Fefga whimpered. "It's only one person... but he's so strong. He has no supernatural powers, but I feel the darkness in him. He is poison..." Fefga's appearance seemed to be slowly becoming strained and exhausted. "If only my powers had completely returned..."
She looked at the king with sad, almost tearful eyes. "I can't keep him out much longer... I'm sorry!"

Seeing the bandit and strangely dressed boy running away Wallace laughed, "Gwahahahaha! You think you can run from the great Wallace?! I ran around Caelin three times in full armor! I will catch you, and when I do so you will wish you had never heard the name of Wallace!" After that he continued to chase after the two, somehow not managing to notice Blossom and Derrin until he ran into Blossom and lost his balance. He then tripped over an uneven stone and hit the ground with an extremely loud crash that shattered several nearby windows.
After the collision with Blossom, Wallace slowly got to his feet an muttered under his breath something that sounded suspiciously about being to old for this sort of thing and that these young whippersnappers needed to watch were they were going. After regaining his feet he looked over to see what foolish young boy had the nerve to appear out of nowhere and trip him. Instead, he saw a small girl lying not far from a sword that should have been impossible for her to carry. Damn, she must be a hell of a lot stronger than many knights I've know to be able to wield that large of a sword with her small frame. She must have read my book! Following that thought Wallace knelt down next to Blossom and helped her too her feet. "My sincerest apologies young lady. I did not notice you due to being so focused on bringing that bandit to justice. Please forgive me for this grave offense."

His Command of the siege weapons came at a cost, as an arrow bit deep into his shoulder. He winced, but dare not cry out in pain. He did however, let out a string of cusses that would put hardened sailors to shame. It was probably some poor sap thinking he was the second in command. Ah well. It was for the best he reckoned. As long as he was a prime target, that would leave others to battle more safely. Grunting, he slipped behind his siege weapon, as others gaped at his wound. now freely flowing with the trickle of blood. "What are ye starin' at, ye buffoon? Get back tae the defense," He growled low, the soldier going back to his duties. He grasped the arrow, snapping the think in half so there was less of a protrusion to worry about catching on things. "Bah.'tis Gonnae be a grizzly day."
It seemed like hell had broken loose. But he would not waver. Even in death. Martyrdom would only suit him. Not that he wanted to die, but it seemed inevitable as the enemy scrambled beneath him. He was weaponless. His siege weapon could do nothing inside the city. but, he could at least use his fists and tactics to aid his comrades.((Sorry for the way late reply. work has me tied))

You know I can't slow down...
I can't hold back...
*******************
A deep sigh escaped his lips as Lance got up. "Aaaah~...how unsightly." The actual fall didn't hurt so much as he was intoxicated, but his pride took a fairly bad beating. No matter. Pests were swarming up around him. He wasn't sure how many, since for all he knew, he could be seeing some in doubles. Lance glanced around himself, trying to analyze the situation. His head started spinning about two thoughts in, so it all came down to 'there's a bunch of our guys there, a cat and some darkies fighting eachother'. This wasn't really the time to think out elaborate tactics, this was the time to act!
Gazing forward, Lance spotted two people that caught his interest. Well, one and a half really, since one of them was gutted and lying in a pool of blood by now. He remembered her blonde hair that stood out amongst the rest. What was her name? Am...Am...let's go with Amy, it rolled easily on the tongue. The other one stood out in the sense that the fellow was guarding the front gate, which Lance thought was probably the position assigned to the commander of these lamoes.. The front gate lead to the king. Hence, it made perfect logical sense that Lance would have to go through there to get to the king and his new royal treatment!
"Raaaaaaaaaah! Out of my way!" he yelled as he powered up another burst at his hands, literally plowing a path through the pests that were in front of him. As he approached the last figure, he shifted his trajectory to make a leap into the air, before letting gravity take its toll. "You're a nuisance, kid!" he shrieked as he stretched out his leg, aiming for the upper body of Murphy.*******************

The path to the castle was slowly growing shorter and shorter. They could do it! Even if they didn't overtake them on the way, Blossom just knew they wouldn't lose them! This would be a snap! She was still running when the sudden sound of clang-clang-clang echoed in her ears, and then a metallic form was crashing into her back.
Blossom's sheer momentum sent her a handful of paces ahead of Wallace as he hit the ground, apparently loud enough and forceful enough to send the panes of the windows of some nearby houses, already precariously cracked and damaged, to completely shatter. Blossom ended up crashing to the ground some meters ahead of Wallace, dazed and confused. "O-Ow..."
"My sincerest apologies, young lady."
Blossom blinked, watching as Wallace suddenly appeared next to her and brought her to her feet. "O-Oh! Wallace! Thank you very much for helping, bu-but I don't have time to chat, I have to catch up to Jaren! He's a good friend of Derrin's and it's very important and--Oh!" Blossom looked ahead; Ali and Jaren were barely visible now. "Oh no! We're going to lose them, Derrin, hurry!" Blossom rushed ahead, scooping her sword up as she set off at a run again, already sprinting once more. Either the Hero's lung capacity was marvelous, or the adrenaline was setting her in Overdrive. No telling how long it would last before she crashed, though. Murphy could only smile faintly as Drake's fury was pressed upon the barrier. It would shatter within the hour for sure. Now they just had to keep everyone out, and-- Wait, what in the name of the holy spirit was that golden-eyed man doing? He literally burst through the Shadow Guild peons that were attempting to stop him, and now was leaping through the air, aiming right for the Assassin watching in temporary shock. "You're a nuisance, kid!"The Assassin's lean frame crouched low, and Murphy tucked and rolled forward as Lance's foot careened with where a black-clothed collarbone used to be, colliding now only with empty darkness. Murphy rose up rapidly as Lance soared past and threw one of the fallen Shadow Guild member's daggers at his back. Whether or not it hit, Murphy drew farther away, brown eyes focused warily on the wild card that had chosen to make the first strike, knives returning to bandage-wrapped hands. Murphy waited, muscles tensed and ready.

Lance nearly lost his balance as he landed. He had expected to meet resistance in the manner of bones, but instead it was just air. He kept himself from falling over, and unsteadily peered around, completely oblivious to the dagger that had been thrown. After all, darkness and intoxication kind of impaired your sight. "W-...why did you dodge? Aren't you supposed to..." he slurred, before his eyes met with Murphy's. That's when he finally understood the guy's intention. When sometimes men of equal power clashed in battle, they did not need words to communicate. Sometimes passion conveyed feelings better than any words could. And that's what he understood when he saw Murphy's eyes.
Hmph. You are indeed strong. You are worthy of meeting the king. I will step aside and let you through, for that is the code of which I abide by.
No other reason made sense since the man had left the path unguarded and let Lance go on with ease, at least to him.
"Y-you...you really are a nice person, aren't you? Thank you for letting me pass! I will not disappoint you, I swear it!" With that, Lance turned around again and joyfully skipped along, humming a cheerful tune as he passed through, unknowingly approaching Drake.*******************

Murphy stared at Lance in a mixture of confusion and derision, knives gripped tightly in slim fingers. Of course I dodged, you simpleton, what was I supposed to do, get clocked in the face? The Assassin crouched slightly as Lance startled slightly, stared, and... "Thank you for letting me pass!""Wh-What??" Murphy almost didn't respond at first, confounded as Lance simply started to hurry right towards Drake, who was still bashing away at the red barrier that prevented him from entering the castle like a dying man in the desert being denied entrance to a source of water. Finally the Assassin rushed at Lance, throwing a knife at his back. "Get back here, you moron!" Murphy cried out in frustration, brown eyes blazing. The black-clothed Assassin leaped at Lance and attempted to knock him bodily to the ground, springing back to an upright position as soon as either he hit the ground, or as the attempt failed, in order to slash the other knife at his back. Vaguely Murphy wondered if such panic was even worth it on a fool like this, but considering his previously-displayed ability to somehow scatter an entire ring of enemies with a single unknown burst of power, it was a risk that needed to be taken. Even drunkards could be dangerous if you let them, and Murphy didn't want to afford Lance that opportunity.

Jaren had taken about a half a step when Ali grabbed him by his collar.
"BLUUURK!" He exclaimed as his access to air was cut off, he was still waving his sword around menacingly at Wallace while his boot heels bounced over the cobblestones. His other hand waved a bye-bye at Blossom and Derrin, the myrmidon watched as Wallace crashed into the poor hero girl, further buying him and Ali time to escape.
Or well Ali time to escape and Jaren time to be strangled.

Its not my fault you’re such a moron
Derrin, Angry Mage Extrodinare Just leave me alone ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Derrin in the back, had the safest view of the events that occurred, which in his opinion meant the best view. "Why is Jaren there?"He thought to himself, "Who's the black guy? Arrrgh it doesn't matter, I'll just kick his a** and ask questions afterwards." A surprisingly good philosophy when it came to Jaren's predicaments, knock everyone involved out, grab Jaren and run.
It didn't really take a genius to predict that Wallace was going to collide with Blossom from where Derrin was standing, "Blossom look out he doesn't" CRASH "... see you." He finished as she fell to the ground.
"You damn well better be sorry! You could have hurt her you walking tin pot!" Derrin rushed over to where Blossom was intending to try and help her up but Wallace managed to beat him to the punch. This only pissed him off more and he started to shout over Blossom.
"Why don't you watch were you're waddling next time you colossal buffon? Or I could just fry you inside your useless armour? Does that sound good, Wallace right? Do you prefer medium rare or well done?" He growled raising his hand and pointing it directly at Wallace's head. Sure his aim wasn't very good but at this distance and with Wallace basically acting as a giant conductor of metal how could he.
"Are you okay Blossom? Should I turn him into a nightlamp?" He said turning to ask her, only to find she was gone off running down the road after Jaren and whoever the black guy was. This is probably the only thing that prevented a fight from breaking out as Derrin was more concerned with her safety then he was with ruining Wallace's day. "Hey, Blossom! Don't go running off on your own! This is how you got lost in the first place!" He muttered as he chased after her.
He also completely forgot about Wallace.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please... Magic is my life, my soul, my heart

Ali and Jaren had avoided the conflict with those three Learanians and managed to get away. Once Jaren actually turned and started running for himself, the two of them continued down the streets. The next opening they reached was outside of the castle's courtyard, where the shadow guild was fending off more Learanians. "Okay, kid, this is it! Take out any Learanains and don't let any get in that courtyard!"
The black bandit, who's presence made him the commanding leader of the bandit forces while Drake was busy, ran out and quickly cut down one soldier that was about to spear an assassin. "Don't think so, ********!" He continued running toward the perimeter that had been set up, to help defend it. A slight sensation of morale came over the assassins.

After being repelled once more, Drake propped himself on his sword. He had lost count of how many swings he dished out on that barrier, but he had to stop and catch his breath. Various small cracks all gathered to one point that looked like it would fall apart at any moment. It just needed one more push. Drake looked over at his shoulder and saw that his frantic behavior had worsened the cut he got from that girl's final attack. He didn't care, he could suffer through a necessary injury like that one. The time was flying by like the wind, especially since he was in a hurry. The sun could already be on its way up and just hidden by the eastern mountains for all he knew. Even if it wasn't, it would be long before it was. Drake had to get passed the barrier right away.
He glared at the barrier as he straightened up. He was much more calm, but still just as pissed off. He managed one sigh and then darted off again. With a collected strength, he leaped and put full force into one more swing. Shards of the barrier burst everywhere and dissolved away, followed by larger chunks. The barrier was gone, but there was a still a door to break down. He brought his fingers to his lips and blew one long whistle. A shadow guild member quickly came to him, kneeling. "...Get the black powder. NOW." He leaned back on his sword and tried to catch his breath again.
Black power was dangerous to carry around, so once the houses were rid of archers, the black powder that the shadow guild was carrying was stored in them until it was needed. Drake wasn't planning to use it to break open the door, but he had no choice. Taking out that barrier took too much out of him and he needed to rest a little. It took some time to retrieve the amount needed, while avoiding combat. The waste of time was even more irritating. But once the shadow guild member returned, the powder and a trail were placed and the assassin hastily obeyed orders and used a torch to light the fuse.
The result led to a loud explosion, leaving pieces of the castle door laying all around the entrance, still on fire. Drake casually strolled through the smoke and into the castle. He immediately locked eyes with the child king. "Greetings, 'your kingliness'... nice night, isn't it?"

You know I can't slow down...
I can't hold back...
*******************
Hum de dum de dum!
His happy tune got interrupted by a shrill voice. As Lance turned around, he could see the guy that had let him pass running at him. Lance grinned sheepishly. "Ooooh! So you can talk! I thought you were a mute!" His hearing a bit dull from the liquor, he couldn't make out all the words, but he did hear 'moron'.
Wait...it felt like he was overlooking something crucial...
AH! He was called a moron!
No wait, something more important...although, his mind was already set on the first thing. "Hey! I'm not a mo-...hurk!"
Oh. Ooooh. OOOOOOOH. It wasn't all that strange, considering how much he had been drinking, and what with all the moving later, but this really had the worst timing possible! His newfound friend that just called him a moron was running straight at him, and he had reached his limit! He tried yelling at Murphy to get away, but it was far too late, as Murphy was already in his face. Not even being able to raise his arms to cover his mouth, he lost the battle of keeping it down anymore.
In a cascade fountain of puke and vomit, Lance emptied his stomach's interior right onto Murphy, who tragically had come too close for comfort to be protected against it. When the stream finally subsided, Lance felt like a new man. "Oh man, that sure sobered me up, it's like I've started anew..."
Ooooh hang on.
"...AAAAH! I'm so sorry! I, I don't know what happened, it all came so fast, I really didn't mean to shower you in it!"
Panicked, he started rummaging through his belongings, trying to find something to help with the issue at hand. Finally settling for a piece of clothed, he dove in for Murphy. "Hang on! I'll help you wipe it off!"
It was just by luck that he hardly had anything in his stomach except for drinks, or else there'd be an even nastier mess to clean up. Though it still felt like Lance was neglecting something...*******************

Well what’s so bad about a little coin toss now and then?
The Tempest King Ahhh why don't you Live a little! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C'mon! All in! I'm feeling lucky today! The moment the gate came into sight Joshua started loping ahead of the rest of the crowd intending to clear a path for Nino to the top of the battlements. Audhulma in his hand Joshua reached the stairs and deflected an axe before slashing a clean cut in a bandit who was coming down them. With his free hand Joshua pushed the body off the side of the stairs, he continued ascending them, viscously cutting down another bandit which had swiftly followed the first.
He was on the battlement now, and gave time to flash a grin at Akihi, whom Joshua hadn't seen in a while. The other two people who seemed noticeable he didn't recognise. It didn't matter, they could exchange names later, Joshua flew into battle with the ferocity of a sandstorm. His sword flashed up and down, in and out, again and again, blocking, slashing, stabbing, the guard member ran a bandit through before pushing him off the wall, the corpse landed on top of a Mordachian who had been operating the ram. That didn't slow them down in the slightest however as another one took his position.
"Tenacious innit?" He called out with a laugh, as he turned to engage another bandit. C'est le vie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How about we toss a coin? Heads I win Tails you DIE

"It's the Captain!" a Learanian soldier shouted with relief. "Captain! Here! Over here! We need you on the wall!" The soldier knocked back a bandit and ran over to the stairs along with the red-haired swordsman. "We'll help make a path!" Soldiers formed up around Nino and followed her to keep the enemies off of her. The efforts of the ground forces would keep back the bandits so that none reached the stairs.
At the top of the stairs, one soldier was killed by a Mordachean and an archer was done in by an eclipse spell. There weren't many Learanians left up there to keep the enemies off of Nino so she could work her magic. Luckily, along with Joshua, two other adept fighters, Alex and Rook, could also help out.

As Nino's small group reached the gate, the archsage spotted a hero yelling to her. She gave a nod and yelled "Keep it up, Abel! I'm going up the wall!" Joshua gruesomely cleared a path for her as they ascended the stairs to the top of the wall. Learanian Soldiers received and joined their group on the way up, graciously keeping the enemies off. She stopped and stared down at the enemies on the other side. They were trying to ram the gate down, of course... and she had a clear shot. If she destroyed the ram, they would not get in. She had to hurry to select a spell. She chose Arcthunder. It would be violent and take a moment to get ready for, though... "Joshua! Cover me!" The girl raised Sophos above her head. The heavens began to stir, dark clouds forming and swirling above them. Several huge bolts of lightening came screaming down from the sky, aimed directly for the ram and the surrounding unfortunate souls. There was a crash before a resounding boom of thunder that could be heard possibly throughout the country as the lightening crashed into the enemies. The flash lasted only seconds, but the smoke remained...
And only the smoke.
