face as he took the glittery ruby cell phone from Tony's hand and perused the message:
To: Bella
From: Jack
Message: Hey -- I hope you're still okay.
We're all working our hardest to get you back.
I'm sorry.
Raising an inquisitive brow at the foolishness of sending a cell phone message to a kidnapped victim, Harrison tried to discern possible hidden codes. ' Obviously if she 'replies' they will know she is still alive and well enough to text.', With a curl to his lip, Harrison decided that he was not too fond of that particular outcome. However, there was another possibility. ' Perhaps this 'Jack' is the -friend- Bella had mentioned earlier.', with shrewd curiosity, Harrison held up the cell phone's message up in the air long enough for Bella to take a good long look at the message. Watching her pretty brown eyes flick across the lines multiple times, they finally settled at what appeared to be the bottom of the message before her eyes began to well up with unshed tears. ' Bingo.', Snapping the phone shut, Harrison carelessly plopped the phone on the table and carelessly flung his hand towards the device. 'You can take it', Declan wordlessly commented, and Bella reluctantly slid the device off of the table. Her hand a trembling hermit crab retreating into it's shell.
Impossible for a man who made his living reading faces to not see the pain on her face, Harrison folded his hand over his mouth and continued to study her pretty face. His elbow propped up on the table. ' 'I'm sorry'...could have a variety of different meanings.', Perhaps he meant: 'sorry for hurting you', or 'I'm sorry we are taking so long'. Harrison curled his lip in a grumble. ' No, he would have just mentioned the 'for taking so long' if that had been the case. ', Whatever the apology meant, Bella seemed to know the meaning behind it. Faced with a bigger, more appealing, challenge; Harrison grinned heartily and signalled for a waiter nearby to come to the table. Upon seeing the pain in her eyes, Harrison felt she would not disregard the suggestion.
" Rosco, could you bring me a bourbon please." Declan turned his attention towards Bella, and for some reason her eyelids slightly widened. As if she knew where this conversation was going.
" Would you care for something a little stronger than...", Harrison let his eyes drift to the table, studying the sparkling ice cubes in the glass of the bronze fluid.
"...Iced tea?", the widening of her eyes turned into a large bulge; but, he was too busy studying her face to realize that her shock was because Adam had entered the room. ' Women her age usually order something when given the chance.' Not even suspecting the possibility of Bella being an 'ice tea only' kind of gal, based on the way she had been dancing earlier this evening, there was only one other conclusion. Simply because Bella was making the exact same sickened expression his ex wife had made...while she was pregnant with Ronald. Waiting for Bella to snap back to reality, he waited like a coiled snake for her to order something non-alcoholic or insist that she didn't want anything. Appearing flustered, Bella simply pushed her hair behind her ear and stuttered a responce:
"...J...Just an O'douls please.", Harrison joyiously laughed. The girl had brains, he would give her credit for that. ' Non-alcoholic beer...', Bella certainly knew how to surprise him. Being pulled for 'healthy' loops was quite the change from his stressful business. ' So thats why she wanted to get married.', it certainly explained things.
Harrison's face sank at the thought, but on his bone structure he only appeared to be 'peeved'. ' A pregnant dancer...Not in my club.', Strangely, Harrison contemplated that thought with an element of comfort. One completely unrelated to her potential dancing career. ' I will not have that kind of blood on my hands.', his catholic background engraved into his roots since his ancestors departed from Ireland, his father would roll in his grave if he even debated killing a pregnant woman. Even if it was only the shadow of a thought, Harrison was convinced enough not to allow Tony to slay this beautiful woman.
Perhaps completely surprising his hopeful protege, Harrison did a very remarkable thing. Turning towards Tony, Harrison ignored the happy-puppy lopsided grin on Tony's face (from reading Alexis' text message) and pointed towards one of the back doors leading to a private pokar table. Regardless of it being empty a majority of the time, this weekened a 'high rollar' group of international pokar players was in attendance of the casino hotel, and had been offered to use the room. With a serious expression, Harrison pointed towards it a moment longer before snapping his fingers once. Just to hear the sound click into his own ear.
" Tony, if you could ask Mr. Salvatore if he is enjoying his stay, I would be much oblidged. I'm sure you want to ensure he is comfortable here.", Not waiting for the man to return, Harrison raised his hand in addition to his right eyebrow. Waiting for Bella to get the 'point' and take his arm. Being a man of means meant he never had a problem finding arm-candy; though, until today he had not allowed himself the pleasure. As she grabbed his arm, Harrison allowed his thoughts to drift back towards her brother: Cailen. A devious smirk rose to his lips. ' If I can have this little beauty, he can keep the difference he can't scrape up.'

Walking along the corridoor towards the hotel, Harrison had finally coaxed his way into convincing Bella he was 'trustworthy' enough to 'converse' with. With no idea where they was 'aimlessly' strolling too, Bella had even warmed up enough to admit that she was pregnant. However, at that admission the girl had stopped walking. It did not take a genius to discover that her eyes were pinned elsewhere. Looking at someone behind him. ' Who would she know here?', Turning around, Harrison saw Adam Rochester standing beside an unknown boy wearing a flannel shirt. Turning his head to look at the flannel-wearing girl beside him, Harrison discovered that it whomever that stranger was, Bella could not take her eyes off of him for almost a minute. The pain had returned to her eyes, and for a moment they had begun to water. The casino lights glistening in her eyes as her little hands tightened around his arm.
" Are those friends of yours Bella?", Seeing her doe-like eyes widen in a fearful, pleading, look, she made such a confusing expression that it was something between reluctant hope or bittersweet joy. Usually meaning the same thing, Harrison turned back around to discover another pretty brunette standing near to the flannel-dressed man, and it was then that Harrison debated a potential conclusion. ' 'I'm sorry', I can't be with you.', Thinking it such a silly thought, Harrison almost discounted it in exchange for: ' Save me guys! This man kidnapped me!'. It was the more obvious reason why her expressed appeared strained with worry. Seeing Adam walking towards him, Harrison pulled a business card from his pocket and lightly shoved it into Bella's back pocket.
" Those are my good friends Declan. If you...want the money, then we need to leave -now-.", Harrison's face almost paled in blatant surprise. ' What?', convinced this little cookie was too smart for her own good, Harrison let out a heart-felt laugh of amusement and folded his arm around her shoulders. Muttering something into her ear that made her eyes widen, Harrison looked up just then to see Adam right beside them. Shaking the man's shaky hand, Harrison was distracted by the partly-formed black eye on his face to make a proper smile. ' Whose boyfriend decided to give you a few light slams?', Shaking his head Harrison grinned a hello to make up for lost time.
" Adam! Its wonderful to see you. How long has it been? Six months?", Adam nodded and let out a laugh himself. Harrison had a welcoming face, it was hard for anyone not to smile back at his grin. Especially Adam, with his light-hearted personality.
" Yeah, I guess its been that long. I was hoping we could talk about my contract."
Uh oh...That was never a sign of good news. The situation now -demanded- delicasy, and Harrison was going to give the matter his full attention. Looking to Bella, Harrison waved her off towards the flannel dressed man and his pretty brunette girlfriend. With that painful gloss recoloring her eyes, Bella wasted no time in walking towards her other friends and feigning a greeting more pleasant than she felt. Of course, after the experience she had been through, the girl probably hoped that her uneasiness could be blamed upon it. Harrison had bigger problems, Adam's contract potentially being in jeopardy.
Adam; however, was in complete shock that the man just 'let Bella walk away'. 'Some hostage she was', Adam's confused face seemed to scream as he watched the three-some scurry away towards the casino. ' You better hurry girlie, before Tony realizes you didn't go to a hotel room with me.'
" If you are not offended, I would prefer we discuss this matter in private. Meet me at -the lot- in forty minutes.", Harrison pinned Adam with an 'or else' look before grinning to himself and walking away towards the resturaunt. Not wasting any time looking back, he assumed Adam had run off to catch up with his friends, and so Harrison pulled his phone out of his pocket. ' I wonder what became of Alice...', Snapping the phone open, he began calmly texting a message to Alexis, not considering the need to rush at this particular moment. ' Tony will get his money if I have to pay off Cailen's debt myself.', Usually Harrison would never consider such a thing; however, he was in a very jovial mood at the moment.
To: Alexis.
From: D.Harrison.
Message: What became of that blonde?
Did she have a legitimate reason for bailing on me?
Declan then pocketed his phone and continued his leisurely stroll with a shine to his eye and a whistle on his mouth. His mind fixated upon the possibilities that tomorrow would bring.

Alice's feet slammed against the ground as she ran as fast as she could away from the location where she had been kept hostage. Taking in her surroundings, she was definitely way out of the city. It definitely appeared that she was in some sort of a slum. Which of course made her feel even more uncomfortable. Occasionally she would see someone walking down the street, but none of them bothered to listen to her when she asked for help. This is a horrible neighborhood!.
Afraid that Alexis might be following her in her car, Alice didn't allow her pace to slow down. She kept running and running in hopes that she would find something or someone who could help her. Sure enough, up ahead she noticed a rickety old pay phone. Without even thinking that she didn't have a quarter to use, she ran up to it, still remaining vigilant for any signs of Alexis. As much as her luck had been nothing but bad for the entire day, finally she caught a break when she realized that there was already a quarter in the phone. Frantically, she dialed Adam's number, but it only went to voicemail. She didn't want to waste the call so she at least decided to send a message.
"Adam. Oh God... please turn your phone on soon and hear this. I just escaped from Alexis. She wants to kill me. She wants to kill Bella. If she finds me I'm going to be dead for sure. Adam... why can't your phone be on.... I ... I'm scared. I'm so scared," Alice spoke with fear dripping from the words leaving her mouth, "If she manages to find me... if she kills me. I just want you to know that I love you. Tell everyone else that I love them as well, but you... I love you. I would have wanted to be with you. Oh... no... NO!" Sounds of a scuffle could be heard in the background of Alice's message. Alexis had finally managed to find her. Quickly, Alice hung up the phone, remembering that emergency calls were always free from pay phones. She dialed 9-1-1 and almost screamed at the woman on the other line of the phone as Alexis attempted to pull it from her hands.
"Help! Please! She's trying to kill me! The street signs say Katherine and Terris. Please huu...." Alice was unable to finish her sentence before Alexis flung her to the ground.

The last t h r e e years were just pretend... ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎  It seemed like the two of them were taking forever. Skylar was getting so impatient that she had half the mind to just barge in there, not caring if there were other men inside as well. She kept checking her phone for the time. It seemed like it had frozen . Nothing had been happening fast enough today. In fact, everything seemed to decide to go extra slow. She was glad to know that Cailen got her text. She felt a little bad that he wasn’t here with them. He deserved to be. This was all about his sister after all and with him thinking that the whole situation was his fault it might be better for him to feel like he was a part of making everything right. There was nothing she could really do about it now, however. She would just have to make sure that she told him everything when she could.
Skylar stood straighter when she saw the door open and Adam and Jack came out. Adam made it very obvious that he didn’t like seeing her there. He would just have to deal with it though. Making a snapping gesture to her at the ground simply made Skylar mad. Was he seriously giving her a command like some kind of dog? There was no way that was happening. Why did guys think that girls couldn’t help in situations like this? It was just plain stupid. She didn’t care if Adam would yell at her, she was going to go with them and help out in any way she could.
Sticking close to Jack, Skylar looked around the casino. Bella was here somewhere. They were so close to finding her that Sky could just feel her adrenaline pumping. She decided to keep her eyes on Adam so she would not lose him. When she saw Adam stop she did the same. Looking ahead, Skylar felt her heart start to race. There was Bella with some guy. Was he the guy who kidnapped her? What do they do now? Too many questions raced through her mind with no answers. All she could do was just look at Bella and wonder what Adam planned to do.
Suddenly, Adam started walking towards him. Sky recalled the text he had sent her about knowing the guy she was with. Maybe he could figure everything out. Before everything had been moving too slow, now things seemed to be happening too fast for Skylar to even realize what was going on. Bella was walking towards them and the guy was doing nothing to stop her. Did Adam solve everything? She was just so happy to see Bella coming towards them, safe. It was something she had been waiting for since Bella had been kidnapped. She couldn’t help smiling. Sure there were still some problems going on but the biggest one was solved. Bella was back and, for the most part, seemed unharmed. That was all that matter.
Funny how a simple text can change everything. Skylar took out her phone to immediately text Cailen to let him know that Bella was with them and safe. She discovered that Alice had texted her. What would Alice want to talk about? Maybe it was about the text she had sent earlier. Either way, Skylar was glad to know that she could relay the good news to her as well. That was when she read the text message. She felt like her whole world was crashing down. Alice….dead. Impossible. Skylar felt her mind racing. She grabbed onto Jack’s arm to hold herself up and keep from falling. Tears were welling in her eyes. Skylar was finding her breaking point once again. She was devasted over this new loss of a friend. She wasn’t sure when she would be able to get over or if she would at all. Alice was one of the closest people to her. However, Skylar was also feeling another emotion. Anger. Whoever did this would pay.

Alexis' eyes lit up when she saw that she had a text from Harrison, a usual response for her. It did not occur to her that he might want to know how things were doing at the cabin, or what she was up to. She didn't know if she wanted to disclose her plan regarding Alice to him; unsure of how he would take it. Upon reading the message, Harrison seemed to be asking specifically about Alice. Alexis wanted to lie, but she knew that Harrison was not the type to forgive anyone who broke his trust. She couldn't risk losing him.

To: D. Harrison
Message: Must have been sick. Found her outside the hospital.
I have her now, she's connected with Cailen.
More pressure for money, y'know?
Thought we could ask for twice the amount if we had her.
Alexis tried to explain her plan as best as she could via the text message, and hoped that he would not react poorly to what she had informed him.

Perusing the 'high rollers' in the back room, Harrison felt his cell phone vibrate in his pocket, and immediately turned his attention down towards his phone. Speaking a quick greeting in japanese to an international pokar star, Harrison quickly left the room to flip open his phone and examine the text message.
'Text From: Alexis.
To: Harrison.
Message: Must have been sick. Found her outside the hospital.
I have her now, she's connected with Cailen.
More pressure for money, y'know?
Thought we could ask for twice the amount if we had her.'
At that, Harrison had to smile. ' Thats my girl, always going beyond the call of duty.', regardless of how 'oblivious' he behaved, he knew his little star had a little crush on him. Or at least, liked him enough for the 'evidence' to show on her face; however, he was perfectly serious about never mixing business with pleasure...and she was one of the more popular dancers at: Indulgence. Being a businessman, then a father, then a husband...allowing his little star to quit simply to be his bedmate was both unprofessional and inappropriate. So he quickly disregarded the thought a great many months before. Only looking at her with the same affection he felt for his little Ronald, he smiled at seeing the text as if she had gotten a gold star on her homework. ' I'll have to reply before Tony kills the girl.' Perhaps seemingly out of character, Harrison hastily typed up a message before shutting off his telephone and slipping it back in his pocket.
To: Alexis.
From: D.Harrison.

diligence darling, but I decided to
pay Tony for Cailen's debt myself.
So you can let her go now. I have
no interest in girls who bail on me.
It was the honest truth, and Harrison grinned at the thought of it before walking back out to visit with the other 'High rollars', conversing with the japanese gambler about life in Tokyo before attending to his other 'special' guests and walking towards his car. He had one other meeting to attend to with another hopeful star: Adam, and he was not going to miss it.

As soon as Alexis pushed Alice away from the payphone, slamming her head into the side of the plexiglass, she knew that she was going to need to fight back harder if she was going to survive. Alexis was absolutely crazy, and she seemed bent on killing her after she had tried to fight her before. That couldn't be the only reason that she was marked for death, but Alice certainly couldn't think of one.
"Do you really think that Adam is going to come save you? That's bullshit. You're just like me. You're just another meaningless ********>" Alexis taunted as she pulled on Alice's hair, dragging her back within her grasp to throw a few more punches her way.
Alice was now beginning to realize why Alexis harbored so much hatred for her. Although it didn't make a lot of sense. Alexis couldn't have had feelings for Adam - he never mentioned her, which means she probably never contacted him after that night... and it was pretty clear that she was obsessed with Harrison. But if something happened with Harrison... Maybe... Adam was the backup?
"Whatever. Maybe if you weren't such a crazy b***h, someone could love you! But Adam loves me, and I love him, and after I kick your damn a** I'm going to make sure he knows it!" Alice realized the words she was saying were only going to make Alexis more angry, but Alice was feeling a rush of adrenaline. Her hands formed themselves into fists and she threw all of her weight, through her fist directly into Alexis' face, and then in her stomach, knocking her over.
Alice didn't take the chance to stick around and wait for her to get up. She wanted to run, but knew that Alexis could just jump into her car and follow her again like she'd done before. Then, an idea struck her. The car was still running. It was a stupid idea, she knew, but right now her life depended on getting as far away from Alexis as she could. She knew how to drive, despite not having a car of her own, but she also didn't have her license on her. That didn't matter. She had to get away.
Hoping inside of the driver's seat to the car, she quickly belted up and barrelled away from the location of the fight, looking behind her to see Alexis looking furious that Alice had just taken off in her car. Alice didn't intend on keeping it, she just needed to get far enough away so that she wouldn't have to fight anymore.
Unsure of where she was going, she remembered that Alexis had mentioned that Bella was at the casino, and therefore, it made sense that if she let the others know, that would be where they would be as well. Even if they weren't there, perhaps Alice could help get her free. She drove as fast as she could until she reached the parking lot of the casino she had come to hate so much. As she entered the casino, she could see what looked like Skylar, Cailen and Jack all standing together. There was no sign of Adam or Bella, but she was relieved to see her friends, despite the fact that she looked like she'd just been attacked by a wild animal.
"We're in danger. I'm in danger. Bella's in danger. Alexis is crazy. She's insane... she wanted me dead. She wants Bella dead. We have to do something... where's Adam?" Alice frantically spit out without taking much in the way of breaths between her words.

 Cailen$Legosi By the time that Cailen got to the car dealership, it was already closed. “No! This can’t be!” he yelled at the locked front door. It was dark inside and no one seemed to be around. The sign on the door said it closed at 7. Until now, Cailen didn’t really know what time it was. It can’t already be that late. Where did the time go? It seemed like just an hour ago he was at the mall with everyone. He barely seemed to notice that it had been dark out for some time. He looked at his cell phone to see what time it was and realized that he had less than three hours to get the money to get Bella and Alice back. There was no way he was going to be able to get that kind of money in such a short amount of time. Unless…
No, I can’t do it. No way. He didn’t want to do it. It was more of a last resort kind of thing. A small thought that he dismissed the moment he thought of it, except now it found its way back to the front of Cailen’s mind. He would rather take the money he had now back to the casino and take his chances there. There was no way to be sure that his plan could work. It was risky, very risky at that, and could potentially mean more harm than good. It went against all the moral standards he had. How would his friends take it? Would they be angry with him, or just glad that he got the money to rescue both Alice and Bella? He was still seriously contemplating the idea once he got back to his car. He sat there for a few moments thinking of the pros and cons of the plan. To break him from his thoughts, his phone went off revealing that he got a text message from Alice.
Before he opened his phone to read the message, he wondered how Alice could have been using her phone. Maybe she escaped? This thought made him eager to read the message. Except as soon as he read it, he instantly regretted it. Alice dead? No. The thought was impossible. She can’t be dead, not now, not yet. Of all the ways she could have died, she had to die at his fault. Of all the things that happened today, he knew they could be fixed. His relationship with Alice, could be mended, Bella and Alice’s kidnapping, could be resolved. But now that Alice was dead, that could not be fixed. As much as he wanted it to, even if he did everything in his power to fix it, it just couldn’t be fixed. He couldn’t bring back someone from the dead. This new bomb that got dropped in his already shattered world sent Cailen over the edge. That was the last straw.
He had to do something, something that was going to get him somewhere. No more waiting around and his feeble attempts at getting money. He needed to do something serious, and do it now. There was no question in his mind that his earlier plan was going to happen. What he planned on doing wasn’t as bad as killing an innocent girl, and if he went to jail for it, then so be it. He would rather spend a short time in jail then lose Bella. He sped away as fast as he could back to his mother’s house. She still wasn’t back yet when he raced into the house and down to the basement. He dug through the winter and ski things they had tucked away in a tote, pulling out a black ski mask. Then he went back up to his room and threw on a black sweatshirt. On the way out he thought about grabbing a BB gun, but decided not to. If the police caught him and he had a weapon, then they’d shoot him for sure and he was no good to Bella if he was dead.
Cailen was first going to go to a bank, because he knew that would have the money he needed, but decided that it would be too secure for an amateur like him to rob. As he was driving, he went by a small donut shop that he used to work at when he was 15. It wasn’t a big named shop like Dunkin Donuts, but it still made quite a bit of money, and it was closed. Since this was the place Cailen had his first job, he knew his way around and knew where their security system was. He parked his car around the back and jimmied the lock on the loading dock door. He made sure to keep the mask on and his face down because there was a security camera up in the corner. Once inside he found the security system control panel and punched in a code. He hoped that George didn’t change the code since the last time Cailen was here.
Thankfully, it worked. The screen said the alarm system was off. Going over to the safe in George’s office, he looked around for the combination to the lock. He knew George kept it written somewhere in here because George was a forgetful person. After looking in every drawer and on every piece of paper, Cailen still hadn’t found it. Then he saw a picture of George’s daughter. She was only five when Cailen started working here, but she was the nest thing in George’s life. He loved her so much. Going on a hunch, Cailen looked behind all of the pictures of George’s daughter until he found what he was looking for. 11-23-01 was the birthday and combination to the lock on the safe. Grinning from ear to ear, Cailen reached into the safe and pulled out all of the money that was in there. Just by the looks of it, he knew he finally had enough money.
He didn’t know how where to go next, but he had a good feeling that he’d find Tony at the casino. So driving as fast as he could without getting pulled over by the police, he made his way to the casino. Once in there he found Jack and Skylar. “I got it! I go the money!” he said once he ran over to them. Then he saw Skylar’s saddened face. She must know about Alice. “I’m so sorry about Alice, it’s all my fault.” He was about to say more when a miracle happened. Alice ran over. Alice, the one Cailen believed to be dead. He saw her shirt covered in blood and became really worried. The first thing he had to do was hug her. He couldn’t believe she was alive. This whole time he thought he lost her, that he’d never see her again. “Alice your alive! I can’t believe it!” Then he listened to what she had to say. Alexis? Who was she? Suddenly Cailen felt like he was missing something. Alice seemed worried about her though. Was that who tried to kill her? “Alice don’t worry, they can’t hurt you know. I got the money, all of it.” He opened the bag just enough for them to see the thousands of dollars he stole. OOC: I'm sorry if it's really long. If you don't like it then I can change it.

Only a few tears managed to make their way out and stream down her face. They needed to do something. Call the police. They should have done it sooner but hadn’t. Sky felt responsible. She was the one who urged everyone else to listen to her about it and she never had. A phone call to the police wouldn’t have lasted long. Apparently, she didn’t think it was too important. She was an idiot.
The world had been spinning the instant she read the message. Slowly it started to settle but still shook. She eased up her grip on Jack’s arm. She needed to be able to stand on her own. That was proving difficult, however. Her eyesight was blacking out in spots. It was getting to a point where she couldn’t see clearly what was right in front of her face. ’Oh God, not know please.’ This was the last thing she needed to happen.
She opened her eyes and her vision slowly started to come back to her. That was when she saw Cailen. She was glad that he was safe. Now everyone was safe….except for Alice. Cailen seemed to know right away what was on Skylar’s mind. She wanted to tell him that it wasn’t his fault but before she could she started hallucinating. At least, that’s what she thought was going on. She saw Alice coming towards them. That couldn’t be. But then, Calien saw her too. He was wrapping her arms around her. She was alive. ”Oh my god, Alice. Are you okay?” It was the only thing that she could think of to say.

Alice felt as if once she walked into the casino, her friends were staring at her as if they were seeing a ghost. She was completely unaware of what Alexis had texted them, but she did know that she was missing at least, so Alice figured perhaps that was why they assumed she had been killed. They seemed so incredibly happy to see her, but she didn't want to take comfort in the familiarity of Cailen's arms. Alexis was still out there and she was really pissed off now, on top of being absolutely psychotic.
"Alexis was the girl who came up to me and asked who I was," Alice explained in response to Cailen's question about who this woman was. Alice realized she also had more explaining to do, unsure of what they even knew about the situation. "My dad didn't text me earlier, she did. But I didn't know who it was. She said she knew where Bella was and that she would tell me if I came alone. But she just wanted to take me as well. She's insane... crazy!" Alice had a hard time holding back the tears from forming in her eyes from the pure emotion of everything that had gone on. "She's a dancer at Indulgence. She's working for Harrison, the owner. He's the head of everything. Tony works for him. But she's... she's gone off script, I don't think Harrison knows that she plans to kill Bella. She's also going to kill me if she finds me... and right now I don't think this casino is the safest place for any of us to be."
Alice scanned her eyes around the room as she frantically spoke, looking for some sign of either Adam or Bella. She felt a little bit out of the loop on what had been transpiring while she was fighting for her life against a crazy-woman. But she was right, the casino was not a safe place for any of them to be. But was any place safe? Alexis was a mad-woman on a mission. If she was going off script, there was nothing that was going to stop her from achieving her goals. Unless...
Her eyes flocked to the sight of a familiar man walking out the door to the casino. It was Harrison, she clearly remembered his face from when she had run into him that first time at the casino. Immediately, she knew she had to catch him before he managed to leave. If Alexis was disobeying his orders, then maybe if she warned him that she had lost it, he would be able to keep her in check. Maybe he wasn't horrible after all, since apparently he took Bella out for supper, according to Alexis' ramblings. He probably didn't want anything to happen to her, and something would definitely happen to all of them if Alexis remained on the loose. She released herself from Cailen's grip and told the group that she had something she needed to do and that they could follow if needed, but she had to act now. With that, she took off in a run and caught up with the man just as he was about to step into his car.
"Excuse me!" she called out to get his attention, "Mr. Harrison! I need a word with you. I'm Alice. I don't know if you remember me but it doesn't matter. I'm in danger... and Bella is in danger. Alexis... she works for you... she's crazy, she's lost it! She's going to kill us. I don't know if you can do anything... but you're the only one who can calm her down, she's obsessed with you!" Alice spoke as quickly as she could, knowing that he was a busy man, and he was not going to stand there and waste his time if it wasn't an important matter.

Everything happened so fat, Jack didn't know how to take everything in as it happened. They had gotten Bella back, Jack couldn't hide his happiness. He wanted to grab her and hug her, kiss her, never let go. But Skylar's grip held him in place. He was too busy in how own mind to realize his phone had gone off, so the fact that Skylar was sad didn't register anything about Alice. When Alice approached them, Jack smiled. Then Cailen came back, it was like some kind of movie when all the friends somehow found their way back to each other to finally defeat the bad guy to go home and eat popcorn. Everything was slowly going back to normal, until Alice spoke about some crazy girl named Alexis and some guy named Harrison. Jack was confused, no doubt. He just wanted everything to be over. He just wanted everything to back to what it once was.
When Alice ran off, Jack followed her with his eyes. She had approached an older gentleman, calling him this Harrison fellow. Jack raised another confused eyebrow and fixed his grip on Skylar's hand. He wished he could just grab Bella and hold her, he knew she must have been scared. He gave her a smile, with his other arm out slightly to embrace a hug, if she wanted it.

 Clutching little ‘Toby’ to her chest, for the longest moment Bella could do nothing else but stare. It was both the purest joy and the deepest pain to see Jack again in person. On the one hand, she got to see him alive and well; but, on the other hand, Bella remembered his ‘text message’ and the wound cut deeper. I‘m sorry…There could be no other meaning in her mind for that statement than the one she had earlier prepared herself for. ‘I’m sorry, I can’t’. Her chocolate browns drifting towards Jack and Skylar’s conjoined hands with the same morbid fascination with always having to look at road kill, Bella swallowed her pride and took that painful step towards her friends. Not even noticing when Adam stayed behind to talk to Harrison for a moment. ‘ Oh God…is it supposed to be this hard?’, Bella genuinely questioned as her usual ‘emotionless’ expression overtook her face. Be strong Bells, very soon you can get your car from the mall’s parking lot and drive to Massachusetts. Fearing the possibility of the ‘flier’ in her car being discovered by Tony or one of his pokar ‘henchmen’, her hopes of staying in that quaint bed and breakfast were immediately dashed. At least for the foreseeable future. With the pain she had been feeling since she first saw that text message, Bella knew in her heart what she had to do to be safe. She had to either cling to Harrison, or leave. Now.
What Bella wasn’t going to say, was that she was going to go alone. Things would be easier on the baby knowing she hadn’t put her friends in any more danger. In addition to that, she would have the self-confidence to know that she hadn’t shanghaied the man she loves into something he didn’t want to do. ‘ Not that this matters now.’, Bella’s eyebrows squished together in thought that he had already changed his mind, and with a gentle sigh she started walking faster. Only then aware that she had been crawling across the carpet at a snail’s pace.
Seeing Jack send her some sunshine, Bella could feel a blossom of happiness well up in her chest and as much as she tried to fight it, the hint of a smile curled her lip. However, when Jack raised his arm in an open: ‘if you want to’, that was just too much for her to continue smiling. Because seeing that arm raised, after remembering what had gone on in the changing room earlier, dug the knife in deeper. All at once, the way he held her, his scent nuzzling against her nose, and the warmth of his embrace proceeded to flood into her consciousness. Like when the shower nozzle suddenly sprays out water directly onto one’s face. She was stunned and cold. Clamping her eyelids shut, Bella barely moved her chest in one secret, heavy, sigh. No matter how much she wanted to shut the world out and cancel her attachment for Jack, she couldn’t. ‘ If I could, Jack…I‘d hold you like that again; but, I can‘t. ’, Jack had made her choice, and she wasn’t ever going to bring up what happened in the changing rooms again. She couldn’t, it would only bring her more pain…and that wasn’t good for the baby. Clutching Toby to her tummy, Bella averted her gaze to look at Skylar. ‘ I can‘t be ice cold all the time, not when they‘ve all been worried about me…’
Smiling as brightly as her heavy heart was able, Bella walked forward to fold her arms around Skylar’s body. Squeezing much stronger than she had ever held Skylar before, Bella nuzzled her head against her shoulder as a ruse to sneak a passing glance at Jack. I understand, you know. I don‘t have any hard feelings. Smiling her awkward smile that was much freer than the one she had almost shown before, Bella absentmindedly stroked/patted her hand against Skylars back to delay the moment so she could look into Jack’s eyes a half-moment longer. ‘ I don‘t care if this is sneaking; but, if you think about it, all our moments were stolen to begin with. I can steal another smile.’, Bella mused as she grabbed at Jack’s sleeve to pull him into a group hug. Only hugging to try and prove that she wasn’t shunning her friend, her part of the group hug was brisk and lighthearted. Very akin to the way one hugged beloved, but estranged, family members.
Completely unaware of the drama where Alice was involved, Bella noticed the blood staining her blouse and felt all her energy drain out of her arms. ‘ What happened!’, in a state of shock, Bella shook her head and withdrew into her shell again. Ending the hug abruptly and drawing near to her brother. If not for the pressing wound, Bella would have ran across the room to tackle-hug her; but, as it was she was talking to Harrison.
“ Mr. Harrison! I need a word with you…”, Bella listened to her entire speech with tremors of anxiety tingling up her body. ‘ Alexis? Is she that brunette? Why would she want to kill me?’, Belle didn’t have to wait long before Alice answered her question.
“ She‘s obsessed with you!”, Bella felt her eyes widen as the color drained from her face. ‘ We have to leave! All of us!’, Bella passed a worried glance towards Jack, wanting to lean on him emotionally out habit, before water welled up in her eyes and she turned away. With no one else to turn to, her heart was irrevocably drawn to the one person who had always been attentive to her. Adam. Even though she didn’t feel attraction for him, the idea that -just- maybe he would go along with being the ‘factual’ father of her child was too strong to ignore. ‘ I can‘t keep screwing everything up…’Which seemed to be a good plan…except…
Adam wasn’t there.
Raising her eyebrows in confusion, Bella swayed like a contemplative cobra trying to see his hair through the heads in the casino. Sucking on her teeth, an annoying habit; yes, Bella shrugged and turned her attention back to Harrison. Who was smiling broadly with a chuckle escaping his lips. She wasn’t sure -what- was so funny about this situation; but, something must have been funny. Seeing Harrison shake his head and look towards her, Bella’s stomach tightened and she cringed at the idea of being ‘re-stolen’ again. With losing her…childhood, from that night with Jack, she ‘learned’ enough about the human body to know what men desired with more than just her ‘mind’. Harrison wasn’t an unattractive man, but he was older, and she wasn’t in love with him. ‘ Oh don’t start that now…You were going to do that if it meant saving the baby and taking care of Cailen’s debt.’ Bella sighed to herself and looked away.
“ Bella…That place I was telling you about, the address is three-three-two. ”, Harrison raised his eyebrows and nodded, and after pondering a moment, she remembered what it was he was talking about. Her mouth forming into an ‘O’, Bella nodded and watched as Harrison turned his head to look down at Alice.
“ Alice, I‘m not very partial to the requests of someone who failed to show up for me…”, he pinned her a critical look. Every once of cheerful play having been extinguished from his eyes.“ However, given the light of this situation, I told her to not bother with you, and she didn‘t listen to me.” Tugging at the bottom folds of his suit-coat, Harrison seemed to ruffle strait the fabric in the similar manner that a rooster shook its head in irritation. In no way was Harrison in a jovial mood, and he expressed the full measure of his irritation on every facet of his face. Pulling his cell phone out of his pocket, Harrison pinned his eyes on Alice again before snapping it open.
“ Don‘t worry your pretty little head about this, I‘ll handle this.”, With that, Harrison nodded his head towards Bella. “ Bella, why don‘t you and your little friends go to the place we talked about. When the situation is under control, I‘ll call and alert you.”, With that, Harrison pressed a few buttons on his cell phone and pinned the plastic against his ear while walking away from the party. Feeling that everyone might be looking at her for an explaination, Bella awkwardly smiled and clutched her teddy bear to her chest.
“…I‘ll tell you guys in the car…”, Bella mumbled before walking towards the exit. Providentially, Adam came out of a the dark hallway located near the restrooms. Seeing his black eye again, the color drained from his face, and his hair damp with sweat, his injuries looked much worst than they actually were. Especially when it was combined to the depressing, lifeless, slump he used while walking out of the hallway. Unaware to her, Adam had just finished listening to his voicemail messages. ‘ Did his dad die or something?’, Watching him trudge his way from the bathroom hallway, Bella saw Adam raise his head and widen his eyes in shock. Nay, shock was an understatement. Adam was staring past her towards Alice as if his brother walked out from behind a slot machine to stand behind her. For the longest moment, Adam didn’t say anything, in fact, he tried to take a step and wobbled onto the floor.
Scrambling to catch his footing while running, Bella shook her head at how much he resembled a: fish out of water. But he didn’t hesitate long enough for Bells to question the matter anymore. Disregarding the fact that Cailen was standing so near to Alice at this particular moment, Bella’s mouth formed an ‘O’ as Adam bolted from his spot. His feet pounding on the crimson carpet, Adam nearly suffocated his arms around Alice’s body and nuzzled his nose into her neck. Seeing his back shaking slightly, a string tugged at her heart when she realized that Adam was crying. Torn between stepping forward to rub her hand against Adam’s back or staying put and giving him a moment, Bella stood with one hand raised in debate. ‘ Wow…Adams having a meltdown.’, In her heart, especially from this morning, Bella knew that all men were gooey on the inside, especially the aggressive ones. They just didn’t like showing it very often. It could have just been an illusion brought on by the shaking of his body while crying into her shoulder, but it looked like Adam was mumbling things into Alice’s neck. Straining and leaning in to her, all she could decipher was watery jibberish, so Bella turned towards Cailen and tugged at his hand.
“ Cale…Can we go to the car?”, Unsure why she was whispering to keep from breaking a little ‘moment’, Bella started walking a step, and continued to tug at her brother’s hand in the hopes of convincing him to leave before this: stranger, found them. ‘ If Alice is right, then home isn‘t safe.’, Looking back at Adam and his best friend, Bella stole a fleeting glance at Jack until the pain forced her to turn her head away. ‘…Stop looking at him!’, with that, Bella gripped the teddy bear to her chest and started hastily walking towards the parking lot with a stomp to her own unintentional strut. Wanting to escape from the world just as badly as someone else right about then.

Alice wanted to explain to Harrison that she had a good reason for bailing, but decided against it when he agreed to help them out for Bella's sake. He could have completely blown the situation off, but hopefully he understood just how unstable Alexis was. Perhaps he already knew. "Thank you" Alice spoke softly before turning back to her friends, only somewhat feeling better about the situation. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught the glance of someone very familiar, and it took all that she had not to run out in his direction. It turned out that she didn't even need to, he clearly beat her to it.
His clinging embrace almost knocked her off of her feet, as she wasn't expecting quite an exuberant greeting, after all - he had his phone off when she called him, she had figured he had moved on or at least didn't care enough to be waiting to see if he heard from her. In all the worry about Alexis, Alice had been able to ignore the throbbing pain of the bullet wound that had grazed her earlier, but as Adam clung to her, she was reminded of its existence. She grimaced slightly, but forced herself to deal with the pain. She didn't want him to let go.
It became painfully obvious that he had at some point, turned on his phone and heard her message, when he started to shake. Alice also felt little droplets of water on her neck. He was crying. He too thought she was dead, and that must have been a pain that he was entirely unable to handle. Immediately, Alice wished that she had never responded to that text message from Alexis. It had been an incredibly stupid move and the results only caused pain for everyone. But she had genuinely believed that she would have been able to help Bella. Thankfully, Bella was now safe. Well, as safe as any of them were right now. "I'm so sorry...." Alice whispered, more than likely only loud enough for Adam to hear. Of course, that still didn't make the pain in her chest subside, nor the throbbing agony of her shoulder. She knew she needed to see a doctor, but right now, she was more concerned about everyone's, including her own, safety from Alexis.
Adam then whispered quietly into the soft skin of her neck. At that moment, her own tears began to fall from her eyes. Just hearing the words, over and over were enough to open the flood gates. For a moment, guilt overwhelmed her. This powerful display of emotion was going on right in front of Cailen. Before she was abducted by Alexis, she had told him that she loved him. This wasn't untrue, but it was just not in the same way anymore. But she didn't want him to be hurt. He knew Adam loved her. There was no question about that, and he hadn't reacted very well. Now, judging from what he was now witnessing, it would be clear to him that she loved Adam back. That was enough to want to break free from Adam's embrace and apologize to Cailen, to perhaps take a walk with him and explain everything to him. He deserved as much. She squirmed slightly, but couldn't bring herself to allow Adam to let go. The pain of him not being that close to her right now, was too much for her to handle.
Alice noticed that Bella had whispered something to Cailen. Surely, Bella sensed that Cailen needed to be removed from this situation. Thank you. She thought, wanting to say it out loud, but did not want to say in front of Cailen. She didn't need to cause anymore pain for him.
Ignoring how much it hurt to lift her sore arm, she did so anyway to enable her to stroke her fingers through Adam's hair. He was completely breaking down in front of her, and she wanted to sooth him in whatever way she could. "Everything is alright now. You know I'm not the type to go down without a fight," Alice whispered, completely skirting over the issue that they weren't in fact, alright. Alexis was still out there, able to show up at any moment. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here. I won't leave again. I promise."
She looked up at everyone else, as if silently asking for direction on what to do next. She wasn't going to be making any decisions, she just knew that they needed to find someplace safe.

Cailen$Legosi At first when Cailen arrived at the casino with the money he needed, he thought his problems were solved. Tony got what he wanted and he had to return what he took, except that didn’t seem to be the case now. Cailen now realized that it wasn’t Tony that was behind this at all, it was much bigger than that. Alice wasn’t taken for leverage to get the money, she was taken out of revenge. As he held the sack of money in his hand, it seemed to become heavier and heavier as he felt the guilt for stealing all that money. If he knew, then he wouldn’t have taken it. Of course all he had to do was return it and hope that they didn’t press charges against him. At the moment though, he didn’t have time to think about him and what might happen, he had to focus on what was happening now. He became increasingly worried as Alice described this Alexis girl and how she wanted to kill Bella.
He was not going to allow that to happen. They had to get Bella and get out of there fast. First stop was the hospital to check out Alice’s wound since it seemed to be still bleeding. In the midst of trying to think of a plan, Alice ran off chasing after some Harrison man. Not going to allow her out if his sight again, he ran after her. He was not going to make that same mistake again. She’d be lucky if he let her and Bella out of his sight again. After all that happened today is over protectiveness was going to be on hyper drive. He listened as this Harrison man spoke to Alice. Failed to show up for what? This man didn’t give off such a great vibe and Cailen was suspicious of the man. He of course had something to do with Bella’s kidnapping and that didn’t make him too happy with the man. He didn’t like the way he referred to Alice or the way he looked at Bella. Cailen watched as the man talked on his cell phone and walked away, not taking his eyes off him until he was out of sight.
Cailen was still trying to piece all of the puzzle together when Adam came bolting out of nowhere. At first he thought Adam was going to do something to him, seeing as how that eye was looking worse than he remembered. But Adam ran right past Cailen and straight into Alice. All Cailen could do was watch as he embraced Alice and actually cried. It was the first he saw Adam cry and it took him by surprise. He must have gotten the message that she was dead. He knew that Adam was just overjoyed and emotional, but did he have to hug his girlfriend like that? After the events of the day, Cailen was sure if he and Alice were still together, but he liked to still think they were. He could feel the anger welling up as he watched them and was thankful when a hand tugging on his distracted him from it all. He turned to see Bella and could barely hear what she said. It took a moment for him to register that it was Bella, there in the flesh. He’d heard Harrison talk to her and probably looked right at her, but until this moment he didn’t seem to register her reappearance.
He’d been too worried about Alice’s “death” and trying to figure out what was going on to make the connection. He felt incredibly guilty at not giving his sister the attention she deserved. She was after all, gone for almost the whole day. As he stared at his sister, he could feel the tears starting to well up and burn in his eyes. Bella was alright. She was back and she was safe. He pulled her in for a tight squeeze and held her there refusing to let her go. He was afraid that if he did she would go missing again. He will never again under appreciate seeing his sister again. “Bella you’re ok” he said between the sobs. “I am so sorry. I’m sorry for getting you into this mess and I’m sorry it took so long. It will never happen again. I missed you so much.” He felt like a blubbering baby, but he couldn’t help it. All of the days stress and worries were starting to pour out of him. He held it in for this long, but now he couldn’t contain it any more. Knowing that his grip was getting uncomfortable for her, he reluctantly loosened his grip and gave her room to breathe. Cailen then remembered one important detail that she told him shortly before her kidnapping.
His eyes automatically went to her stomach as if she would have suddenly gotten so much bigger in a day’s time. He tried not to keep his eyes there too long knowing it might make her uncomfortable. He saw her glance towards Jack and her pained expression as she turned back away. It suddenly became clear that there was something going on between them. He looked over to see Jack and Skylar’s hands entwined and realized that Skylar must not know. He gave her a small smile, as it was all he could manage. He felt for her, being in her place not so long ago. Cailen then remembered Bella’s request at leaving. Leaving the casino seemed like a good idea. It would be best to get out of here and somewhere safe, except where would be a safe place? If this Alexis girl was still after them, surely she could find them. Tony still hadn’t gotten his money and now he had no leverage over Cailen anymore. Would he be angry and still want to get revenge? He knew they had to get out of there, now. “Guys, I think we better go.” He looked down at Alice’s bleeding side. “And we should probably get Alice back to the hospital and get her fixed.” Maybe the hospital should just have a bed with her name on it since she has been there so much today.

Watching Alice drive away, in her car, enraged Alexis beyond belief. She full-heartedly intended on making the blonde pay for all the trouble she caused. On top of that, she was also going to make Bella pay for stealing Harrison. "I'll make the whole damn group pay!" she yelled out to no one as she pulled herself up off of the ground. Her first inclination was to use the pay phone to call the police and report her car stolen, that would help her find the location of Alice. Of course, she quickly realized that idea was not feasible. Alice would surely explain what Alexis had done, if she had not already gone to the police about the incident.
"No... she wouldn't be ******** smart enough to do that," Alexis mused aloud, fully knowing that the first place Alice was going to go was where she believed Adam was. It disgusted her just how much the blonde cared for Adam. Sure, he was good in bed, but that wasn't reason enough to be so damn obsessed. Alexis didn't even realize the irony of that particular thought of hers, but then again, she didn't consider herself to be obsessed with anyone. Instead of calling the police, she pulled a quarter out of her pocket and dialed the number for a local cab company. She was going to go to the casino. If Adam knew of Bella's whereabouts, he would surely go there to be the hero. Alice surely would have anticipated this move, and would go there to see him. To show him she was still alive. For now, you little slut, for now.
She was surprised at just how quickly the cab driver showed up. She climbed into his vehicle and muttered out the location of where she was wanting to go. The ride was in silence, but she then remembered that she was still in possession of Alice's cell phone. She figured that since she had it, she'd cause a little bit of trouble prior to ending the lives of those she'd come to loathe.

To: Cailen
Message: I'm in love with Adam.
I'm ******** with your head.
I never loved you.
Alexis smirked, not realizing that Alice would be standing in such close proximity to Cailen, and that he could clearly tell that she wasn't the one sending the text message. She wondered what else she was going to do. Perhaps, a threat of sorts might be fun, she considered.
From: Alice
To: Bella
Message: Watch your back.
And maybe you're front too...
It's only a matter of time.
For you and the baby.
Alexis had done enough digging through the vast amount of research work papers that she had found to know that Bella was pregnant. Of course, the identity of the father wasn't known, but Alexis had decided that it was probably Adam. He was the one most likely to have slept with every female in the group, in her eyes. She loathed him for not calling her after that night, but at the same time, she found herself drawn to anyone that paid her the least bit of attention.
Pulling out her own cell phone, she decided to send one final message.
From: Alexis
To: Adam
Message: You shouldn't have betrayed me.
Alice will pay for your mistakes.
With that, she put away both phones and patiently awaited her arrival at the casino.

Too many things were happening and her emotions felt like they were going haywire. She decided the best thing to do was to just sit and wait until someone spoke to her. It was better than trying to keep up with everything else that was going on. This was why she was surprised to be taken out of her thoughts by Bella wrapping her arms around her. She didn’t hesitate long before wrapping her own arms around her slender body. While the hug was a little tighter than what Skylar was used to, she just attributed it to Bella being scared and relieved to see familiar faces. She was certain that she would act the same way if the situations were reversed.
Not too much later people were talking of leaving the casino. Skylar thought it was a good idea, considering the kidnappers for Bella were around here. She looked over at Jack and smiled slightly. When she looked away she noticed Cailen looking at her. Giving him a smile in return, she waited for someone to direct them out of there. Skylar didn’t have a car so she couldn’t very well be giving the orders. She also wasn’t the type of person to give orders in the first place.
[sorry this is horribly short. I’m just waiting impatiently for Skylar to find out about Jack and Bella. It’s killing me!]
